< Job 42 >

1 Chutah chun Job in Pakai chu adonbut tai.
Then Job answered the LORD, and said,
2 Thil ijakai bolthei nahi naleh, nanatoh koiman nasuh tang theilou chu keiman kahei.
I know that thou canst do every [thing], and [that] no thought can be withholden from thee.
3 Thil hetkhen theina beija kathil hetkhen theina dongpa chu koiham? Tin nei donge. Hichepa chu kei kahi. Chule keiman kahet khah louhel thu kana sei kha tai.
Who [is] he that hideth counsel without knowledge? therefore have I uttered that I understood not; things too wonderful for me, which I knew not.
4 Ngaijin keiman nasei peh inge. Keiman nangma thu kadoh a chuleh nangin nei donbut ding ahi.
Hear, I beseech thee, and I will speak: I will demand of thee, and declare thou unto me.
5 Masanga chu nangma hi athu a bou kana jah tho ahin, ahinlah tun vang kamit tah in kamutai.
I have heard of thee by the hearing of the ear: but now mine eye seeth thee.
6 Kana thusei jouse kageldoh sohkei tai. Chuleh keima kakisih taiti vetsahnan, leivui leh vutvam lah a hin katouve.
Wherefore I abhor [myself], and repent in dust and ashes.
7 Pakaiyin thu hijatpi hi Job koma asei nungin Teman mipa Eliphaz komah aseitai. Nangma leh nagol teni chunga kalung ahange. Kasohpa Job sei bangin kachungchang thu adihchet in nanghon nasei pouve.
And it was [so], that after the LORD had spoken these words unto Job, the LORD said to Eliphaz the Temanite, My wrath is kindled against thee, and against thy two friends: for ye have not spoken of me [the thing that is] right, as my servant Job [hath].
8 Hijeh chun bongchal sagi leh kelngoichal sagi ma kikai unlang kasohpa Job koma cheuvin, chuleh nangma ho a dingin kilhaina govam thilto gabol un. Kasohpan nangho dingin nataopeh untin chuleh keiman taona chu nangho minna kasan peh a, natoh dungjui uva kalethuh tahlou ding ahi. Ijeh inem itile nanghon kasohpa Job bangin kachungchang thu adihchet in nasei pouve ati.
Therefore take unto you now seven bullocks and seven rams, and go to my servant Job, and offer up for yourselves a burnt offering; and my servant Job shall pray for you: for him will I accept: lest I deal with you [after your] folly, in that ye have not spoken of me [the thing which is] right, like my servant Job.
9 Hiti chun Teman mipa Eliphaz, Shuh mipa Bildad chule Naamat mi Zophar chun Pakai thupeh bangin agabol un chuleh Pakaiyin Job taona asanpeh tai.
So Eliphaz the Temanite and Bildad the Shuhite [and] Zophar the Naamathite went, and did according as the LORD commanded them: the LORD also accepted Job.
10 Job chun aloi agolte dinga ataopeh phat in Pakaiyin vangphat nan akile sah in, tahbeh in Pakaiyin masanga aneijat sanga ajatni a tamjon apetai.
And the LORD turned the captivity of Job, when he prayed for his friends: also the LORD gave Job twice as much as he had before.
11 Chutah chun asopi pasal holeh numeiho chuleh masanga akihetpi aloi agolte ahungun a in'ah an anehkhompi uvin ahi. Pakaiyin ama douna a achung hange thilse analhunsah ho jouse jal chun amapa chu alhem un chuleh alhamon un ahi. Chuleh amaho khat cheh chun amapa din thilpeh sum le sana khutjem ahin choipeh uve.
Then came there unto him all his brethren, and all his sisters, and all they that had been of his acquaintance before, and did eat bread with him in his house: and they bemoaned him, and comforted him over all the evil that the LORD had brought upon him: every man also gave him a piece of money, and every one an earring of gold.
12 Hijeh chun Pakaiyin Job hinkho anukhat lang chu akipat tillai sangin phatthei aha boh jon, hijeh chun tun kelngoi sangsom le sangli aneiyin, sangong sao sang gup aneiyin, bongchal kop sangkhat aneiyin, chule sanganpi sangkhat aneitai.
So the LORD blessed the latter end of Job more than his beginning: for he had fourteen thousand sheep, and six thousand camels, and a thousand yoke of oxen, and a thousand she asses.
13 Aman jong Job chu chapa sagi apeh ben, chule numei jong thum jen apeh bei.
He had also seven sons and three daughters.
14 Amapan achanu masapen chu Jemiah asah in, anina Keziah asah in, chule athumna Keremhappuch asah e.
And he called the name of the first, Jemima; and the name of the second, Kezia; and the name of the third, Keren-happuch.
15 Gamsung jouse a numei lah a Job Chanute banga melhoi dang aumpoi. Chuleh apaovin amaho chu asopi pasal ho toh alunglhaina bang tah in asem khomin ahi.
And in all the land were no women found [so] fair as the daughters of Job: and their father gave them inheritance among their brethren.
16 Hicheng nung hin Job chu kum jakhat le somli ahingin, achate leh atute khangli chan geijin amun ahi.
After this lived Job an hundred and forty years, and saw his sons, and his sons’ sons, [even] four generations.
17 Chutah chun Job chu hinkho bulhingset in ahingin, tehse mong monga hingin atehthi tai.
So Job died, [being] old and full of days.
