< Job 41 >
1 Ngakoija Leviathan namat thei ding ham? Ahiloule aha a khaokol nabu peh thei ding ham?
Canst thou draw out the crocodile with a fishhook? or cause his tongue to sink into the batted rope?
2 Anahhom sunga khao nathil lut theija, ahiloule akhalhang thihhem a nasut vang thei ding ham?
Canst thou put a reed through his nose? or bore his jaw through with a thorn?
3 Nakhoto ding ngeh na a, hung taova ahiloule nalainat pi dinga hung tao tuntun nam?
Will he address many supplications unto thee? or will he speak submissively unto thee?
4 Ahinkho a nasoh a panga nanatong dinga nanop peh ding hinam?
Will he make a covenant with thee? that thou couldst take him as a servant for ever?
5 Nangin hiche khu vacha banga nangailut bol thei hiya, ahiloule nachapang neunu kichepna dinga napeh thei ding ham?
Canst thou play with him as with a bird? and tie him up for thy maidens?
6 Kivei mihon athiljoh nau mun ho a joh dinga ahung kichoh diu hinam?
Can companions waylay him? can they divide him among merchants?
7 Avun khu tengcha a nasut khah theija, ahiloule aluchang ngathal a nakap khah thei ding ham?
Canst thou fill his skin with barbed irons? and [pierce] with a fish-spear his head?
8 Achunga nakhut ngam in lang hile chun kidounan ahin jui ding khu geldoh in natin, avel a nabol patep kit lou hel ding ahitai.
Lay thy hand upon him; think of the battle: thou wilt never do it again.
9 Ahipoi hiche mat ding got chu phatchomna bei ahin, sadel hatpa thiltup jong chu kisuhnem peh ding ahi.
Behold, his expectation was deceived: even at his mere sight is he cast down.
10 Chuleh a itih a koima chan asuhnoh phah ngamlou ahin, koiham kamasanga ding ngam ding chu.
None is so daring that he would stir him up: and who is there that will stand up before me?
11 Kangaichat pet tah a kalepeh kit ding thil eipe chu koi ham? Vannoija thil umjouse hi keija ahi.
Who hath shown me favor, that I should repay him! whatsoever is under the whole heaven is mine.—
12 Leviathan tibah ho hoidan chuleh athahat oupe dan chule agongso hoidan ho kasei nomme.
I will not conceal [the account of] his limbs, nor the relation of his might, nor the grace of his proportion.
13 Avun khu kon alahdoh peh theija chule athoa um agalvon khu kon amulet pai thei ding ham?
Who hath ever laid open the front of his garment? or who can penetrate into his double row of teeth?
14 Akhalhang khu kon akal keh a ahondoh ding ham? Ajeh chu aha khu tijat jat um behseh jeng ahi.
Who hath opened the doors of his face? all round about his teeth abideth terror.
15 Alip ho chu pho banga agol gol a detchet a mahor kinam banga thakhat'a kinam detchet ahi.
What pride is there in [his] strong shields; he is locked up as with a close seal.
16 Kimatchet a umkhom ahijeh chun akah a hui jangkhat cha jong alut theipoi.
One is joined to another; and no breath can come between them.
17 Alip khat chu aban'a alip chunga hub eh detchet a, khat leh khat kikam toa kimulet pai theilou ahi.
They are fitted closely one to another: they are interlocked, that they cannot be severed.
18 Anah akhon tengle avahlap lap jengin, amitchang teni jong jingkah nichangsat pet toh abange.
From his sneezing there beameth forth a light, and his eyes are like the eyelids of the morning-dawn.
19 Akamsunga konin meisi apahlah lah jin, meikou ahung vahdoh ji'e.
Out of his mouth issue burning torches, sparks of fire escape [therefrom].
20 Meichunga twibel kisonga, twihu pot bangin anahhomma konin meikhu ahung kitung doh ji'e.
Out of his nostrils cometh forth smoke, as out of a seething pot or caldron.
21 Akamsunga konna meikou alendoh ji jeh chun, ahai husa chun meihol ahal kou jeng jin ahi.
His breath kindleth coals, and a flame cometh out of his mouth.
22 Leviathan ngongchang thahatna chun chene jouse a kichat tijatna asosah e.
In his neck abideth strength, and before him danceth terror joyfully.
23 Aphe ho chu atah in chuleh adetchet in, akimulet thei poi.
The flakes of his flesh are fitted closely together: they are as molten metal on him, immovable.
24 Alungchang chu song bangin atah in sumhei song bangin atah e.
His heart is firm like a stone: yea, as firm as the nether millstone.
25 Ahung kithodoh tengle thahat chungnung ho akicha jiuvin, kichat tijatnan amanchah kheh jin ahi.
At his lifting himself up the mighty are terrified: the waves also are lessened.
26 Chemjam, tengcha, thalchang ahiloule tengcha neoho khat chan asutang joupoi.
If one overtake him with the sword, it cannot hold; nor the spear, the dart, and armor.
27 Thih jong imacha ahisah poi. Hiche thilsem ding hin changpol tobangbep bou ahin, chuleh sum-eng jong thing motsa tobangbep ahi.
He esteemeth iron as straw, [and] brass as rotten wood.
28 Thalchang in adeljam joupon, song aboma kisep jong chu hampan ajepkhah abang bep e.
The child of the bow cannot make him flee: into stubble are slingstones changed unto him.
29 Akivoh ho jong chu ham donthah toh abahsah in chule tengcha neu euvel vul hung leng jong chu anuisat bep e.
Clubs are esteemed as stubble, and he laugheth at the whirring of the lance.
30 A oipoh chu haihal hemtah tobang alip in atom in ama chena nung chu loukai nang pan lou akainangna nung abahsah ji'e.
Beneath him are sharp-pointed potsherds, he spreadeth out, [as it were, a] threshing-roller upon the mire.
31 Leviathan chun twi lah'a aum tengle twi chu belphul abahsah ji'e. Twikhanglen tojong thao kiloijol abahsah jin ahi.
He causeth the deep to boil like a pot: he rendereth the sea like an apothecary's mixture.
32 Twi lah'a ache tengle twi kinong ho chu aval lah lah jin, gah vet ding'in twikhanglen chu akang in akilang ji'e.
Behind him he causeth his pathway to shine, [so that] men esteem the deep to be hoary.
33 Leiset chunga ama kibahpi aumpon, ama tobanga kichat neilou thilsem ganhing dang aumpoi.
There is none upon earth that ruleth over him, who is made to be without dread.
34 Thilsem ganhing jouse lah a akiletsah pen ahin, amahi ganhing jouse leng ahi.
He looketh upon all that is high: he is the king over all the ravenous beasts.
