< Jeremiah 9 >

1 Kaluchang hi twikul hihen, chuleh kamit teni hi lhitwi putna twinah hileh, sun leh jan in kamite kithatsa ho din, keima kaple maovin umtange.
Oh that my head were waters, and my eyes a fountain of tears, that I might weep day and night for the slain of the daughter of my people!
2 Ohe, kamite hi dalha-a vahmang thei hing ting, chuleh nelphai gamthip’a kholjin miho gemun’a kiselmang thei hileng, kati! Ajeh chu amaho hi mitoh jonbol leh milhem chavai jeng ahiuve.
Oh that I had in the wilderness a lodging-place of way-faring men; that I might leave my people, and go from them! for they [are] all adulterers, an assembly of treacherous men.
3 Kamite chu, aleiguiyu thalpi kamsalsa bangin, jouthu seiding salhemin aum’un, thutah dinpijou koima aumpouve. Alahuva setna akhang tul tul jengin, keima jeng jong eihetapouve, tin Pakaiyin aseiye.
And they bend their tongues [like] their bow [for] lies: but they are not valiant for the truth upon the earth; for they proceed from evil to evil, and they know not me, saith the LORD.
4 Hitijeh chun, naheng-nakom ho’a konin kichih theiyun, chuleh nasopi jong ginchat dauvin. Ajeh chu sopi leh sopi jong agomkom hol’a milhem jeng ahiuve. Chuleh gollepai ho jong mi seise leh gaosap’a vahkoile ngen ahiuve.
Take ye heed every one of his neighbor, and trust ye not in any brother: for every brother will utterly supplant, and every neighbor will walk with slanders.
5 Amitakip joulenal in akilhemtouvin, koima thudih sei aumpouve. Jouthu seina leh milhep lhah aleiyu akithemchuh sah’un, chonset abol be be jingun, lungkhel ding agelpouve.
And they will deceive every one his neighbor, and will not speak the truth: they have taught their tongue to speak lies, [and] weary themselves to commit iniquity.
6 Amahon kijoulhepna chunga kijoulhepna abol be be un, chuleh keima hetding donse louvin akoitauve, tun Pakaiyin aseiye.
Thy habitation [is] in the midst of deceit; through deceit they refuse to know me, saith the LORD.
7 Hijeh chun Thaneipen Pakaiyin hitin aseiye, ‘Vetan, keiman amaho kapatep ding, thih meiya kigou; jolla banga kago jol ding ahiuve. Amahon aheng-akom jah’a thu angei ngei aseiyun, ahinlah alungsunguvin mi thina ding jeng ageluve.
Therefore thus saith the LORD of hosts, Behold, I will melt them, and try them; for how shall I do for the daughter of my people?
8 Aleigui jouseu thina thei thalpi tobang jeng ahin, joulhepna jeng thu aseijun; abonchaovin aheng akom ah chamna asei nauvin, hinlah alunggon uvin aheng akom chan lhihna jeng ahi.
Their tongue [is as] an arrow shot out; it speaketh deceit: [one] speaketh peaceably to his neighbor with his mouth, but in heart he layeth his wait.
9 Hicheng jeh’a hi, keiman amaho talen kamatsah da-a, chuleh hitobang nam mite chunga chu, keima tah in phukalah da ding ham? tin Pakaiyin aseiye.
Shall I not visit them for these [things]? saith the LORD: shall not my soul be avenged on such a nation as this?
10 keiman molsang ho kacham ingting, gamthip’a hamdongho din kap inge. Ajeh chu amaho agoplha soh’uvin chuleh akeovin aumgamtauve. Koiman ajotpa tapon, ganchate husa jong akijatapoi. Vachate leh gamsate jong ajammang soh heltauve.
For the mountains will I take up a weeping and wailing, and for the habitations of the wilderness a lamentation, because they are burned up, so that none can pass through [them]; neither can [men] hear the voice of the cattle; both the fowl of the heavens and the beast have fled; they are gone.
11 Keiman, Jerusalem hi khogem kasosah ding, chuleh ngeihonte kokhuh’a kasemding ahi. Chuleh Judah gamsung khopi ho ahomkeova kalha-a, aching ding beihel’a kakoi ding ahi, tin Pakaiyin aseiye.
And I will make Jerusalem heaps, [and] a den of dragons; and I will make the cities of Judah desolate, without an inhabitant.
12 Koiham miching, hicheho abon’a lethemsoh kei ding? Hicheho kiphonna Pakai kamsoh koikom’a lhung ham, chuleh ahilchen thei ding? Ibol’a gamsung hi segam’a chuleh ahomkeova kijam’a, koima cha chele vahle umlou hitam? Kati.
Who [is] the wise man that may understand this? and [who is he] to whom the mouth of the LORD hath spoken, that he may declare it, for what the land perisheth [and] is burned up like a wilderness, that none passeth through?
13 Pakaiyin aseiye, “Kamiten kathupeh adalhah uva, chuleh kasei ajuilou jeh un, achunguva hichenghi soh ahitai.
And the LORD saith, Because they have forsaken my law which I set before them, and have not obeyed my voice, neither walked therein;
14 Amahon, louchal tah in ama ama deicheh abolun, apu apateu bol bang bangin, Baal doilim chu chibai abohtauvin ahi.
But have walked after the imagination of their own heart, and after Baalim, which their fathers taught them:
15 Hiche jehchun, Pakai Van Pathen leh Israel Pathen chun aseitai: Vetan, keiman hiche mite aneh diuva namtul jung kha kapeh ding chuleh adondiuva thina gutwi kakoipeh ding ahi, ati.
Therefore thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Behold, I will feed them, [even] this people, with wormwood, and give them water of gall to drink.
16 Chuleh keiman amahohi, apu apateuvin jong ana jahkhah lou, namtin vaipi lah’a kathethang diu, abonchauva kasuhgamhel kahsea chemjam’a kadelkhum diu ahi,” ati.
I will scatter them also among the heathen, whom neither they nor their fathers have known: and I will send a sword after them, till I have consumed them.
17 Pakai Van Pathen in hitin aseiye, “Gelun ipi soh hitam! Thi-op themho kouvun chuleh thi-opna kala sathem numeiho kousah” un,
Thus saith the LORD of hosts, Consider ye, and call for the mourning women, that they may come; and send for skillful [women], that they may come:
18 Gakou loiyun, lhasetah in kaploiyu hite. Mitlhi longhel hol in eikasah’uhen, atiuve.
And let them make haste, and take up a wailing for us, that our eyes may run down with tears, and our eyelids gush out with waters.
19 Ngaiyun, Jerusalem mite ka-ogin akijai. Eiho ikijumsouva eikisumang hel’u ahitai. Igam u dalhatau hite. Ajih chu ichennau in jouse akisuse gamheltai, atiuve.
For a voice of wailing is heard out of Zion, How are we laid waste! we are greatly confounded, because we have forsaken the land, because our dwellings have cast [us] out.
20 Hijeh chun numei ho, Pakai thusei ngaiphauvin chule nanakhang sung un lutsah un; nacha nuteu chengse kadan hil un chule mijousen aheng akom’a thilhah kadan hil cheh hen.
Yet hear the word of the LORD, O ye women, and let your ear receive the word of his mouth, and teach your daughters wailing, and every one her neighbor lamentation.
21 Ajeh chu thinan i-kot phung tinchang’u ahin phan chule leng inpi chengse insung ahin phatai. Kholaija chapang jouse alhamsoh in, chule vengning lah dunga khangdong chengse jong alhamsoh heltai.
For death hath come up into our windows, [and] hath entered into our palaces, to cut off the children from without, [and] the young men from the streets.
22 Pakaiyin hiti hin aseije tin, seitan. Mithi long chu loujaova eh-banga kisevum lha ding, chang atpa nunga changphal banga kise diu, achomkhom beihel hiding ahi, tin seijin, ati.
Speak, Thus saith the LORD, Even the carcasses of men shall fall as dung upon the open field, and as the handful after the harvest-man, and none shall gather [them].
23 Pakaiyin hiti hin aseije, achingpa jong achih jal’in kiloupisah dahen; ahatpa jong ahat jal’in kiloupisah dahen, chule ahaopa jong ahao jal’in kiloupisah dahen.
Thus saith the LORD, Let not the wise [man] glory in his wisdom, neither let the mighty [man] glory in his might, let not the rich [man] glory in his riches:
24 Hinlah ahaopa chu hiti hin kiloupisah johen, ama chun keima eihe khen theijin tin; ajeh chu lungsetna longlouva nei jing keima kahin, leiset chunga thutanna adih jeng kabol’e tihedoh hen, hiti chun keima kakipah thanomji ti he them hen.
But let him that glorieth, glory in this, that he understandeth and knoweth me, that I [am] the LORD who exercise loving-kindness, judgment, and righteousness, in the earth: for in these [things] I delight, saith the LORD.
25 “Ven, nikho ho ahung lhung tai tin, Pakaiyin aseiye; keiman cheptan loulai chengse chunga talen kapeh ding ahi.
Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will punish all [them who are] circumcised with the uncircumcised;
26 Egypt, Judah amaho chateu le Moab ahin chule neldi gam’a cheng asam kitan kivel ho jaona ahi. Ajeh chu hiche nam mite hin chep akitan pouvin, Israel insung jeng jong alungthima cheptan lou ahi,” ati.
Egypt, and Judah, and Edom, and the children of Ammon, and Moab, and all [that are] in the utmost corners, that dwell in the wilderness: for all [these] nations [are] uncircumcised, and all the house of Israel [are] uncircumcised in the heart.
