Jeremiah 52

1 Zedekiah chu leng ahung channin kum somni le khat alhingtai, Jerusalem ‘a kum som le khat aleng chang e, anu min chu Hamutal ahin, Libnah kho – a Jeremiah chanu ahi.

One and twenty years was Zedekiah old when he became king, and eleven years did he reign in Jerusalem. And his mother's name was Chamutal the daughter of Jeremiah of Libnah.

2 Ahivang in Zedekiah jong Pakai mitmun thilsi abol in, Jehoiachin lengpa bang in aum in ahi.

And he did what is evil in the eyes of the Lord, in accordance with all that Jehoyakim had done.

3 Hiche thil hi anasoh in ahi. Pakai lunghanna konin Jerusalem le Judah gamsung chu amit mua konin abonchauvin atolmang tai. Zedekiah chu Babylon lengpa dounan gal abol’ in ahi.

For through the anger of the Lord it came to pass against Jerusalem and Judah, till he had cast them out of his presence, that Zedekiah rebelled against the king of Babylon.

4 Hichun Tuolbuol som le nga nikhon, a alengchan kumko lhinkum, Babylon lengpa Nubuchadnezzer chu aseipaite jouse toh Jerusalem satdin ahung un, amaidon na chun ponbuh asongun, akhopi kimvela galkul akaikhum taove.

And it came to pass in the ninth year of his reign, in the tenth month, on the tenth day of the month, that Nebuchadrezzar the king of Babylon came, he and all his army, against Jerusalem, and they encamped against it, and built against it works of attack round about.

5 Hitichun Zedekiah lengpa lengchankal kum som le khat lhin geijin Jerusalem chu aumchah tauve.

So the city was placed in a state of siege until the eleventh year of king Zedekiah.

6 Lhamul som le get, kum som le khat lhinna Zedekiah lengvaipoh chun kel akhohtan, gamsung mite din neh ding abeihel tai.

And in the fourth month, on the ninth day of the month, when the famine was severe in the city, so that there was no bread for the people of the land:

7 Chujouvin kulpi pal atumkeh tauve, Babylon miten khopi aumchah jeng vangun, jankah-in sepai jouse ajamdoh tauve, kulbang nikah-a lengpa hon lampi kotpi-a chun ajamdoh – un, Jordan phaicham lampi chu ajon taove.

The city was broken in, and all the men of war fled, and went forth out of the city by night by the way of the gate between the two walls, which was near the king's garden; [while the Chaldeans were round about the city; ] and they went by the way of the plain.

8 Ahinlah Babylon Sepaiten Zedekiah lengpa chu adal uhvin. Jericho phaicham a aman tauve, Ama Sepaite jouse ama – a konin akithe cheh taove.

But the army of the Chaldeans pursued after the king, and they overtook Zedekiah in the plains of Jericho: and all his army was scattered from him.

9 Hichun ama chu amanun, Hamath gam'a Riblah a Babylon lengpa henga apui taove. Hia chun achung athu akitan tai.

And they caught the king, and they brought him up unto the king of Babylon to Riblah in the land of Chamath: and he called him to account.

10 Ama mitmu changtah- in achapate le gam vaipote athapeh tai.

And the king of Babylon slaughtered the sons of Zedekiah before his eyes: and also all the princes of Judah did he slaughter in Riblah.

11 Chujouvin Zedekiah mitchang teni chu akaldoh pehuvin, chun thihkhaovin akanin, Babylon lama akaijin, athi nikho geijin songkul’ a aumtai.

And the eyes of Zedekiah did he blind; and the king of Babylon bound him with brazen fetters, and carried him to Babylon, and put him in the ward-house till the day of his death.

12 Lhajing som le sagi nikho hiche kum, Nubuchadnezzar lengpa lengvaipoh kal kum som le ko lhinna ahin, Babylon lengpa kinbol, Sepai gal lamkai Nebuzaradan chu Jersusalem; a ahunglhun tai.

And in the fifth month, on the tenth day of the month, which was the nineteenth year of king Nebuchadrezzar the king of Babylon, came Nebuzaradan, the captain of the guard, [who] served the king of Babylon, unto Jerusalem.

13 Ama Jerusalem a cheng milen milalte inho le leng inpi chule Pakai Houin ahallhai.

And he burnt the house of the Lord, and the king's house: and all the houses of Jerusalem, and all the houses of the great men, did he burn with fire:

14 Chuin Aman Sepai jouse chu Jerusalem kimvela kulbang jouse avochim soh hel ding athulhah tai.

And all the walls of Jerusalem round about did all the army of the Chaldeans, that were with the captain of the guard, pull down.

15 Chujouvin Sepai gal lamkai Nubuzaradan’ in miho lah – a migenthei phabep le khopi sung a umnalai amohho, Babylon lengpa henga kipelut ho, chule khutthem umden loi ho sohchangin akaimang tai.

And certain of the poorest of the people, and the residue of the people that had been left in the city, and the deserters, that had run away to the king of Babylon, and the rest of the multitude, did Nebuzaradan the captain of the guard carry away into exile.

16 Mivaicha behseh, thil le lo bei chengse vang chu Judah gam'a adalhan, lengpilei le louva natong din akoiye.

But certain of the poorest of the land did Nebuzaradan the captain of the guard leave for vine-dressers and for husbandmen.

17 Babylon miten Pakai Houin mai a sum-eng khomho le sum – eng velkol, chule sum-eng konglen chutoh avobongsoh keiyun, abonchan sum-eng jouse Babylon lama atol tauve.

Also the pillars of copper that were in the house of the Lord, and the bases, and the copper sea that was in the house of the Lord, did the Chaldeans break, and they carried off all their copper to Babylon.

18 Amahon sum-eng chaiche le, maicham suhtheng teng vutlona, thaomei limbolna manchah chengse, kilhaina gantha teng thisan dolna khonho, gimnamtui lhutnamna khon chengse, adang dang Houin kinbolna kimang sum-eng manchah chengse chutoh apomang tauve.

And the pots, and the shovels, and the knives, and the bowls, and the spoons, and all the vessels of copper wherewith they used to perform the service, did they take away.

19 Nubuzaradan, Sepai lamkaipa chun khon neoho le vutloho, kongtongho, khangbel lenho, meivah khomho, thihkhe ho, chule khon ho, sana- a kisem chu sana in, dangka- a kisem chu dangka-in akilah- in ahi.

And the basins, and the censers, and the bowls, and the pots, and the candlesticks, and the spoons, and the purifying-tubes: of what was of gold the gold, and of what was of silver the silver, did the captain of the guard take away.

20 Hou in manchah dinga Solomon lengpa semsa sum-eng jouse, khom teni, velkol ho, atunna bongchal som le ni lim, agihval’ in tethei jong ahipoi.

The two pillars, the one sea, and the twelve copper oxen that served instead of the bases, which king Solomon had made for the house of the Lord: the copper of all these vessels could not be weighed.

21 Khompi khat chu asandan feet somni le sgai, akimvel feet somle get akol khumin, hichu bel li sa-a ahin, asung hom ahi.

And as regardeth the pillars, eighteen cubits was the height of each one pillar; and a thread of twelve cubits would compass it; and its thickness was four fingers: it was hollow.

22 Khom khat cheh chunga hin sum-eng don khat cheh chunga hin sum-eng don

And a capital was upon it of copper; and the height of the one capital was five cubits, with network and pomegranates upon the capital round about, all of copper. And the like was the case with the second pillar and the pomegranates.

23 Kolbuthei lim somko le gup cheh apang khatna aumin, themneltah a kijem chung achu agoma jakhat in akimvel ahi.

And the pomegranates were ninety and six on every side: all the pomegranates upon the network were one hundred round about.

24 Nebuzaradan, Sepai lamkaipa in thempu chungnung Seraiah le Thempu ni channa Zephaniah chule kotngah thum hochu sohchang ding akaiyin ahi.

And the captain of the guard took Serayah the chief priest, and Zephanyah the priest second in rank, and the three door-keepers;

25 Khopi sunga konin sohchang din, Sepai gal lamkaipa, khopi sunga umnalai lengpa thumop’a pang mi sagi toh, gal lamkaipu thalhenpa, ama hi sepai thusim sun a pang ahin, chule milen cheh somgup toh akaithai.

And out of the city he took a certain court-officer, who had the supervision of the men of war: and seven men of those that had free access to the kings presence, who were found in the city; and the scribe of the chief of the army, who ordered to the army the people of the land; and sixty men of the people of the land, that were found in the midst of the city;

26 Nabuzaradan, Sepai lamkai pan, abonchauvin Babylon lengpa umna Riblah alhut uvin ahi.

And Nebuzaradan the captain of the guard took them, and led them away unto the king of Babylon to Riblah.

27 Chuin Babylon lengpan Hamath gam a Riblah mun’a athat gamtai. Hitobang chun Judah chu ama gam'a konin sohchangin aki kaimang tan ahi.

And the king of Babylon smote them, and put them to death in Riblah in the land of Chamath. Thus Judah was carried away into exile out of his own country.

28 Nubuchadnezzarin alengchan kal kum sagi in soh chang a akaimang miho sangthum le somni le thum ahi.

This is the people whom Nebuchadrezzar carried away into exile: in the seventh year, three thousand and twenty and three Jews;

29 Chujouvin Nebuchadnezzar lengchan kum som le getna in Jerusalem’a mi jaget le somthum le ni akai mangbe in ahi.

In the eighteenth year of Nebuchadrezzar from Jerusalem, eight hundred thirty and two persons;

30 Nebuchadnezzar lengchan kum som ni le thum kumin sepai lamkai Nebuzaradan asol in Judah te jasagi le somli lang ahinkai in, abonun mi sang li le jagup ahiuve.

In the three and twentieth year of Nebuchadrezzar, did Nebuzaradan the captain of the guard carry away into exile of the Jews seven hundred forty and five persons; all the persons were four thousand and six hundred.

31 Kum somthum le sagi lhinna Judah lengpa Jehoiachin soh chan kal Lhakao somthum le khat hiche kum chun Evil Merodach Babylon lengpa dinmun chu alotai. Judah lengpa Jehoiachin chu khoto manin songkul’ a konin alhadoh tai

And it came to pass in the seven and thirtieth year of the exile of Jehoyachin the king of Judah, in the twelfth month, on the five and twentieth day of the month that Evil-merodach the king of Babylon in the [first] year of his reign lifted up the head of Jehoyachin the king of Judah, and brought him forth out of the prison-house;

32 Jehoiachin hepitah –in, sohchang khom leng dang ho sang in jong jana len cheh achansah in ahi.

And he spoke kindly with him, and set his throne above the throne of the kings that were with him in Babylon,

33 Asohchanna vonho akhelpeh-in, ahinkho lhum keiyin lengpa dokhang ankong anejom jingpeh tan ahi.

And he changed his prison-garments: and he ate bread before him continually all the days of his life.

34 Chule aneh le chah dingin Babylon lengpa athini geijin tanglouvin ape jing tan ahi.

And his allowance was a continual allowance given him by the king, the necessary ration for the day on its day, until the day of his death, all the days of his life.
