1 Hiche nikho lechun, Israel insung pumpia a Pathen’u kahi ding, chuleh amaho ka mite hiding ahiuve, tin Pakaiyin aseiye.
At the same time, saith the Lord, will I be the God for all the families of Israel, and they shall be unto me for a people.
2 Hitobang manthah na hunglhung a kon’a hingdoh jouse chu, Pakaiyin aseiye, amahon gamkeulah jeng a jong Phattheina amudiu ahi. Ijeh inem itileh, keiman Israel mite kacholdosah phat ahitai, ati.
Thus hath said the Lord, The people of those that are escaped of the sword found grace in the wilderness, —even Israel, when it went to find rest.
3 Pakaiyin Israel jah a hitin aseiye, ‘Khang masalai apat’a, kalungset nahiuve.
“From afar is the Lord appeared unto me,” [saying, ] Yea, with an everlasting love have I loved thee; therefore have I guided thee with loving-kindness.
4 Kamite vo, Israel nungah thengtah, keiman nangma kasahphat kit ding nahi. Chutengle nangma nakipa ding, chuleh khutbeh pum’a nalam ding ahin, tin Pakaiyin aseiye.
Yet again will I build thee up, and thou shalt be built, O virgin of Israel: yet again shalt thou adorn thy timbrels, and go forth in the dances of those that make merry.
5 Nangman Samaria molsang chung ho’a, lengpilei nakibol’a, chuleh nangma honlei’a ga chu naneh ding ahi.
Yet again shalt thou plant vineyards upon the mountains of Samaria: the planters shall plant, and shall redeem the fruit.
6 Ephraim molsang chung’a khongah’a panghon, mi ahinkou diu, hung uvin, eiho Jerusalem a chetou vuhitin, Pakai I Pathen u gahouvu hite, atidingu nikho chu hunglhung ding ahi, ati.
For there cometh a day, that the watchers call out upon the mountain of Ephraim, Arise ye, and let us go up to Zion unto the Lord our God.
7 Pakaiyin hitin aseiye, ‘kipahtah in Israel din la sauvin! Namtin vaipi lah’a aodoh jeng un, thangvah pumin vahchoi un! Vo, Pakai Israel mite amoh chengse hi, huhdoh in, tiuvin.
For thus hath said the Lord, Sing for Jacob with joy, and shout at the head of the nations: publish ye, praise ye, and say, The Lord hath helped thy people, the remnant of Israel.
8 Ajeh chu keiman amaho chenghi, sahlam gamho akon chule leiset ningli a kon’a, kahin puikhom ding ahiuve. Keiman mitcho ho, elbai ho, numei naovop laileh naosonat pet hojong, haimil ponge. Mitampi, ahon hon’a hung kile kitdiu ahi.
Behold, I will bring them from the north country, and I will gather them from the farthest ends of the earth, among them the blind and the lame, the pregnant woman and she that travaileth with child together: a great assembly shall they return hither.
9 Kamite amai uva kipana mitlhi vachut chut ding, keiman amaho chu hepitah aa inmun uva kahin puilut kit ding ahiuve. Vadung panglah’a thimjel’a lam ajot diu, akiselhuh lou nadiuva lampi nomtah’a cediu; ajeh chu keima Israel ding a apa kahin, chule Epharaim chu kacha masapen ahi.
With weeping shall they come, and with supplications will I bring them in: I will lead them by brooks of water in a straight way, whereon they shall not stumble; for I am become a father to Israel, and Ephraim is my first-born.
10 Namtin vaipin, Pakai thusei hohi ngai uvin. Gamlatah’a twikhanglen pang’a cheng ho heng’a gaphongdoh uvin. Kelngoi chingpan akelngoite ahoitup bang’a kamite ana thengthang jongleng, keiman amaho chu kahin khopkhom kit’a, kangatup ding ahi.
Hear the word of the Lord, O ye nations, and tell it in the isles afar off, and say, He that scattereth Israel will gather him, and keep him, as a shepherd his flock.
11 Ajeh chu, Pakaiyin Israel mite chu, achung'uva thunei namtin vaipi hoa kon’a, ahuhdoh’a ajalensah ahitai.
For the Lord hath ransomed Jacob, and redeemed him out of the hand of one stronger than he.
12 Amaho a in uva hung kile kit uva, Jerusalem molvum’a kikhom diu, kipa nopna la asah diu ahi. Pakai phattheiboh tampi chang uva, vah bang a imatdiu; changle mem, lengpitwi thah thah, olive thao, chule kelngoi ahon hon’a, ninglhing sel’a aneidiu ahi. Ahinkhou chu, twi kichapnou jing honlei bang’a, hing dildel ding chule agenthei nau asuhmil diu ahitai.
And they shall come and sing on the height of Zion, and shall come together as a stream to the goodness of the Lord, for wheat, and for wine, and for oil, and for the young of the flocks and of the herds, and their soul shall be as a well-watered garden; and they shall not farther experience grief any more.
13 Chutengle nungah ho kipah thanom’a lam ding’u, chuleh gollhang holeh upa ho jong kipah thanom diu ahi. Keiman alung hemnau chu kipana-a kaheidoh peh’a, amaho kalhamon ding, chuleh agenthei nau chu kipa golnop’a kaheidoh ding ahi.
Then shall the virgin rejoice in the dance, and youth and old men together: and I will change their mourning into gladness, and I will comfort them, and make them rejoice from their sorrow.
14 Chutah le thempu hon nang jeng’a anneh amu diu, chuleh kamiten amaho ding’a kaphat naho chu ninglhingsel a amu uva, kipah thanom’a amu diu ahi, tin Pakaiyin aseiye.
And I will satiate the soul of the priests with fatness, and my people shall be satisfied with my goodness, saith the Lord.
15 Pakaiyin hitin aseiye, ‘Rama kho’a kalemnau agin akijai, lhase tahle lainatah a ka-gin ahi. Rachel in achate akipi pi jeng in, achate abeisoh tah jeh in, ama lhepbi ding anompoi.
Thus hath said the Lord, A voice is heard in Ramah, groaning, weeping, and bitter lamentation; Rachel is weeping for her children: she refuseth to be comforted for her children because they are not [here].
16 Pakaiyin hitin aseiye, nangma kap tahih in, chule namitlhi jong hulsah tan. Ajeh chu natohman nakipe ding, chule gamla tah’a kon’a nachate naheng’a hung kile kit ding ahiuve, ati.
Thus hath said the Lord, Refrain thy voice from weeping, and thy eyes from tears; for there is a reward for thy work, saith the Lord, and they shall return from the land of the enemy.
17 Na khonung thu ding uchu kinep na aum e. Pakai yin aseiye, nachate nagam uva hung kile kit teiding ahiuve, ati.
And there is hope for [thee in] thy future, saith the Lord, and thy children shall return to their own borders.
18 Keiman Israel ka-gin kajan, hitin aseiye. ‘Bongnou natohji hilthem loulai bang in, nang in keima nei sudihtai. Nang in keima neinung puikit in, neisempha kit tai. Ajeh chu nangma Pakai ka-Pathen nahi, ati.
I have indeed heard Ephraim bemoaning himself, “Thou hast chastised me, and I was chastised, as an untamed calf; cause me to return, and I will return; for thou art the Lord my God.
19 Ijeh inem itile, keiman Pathen kanungsun nung in, kalung kakhel kit in; keile kei kaki chume. Ajeh chu, kaneo vapat kana bolse ho jal'in, ka kisulungdong in, kajahachai.
Surely after my returning, I repent; and after I am made conscious [by punishment], I smite upon my thigh: I am ashamed, yea, I am confounded, because I bear the disgrace of my youth.”
20 Israel chu kacha deitah hilou ham? Tin Pakai in aseiye. Keiman achung’a talen kamatsah jing vang'in, keiman ama kangailu jing’e. Hijeh chun, kalung in ama bou angai’in, chuleh ama chung’a hepi na kanei jing’e, ati.
Is not Ephraim a dear son unto me? or a child that I dandle? for whenever I speak of him, I do earnestly remember him again: therefore are my inward parts moved for him; I will surely have mercy upon him, saith the Lord.
21 Nangman nalampi melchihna kisim inlang, chuleh nalampi’a lamhil khom ho jong tung in. Na lampi chu phaten ki melchih inlang, hiche’a chun hung kinung kit in, Vo Israel, nungah theng. Nakhopi’a hung kile kit in.
Set thyself up waymarks, place thyself pillars; direct thy heart toward the highway, the way which thou didst go: return, O virgin of Israel, return to these thy cities.
22 Vo chanu kitah lou nu, itih chan nangma navathai ding ham? Pakai in gamsung’a thil thah khat asoh sah ding ahi. Israel in a Pathen chu akolchah ding ahitai.
How long wilt thou roam about, O thou backsliding daughter? for the Lord hath created a new thing on the earth, The woman will go about [seeking for] the husband.
23 Hatchungnung Pakai, Israel Pathen in asei e, keiman asohchan nao gamtin’a kon’a, agamsung uva kahin le pui lut kit teng: Judah gamsung le akhopi jouseuva cheng hon, Jerusalem lhang theng adih ho chenna mun, Pakai in phattheiboh hen, ati diu ahi, ati.
Thus hath said the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel, Yet again shall they say this word in the land of Judah and in the cities thereof, when I will bring back again their captivity, —May the Lord bless thee, O habitation of righteousness, O holy mountain.
24 Chuteng khopi a cheng ho, lou bol mi ho chuleh kelngoi ching ho, abonchao va chamdel leh kipahtah’a cheng khom ding ahi tao ve.
And there shall dwell therein Judah, and in all his cities together, husbandmen, and they that move about with the flocks.
25 Ijeh in nem itileh, acholte tha ki dodohsah ing ting, chuleh genthei te kipana kapeh ding ahi, ati.
For I have satiated the weary soul, and every grieving soul have I gratified.
26 Chuin keima kathou doh in, kavet’a ahileh, ka emut chu katha aki dochom lhe in, lunglhei aume, ati diu ahi.
For this did I awake, and looked about, and my sleep was sweet unto me.
27 Pakai in aseiye “keiman Israel leh Judah gamsunga, mihem holeh gancha ho ka punjal sah ding, nikho chu ahunglhunge, ati.
Behold, days are coming, saith the Lord, when I will sow the house of Israel and the house of Judah with the seed of man; and with the seed of cattle.
28 Hiche nam mitehi, keiman ajungu kabo doh a, kana suh gim ahitaove. Keiman amahohi kalekhup in, ka sugam in, chuleh hahsatna kalhutkhum ahitai. Hijongleh keiman ama ho hi kaphulut kit ding chuleh kasahphat kitding ahiuve, kei Pakaiyin kasei ahi, ati.
And it shall come to pass, that just as I have watched over them, to pluck up, and to pull down, and to overthrow, and to destroy, and to do harm: so will I watch over them, to build up, and to plant, saith the Lord.
29 Hiche nikho chuleh, alah uva anakisei jing thuchih, “anu apa ten theithuh aneo vin achateu ha ajat loi” kiti chu koiman avela anungsei tahlou diu ahi.
In those days shall they not say any more, The fathers have eaten sour grapes, and the children's teeth are set on edge;
30 Ajeh chu mijouse chu ama ama chonset jeh a thiding: hichu, theithuh nekha chan jong chu ama ama ha jacheh ding ahi, ati.
But every one shall die for his own iniquity: every man that eateth the sour grapes—his teeth shall be set on edge.
31 Pakaiyin aseie hiche nikho chu ahung lhunge, ‘keiman Israel mite le Judah mite toh, kitepna thah khat kasemdoh nading chu, ati.
Behold, days are coming, saith the Lord, when I will make with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah, a new covenant;
32 Hiche kitepna thah chu, keiman Egypt gam’a kon’a apu pa teu kahin puidohlaiya, ama ho toh kanasemdoh kitepna tabongchu hilouding ahi. Ajeh chu keiman ama ho chu, innei pun a-innei pi alungset banga kana lungset vang'in, ama hon hichi kitepna chu ana suhkeh taovin ahi, tin Pakai in aseiye.
Not like the covenant that I made with their fathers on the day that I took hold of them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt; which my covenant they have broken, although I was become their husband, saith the Lord;
33 Amavang, Pakaiyin hitin aseiye, keiman Israel mite toh hichi kitepna thah hi kasemdoh nikho chuleh, keiman amaho chu asungil uva umden ding a thupih kanei ding, chuleh hichiho chu alungchang uvakajehlut pih ding ahi. Chutahleh amaho chu kamite hiuva, keima a-Pathen u kahi ding ahi, ati.
But this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel, after those days, saith the Lord, I place my law in their inward parts, and upon their heart will I write it; and I will be unto them for a God, and they shall be unto me for a people.
34 Chutengle, koiman aheng akom chuleh ainsung mi ho kom’a, “nanghon Pakai chu heovin” tia ahil khoh ngai talouding ahiuve. Ajeh chu, amitakip, aneova paat alen geia, seipeh ngai louva keima eihetsau hiding ahitai, chuleh keiman agitlounau ka ngaidama chuleh aitih ajong achonset nao ka geldoh kit tah lou ding ahiuve, tin Pakaiyin aseiye.
And they shall not teach any more every man his neighbor, and every man his brother, saying, Know the Lord; for they all shall know me, from the least of them even unto their greatest, saith the Lord; for I will forgive their iniquity, and their sin will I not remember any more.
35 Sunlai salvah ding a nisa koi pa, janlai a vahdinga lha le ahshi ho koipa, chuleh twikhanlen chohling’a kinonsah jing pa, Pakai ahi. Ama chu amin Hatchungnung Pakai ahi
Thus hath said the Lord, who bestoweth the sun for a light by day, the ordinances of the moon and of the stars for a light by night, who stirreth up the sea that its waves roar—The Lord of hosts is his name:
36 Pakai in aseiye, keiman kami Israel te kasuh gamhiel ding kati chu, leiset chunga thilsem ejakai ka suhmanghiel tabong hiding ahi, ati.
If these ordinances ever depart from before me, saith the Lord, then also shall the seed of Israel cease from being a nation before me during all time.
37 Pakaiyin hitin aseiye, “chunga van thamjol khu iti ham, akitetoh theipoi, chule leiset kibulphu ajong koima kholdoh jou ahipoi. Hijeh chun, keiman kapaidoh louding ahiuve,” ati.
Thus hath said the Lord, If the heavens can be measured above, and the foundations of the earth searched out beneath: then also will I reject all the seed of Israel, for all that they have done, saith the Lord.
38 Pakaiyin aseiye, “Vetan, Jerusalem khopi chu keidinga ahisah phat a chule Hananel insung’a pat khopi ninglang kelkot geija akisemphat nading nikho chu ahunglhung e,” ati.
Behold, days are coming, saith the Lord, when the city shall be built up to the Lord from the tower of Chananel unto the corner-gate.
39 Hilai mun’a hi, thilte najol hung kijam ding, Gareb thinglhang lah gei aphah ding, chule Goah gei a kijam paiding;
And the measuring-line shall yet again go forth opposite it over the hill Gareb, and shall take a turn to Go'ath.
40 Phaicham pumpia, thivuina mun holeh thilnen paina munho, chule niso lam’a sakol kelkot gei a lou ho jouse, Pakai ding a atheng hiding ahi. Hichu aitih a kisuse’a chule kisumang kitlouhel ding ahitai, ati.
And the whole valley of the dead bodies, and of the ashes, and all fields as far as the brook Kidron, unto the corner of the horse-gate toward the east, shall be holy unto the Lord: it shall not be plucked up, nor overthrown any more to eternity.
