< Jeremiah 25 >

1 Judah lengpa Josiah chapa Jehoiakim lengchan kal kumli lhin kum in, Pakaiyin Jeremiah heng’a, Judah mite jouse dingin thu ahinseiye. Hiche kum chu, Babylon lengpa Nebuchadnezzar lengchan kipat kum ahi.
The word that came to Jeremiah concerning all the people of Judah in the fourth year of Jehoiakim the son of Josiah king of Judah, that was the first year of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon;
2 Hichu Jeremiah themgao pan jong Judah mite leh Jerusalem mite jouse heng’a aseitai.
The which Jeremiah the prophet spake unto all the people of Judah, and to all the inhabitants of Jerusalem, saying,
3 Judah lengpa Amon chapa Josiah lengchan kal kum som le thum lhin’a pat tuni geiyin, kum somni le thum sungin, Pakaiyin kaheng a thu ahin seijing in ahi. Keiman hiche thuho chu, tanglou hel in nangho heng’a kaseison jing in, ahivangin nanghon ngaikhohna naneideh pouve.
From the thirteenth year of Josiah the son of Amon king of Judah, even unto this day, that is the three and twentieth year, the word of Yhwh hath come unto me, and I have spoken unto you, rising early and speaking; but ye have not hearkened.
4 Pakaiyin avel vel in, alhacha themgao ho naheng uva ahinsol jing in, ahivangin nanghon gelkhohna naneipouvin chule jah’a hetding jong nagel dehpouve.
And Yhwh hath sent unto you all his servants the prophets, rising early and sending them; but ye have not hearkened, nor inclined your ear to hear.
5 Pakai thusei chu hiche ahi, “Nanghon nalamlhahnau lamdih louva kon in hung kihei kit unlang, chule nathilse bol’u chu hindalhauvin. Chutahle nangho chu, keiman napu napateu kana pehsa gamsung’a kachensah ding nahiuve.
They said, Turn ye again now every one from his evil way, and from the evil of your doings, and dwell in the land that Yhwh hath given unto you and to your fathers for ever and ever:
6 Nanghon nakisemdoh u pathen chom chom ho houna leh chibai bolna-a pandauvin. Keima neiphin lunghang hih un, chutile keiman nangho kabolset loudiu nahiuve,’’ ati.
And go not after other gods to serve them, and to worship them, and provoke me not to anger with the works of your hands; and I will do you no hurt.
7 Pakaiyin hitin aseiye, “Nanghon kathusei nangaipouve. Nanghon nakisem’u milimdoi chu nahouvun, keima neiphin lunghang uvin, nachunguva chiding jumna leh hamsetna nakiloilut’u ahitai.
Yet ye have not hearkened unto me, saith Yhwh; that ye might provoke me to anger with the works of your hands to your own hurt.
8 Tun Pakai van Pathen chun hitin aseiye. Nanghon kathusei donlouva nakoitah jeh’un,
Therefore thus saith Yhwh of Armies; Because ye have not heard my words,
9 Keiman sahlam gam’a kon’a Babylon lengpa Nebuchadnezzar leh namtin vaipi kachop khomding. Keiman amaho chu hiche gamsung douding, agamsung mite leh akimvel’a chengho doudinga kahin sollut ding ahi. Chule keiman nangho aitih a dinga kasuh mang ding, chule namtin vetset leh kidah umtah’a kalha ding nahiuve.
Behold, I will send and take all the families of the north, saith Yhwh, and Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon, my servant, and will bring them against this land, and against the inhabitants thereof, and against all these nations round about, and will utterly destroy them, and make them an astonishment, and an hissing, and perpetual desolations.
10 Chule keiman nakipanau ogin leh nalasah’u ogin kasuh bei peh ding, jinei ding numei leh pasal kipa thanopna jong kasuh bei ding ahi. Chuteng nain uva sumhei-song gin thip ding, na thaomei jong vahlou ding ahitai.
Moreover I will take from them the voice of mirth, and the voice of gladness, the voice of the bridegroom, and the voice of the bride, the sound of the millstones, and the light of the candle.
11 Hiche gam pumpi hi, pannabei gamkeo sohding, chule kum somsagi sunga chu Israel leh akimvel a gamsung miten, Babylon lengpa ajenle diu ahi.
And this whole land shall be a desolation, and an astonishment; and these nations shall serve the king of Babylon seventy years.
12 Chujouteng, asohchannau kum som sagi ahung kichai nungle, keiman Babylon lengpa leh amite chu agitlounau jal’a, achunguva talen kamatsah ding ahi. Agamsung pumpiu chu, pannabei leh gam homkeova kakoipeh ding ahi, tin Pakaiyin aseiye.
And it shall come to pass, when seventy years are accomplished, that I will punish the king of Babylon, and that nation, saith Yhwh, for their iniquity, and the land of the Chaldeans, and will make it perpetual desolations.
13 Chule keiman amaho chunga tijat umtah kathutepsa jouse leh, Jeremiah aphondohsa achunguva chiding talen ho chu, aguilhung lou umlouva kalha ding ahi.
And I will bring upon that land all my words which I have pronounced against it, even all that is written in this book, which Jeremiah hath prophesied against all the nations.
14 Chule namtin vaipi nasatah hole leng lentah tah hon, Babylon te soh’a avuldiu; Hita chu amahon kamite abolgentheinau bang banga chu, achunguva kalethuh ding ahi, ati.
For many nations and great kings shall serve themselves of them also: and I will recompense them according to their deeds, and according to the works of their own hands.
15 Pakai Israel Pathen chun keima jah’a hitin aseiye. “Hiche kalung hanna khon hi, kakhut’a kon in kilah inlang, keiman nangma kasolna namtin vaipi ho chu donsah in.
For thus saith Yhwh God of Israel unto me; Take the wine cup of this fury at my hand, and cause all the nations, to whom I send thee, to drink it.
16 Amahon hichu don uvintin, chuteng keiman amaho douna thu kasei jal’a, amaho lonle louva chule ngoldoh gamding ahiuve,’’ati.
And they shall drink, and be moved, and be mad, because of the sword that I will send among them.
17 Hijeh chun keiman Pakai lunghanna khon chu kalan, Pakaiyin eisolna namtin vaipi ho chu abonchauvin kadonsahtai.
Then took I the cup at Yhwh's hand, and made all the nations to drink, unto whom Yhwh had sent me:
18 Keima Jerusalem leh Judah gamsunga khopi dang jousea kachen, lengho leh leng chapate jouse jong, hiche khon’a chun adonsoh tauve. Hiche nikho’a pat tunia hitia keohel’a, datmo umleuva, chule gaosap chang dingin,
To wit, Jerusalem, and the cities of Judah, and the kings thereof, and the princes thereof, to make them a desolation, an astonishment, an hissing, and a curse; as it is this day;
19 Keiman hiche khon chu, Egypt lengpa Pharaoh leh agamsung vaipote, chule asohte leh agamsung mite jouse,
Pharaoh king of Egypt, and his servants, and his princes, and all his people;
20 Chule agamsunguva gamchom mi chengho jouse, kapetan ahi. Keiman UZ gamsunga lengho jong, Philistine gamsunga lengho jong, chuleh Ashlkelon, Gaza. Ekron leh Ashdod khopi ho a umden ho jouse jong, kapetan ahi.
And all the mingled people, and all the kings of the land of Uz, and all the kings of the land of the Philistines, and Ashkelon, and Azzah, and Ekron, and the remnant of Ashdod,
21 Chuleh Edom mite, Moab mite, Ammon mite jong,
Edom, and Moab, and the children of Ammon,
22 Chuleh Tyre le Sidon lengho leh twikhanglen gal’a twipi panga chengho jong abonchauvin kapetai.
And all the kings of Tyre, and all the kings of Sidon, and the kings of the isles which are beyond the sea,
23 Chule keiman Dedan, Tema, Buz chuleh gam ningkoi lah’a chengho kapetai.
Dedan, and Tema, and Buz, and all that are in the utmost corners,
24 Chule Arabia lengte, nelphaiya chengho jong,
And all the kings of Arabia, and all the kings of the mingled people that dwell in the desert,
25 Zimrilengte Elam le Media lengte jong, keiman kapetai
And all the kings of Zimri, and all the kings of Elam, and all the kings of the Medes,
26 Chule keiman sahlam gamsung jousea, anai le agamla a um lengho, aban banin, chule leiset chunga lenggam jouse jong kapetai. Achainakeiyin, Babylon lengpa, amatah injong Pakai lunghanna khon chu adontai.
And all the kings of the north, far and near, one with another, and all the kingdoms of the world, which are upon the face of the earth: and the king of Sheshach shall drink after them.
27 Chuin Pakaiyin kajah’a hitin aseiye, “Tun amaho seipeh in, Pakai Hatchungnung Israel Pathen chun aseiye. Kalunghanna khon’a chun don uvin, donkhamset unlang lolha kit uvin. Kiseplhu uvin lang thou kit hih un, ajeh chu keiman nangho douna-a nalah uva chemjam kahin lhalut ding ahi,’’ natiding ahi.
Therefore thou shalt say unto them, Thus saith Yhwh of Armies, the God of Israel; Drink ye, and be drunken, and spue, and fall, and rise no more, because of the sword which I will send among you.
28 Ijemtia amahon hiche khon’a chu donding adauva ahileh; Nangman amaho jah’a chu, Pakai Hatchungnung in hitin aseiye, nanaghon hiche khon’a hi nadon teitei diu ahi.
And it shall be, if they refuse to take the cup at thine hand to drink, then shalt thou say unto them, Thus saith Yhwh of Armies; Ye shall certainly drink.
29 Ajeh chu, keiman kamin’a kikou Jerusalem khopi chu talen kamatsah pan ahitai. Nangho iti talen manlouva kalha ding nahiuvem Nangho talen manlouva naumlou heldiu ahi. Ajeh chu, keiman leiset chung cheng jouse douna-a gal kabolkhum ding ahi, tin Pakaiyin aseiye,’’ natiding ahi.
For, lo, I begin to bring evil on the city which is called by my name, and should ye be utterly unpunished? Ye shall not be unpunished: for I will call for a sword upon all the inhabitants of the earth, saith Yhwh of Armies.
30 Hijeh chun nangman amaho douna thu hichenghi, gaovinlang ajah uva naseipeh ding; “Pakai chu achenna van mun thenga kon’a hung kitum ding, lengpiga chil ho husa bang’a, hung husa hamlet lut ding ahi. Chule ama chu, leiset chunga cheng jouse douna-a hung kisen jah ding ahi.
Therefore prophesy thou against them all these words, and say unto them, Yhwh shall roar from on high, and utter his voice from his holy habitation; he shall mightily roar upon his habitation; he shall give a shout, as they that tread the grapes, against all the inhabitants of the earth.
31 Ama thutanna ogin chu leiset mong geiya kitol le le ding, ajeh chu Pakaiyin namtin vaipi chunga douna thu ahinlhut ding ahi. Aman leiset chunga namtin vaipi chunga thu atanding, chule migiloute jouse chemjam’a alousah ding ahi,’’tin Pakaiyin aseiye.
A noise shall come even to the ends of the earth; for Yhwh hath a controversy with the nations, he will plead with all flesh; he will give them that are wicked to the sword, saith Yhwh.
32 Pakai Hatchungnung in hitin aseiye, Ven, namtin vaipi chunga hamsetna khohtah, aban ban’a hunglhung ding. Chimpei hattah leiset mang langkhat apat hung doh ding ahi.
Thus saith Yhwh of Armies, Behold, evil shall go forth from nation to nation, and a great whirlwind shall be raised up from the coasts of the earth.
33 Hiche nikho chuleh, Pakaiyin mi athaho thilong chu leiset mang langkhat’a pat langkhat geiya kijam chap diu; Amaho chu akadiu leh alunghempi diu mi umlou ding, chule chom khom’a avei ding jong mi umlou ding ahi. Athilong u chu tollhanga chu kithethang’a monlha ding ahiuve.
And the slain of Yhwh shall be at that day from one end of the earth even unto the other end of the earth: they shall not be lamented, neither gathered, nor buried; they shall be dung upon the ground.
34 Vo, kelngoi ching phalou ho, nangho kap’uvin lang maovun! Chule nangho kelngoi hon lah’a apipu ho, tollhanga vutlah’a kile le leuvin! Nakithanadiu nikho ahung lhunge, nangma nalhuh ding leibel kehbai tah bang’a namanthah ding ahi.
Howl, ye shepherds, and cry; and wallow yourselves in the ashes, ye principal of the flock: for the days of your slaughter and of your dispersions are accomplished; and ye shall fall like a pleasant vessel.
35 Nangman kiselna ding mun nanei louding, chule jamdoh nading lampi namulou ding ahi.
And the shepherds shall have no way to flee, nor the principal of the flock to escape.
36 Ngaiyun, kelngoi chingho ka-gin khu, chule kelngoi honlah’a apipu ho pen-gin khu! Ajeh chu, Pakaiyin anehdiu hamhing jouse asuhmangpeh ahitai.
A voice of the cry of the shepherds, and an howling of the principal of the flock, shall be heard: for Yhwh hath spoiled their pasture.
37 Pakai lunghan khohse chun, lungmong tah’a achennau hamhing lah jouse chu, nelphai gamhomkeo asotai.
And the peaceable habitations are cut down because of the fierce anger of Yhwh.
38 Keipi in akiselna songko adalhah bangin, Aman amite adalhatai. Pakai lunghanna nasatah leh galmirte chemjam chun, gamsung chu nelgam homkeovin akoitai.
He hath forsaken his covert, as the lion: for their land is desolate because of the fierceness of the oppressor, and because of his fierce anger.
