< Jeremiah 22 >

1 Pakaiyin hitin aseiye, “Nangma Judah lengpa in-ah chesuh inlang, hiche thuhi gaseipeh tan,’’
This is what the LORD says: “Go down to the palace of the king of Judah and proclaim this message there,
2 Juda lengpa, David laltouna toupa, ngaiyin, chule namite leh nasohten jong ngaicheh’uhen.
saying, ‘Hear the word of the LORD, O king of Judah, who sits on the throne of David—you and your officials and your people who enter these gates.
3 Pakaiyin hitin aseiye, Thu adih in tanpih uvin chule thil adih in bol uvin. Athil kichompih ho chu panhu’uvin lang, amaho chu akibol ganthei nauva kon in huhdoh uvin. Chule nagitlounau chu dalhauvin. Gamchom mileh kholjin miho bolse hih un, chule chagate leh meithai ho chu pumhat in boldauvin. Chule themmona bei mite chunga thisan sodauvin.
This is what the LORD says: Administer justice and righteousness. Rescue the victim of robbery from the hand of his oppressor. Do no wrong or violence to the foreigner, the fatherless, or the widow. Do not shed innocent blood in this place.
4 Nanghon kathu nangaiyuleh, hiche mun’a hi, David laltouna-a, David son le pah ho toujing ding ahi. Chutia chu, lengho leh alhachac ho chule asohte, kangtalai leh sakol a tou uva, leng inpi kelkot a chu, lutle potle abol diu ahi.
For if you will indeed carry out these commands, then kings who sit on David’s throne will enter through the gates of this palace riding on chariots and horses—they and their officials and their people.
5 Amavang, nanghon kathusei hi donlouva nakoi vang ule, keima tah kamin’a kakitepna kasem ahi; Hiche mun hi ahomkeo leh keohel’a kalha ding ahi, tin Pakaiyin aseiye.
But if you do not obey these words, then I swear by Myself, declares the LORD, that this house will become a pile of rubble.’”
6 Pakaiyin, Judah leng inpi thua hitin aseiye, “Keiding in nangma hi, Gilead lhang leh Lebanon gam hoitah banga chule mihem chennalou gam kasosah ding nahi.
For this is what the LORD says concerning the house of the king of Judah: “You are like Gilead to Me, like the summit of Lebanon; but I will surely turn you into a desert, like cities that are uninhabited.
7 Keiman nangma sumang ding mi kakou ding, amahon ama cheh manchah ahin kichoi uva, nasuh gamdiu ahi. Amahon, Cedar thing hoilai ho aphuh uva, meiya ahalvam diu ahi.
I will appoint destroyers against you, each man with his weapons, and they will cut down the choicest of your cedars and throw them into the fire.
8 Gam chom chom’a kon hung kholjin namtin vaipin, hiche khopi hinjotpa jousen, ‘Ibol’a Pakaiyin hiche khopi lentah hi ahiti suhmang jeng hitam? tia amaho leh amaho kihoudiu ahi.
And many nations will pass by this city and ask one another, ‘Why has the LORD done such a thing to this great city?’
9 Chutengle, “Amahon Pakai a Pathen’u toh akitepnau asuhkeh jeh uva, kisumang ahiuve,’ ti ahetdoh diu ahi.
Then people will reply, ‘Because they have forsaken the covenant of the LORD their God and have worshiped and served other gods.’”
10 Lengpa din kadauvin, lunghempi dauvin, ama chu athi ahitai. Amavang, sohchanga kikaimangpa chu kapiuvin lang, apul douvun. Ajeh chu, aman agamsung ahung mukit louhel ding ahitai.
Do not weep for the dead king; do not mourn his loss. Weep bitterly for the one who is exiled, for he will never return to see his native land.
11 Hiche thuhi, apa Josiah khel’a lengchang Jehoahaz chungthu asei ahi. ama chu gal-hinga kikaimang ahin, agam a hung kilekit louding ahi.
For this is what the LORD says concerning Shallum son of Josiah, king of Judah, who succeeded his father Josiah but has gone forth from this place: “He will never return,
12 Ama chu migam’a thiden ding, agamsung anungmu louhel ding ahi.
but he will die in the place to which he was exiled; he will never see this land again.”
13 Pakaiyin hitin aseiye, ‘Ohe ada ahi, lamdih lou tah’a in kisahpa! Thudih louva inpi kehlen’a, aheng akom tohman pelouva goipa, chule pumhat a kulpi kisempa!
“Woe to him who builds his palace by unrighteousness, and his upper rooms without justice, who makes his countrymen serve without pay, and fails to pay their wages,
14 Hichepa hin, ‘Keiman inlentah khat kisah inge, indan tampi sem ing katin chule bangkot tampi Cedar thing in sem inge. Hichu rong sen in hoitah in loi ing kate,’’ ati.
who says, ‘I will build myself a great palace, with spacious upper rooms.’ So he cuts windows in it, panels it with cedar, and paints it with vermilion.
15 amavang, Cedar thinga leng inpi nomtah leh loupitah kisahdoh jeh’a, leng vaipoa kipang ahipoi. Napa Josiah chu neh le don aning lhing set in; ama chu thudihtah ahin, ijakai adih in abol’e. Hijeh chun, Pathen phattheiboh achange.
Does it make you a king to excel in cedar? Did not your father have food and drink? He administered justice and righteousness, and so it went well with him.
16 Aman vaicha gentheite apanpin, dihtah in vai ahom e. chule ama din imajouse aphatouvin akhangtouve. Hiche hi hilouham, keima toh kivopjing, kitichu,’’ tin Pakaiyin aseiye.
He took up the cause of the poor and needy, and so it went well with him. Is this not what it means to know Me?” declares the LORD.
17 Nang invang, namit teni leh nalungthim hi, nangma changseh ding le alamlouva phatchomna muna ding bouvin naming in; monabei nathat in, vaicha gentheite nabol gentheijin, chule hepina umlouvin vai nahom e.
“But your eyes and heart are set on nothing except your own dishonest gain, on shedding innocent blood, on practicing extortion and oppression.”
18 Hijeh chun, Josaih chapa Jehoiakim chung thuhi, Pakaiyin hitin aseiye. “Amapa hi, mihon athini le along a-oplou diu, vo sopipa vo golpa tiajong koima kaplou ding ahi. Amite jeng injong, vo Lengpa, kapu tia akapi umlou ding ahiuve.
Therefore this is what the LORD says concerning Jehoiakim son of Josiah king of Judah: “They will not mourn for him: ‘Alas, my brother! Alas, my sister!’ They will not mourn for him: ‘Alas, my master! Alas, his splendor!’
19 Athi long chu, sangan thisa kivui banga, Jerusalem khopia kon’a kikaidoh’a, kelkot polam’a gakivui ding ahi.
He will be buried like a donkey, dragged away and thrown outside the gates of Jerusalem.
20 Lebanon’a naloi ho din kapin, chule amaho ding chu Bashan mun’a othong leuvin gasamin. Ab’arim mun’a amaho chu gaholtan, chule amaho din kapin, amaho chu abon'un akisugamtauve.
Go up to Lebanon and cry out; raise your voice in Bashan; cry out from Abarim, for all your lovers have been crushed.
21 Nangma nakhantoupet in kana hil in, Ahinlah, nangman ngaiseh in naneipoi. Hitia hi, naneolaiya pat a kathusei ngailouva hung umpeh chu nahi.
I warned you when you were secure. You said, ‘I will not listen.’ This has been your way from youth, that you have not obeyed My voice.
22 Tua hi, khopi huiyin napankhompi jouse asumang ding chule naloi nagol ho abon’a sohchanga kikaimang ding ahiuve. Chutahle nagitlouna ho jal’a, nangma najah chading chule nakisuh lungdong ding ahi.
The wind will drive away all your shepherds, and your lovers will go into captivity. Then you will be ashamed and humiliated because of all your wickedness.
23 Lebanon gam Cedar thinga kisa leng inpi hoitah sung’a busah chu anom e. Hijongle, numei naosonat tobanga nathoh gimmna ding hesoh gentheina nachunga hung lhung ding ahi.
O inhabitant of Lebanon, nestled in the cedars, how you will groan when pangs of anguish come upon you, agony like a woman in labor.”
24 Pakaiyin aseiye, ‘Keima kahing jinge. Juda lengpa Jehoiakim chapa Jehoiachin, keiman nagma kadalhah ding nahi. Keidinga nangma hi kajitlam’a kibut khutjem nahivangin, kasutlhah ding nahi.
“As surely as I live,” declares the LORD, “even if you, Coniah son of Jehoiakim king of Judah, were a signet ring on My right hand, I would pull you off.
25 Nanghi, thadinga nahol namelmate khut’a, chule nakichat mama jeng Nebuchadnezzar leh asepaite khut’a kapehdoh nahitai.
In fact, I will hand you over to those you dread, who want to take your life—to Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon and to the Chaldeans.
26 Nang le nanu jong hiche gamsung’a kon’a kanodoh ding, chule nangma hiche gamsunga nathi lou ding, migam danga nathiden ding ahi.
I will hurl you and the mother who gave you birth into another land, where neither of you were born—and there you both will die.
27 Chule nagam’a nahung kilekit tah louding ahi.
You will never return to the land for which you long.”
28 Ibol’a Jehoiachin kitipa hi, belkehsa panna neilou banga um hitam? Ibol’a ama leh achate jouse mi gamdanga soh’a kinomang u hitam?
Is this man Coniah a despised and shattered pot, a jar that no one wants? Why are he and his descendants hurled out and cast into a land they do not know?
29 Vo leiset, vo gam leiset, Pakai thusei hi ngaiyun!
O land, land, land, hear the word of the LORD!
30 Pakaiyin hitin aseiye, Jehoiachin kitipa hi, son leh pah neilou, ahinkho sunga ima boldohlou mipa ahi, tin sunlut un. Ajeh chu achate atute khatcha beh jong, David laltouna touva, Judah gamsung a vaihom ding umlou ding ahi.
This is what the LORD says: “Enroll this man as childless, a man who will not prosper in his lifetime. None of his descendants will prosper to sit on the throne of David or to rule again in Judah.”
