Jeremiah 19
1 Pakaiyin kajah’a hitin aseiye, “Chenlang, leibel khat gachotan, chule mipi lah’a lamkai phabep leh thempu phabep kouvin, amaho chutoh kilhon inlang,
Thus saith the LORD, Go and get a potter’s earthen bottle, and take of the ancients of the people, and of the ancients of the priests;
2 bel dengho kelkot a chun gapotdoh in, Ben-hinnom phai geiyin cheuvin, chule amaho jah’a chun kathusei hohi seipeh in.
And go forth to the valley of the son of Hinnom, which is by the entrance of the east gate, and proclaim there the words that I shall tell thee,
3 “Pakai thusei hohi phaten ngaiyuvin, Vo Judah lengte leh Jerusalem mite. Pakai, Israel Pathen chun aseiye; Hiche mun’a hi tijat umtah hamsetna kalhunsah ding, ajapha chan tija behseh diu ahi.
And say, Hear ye the word of the LORD, O kings of Judah, and inhabitants of Jerusalem; Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Behold, I will bring evil upon this place, which whoever heareth, his ears shall tingle.
4 Ajeh iham itile, Israel in keima eidalhan, hiche mun hi kidah um leh chonset dimset mun ahisahtauve. Amahon tumasanga anahet khah louvu, apu apateuvin jong ahetlou, chule Judah lengten jong ahetlouvu, gamdang ho pathen lim semthu ho, hounan gim namtwi ahal uvin, hilaimun hi mona bei miho thisan kisonamun ahitai.
Because they have forsaken me, and have estranged this place, and have burned incense in it to other gods, whom neither they nor their fathers have known, nor the kings of Judah, and have filled this place with the blood of innocents;
5 Amahon Baal maicham asemdoh un, achapateu meiya govam’a kilhaina neidin, Baal maicham asem uve. Keiman vang hitobang bolna din thupeh kanei khapon chule kalunga jong kagel khapoi.
They have built also the high places of Baal, to burn their sons with fire for burnt offerings to Baal, which I commanded not, nor spoke it, neither came it into my mind:
6 Hijeh chun ngaiphauvin, hiche mun hi Topheth ahiloule Ben-hinnom phai kitita louva, kithana phai tia kihet nading nikho chu ahunglhung e, tin Pakaiyin aseiye.
Therefore, behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that this place shall no more be called Tophet, nor The valley of the son of Hinnom, but The valley of slaughter.
7 Ajeh chu keiman hilaimun’a hi, Judah leh Jerusalem mite thilgon ho abon’a kasuh cheh ding, amaho chu amelmateu chemjam’a kalousah soh keidiu ahi. Chule athilong u chu vachate leh gamsate vahna-a kanei ding ahi.
And I will make void the counsel of Judah and Jerusalem in this place; and I will cause them to fall by the sword before their enemies, and by the hands of them that seek their lives: and their dead bodies will I give to be food for the fowls of the heaven, and for the beasts of the earth.
8 keiman Jerusalem khopi hi kasuhchim’a, khogem’a kaumsah ding, koi hileh ajotpa jousen kidang asahdiu, tijalih leudiu ahi.
And I will make this city desolate, and an hissing; every one that passeth by it shall be astonished and hiss because of all its plagues.
9 Namelmateu vin Jerusalem alonkhum ding, neh leh chah abeisoh kahsea aumkim diu, genthei nasatah athohdiu ahi. Achaina le, mihon nehding aholmo uva, amaho le amaho kineto diu chule achateu geiya akithauva anehdiu ahi, ati.
And I will cause them to eat the flesh of their sons and the flesh of their daughters, and they shall eat every one the flesh of his friend in the siege and distress, with which their enemies, and they that seek their lives, shall distress them.
10 Chutah le nangman nalhonpiho mitmu changtah’a chu, nabel choh chu, navoh kehding,
Then shalt thou break the bottle in the sight of the men that go with thee,
11 Chule ajah uva nasei ding, thaneipen Pakaiyin hitin aseiye: Keiman hiche leibel kivoh keh banga hi, Judah le Jerusalem mi, t kavohjal ding, avel’a sempha kit theilou hel hiding ahi. Amahon mithi ho chu Topheth mungeiya ahinven diu, ajeh chu mundang a kivuina chu kabol ding ahi, ati.
And shalt say to them, Thus saith the LORD of hosts; Even so will I break this people and this city, as one breaketh a potter’s vessel, that cannot be made whole again: and they shall bury them in Tophet, till there be no place to bury.
Thus will I do to this place, saith the LORD, and to its inhabitants, and even make this city as Tophet:
13 Jerusalem a inho leh Judah lengte inpiho jouse, chule inchungvum’a ahsie nahounauva gim namtwi nahalnau, chule dontheiya kilhaina thilto kisunkhum doilim pathen ho nahounau, abon’a chu Topheth mun banga bohsoh hel ahitauve,’’ ati.
And the houses of Jerusalem, and the houses of the kings of Judah, shall be defiled as the place of Tophet, because of all the houses upon whose roofs they have burned incense to all the host of heaven, and have poured out drink offerings to other gods.
14 Hichun Jeremiah chu, Pakaiyin athu phongjal dinga asolna Topheth mun chu adalhan akile kittai. Chuin ama houin ah alut in, mipite jah’a thu aseitai.
Then came Jeremiah from Tophet, where the LORD had sent him to prophesy; and he stood in the court of the LORD’S house; and said to all the people,
15 Ngaiyun, thaneipen Pakai, Israel Pathen chun hitin aseye: Keiman hiche khopi leh avel a khoneo ho jouse douna kana phondohsa banga, hamsetna nasatah achunguva kalhunsah ding ahi. Ajeh chu, nanghon nangong navaiput leuvin, kathusei donlouvin nakoi uve, ati.
Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Behold, I will bring upon this city and upon all her towns all the evil that I have pronounced against it, because they have hardened their necks, that they might not hear my words.
