< Jeremiah 12 >
1 Vo Pakai, adih’a thutan nangbou nahi. Hijeh chun, nakom’a kakiphinna thu sei-inge. Ipi dinga migiloute khangtou tou’uva, Chule joule nal a thilbol ho phatou touvu ham?
You are righteous, LORD, when I contend with you; yet I would like to plead a case with you. Why does the way of the wicked prosper? Why are they all at ease who deal very treacherously?
2 Nangin amaho naphut det in; Hijeh chun amahon ajung akho det un, chule akhang theiuve. Akam seh in namin apha jingun; Ahivangin, alungthim u nang’a konin agamla lheh e.
You have planted them. Yes, they have taken root. They grow. Yes, they produce fruit. You are near in their mouth, and far from their heart.
3 Hijongle, Vo Pakai nangman kei lungthim nahet ahi. Nangman keima neimuchen in, ka lunggel jong nei patep e. Amaho vang thadinga kikai kelngoi bang in, abonchauvin kaimang soh in, thadin gotsa koidoh jeng in.
But you, LORD, know me. You see me, and test my heart toward you. Pull them out like sheep for the slaughter, and prepare them for the day of slaughter.
4 Itihchan gamsung hi lunghem’a umding ham? Gamsung mite gitlou jeh in, gamsa ho leh vachate jong gamsunga kon in akithehmang sohtauve. Amahon hiti jong hin aseiuve, “Eihon ipi boljong leuhen, Pakaiyin bon muphalou” atiuve.
How long will the land mourn, and the herbs of the whole country wither? Because of the wickedness of those who dwell therein, the animals and birds are consumed; because they said, “He won’t see our latter end.”
5 Nangma mitoh nakenga nakilheitet’a bon nachol leh, nangman sakol iti na lheitet jou ding ham? Chule nangma chu, gamnom lai le a-ong laiya nakiselhuh theileh, Jordan vadung panga, gamnoiya iti nadin jou ding ham?
“If you have run with the footmen, and they have wearied you, then how can you contend with horses? Though in a land of peace you are secure, yet how will you do in the pride of the Jordan?
6 Ajeh chu nasopite leh nang insung mite jong nangma douva pang ahiuve. Amahon nang dounan kiphinna thu aseiyun, thading jeng injong agel uve. Hijeh chun, amahon thu ngeitah tah seijongleu, tahsan hih beh in.
For even your brothers, and the house of your father, even they have dealt treacherously with you! Even they have cried aloud after you! Don’t believe them, though they speak beautiful words to you.
7 Keiman ka goulo ding kamite ka dalhah’a, amaho chu donlouva kakoi ahitai. Keiman ka-ittah kamite chu, amelmateu khut a kapehdoh ahitai.
“I have forsaken my house. I have cast off my heritage. I have given the dearly beloved of my soul into the hand of her enemies.
8 Kalhentum kamiten eidouvun, gammang noiya keipi kisen bangin eikisenkhum’un: Hijeh chun, amahohi keiman kahot lheh jeng e.
My heritage has become to me as a lion in the forest. She has uttered her voice against me. Therefore I have hated her.
9 Ka lhentum kamiten, muthong ho umchan athouve. Ahinla muthonghon amaho joh aumkimvel’u ahitai. Amaho negam dingle nengim dingin gamsa ho gakoukhomun.
Is my heritage to me as a speckled bird of prey? Are the birds of prey against her all around? Go, assemble all the animals of the field. Bring them to devour.
10 Gamdang vaipohon ka lengpilei asuseuvin, kaloulai jouse jong akeng in achilthang tauve. Ka-ittah ka gamsung abon'in gamkeo leh nelgam asosahtauvin ahi.
Many shepherds have destroyed my vineyard. They have trodden my portion under foot. They have made my pleasant portion a desolate wilderness.
11 Amahon gamsung pumpi ahomkeo leh pannabeiyin akoiyun, ahomkeova aumphat un, akanau ogin kajan, ahinla koiman gelkhoh in aneipoi.
They have made it a desolation. It mourns to me, being desolate. The whole land is made desolate, because no one cares.
12 Molchung achailah ho jousea, amaho sumang ding galmi ho ahung kitollut tauve. Pakai chemjam chun, leiset ninglang khat a pat a langkhat geiya, namtin vaipi chu a bahgamtai. Koimacha asohcha umlou ding ahi.
Destroyers have come on all the bare heights in the wilderness; for the sword of the LORD devours from the one end of the land even to the other end of the land. No flesh has peace.
13 Kamiten suhlou chang atu-uvin, ahinlah ling le khao jeng a-atkhomui. Amahon choltah in na atongun, ahivangin imacha aphatchompi pouve. Amahon alho-lhun u ajumpi dingu, ajeh chu, Pakai lungsatna chu achung'uva chu ahitai.
They have sown wheat, and have reaped thorns. They have exhausted themselves, and profit nothing. You will be ashamed of your fruits, because of the LORD’s fierce anger.”
14 Pakaiyin hitin aseiye, “Keiman kami Israelte kapehsa gamsung sumanga, Israel heng le kom, nam gilou ho chu, gamsung’a kon’a thingphung ajung geiuva kibotdoh bang’a kabodoh ding ahi. Chuleh alah uva kon’a keiman Judah chu kaloidoh ding ahi.
The LORD says, “Concerning all my evil neighbors, who touch the inheritance which I have caused my people Israel to inherit: Behold, I will pluck them up from off their land, and will pluck up the house of Judah from among them.
15 Chutahle keiman amaho chunga lainatna kaneikit ding, Amitakip chu ama ama goulo mun leh ama ama gamsung cheh’a kahin le puilut kitding ahi.
It will happen that after I have plucked them up, I will return and have compassion on them. I will bring them again, every man to his heritage, and every man to his land.
16 Chule hitiding ahi, hiche mite hin, kamite jal’a kihilna thah aneiyuva, keima minpan’a ‘Hingjing Pakaiyin’ tia akihahsel theiuva, keima eihouvu leh, amahon kamite lah’a mun aneithei dingu chule khangtou diu ahi.
It will happen, if they will diligently learn the ways of my people, to swear by my name, ‘As the LORD lives;’ even as they taught my people to swear by Baal, then they will be built up in the middle of my people.
17 Amavang koihileh, nam khattouvin ka thusei angailouleh, amaho chu thingphung kibodoh banga kabodoh a, kasuhmang ding ahi, kei Pakaiyin kasei ahi,” ati.
But if they will not hear, then I will pluck up that nation, plucking up and destroying it,” says the LORD.
