< Jeremiah 11 >

1 Pakaiya konin Jeremiah henga thu ahunglhungin, hitin aseiye.
This is the Lord's message that came to Jeremiah:
2 “Judah gam leh Jerusalem’a chengho jah’a, amaho toh kitepna umsa, thu hicheng hi, gaseipeh tan.
Listen to the terms of this agreement, and then repeat them to the people of Judah and Jerusalem.
3 Amaho jah’a, Pakai Israel Pathen chun, hitin aseiye. Koi hijongle, hiche kitepnasa thu ngailouva chonho chu gaosap changhen.
Tell them this is what the Lord, the God of Israel, says: You are cursed if you don't obey the terms of this agreement.
4 Ajeh chu, keiman napu napateu, Egypt gam thih meilhumpi tobang sunga kon’a kahinpuidoh’a, kathupeh umsa chu, “Nanghon ka ogin nangaiyuva, kathupeh umsa chu abon’a naboljinguleh, nangho kamite nahiuva chule keima na Pathen’u kahi ding ahi, “ati.
I made this agreement with your forefathers when I led them out of Egypt, out of the iron-making furnace, saying, “Obey me, and do everything I order you to do, and you will be my people, and I will be your God.”
5 Chuleh keiman hiche hi kasei ahi, “keiman napu napateu kom’a kakitepnasa, tunia nachennau, khoiju leh bongnoi lonna gam, kapeh ding kati chu, kaguilhunsah ding ahi,” ati. Hichun, keiman ka donbut in, O Pakai, hitei tei hen, amen! kati.
I did this to fulfill what I promised to your forefathers—to give them a land flowing with milk and honey, as it still is today. Amen, Lord, I answered.
6 Chuin Pakaiyin aseikittai, “Thu hicheng hi, Jerusalem khopi sunga gasam phonglen; Chuleh gamsung pumpia khopi tincheng’a chen, gaseiphong in. Hichu, “kitepnasa thuho ngaiyun lang, boldinga angaicha jouse boldoh soh keiyun.
Then the Lord told me, Go and publicly announce this whole message in the towns of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem, saying: Pay attention the terms of this agreement and do what they say.
7 Ijeh inem itileh, keiman napu napateu chu, Egypt gam’a kon’a kahinpuidoh’a pat’a, “kathu ngaiyuvin,” tia kanagihsa ahin, tuni geiya avel avel’a kagih jing ahi.
From the time I led your forefathers out of Egypt until now, I seriously warned them time and again, saying, “Do what I tell you!”
8 Ahivangin, napu napateu chun, kathusei kagihna ho ngaisah in aneipouve. Amitakip louchal tah in aum’un, ama cheh lungthim gitlouna dimset in akiheimang gamtauve. Hijeh chun, kathupeh ngailou ho chunga, kitepna umsa gaosapna chu, keiman achunguva kahin pohlut pih ahitai, ati.
But they refused to obey, they wouldn't listen. Instead each of them followed their own stubborn and evil thinking. I had ordered them to follow the agreement, but they didn't do so. So I brought down on them all the curses contained in the agreement.
9 Chuin Pakaiyin kajah’a thu ahinsei kit in, “Judah leh Jerualem miten, keima eidouvui ati.
The Lord told me, There is a rebellion happening among the people of Judah and those living in Jerusalem.
10 Kathusei jouse donlouva anakoiya, apu apateu chonsetna lampia, amaho jong akiheilut sohtauve. Amahon kathusei ngailouvin, semthu Pathen chom chom ahouvun, apu apateu toh kitepna kanasem chu asukehtauvin ahi.
They have gone back to the sins of their forefathers who refused to obey what I said. They have gone to worship other gods. The people of Israel and Judah have broken the agreement I made with their forefathers.
11 Hijeh chun, Pakiyin hitin aseiye, “Keiman ajamdoh umlou hel’a achunguva hamsetna nasatah kalhut khumdiu ahi. Amaho kappum in kahenga hungtao jongleu, kangaipeh lou hel ding ahi,”ati.
So this is what the Lord says: I'm going to bring upon them a disaster they won't be able to escape. They will cry out to me for help, but I won't listen to them.
12 Chutengle, Judah leh Jerusalem miten gimnamtwi ahal uva ahouvu, semthu Pathen ho kom’a gatao diu; Ahivanga hicheho chun agentheipet uva chu ahuhdoh thei lou diu ahi.
Then the people in the towns of Judah and Jerusalem will go and call out for help to the gods they've been burning incense to, but these gods won't be able to do anything to save them in their time of trouble.
13 Vo Judah mite, nanghon nakhopi jouseu dimset in semthu Pathen tampi nakoitauve. Nanghon jumna maicham, Baal houna-a gimnamtwi halna maicham-phung tampi Jerusalem khopi sunga nasemtauve.
You certainly have as many gods as you have towns, Judah! You have built shameful altars, altars to burn incense to Baal. You have as many altars as the streets of Jerusalem.
14 Vo Jeremiah, hiche mite din taoda tan. Amaho ding in jong kap hih in. Keiman amahohi, akanau ogin jong kangaipih louhel ding ahi.
Jeremiah, don't pray for these people. Don't cry for help or offer a prayer on their behalf, because I won't be listening when they cry out to me in the time of their trouble.
15 Kadeipen kamite hijongleu, aphalou thet umtah thil tampi abolnunguva, ka-insunga hunglut thei nading, ipi thuneina aneidiu ham? Akihahsel uva chule kilhaina gantha abol’u chun, amanthahna dinguva kon’a ahuhdoh thei diu hinam? Ajeh chu, amahon athilse bol’u chu kithang-at nan anei uvin ahi.
What right do the people I love have to be in my Temple when they've done so many evil things? Do you think the meat of sacrifices will save you? When disaster strikes will you be happy?
16 Ven, amahohi khatvei keiman, Olive thingphung engsel vetnom umtah, chuleh aga phatah hoisel ahi, kanati. Tunvang, melmate lungsatna meikong chun ahal uva, akahvam heldiuvin kaumsahtai.
At one time the Lord said you were a healthy olive tree, full of leaves and bearing beautiful fruit. But with a great noise he will set fire to it, destroying its branches.
17 Keima thaneipen Pakaiyin, hiche mite hi, Olive banga kanaphu ahin, tua suhmang dinga kano ahitai. Ajeh chu, Israel le Judah miten eiphin lunghang uvin, Baal Pathen henga gimnamtwi ahaluvin, chonset aboltauvin ahi.
I, the Lord Almighty, was the one who planted you, but I have announced you will be destroyed because of the evil that the people of Israel and Judah have committed, making me angry by burning incense to Baal.
18 Chuin Pakaiyin kahenga thu aseiyin, kamelmaten keima thading’a eigot’u chu, eihetsah tai.
The Lord told me about it, so I knew. Then he showed me what they were actually doing.
19 Keima akithana ding mun jon’a kikai kelngoi ngoitah tobang kanahin; Keima thana dinga thilgon aneiyu jong kana hepoi. Amahon, hiche mipa hi thatdoh u hitin, athusei doh hojong sumang soh’u hite. Amahi tupet in phuhlhu doh’u hitin, amin jong kigeldoh kitlou ding ahi, “atiuve.
I was like a trusting little lamb being led away to be slaughtered. I didn't know that they had been plotting against me. They said, “Let's destroy the tree along with everything it produces. Let's kill him so no one will even remember his name.”
20 Vo thaneipen Pakai, dihtah’a thutan nangbou nahi. Chule nangman mihem lungthim mihem lungthim le lunggil thuhtah jong nakhol doh jin ahi. Hiche mite chunga naphulahna neimusah in; Ajeh chu keiman kachungthu hi nang khut’a kapeh ahitai.
I appeal to you, Lord Almighty, you who judge rightly and examine peoples thoughts and feelings, let me see how you punish them, because I've left my case in your hands.
21 Pakaiyin, keima thadinga eiholho, Anathoth mite chung chang hitin aseiye. Amahon, “pakai min in gaothu seidan, nangah loule kathadiu nahi,” atiuve.
So this is what the Lord says about the people of Anathoth who are trying to kill you, telling you, “Don't prophesy in the name of the Lord, or we'll kill you.”
22 Chuin thaneipen Pakaiyin hitin aseiye, “Keiman achunguva talen nasatah kamatsah diu: A gollhang hou gal’a thigam diu, chule achapateu leh achanuteu kelthoh’a thidiu ahi.
This is the reply of the Lord Almighty: I will punish them. Their young men will killed by the sword, their sons and daughters will be killed by famine.
23 Hijeh’a chu, lungthim phalou gongho Anathoth mite, khat cha ahingdoh umlou diu ahi. Ajeh chu, keiman achunguva hamsetna nasatah kahin lhunsah ding ahi, ati.
There won't be anyone left because I will bring disaster on the people of Anathoth at the time when they're punished.
