< Isaiah 59 >
1 Ngaijin! Pakai ban chu nangma huhhing dinga tha lhom’a ahipon, nakouna aw jong chu ajah louna dinga chutia na ngong’a ahidehpoi.
Behold, the LORD’s hand is not shortened, that it can’t save; nor his ear dull, that it can’t hear.
2 Na chonsetna ho’u hin nangho toh Pathen kikah akhen ahi. Na chonset jeh’u chun, aman amai aheimang leh na taonau angailou ahitai.
But your iniquities have separated you and your God, and your sins have hidden his face from you, so that he will not hear.
3 Na khut hou chu mithana khut ahi bouvin, chule na khut jung hou namset chu chonset bolna ahi. Na kam’uva hungpot jong jouseina dim ahin, chule nakam paovu jong manlou thu ngensen potna ahi.
For your hands are defiled with blood, and your fingers with iniquity. Your lips have spoken lies. Your tongue mutters wickedness.
4 Koima dat neilouva thutah sei le lung theng gelkhoh aumpoi. Miho chung thu kitanna mun jong jou thuho bou aseiju ahi. Amahon thilse ageluvin, chonset ahin hing doh’uve.
No one sues in righteousness, and no one pleads in truth. They trust in vanity and speak lies. They conceive mischief and give birth to iniquity.
5 Ama hon thina thei gulse-tui chu aop keo’uvin chule mom pan asa thei’uve. Hiche pan sunga lhalut chan chu thi ding chule amaho gahnai chan chu hamsetna’a lut thei ahi.
They hatch adders’ eggs and weave the spider’s web. He who eats of their eggs dies; and that which is crushed breaks out into a viper.
6 Apan semu chu ponsil’a akimang theipon, chule athilbol’u jong imacha phatchomna tahbeh ahipoi. Achonna jouseu chonset adimset nin, chule minosop kiti hi amihi nau kihetna ahi.
Their webs won’t become garments. They won’t cover themselves with their works. Their works are works of iniquity, and acts of violence are in their hands.
7 Akeng phangu jong thilse bolna dingin alhaitho jengun, Chule amaho mithana dingin akal jangun ahi. Chonset bol ding bou agel gelun ahi. Lungkhamna le manthahna’in amaho ajui jinguve.
Their feet run to evil, and they hurry to shed innocent blood. Their thoughts are thoughts of iniquity. Desolation and destruction are in their paths.
8 Cham-lungmonna hoilaija kimu ding ahi ahepouvin, thil adih’abol le apha bol di jong ahetapouve.
They don’t know the way of peace; and there is no justice in their ways. They have made crooked paths for themselves; whoever goes in them doesn’t know peace.
9 Hiti chun eimaho lah’a thu adih’a tan kiti hi aum theipon, chule hinkho adih’a man hi ipi ahi ihepouve. Vah iveuvin, hinla muthim bou imuve. Van dangvah iveuvin, hinla athim’a ium’uve.
Therefore justice is far from us, and righteousness doesn’t overtake us. We look for light, but see darkness; for brightness, but we walk in obscurity.
10 Eiho mitcho bangin banga ikimai’uvin, mit neilou ho tobang'in ilam piu idon jot’uve. Sun nisa emlai jin jong muthimpet tobang'in eiho ikipal’uvin ahi. Mihing gam'a iumlai’un jong athisa tobangbep ihiuve.
We grope for the wall like the blind. Yes, we grope as those who have no eyes. We stumble at noon as if it were twilight. Among those who are strong, we are like dead men.
11 Eiho vompi gilkel tobang'in ikitum’uvin, chule lunghel na’a dim vakhu bangin imao’uve. Thu adih’a tan igaldot’uvin, hinla ahung hih beh in; eipan hu ding igaldot’un, hinla hichu eihoa konin gamla tah ahunghi.
We all roar like bears and moan sadly like doves. We look for justice, but there is none, for salvation, but it is far off from us.
12 Ajeh iham itileh ichonset nahou Pathen masanga akisethop jengin chule hichun eiho eidouna akiphongdoh’in ahi. Henge, itobanga chonset bol ihiu ikihet’uve.
For our transgressions are multiplied before you, and our sins testify against us; for our transgressions are with us, and as for our iniquities, we know them:
13 Eihon Pakai douna le aseilep ma ipan’u ikihetdoh uvin ahi. Eihon I Pathen’u nungsuna ihitauve. Eihon ichan geija kilomlou tah le kidouna lung pua ihiuvem ti chingthei tah’a duha thuh tah’a jou jeng seija ihiu ikihet’uve.
transgressing and denying the LORD, and turning away from following our God, speaking oppression and revolt, conceiving and uttering from the heart words of falsehood.
14 Ithutan nau munna chondihna idoudal’un, chule thu adih’a tanna akimu tapoi. Thutah chu lam lenna akiboso in, lungthenna jong dan kalval akihisah tai.
Justice is turned away backward, and righteousness stands far away; for truth has fallen in the street, and uprightness can’t enter.
15 Ahinai, thutah chu achemangin, chule aphalou hotbol chan chu akinokhum khumtai. Pakaiyin ahinven, thu adih’a kitanlou chu alung himo lheh jenge.
Yes, truth is lacking; and he who departs from evil makes himself a prey. The LORD saw it, and it displeased him that there was no justice.
16 Mi khatbeh’in jong akibolsepa pan hu dinga Ama’n amudoh joulou chu adatmo lheh jenge. Hitia hi akibolse chu panpi ding le aban thahatna huhdoh dinga Amatah hung kalsonga ahitai.
He saw that there was no man, and wondered that there was no intercessor. Therefore his own arm brought salvation to him; and his righteousness sustained him.
17 Amahin chonphatna chu atahsa galmanchah dinga omphoa aneija chule huhhingna lukhuh chu alua akikhuh ahije. Amatah melma phuba lahna galvonna akivonin, chule Pathen khotona chu sangkholchol ‘in Amatah akivontai.
He put on righteousness as a breastplate, and a helmet of salvation on his head. He put on garments of vengeance for clothing, and was clad with zeal as a mantle.
18 Ama hin amelmate chu athilse abolnau lethuh intin, Alunghanna chu adougal te chunga hung chu ding ahi. Amaho chu leiset kolmong geija lethuhna apeh ding ahi.
According to their deeds, he will repay as appropriate: wrath to his adversaries, recompense to his enemies. He will repay the islands their due.
19 Lhumlam gam'a miho chun Pakai min chu ajabol dingu, solama Ama choi’atna apeh dingu ahi. Ajeh iham itileh Ama twisoh lai twi kinong tobanga Pakaijin ahu ahin semdoh ding ahi.
So they will fear the LORD’s name from the west, and his glory from the rising of the sun; for he will come as a rushing stream, which the LORD’s breath drives.
20 Lhatdampu chu Jerusalem’a hung ding Israel sunga achonset nauva konna lungheiho chu anungchoh doh ding ahije, tin Pakaiyin aseije.
“A Redeemer will come to Zion, and to those who turn from disobedience in Jacob,” says the LORD.
21 Chule Pakaiyin hiche hi kakitepna hiding ahi:” Ka Lhagaovin amaho dalha tapontin, chule chuche thuho kapehlou beh hija ahi. Hiche thuho chu nangma kamsungle na chapa teu kamsung'a chule na tuteu kamsung'a a’itih’a umjing ding ahi, tin Keima Pakai kitipa hin kaphondoh ahitai.
“As for me, this is my covenant with them,” says the LORD. “My Spirit who is on you, and my words which I have put in your mouth shall not depart out of your mouth, nor out of the mouth of your offspring, nor out of the mouth of your offspring’s offspring,” says the LORD, “from now on and forever.”
