< Isaiah 57 >

1 Mipha ho hinkho abeiyin; Pathen ngaisah aphat lhing louvin athi jiuve. Hinla koiman ipi jeh’ ham ti gelkhoh’a ahilouleh datmoa aumpouve. Ahivangin, koiman phat phalou lhung ding a kona Pathen’in alah uhinte, ti gel’a koima aumpoi.
The righteous perish, but no one considers it, and the people of covenant faithfulness are gathered away, but no one understands that the righteous is gathered away from the evil.
2 Pathen ngaisahna lampi a cheho chu hung thi jonguleh lungmonga choldo ding ahiuve.
He enters into peace; they rest in their beds, those who walk in their uprightness.
3 Hinla nangho doichoi ho chate, jon bol pasal ho le numei kijoh chilhah ho- hikoma hin hung khom’uvin!
But come here, you sons of the sorceress, children of the adulterer and the woman who has prostituted herself.
4 Koi douna’a kigoa nahiuva? Koi douna’a namai’u najep pol’uva chule kamka’a lei lhadoh’a nahiu vem? Nangho chonset bol ho chate le jousei hat chate nahiu ve!
Whom are you merrily mocking? Against whom are you opening the mouth and sticking out the tongue? Are you not children of rebellion, children of deceit?
5 Nanghon khongnang phungho le thingphung hing bultina nalim -semthu hou chu nagel khoh lheh’uve. Nanghon phaicham dung hoa songpia konna kitandoh ho chunga nachateu chu kilhainan natoh doh’uvin ahi. Keima kahitapon, amaho joh chu nagou chin’u ahitai. Hiche nabol’hou jouse hin keima hi kipah inte nei tiu ham?
You heat yourselves up sleeping together under the oaks, under every green tree, you who kill your children in the dry riverbeds, under the rocky overhangs.
6 Phaicham mun hoa song jolsel ho chu na-pathen ‘u ahin, amaho chu nanghon Pathen houva nahou’uva kikatdohna don ding thilto nalhei lhauvin chule anneh thiltoho natohdoh’uvin ahi. Amaho chu na gouchan diu ahitai, Keima kahitapoi. Hiche nabol ho’u hin Keima hi kipah inte neitiu hija ham?
Among the smooth things of the river valley are the things that have been assigned to you. They are the object of your devotion. You pour out your drink offering to them and raise up a grain offering. In these things should I take pleasure?
7 Nanghon molsang tinna jon-thanhoina nabol tauve. Chuche mun hoa chun nanghon milim nahou’uvin, Keima dinga kitahna bei nahiu ahitai.
You prepared your bed on a high mountain; you also went up there to offer sacrifices.
8 Nanghon lim-semthu houho melchihnaho chu na kotkhom ho’uva le na kotnung’uva natah’uvin, Keima nei dalhauvin, hiche pathenna neidia thet umtah ho chu nakichoijun, lupna nakaldoh piuvin ahi. Nanghon sagoh-keuva um semthu-milim chu lung ngaichatnin naveuvin, nangho tah nakipedoh jenguve.
Behind the door and the doorposts you set up your symbols; you deserted me, made yourselves naked, and went up; you made your bed wide. You made a covenant with them; you loved their beds; you saw their private parts.
9 Nanghon Olive thao chu semthu-pathen (Molech-pathen)’a chun thao namtui pumin napedohtauve. Nangman naphahna thei chana, vannoi mithigam geijin, Pathen thah ngailut ding hollin nakalsongin ahi. (Sheol h7585)
You went to Molech with oil; you multiplied perfumes. You send your ambassadors far away; you went down to Sheol. (Sheol h7585)
10 Na thilholna’a na cholta lheh’in, hinla na ngahnompoi. Ngaichat chun thahatna thah napen, na lhadah hihlaije.
You were tired from your long journey, but you never said, “It is hopeless.” You found life in your hand; therefore you did not weaken.
11 Hiche lim-kisemthu hohi nakichat ham? Amaho hin natijat sah em? Hiche jeh’a hi nangman keima jouva neibol’a chule nei suhmil’a chule ka thuseiho nasuhmil gam hitam? Keima kathipsot behseh tah jeh’a hi nei ginlou hitam?
“Whom are you worried about? Whom do you fear so much that has caused you to act so deceitfully, so much that you would not remember me or think about me? Because I was silent for so long, you are no longer afraid of me.
12 Tua hi keiman thilpha bol’a na kigelnaho hi kasosal ding nahitai. Hiho chun na panpi lou dingu ahije.
I will proclaim all your righteous acts and tell all that you have done, but they will not help you.
13 Panpi na ngaichatna nakou teng hiche limsemthu- pathen ho chun na panpiu vem veuhite. Ipi itidan'a huisi hung nung chun amaho amutlhuh ahidem! Achunguva nahaigin ajah’ujongleh aginna lhu jengu hin tem! Hinla koi hijongleh eitahsan mi chun gam chu aloding chule Ka lhangtheng chu aloding ahi.
When you cry out, let your collection of idols rescue you. Instead the wind will carry them all away, a breath will carry them all away. Yet he who takes refuge in me will inherit the land and will take possession of my holy mountain.
14 Pathen’in, lamlen chu semphauvin, ati! Kamite chu asohchan nauva ahung kilekitna dinguvin lampia songpi ho le songho suthengun.
He will say, 'Build, build! Clear a way! Remove all the stumbling blocks from the path of my people!'”
15 Sangtah le achungnungpenpa, tonsotna hing jingpa chun, hiche hi aseije:”Keima munsang le achungnungpen’a ka um'in, a lhagao ki sehgima chule akineosah hoto kaum khome. Keiman mi kineosah ho ka kiledohsah kitnin chule lungchang kisih ho lung ngamna kalepeh in ahi.
For this is what the high and elevated One says, who lives eternally, whose name is holy, “I live in the exalted and holy place, with him also that is of a crushed and humble spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble ones, and to revive the heart of the contrite ones.
16 Ajeh iham itileh nangho chunga doulung kaput jing ding ahipon; keima lung hang jing ding kahipoi. Chuti ding hileng, kasemsa mihemte hi abonchauva thigam diu ahitai.
For I will not accuse forever, nor will I be angry forever, for then man's spirit would faint before me, the lives that I have made.
17 Kalung ana hanga, hijeh’a hi hiche mite hi ka gimbol ahi. Keima amahoa konin kakikhin kangin, ahijeng vang'in alouchal nau ajom jing nalaijuve.
Because of the sin of his violent gain, I was angry, and I punished him; I hid my face and was angry, but he went backward in the way of his heart.
18 Amahon ipi abol’u kamunai, hijongleh kaboldam ding hitante! Ken amaho pui jingting, alhaseteho kalhamon ding ahi.
I have seen his ways, but I will heal him. I will lead him and comfort and console those who mourn for him,
19 Pakai, amaho damsahpa’n aseije: Agamla le anaija hon lungmonna lhingset nei’uhen; akam’uva vahchoina thucheng hinlhut ‘uhen, ati.
and I create the fruit of the lips. Peace, peace, to those who are far off and to those who are near—says Yahweh—I will heal them.
20 Hijongleh, Keima eidoubol jing ho chu twikhanglen kinong, umthim theilouva, bonnang le aphon-nen hin notdoh tobangbep ahiuve.
But the wicked are like the tossing sea, which cannot rest, and its waters churn up mire and mud.
21 “Agiloupa dingin lungmonna aumpoi,” tin ka Pathen’in aseije.
There is no peace for the wicked one—says God.”
