< Isaiah 50 >

1 Hichehi Pakaiyin asei chu ahi: “Nanu chu keiman kada ahi tah jeh’a kisol manga ham? Ka thil bat ho jeh’a nangho soh’a ka johdoh’u ham? Ahipoi, na chonset jeh’uva kijohdohsa nahiu ahitai. Chule na chonset jeh’uva nanu’u jong kipui manga ahije.
This is what the Lord says: Where's your mother's divorce certificate I gave her when I sent her away? Which of my creditors did I sell you to? Now look! You were sold because of your sins, and your mother was sent away because of your wrongdoing.
2 Ipi iti danna ka hung petna koima cha umlou ahi dem? Ka kou petna iti dana koima eidonbutna umlou hin tem? Keiman huhdoh theina tha neilouva neigel’u ahi dem? Hiche hi ajeh kisei chu ahipoi! Ajeh iham itileh keiman twikhanglen koma thu kasei leh tolgo soh ‘a ahitai. Keiman vadung chu nelphai kasosah’a nga umho thi gam'a ahiiuve.
When I came, why wasn't anyone there? When I called, why didn't anyone answer? Is it because I don't have the strength to save you, or the power to rescue you? Can't you see that if I order it, the sea will dry up? I can turn rivers into a desert. Their fish stink because they've died of thirst since there's no water.
3 Keiman vanthamjol muthim kasosah’a, amaho chu lunghemna pon hoa kitom ahiuve.
I can make the heavens go dark, covering them with sackcloth like they're in mourning.
4 Thunei pen Pakaiyin Achihna thu eipei, hiche hi Keiman athachol kalhamon theina ding ahi. Jingkah ahung lhun seh le Ama’n eisukhang jin chule kahet khen them theina din Ama lunglam’a chona toh eihon thapeh in ahi.
The Lord God has given me the ability to teach others, to know how to encourage those who are exhausted with a word. He wakes me up every morning; he helps me listen as a disciple.
5 Thanei pen Pakaiyin ka koma thu ahin seijin chule keiman ka ngaipeh’e. Keiman Ama ka doupon chule ka kiheimang jeng poi.
The Lord God has instructed me, and I haven't been rebellious and I haven't turned away.
6 Keima eivo dingho lama ka nung kado peh in chule ka khamul bot lha goho koma kabeng ka dopeh’e. Keiman noisebolna le chilset khuma konin kamai kaselpoi.
I offered my back for people to beat me and my cheeks for people to pull my beard. I didn't hide my face from their mocking and spitting.
7 Ajeh chu Thunei chungnung Pakaiyin eipan pin, keima lungsetna bei hi ponge. Hijeh’a hi keiman kamai song tobanga katahsah’a, Alunglam bol dinga kakigot ahitai. Chule keima jachatna’a chulou ding kahi.
The Lord God helps me, so I haven't been disgraced. That's why I'm so determined, setting my face hard as stone, knowing I won't be humiliated.
8 Keima them eichansahpa chu naicha um ahi. Tua hi keima douna thusei ding koi alung ngam dem? Keima themo eichan ho chu koi koi hiu vem? Amaho chu hung kilu lah’u hen!
The one who vindicates me is close by, so who will bring charges against me? Let's stand to oppose one another! Come on, anyone who wants to accuse me!
9 Vetemin, keima Thuneipen Pakai chu kei lama apange. Koi ham eithemo chansah dinga? Ka melmate ho jouse chu ponlui tobang hiuvin tin, mase mon’in aneh tobanga kisumang ding ahiuve.
The Lord God defends me. Who is going to declare me guilty? Look! Those who try will fall apart like old clothing, eaten up by moths.
10 Nalah’uva koijin Pakai agin’a chule alhachapa thusei angai jem? Nangma muthim lah’ a khovah ‘a navalea ahileh, Pakai tahsanin chule na Pathen’a lung ngaijin.
Who among you respects the Lord and obeys what his servant says? Who among you walks in darkness and doesn't have light? Let them trust in the Lord and put their confidence in God.
11 Hinla ching theijun, nangma vah’a vahlen lang chule nangma tah mei nati chu kisang lum’in. Hiche hi nangman keija kona nakisan ding chu ahi. Nangma gangtah’a nalhah lutna thohhasa nathoh ding ahitai.
Beware all you who start a fire, who pick up blazing torches! Go ahead, walk in the light of your own fire and of the torches you yourselves have set alight! This is what you will receive from me: You are going to lie down in a place of suffering.
