< Isaiah 33 >

1 Ipi lunghemnan nangao ham nangho Assyria te, mi sumang ho, ahinla nangho leh nangho a itih in nakisumang kha hih helu vin ahi. Midang najou lhep jiuvin, ahinla nangho lheplha in na um kha hih uve. Mi suhmang nangah teng uleh nangho nakisumang diu ahi. Mi lheplhah nangah tengu leh nangho nakilhem lhadiu na hiuve.
Alas! thou plunderer when, thou, hadst not been plundered, And thou traitor when they had not betrayed thee: When thou hast ceased plundering, thou shalt be plundered, When thou hast left off betraying, they shall betray thee.
2 Ahin Pakai, nei hepiu vin, ajehchu nangma ngah a um kahiuve. Nisim in kaban thahat nun hungpangin lang, hahsatna'a kaum teng uleh eihuhdoh diuvin hung pangin.
O Yahweh! shew us favour, —For thee, have we waited, —Be thou their arm every morning, Yea our salvation in the time of distress.
3 Na awgin ajah jeh un melmate a jam uve. Nahung dindoh teng leh chitin namtin ajam jitao ve!
At the noise of a tumult, the peoples retreated, —When thou didst lift thyself up, nations were scattered.
4 Lungmul, peng palep leh khaokho hon louho leh lengpi gui ho akeova alha bang uva Assyria galsat sepai hojong lhu uva, ima hilou diu ahitai!
Then shall your spoil be gathered as the gathering of the caterpillar, —As the swift running of locusts, is he about to run upon them.
5 Pakai chu alet a len hihen. Van mun'a cheng hijong leh aman Jerusalem chu thudih leh chonphatna in na asemdoh ding ahi.
Exalted is Yahweh, for he inhabiteth a height, —He hath filled Zion with justice and righteousness.
6 Hiche nikho teng leh ama chu na kingap detchet na abul hintin, huhhing'a ninglhing setna kikoi khol, hetna leh chihna napeh ding ahi. Pakai gin chu nadinga gou hiding ahi.
So shall a wealth of deliverances, wisdom and knowledge, become the stability of thy times, —the reverence of Yahweh, the same is his treasure.
7 Ahin tun vang nagal hang hou lhang phongin akap uvin ahi. Chamna semho nommo tah in lunglha in akap uve.
Lo! their heroes, have cried out openly, —the messengers of peace, in bitterness, continue weeping [they say]:
8 Na lampiu ho jong akamdel tai; Koi macha alamlha tapouve. Assyrian ten chamna dinga kinopto nachu asukeh taovin, ahetoh a pangho masanga kitepna ananei uchu anahsah tapou vin ahi. Koima cha gin le ja anei pouve.
The highways are deserted, The passer-by on the path, hath ceased, —He hath broken covenant, He hath despised cities, He hath made no account of men.
9 Israel gam chu puldou nan achup lhatai. Lebanon jong jachat nin ananglha tai. Sharon phaicham chu tun gamthip gam ahitai. Bashan leh Carmel chom in ana umtai.
The land mourneth, languisheth, Lebanon, displayeth shame, is withered, —Sharon, hath become, as the waste plain, And Bashan and Carmel are shaking off their leaves.
10 Ahin Pakai in aseije: “Tun keima kadindoh ding ahi. Ka thahat naleh kahatna tua hi kavetsah ding ahi.
Now, will I arise, Saith Yahweh, Now, will I lift myself up, Now, will I be exalted!
11 Nangho Assyria miten hampa gop ahilouleh kolbu kung tailou ima nasodoh pouve. Nahai nau hu chu mei hung kisoh intin, nahin vallhum dingu ahi.
Ye shall conceive chaff Ye shall bring forth stubble, —Your own breath, like fire, shall devour you.
12 Ling hamboh a kisatlhah a, meiya akilelut bangin na mite jong kachai keidiu ahi.
So shall peoples, become, as the burnings of lime, —As thorns lopped off, with fire, shall they be burned.
13 Ipi kabol doh ham phaten ngaijun, nangho chitin namtin gam la tah'a umho! Chuleh naicha'a umhon kathahat hi hetpeh in nei neijun!”
Hear—ye that are far off. what I have done, And know—ye that are near my might:
14 Jerusalem'a um michonse ho tija in akithing thing uve. Pathen houlou hochu tijatna nasatah in aman taove. “Hitobang mi vallhum jengthei meikong hi kon athoh jou mong ding ham?” tin akap uvin ahi. “Hitobang meikong nasatah akon'a koiham asohcha ding?”
Terror-stricken in Zion, —are sinners, Shuddering hath seized the impious, —Who among us can sojourn with a fire that devoureth? Who among us can sojourn with burnings age-abiding?
15 Mi kitah leh mitheng ho, joule nal'a phatchomna ding nomlou ho, nehguh deilou jeh'a munchom gam latah'a umdoh ho tolthat dinga guhthim'a thilgon ho thusei ngaipeh lou'a da chah khet jeng ho, thilpha lou boldinga lhepna jouse mangcha guho akon'a amit u sing jeng ho-
He that walketh righteously, And speaketh uprightly, —He that refuseth the gain of exactions That shaketh his hands free from holding a bribe, That stoppeth his ear from hearkening to deeds of blood, And shutteth his eyes from giving countenance to wrong,
16 mun sang'a cheng ding hochu amaho hi ahiuve. Mol le lhang 'a um songpi hochu akulpiu va pangding ahi. Neh le chah hin kithah peh diu, chule tui jong ning lhing setna aneidiu ahi.
He, the heights, shall inhabit, A stronghold of crags, shall be his refuge, —His bread, hath been delivered, His waters, have been made sure,
17 Lengpa aloupina jouse toh namit tah uva namu diu, chuleh gamla tah'a sao gam leiset chu namit'a namu diu ahi.
Of a king, in his beauty, shall thine eyes have vision: They shall see a land that stretcheth afar.
18 Hiche tijat umtah nikho hi nahin nunggel doh diu, chuteng nahin doh diu chu, “Insangho sim toh'a pang Assyrian milun ho chu hoiya um uva hitam? I khopi u alhuh nunga thil le lo ki chomdoh ching tup'a pang lekhabu koitup hochu hoilai ja um uva hitam?”
Thy heart, may murmur in terror, —Where is the scribe? Where—the receiver? Where—he that maketh a list of the towers?
19 Migilou ho leh mikhanse hon hetkhah lou leh kidang tah paochom athohou hi navel mukit tah louding ahi.
The fierce people, shalt thou not see, —The people of too deep a lip to be understood, of too barbarous a tongue for thee to comprehend.
20 Zion chu golnop phatah bolna mun'a nahin lemu joh dingu ahi. Jerusalem chu chamna leh bitkeija umna khopi'a nahin mudingu ahi. Khoilupon in, akhao kiloi detchet leh akhom ho chah thet na kitung tobang ding ahi.
Look thou on Zion, the city of our appointed feast, —Thine own eyes, shall see Jerusalem—A home of comfort A tent which shall not be packed up—Whose pins shall not be pulled out, for ever, And none of, whose cords, shall be broken.
21 Eiho dinga Pakai chu Hatchungnung Pen hung hiding ahi. Amachu vadung vailentah in bitkei'a akoi, galmi hon ahin palkai joulou u bangdi ahi. Galmi ho kong jong kitolna thei hilou ding ahi.
But, there shall Yahweh be our majestic one, A place of rivers—streams broad on both hands, Wherein shall go no galley with oars, Neither shall majestic ship traverse it;
22 Ajehchu Pakai chu eithutan pao ahin, dan eipeuva leh i lengpao ahije. Aman eikhohsah untin, eihuhdoh diu ahi.
For, Yahweh is our judge, Yahweh, is our lawgiver, —Yahweh, is our king, He will save us!
23 Galmite kongtol napon akilhamin, kongleh lang achi pin, manchah hojong pannabei ahitai. Anei agou houjong Pathen mite kihom diu ahitai. Elbai ho jengin jong achan vou u akilah diu ahi!
Loosed are thy ropes, —They cannot strengthen the socket of their mast They have not unfurled a sail Now, can be apportioned spoil, in abundance, The lame, have captured prey!
24 “Kadam pouvin chuleh panpi bei kahiu ve,” tia Israel miten asei tahlou diu ahi. Ajeh chu Pakai in achonset nao angaidam ding ahitai.
Neither shall the inhabitant say. I am sick, —the people who dwell therein, have been forgiven iniquity.
