< Isaiah 33 >

1 Ipi lunghemnan nangao ham nangho Assyria te, mi sumang ho, ahinla nangho leh nangho a itih in nakisumang kha hih helu vin ahi. Midang najou lhep jiuvin, ahinla nangho lheplha in na um kha hih uve. Woe to you who destroy, but you were not destroyed; and who betray, but nobody betrayed you! When you have finished destroying, you will be destroyed; and when you have finished betrayal, you will be betrayed.
2 Ahin Pakai, nei hepiu vin, ajehchu nangma ngah a um kahiuve. Nisim in kaban thahat nun hungpangin lang, hahsatna'a kaum teng uleh eihuhdoh diuvin hung pangin.
Adonai, be gracious to us. We have waited for you. Be our strength every morning, our yishu'ah ·salvation· also in the time of trouble.
3 Na awgin ajah jeh un melmate a jam uve. Nahung dindoh teng leh chitin namtin ajam jitao ve!
At the noise of the thunder, the peoples have fled. When you lift yourself up, the nations are scattered.
4 Lungmul, peng palep leh khaokho hon louho leh lengpi gui ho akeova alha bang uva Assyria galsat sepai hojong lhu uva, ima hilou diu ahitai!
Your plunder will be gathered as the caterpillar gathers. Men will leap on it as locusts leap.
5 Pakai chu alet a len hihen. Van mun'a cheng hijong leh aman Jerusalem chu thudih leh chonphatna in na asemdoh ding ahi.
Adonai is exalted, for he dwells on high. He has filled Zion [Mountain ridge, Marking] with mishpat ·justice· and righteousness.
6 Hiche nikho teng leh ama chu na kingap detchet na abul hintin, huhhing'a ninglhing setna kikoi khol, hetna leh chihna napeh ding ahi. Pakai gin chu nadinga gou hiding ahi.
There will be stability in your times, abundance of yishu'ah ·salvation·, wisdom, and knowledge. The fear of Adonai is your treasure.
7 Ahin tun vang nagal hang hou lhang phongin akap uvin ahi. Chamna semho nommo tah in lunglha in akap uve.
Behold, their valiant ones cry outside; the ambassadors of peace weep bitterly.
8 Na lampiu ho jong akamdel tai; Koi macha alamlha tapouve. Assyrian ten chamna dinga kinopto nachu asukeh taovin, ahetoh a pangho masanga kitepna ananei uchu anahsah tapou vin ahi. Koima cha gin le ja anei pouve.
The highways are desolate. The traveling man ceases. The covenant is broken. He has despised the cities. He does not respect man.
9 Israel gam chu puldou nan achup lhatai. Lebanon jong jachat nin ananglha tai. Sharon phaicham chu tun gamthip gam ahitai. Bashan leh Carmel chom in ana umtai.
The land mourns and languishes. Lebanon is confounded and withers away. Sharon is like a desert, and Bashan and Carmel are stripped bare.
10 Ahin Pakai in aseije: “Tun keima kadindoh ding ahi. Ka thahat naleh kahatna tua hi kavetsah ding ahi.
“Now I will arise,” says Adonai; “Now I will lift myself up. Now I will be exalted.
11 Nangho Assyria miten hampa gop ahilouleh kolbu kung tailou ima nasodoh pouve. Nahai nau hu chu mei hung kisoh intin, nahin vallhum dingu ahi.
You will conceive chaff. You will give birth to stubble. Your breath is a fire that will devour you.
12 Ling hamboh a kisatlhah a, meiya akilelut bangin na mite jong kachai keidiu ahi.
The peoples will be like the burning of lime, like thorns that are cut down and burned in the fire.
13 Ipi kabol doh ham phaten ngaijun, nangho chitin namtin gam la tah'a umho! Chuleh naicha'a umhon kathahat hi hetpeh in nei neijun!”
Sh'ma ·Hear obey·, you who are far off, what I have done; and, you who are near, acknowledge my might.”
14 Jerusalem'a um michonse ho tija in akithing thing uve. Pathen houlou hochu tijatna nasatah in aman taove. “Hitobang mi vallhum jengthei meikong hi kon athoh jou mong ding ham?” tin akap uvin ahi. “Hitobang meikong nasatah akon'a koiham asohcha ding?”
The people who sin ·intentionally miss the mark goal· in Zion [Mountain ridge, Marking] are afraid. Trembling has seized the godless ones. Who among us can live with the devouring fire? Who among us can live with everlasting burning?
15 Mi kitah leh mitheng ho, joule nal'a phatchomna ding nomlou ho, nehguh deilou jeh'a munchom gam latah'a umdoh ho tolthat dinga guhthim'a thilgon ho thusei ngaipeh lou'a da chah khet jeng ho, thilpha lou boldinga lhepna jouse mangcha guho akon'a amit u sing jeng ho-
He who walks righteously, and speaks blamelessly; He who despises the gain of oppressions, who gestures with his hands, refusing to take a bribe, who stops his ears from sh'ma ·hearing obeying· plots of blood, and shuts his eyes from looking at evil—

17 Lengpa aloupina jouse toh namit tah uva namu diu, chuleh gamla tah'a sao gam leiset chu namit'a namu diu ahi.
Your eyes will see the king in his beauty. They will see a distant land.
18 Hiche tijat umtah nikho hi nahin nunggel doh diu, chuteng nahin doh diu chu, “Insangho sim toh'a pang Assyrian milun ho chu hoiya um uva hitam? I khopi u alhuh nunga thil le lo ki chomdoh ching tup'a pang lekhabu koitup hochu hoilai ja um uva hitam?”
Your heart will meditate on the terror. Where is he who counted? Where is he who weighed? Where is he who counted the towers?
19 Migilou ho leh mikhanse hon hetkhah lou leh kidang tah paochom athohou hi navel mukit tah louding ahi.
You will no longer see the fierce people, a people of a deep speech that you can’t sh'ma ·hear understand obey·, with a strange language that you can’t understand.
20 Zion chu golnop phatah bolna mun'a nahin lemu joh dingu ahi. Jerusalem chu chamna leh bitkeija umna khopi'a nahin mudingu ahi. Khoilupon in, akhao kiloi detchet leh akhom ho chah thet na kitung tobang ding ahi.
Look at Zion [Mountain ridge, Marking], the city of our appointed festivals. Your eyes will see Jerusalem [City of peace], a quiet habitation, a tent that won’t be removed. Its stakes will never be plucked up, nor will any of its cords be broken.
21 Eiho dinga Pakai chu Hatchungnung Pen hung hiding ahi. Amachu vadung vailentah in bitkei'a akoi, galmi hon ahin palkai joulou u bangdi ahi. Galmi ho kong jong kitolna thei hilou ding ahi.
But there Adonai will be with us in majesty, a place of wide rivers and streams, in which no galley with oars will go, neither will any gallant ship pass by there.
22 Ajehchu Pakai chu eithutan pao ahin, dan eipeuva leh i lengpao ahije. Aman eikhohsah untin, eihuhdoh diu ahi.
For Adonai is our judge. Adonai is our Torah-giver. Adonai is our king. He will save us.
23 Galmite kongtol napon akilhamin, kongleh lang achi pin, manchah hojong pannabei ahitai. Anei agou houjong Pathen mite kihom diu ahitai. Elbai ho jengin jong achan vou u akilah diu ahi!
Your rigging is untied. They couldn’t strengthen the foot of their mast. They couldn’t spread the sail. Then the prey of a great plunder was divided. The lame took the prey.
24 “Kadam pouvin chuleh panpi bei kahiu ve,” tia Israel miten asei tahlou diu ahi. Ajeh chu Pakai in achonset nao angaidam ding ahitai.
The inhabitant won’t say, “I am sick.” The people who dwell therein will be forgiven their depravity (moral evil).
