< Isaiah 29 >
1 “Ipi lunghem nan nanga hitam, Ariel, David khopi. Kumseh le golnop anneh namang jingin.
Woe to Ariel! Ariel, the city where David encamped! Add year to year; let the feasts come around;
2 Hijong leh nachunga manthahna kahin lhut ding, chuleh hichea chu lunghem naleh kana sangtah umding ahi. Ajehchu Jerusalem hi Ariel min kisah akoudoh chu hung hiding ahi-maicham thisan in atom khum.
then I will distress Ariel, and there will be mourning and lamentation. She shall be to me as an altar hearth.
3 Keima hi nagal mi kahiding, Jerusalem kakol khum'a nabang hou kaphut ding ahi. Kul sangtah'a kasah a, ka suhmang ding ahi.
I will encamp against you all around you, and will lay siege against you with posted troops. I will raise siege works against you.
4 Chuteng, leiset thuhtah noija kon'a nahin seiding; leivui noi langa patna nathu hungding ahi. Tol'a kon'a na awgin chu thilha lhannoi akon'a olcha a awgin tobang hiding ahi.
You will be brought down, and will speak out of the ground. Your speech will mumble out of the dust. Your voice will be as of one who has a familiar spirit, out of the ground, and your speech will whisper out of the dust.
5 Ahin hetman lou in, lungsetna neilou nagal mite chu leivui hoitah banga ki suchip dingu ahi. Na hinsat hou chu huilah a changvai banga delmanga umdiu ahi. Photlot louvin, apet pet nin.
But the multitude of your foes will be like fine dust, and the multitude of the ruthless ones like chaff that blows away. Yes, it will be in an instant, suddenly.
6 Keima, van janel Pakai in nadinga thil kahin bol ding ahi; vang'in, lingki hot leh husa sangtah, chimpei, hui le go kitho leh mi halvam jeng thei meikonga kahung vilding nahi.
She will be visited by the LORD of Armies with thunder, with earthquake, with great noise, with whirlwind and storm, and with the flame of a devouring fire.
7 Chitin namtin Jerusalem douna a galsat ho jouse mang banga manghel diu ahi! A kulpiu nokhum ho jouse jan mang banga manghel diu ahi.
The multitude of all the nations that fight against Ariel, even all who fight against her and her stronghold, and who distress her, will be like a dream, a vision of the night.
8 Gilkel thohpan nehding amang mat in, ahin ahung khah teng leh ana gilkel thou thou ve. Dang chah pan donding a mang mat in, ahin jingkah ahung hiteng leh dang chah in alhachom in ahi. Hitobanga chu na melma teu hung hiding, Zion lhang nokhum ho jong hidiu ahi.”
It will be like when a hungry man dreams, and behold, he eats; but he awakes, and his hunger isn’t satisfied; or like when a thirsty man dreams, and behold, he drinks; but he awakes, and behold, he is faint, and he is still thirsty. The multitude of all the nations that fight against Mount Zion will be like that.
9 Na lungdonga natahsan lel ham? Na tahsan lou ham? Hichu ahileh che masan lang khomu lou in umtan. Na ngolbeh buh in ahin ju akon ahipoi! Na lundong dongin ahi, ahin ju akon ahipoi!
Pause and wonder! Blind yourselves and be blind! They are drunken, but not with wine; they stagger, but not with strong drink.
10 Ajehchu Pakai in imut lhuh na lhagao nachunga ahin sun lhah ahitai. Na themgao ho leh gao chang ho mit chu a sing tup tan ahi.
For the LORD has poured out on you a spirit of deep sleep, and has closed your eyes, the prophets; and he has covered your heads, the seers.
11 Ahung lhung ding thilsoh ding jouse gaova kimu hi amaho a dinga lekhabu Mohor kinam khum tobang ahi. Asim thei ding ho napeh teng leh, hitia hi aseidingu ahi. “Mohor a kinam khum jeh in kasim theipouve” atidiu ahi.
All vision has become to you like the words of a book that is sealed, which men deliver to one who is educated, saying, “Read this, please;” and he says, “I can’t, for it is sealed;”
12 Asimthei louho napeh teng leh, hitia hi aseidiu ahi, “Iti simdiham kahepou ve,” atidiu ahi.
and the book is delivered to one who is not educated, saying, “Read this, please;” and he says, “I can’t read.”
13 Hijeh chun Pakai in aseije, “Hiche mite hin amaho hi keija ahi tin aseijuve. Akam un ei jabol un, ahin alungu keija konin agam lhai. Eihou u jong hi ima ahipoi, ahin mihem semthu danthu holeh mohchin chin thu a bou ahi.
The Lord said, “Because this people draws near with their mouth and honours me with their lips, but they have removed their heart far from me, and their fear of me is a commandment of men which has been taught;
14 Hiche jeh ahi, keiman avel'a mipha lhem ho paomo leova hatah a adatmo na diuva kakoi ding ahi. Miching chihna chu hung mangin tin, chihna nei hetna ho hung beiding ahitai.”
therefore, behold, I will proceed to do a marvellous work amongst this people, even a marvellous work and a wonder; and the wisdom of their wise men will perish, and the understanding of their prudent men will be hidden.”
15 Ipi lung genthei nan a nga u ahita dem, Pakai kom'a kon athilgon hou selmang guhon, muthim noi'a thilse bolhon! “Pakai in eimu thei pouvin, ipi ibol'u jong ahepoi,” tin asei juve.
Woe to those who deeply hide their counsel from the LORD, and whose deeds are in the dark, and who say, “Who sees us?” and “Who knows us?”
16 Ichan gei'a hung ngol ding nahi tam? Amachu beldengpa ahin, amachu tahbeh in nang leingan sanga lenjo ahi! “Aman eisem ahipoi,” tia thilsem in asempa kom'a aseiding ham? “Eisem pa beldengpa hi mingol ahi, “tia bel in aseikhah mong ding ham?
You turn things upside down! Should the potter be thought to be like clay, that the thing made should say about him who made it, “He didn’t make me;” or the thing formed say of him who formed it, “He has no understanding”?
17 Mangang tah'a-geisang behseh talou ding- Lebanon gammang lah ho chu loupha lai hung soh in tin, lousoh tampi asosah ding ahi.
Isn’t it yet a very little while, and Lebanon will be turned into a fruitful field, and the fruitful field will be regarded as a forest?
18 Hiche niteng chuleh lekhabua thucheng kisim, nangong in ajahding, chule mitchon lungjin naleh muthim amu ding ahi.
In that day, the deaf will hear the words of the book, and the eyes of the blind will see out of obscurity and out of darkness.
19 Mi kineosah hon Pakai akon'a kipana thahbeh amudim sohdiu ahi. Migenthei ho chu Israel Mitheng Pa a kipah thanom diu ahi.
The humble also will increase their joy in the LORD, and the poor amongst men will rejoice in the Holy One of Israel.
20 Mi ija seplou ho umtalou diu, mi kithupi sah ho mangthah diu, chuleh thilpha lou bolgoho kithat diu ahi.
For the ruthless is brought to nothing, and the scoffer ceases, and all those who are alert to do evil are cut off—
21 Mona neilou themmo chansah ho mangthah diu ahi. Thutandih lamhilouva hei mangho leh mona neiloi suhmang nadinga jou sei hon akibang chet gotna kipe chu chang diu ahi.
who cause a person to be indicted by a word, and lay a snare for one who reproves in the gate, and who deprive the innocent of justice with false testimony.
22 Hijeh achu Pakai, Abraham huhdoh pan, Israel mite henga aseijin, “Kamite jachatna a hung um talou diu, kichat jeh a dang kehkoh talou diu ahi.
Therefore the LORD, who redeemed Abraham, says concerning the house of Jacob: “Jacob shall no longer be ashamed, neither shall his face grow pale.
23 Ajehchu achateu tamtah ahin mu tengu leh, phatthei na jouse achateu kaboh khum amu tengu leh Israel Mitheng Pa thenselna chu ahin hetdoh diu ahi. Jacob Pathen mai'a kichatah a ding diu ahi.
But when he sees his children, the work of my hands, in the middle of him, they will sanctify my name. Yes, they will sanctify the Holy One of Jacob, and will stand in awe of the God of Israel.
24 Ngol thit thet hon hettheina hin nei untin, phun sehon kihilna asandiu ahi.
They also who err in spirit will come to understanding, and those who grumble will receive instruction.”
