< Isaiah 26 >
1 Hiche nikho teng leh Judah gamsung cheng mijousen hiche la hi asah diu ahi: Ka khopiu hi dettah ahi! Pathen mi huhhingna banghon eium kim velun ahi.
In that day shall this song be sung in the land of Judah: “We have a strong city; His aid doth God appoint for walls and bulwarks.
2 Michonpha hodin kotpi hon peh un; tahsan umtah ho chu lut sah un.
Open ye the gates, That the righteous nation may enter in, The nation that keepeth the truth.
3 Nangma tahsan ho jouse, lungmong sel'a nakoiding ahin, alunggel jouse nachunga koidet ho chu.
Him that is of a steadfast mind Thou wilt keep in continual peace, Because he trusteth in thee.
4 Pakai chu tahsan jing jengun, ajehchu Pakai Pathen chu tonsot songpi ahi.
Trust ye in Jehovah forever, For the Lord Jehovah is an everlasting rock.
5 Mi kiletsah ho chu asunem jin, khopi kiletsah chu asu lhujin, leivui asojin ahi.
For he hath brought down the inhabitants of the fortress; The lofty city he hath laid low; He hath laid her low even to the ground; He hath levelled her with the dust.
6 Mivaicha leh suh genthei a umhon akengtou vin achot phaovin, genthei vaichaho achunga avah leu vin ahi.
The foot trampleth upon her, The feet of the poor, the steps of the needy.
7 Ahin, michonpha hodin lampi chu aken pon, ajot hahpoije. Thildih jengbol Pathen chu nahin, amalam u lampi nam pet in nalhai.
The way of the upright is a smooth way; Thou, O most righteous, doth level the path of the upright!
8 Pakai, na danthu ho kanit uhin katahsan nao aphongdoh in, namin loupi ding hi kalung ngaichat pennu ahi.
In the way of thy judgments, O Jehovah, we have waited for thee; The desire of our souls is to thy name, and to the remembrance of thee.
9 Jan khovah in nangma kaholjin; jingkah teng gunchu tah in Pathen kahol ji. Ajehchu leiset thutanna nahung teng lebou, miten adih chu ahet diu ahi.
My soul longeth for thee in the night, And my spirit within me seeketh thee in the morning; For when thy judgments are in the earth, The inhabitants of the world learn righteousness.
10 Migiloute nangai lut nan thilpha aboldoh deh pouve. Midangin thilpha abol vang'in, migilouten thildih lou abol jingu vin, Pakai loupina chu hetphah in aneipouve.
Though favor be shown to the wicked, He will not learn righteousness; In the land of uprightness will he deal unjustly, And have no regard to the majesty of Jehovah.
11 Aw Pakai na khuttum dopsang eman agel pou ve. Na mite na huhdoh nomdan chu musah in, chuteng amaho chu jachatna dimdiu ahitai. Na meikong chun nagalmi ho sumang jeng hen
Thy hand, O Jehovah, is lifted up, yet do they not see; But they shall see with shame thy zeal for thy people; Yea, fire shall devour thine adversaries.
12 Pakai chamna neipeh diu ahi; kabol ka suh bulhit jouseu hi nang jal'a bou ahi.
Thou, O Jehovah, wilt give us peace; For all our works thou doest for us.
13 Aw Pakai ka Pathen u, midang hon kachung uva vai ahin hom uve, ahin nangma bou nahi keima hon ka hou uchu.
O Jehovah, our God, other lords have had dominion over us besides thee; Only through thee do we call upon thy name.
14 Kana jen leuho chu athiuvin, aum gam tapouve. A lhagao dalhah hou hung kile talou hel ding ahi! Nangman nasat nin, na sumang gamtai. Amaho chu sottahpi gelphah louvin aumtauve.
They are dead, they shall not live; They are shades, they shall not rise. For thou hast visited and destroyed them, And caused all the memory of them to perish.
15 Aw Pakai, kanam u nei semlet peh taove; lentah nei so tao vin ahi. Ka gamgi hou jong nei kehlet peh un, loupina nangma kahin peuvin ahi!
“Thou wilt enlarge the nation, O Jehovah! Thou wilt enlarge the nation; thou wilt glorify thyself; Thou wilt widely extend all the borders of the land.
16 Pakai, lung genthei in nangma kana hol ui. Na thunun pohgihna nanoija kahungtao uve.
O Jehovah, in affliction they sought thee; They poured out their prayer, when thy chastisement was upon them.
17 Numei naovop in nao anei na'a na asah a, apenchoi choi banga, Pakai, na umna'a kaum tenguleh kachuti jiu ve.
As a woman with child, when her delivery is near, Is in anguish, and crieth aloud in her pangs, So have we been, far from thy presence, O Jehovah!
18 Keiho jong lungna in kijel chot chot in ka umun, ahin kagenthei thoh ujong mohseh ahi. Leiset adin huhhingna kape thei pouve, hinna jong vannoi a kapolut thei pouvin ahi.
We have been with child; we have been in anguish, Yet have, as it were, brought forth wind. To the land we bring no deliverance; Nor are the inhabitants of the land born.
19 Ahin Pakai a thiho chu hung hing diu, atahsau hung thoudoh kit ding ahi! Leiset a imu hochu hungthoudoh diu chuleh kipa jal'a la asah diu ahi. Ajeh chu na hinna-vah kipa chu jingkah daitwi alhah banga namite thi umna munna hunglha ding ahi.
O might thy dead live again, Might the dead bodies of my people arise! Awake, and sing, ye that dwell in the dust! For thy dew is like the dew upon plants, And the earth shall bring forth her dead.”
20 In na cheuvin, kamite, na kot hou kam tup un! Chomkhat adin kisel mangun, Pakai lunghanna akichai masang sen.
Come, my people, enter into thy chambers, And shut thy doors behind thee; Hide thyself for a little moment, Until the indignation be overpast!
21 Ven! Leiset mite a chonset jeh un, gotna pedin Pakai chu van'a konin ahungin ahi. Leiset in akithat ho asel jou tah lou ding, mijouse mudinga hung kipuidoh diu ahi.
For behold, Jehovah cometh forth from his place, To punish the inhabitants of the earth for their iniquity; And the earth shall disclose her blood, And shall no longer cover her slain.
