< Isaiah 24 >
1 Ven! Pakai in leiset asuhmang ding kon ahitai, chuleh gam ong lentah asoding ahi. Leiset chung asumang in, amite athethang soh tai.
Behold, YHWH is emptying the earth, And is making it desolate, And has overturned [it on] its face, And has scattered its inhabitants.
2 Thempu ho leh milham ho, sohho leh vaihom ho, sohnu holeh inneinu ho, sum hom pa leh sum laho, acho holeh ajoh ho, sum bat sah hole sum pa laho, khat cha soh cha lou ding ahiuve.
And it has been—as a people so a priest, As the servant so his master, As the maidservant so her mistress, As the buyer so the seller, As the lender so the borrower, As the usurer so he who is lifting [it] on himself.
3 Leiset chung kihin sutheng sel ding chuleh kichom ngimsel ding ahi tin Pakai in aseitai.
The earth is utterly emptied, and utterly spoiled, For YHWH has spoken this word:
4 Leiset in pul adou in, a golha gamtai, chuleh lousoh ho a kisumangin, a nang gamtai. Leiset chunga milen tah hojeng jong amah thah gam tai.
The earth has mourned, faded, The world has languished, faded, They have languished—the high place of the people of the earth.
5 Amite chonset jeh in, leiset in a thoh gimin ahi. Ajehchu Pathen thuhil hoa pei chavai un, a danthu ho a sukeh un, tonsot'a dinga akitepna asuseh taovin ahi.
And the earth has been defiled under its inhabitants, Because they have transgressed laws, They have changed a statute, They have made void a perpetual covenant.
6 Hijeh chun, gaosap nan leiset asumang in ahi. Amiten amite chonset jeh a genthei hahsat na ato diu ahi. Meiya akisumang un, mi themkhat bou ahingin akidalhan ahi.
Therefore a curse has consumed the earth, And the inhabitants in it become desolate, Therefore inhabitants of the earth have been consumed, And few men have been left.
7 Lengpi gui ho jong mohseh in akisumang in, ju athah jong a kimu jou tapoi. Kipa thanop bol jouse jong akhoisa un, alung hem uve.
The new wine has mourned, the vine languished, All the joyful of heart have sighed.
8 Kipa thanop na khong gin athip heltai; golnop a kipa aw thong a kija tapoi. Selangdah a awngeitah a la kisa athip heltai.
The joy of tambourines has ceased, The noise of exulting ones has ceased, The joy of a harp has ceased.
9 Ju leh la a kipa thanop na jouse achemang tan; judu ho judon ho jong akam uva akha tan ahi.
They do not drink wine with a song, Strong drink is bitter to those drinking it.
10 Khopi kinchuh chuh in acheh chao in; insung jouse moh ponghung lut ho jeh in akikam soh in ahi.
It was broken down—a city of emptiness, Every house has been shut from [its] entrance.
11 Mipi lamlen ho a akikhomun, ju asam sam jenguve. Kipana chu lungjin asoh tan ahi. Kipana chu hiche gam'a kon chun nomang in aumtai.
In out-places [is] a cry over the wine, All joy has been darkened, The joy of the land has been removed.
12 Khopi chu mang thai in aki dalhan, a kot hojong akivo lha gam tan ahi.
Desolation [is] left in the city, And the gate is struck [with] ruin.
13 Leiset chung jouse a hiche thusim hi akibange- amoh bou akidalhan, theiphung chunga theichang khat pampet a kidalha tobang, lengpi thei themkhat akikhop tup jouva agui a kidalha tobang hiding ahi.
When thus it is in the heart of the land, In the midst of the peoples, As the surrounding of the olive, As gleanings when harvest has been finished,
14 Ahin dalhah a umjousen kipana jeh in a eu vun, la asaove. Lhumlam a umhon Pakai loupina chu a vahchoi uve
They lift up their voice, They sing of the excellence of YHWH, They have cried aloud from the sea.
15 Solam gamkaija umhon Pakai loupina apeuve. Twikhanglen gal langpeh a umhon Israel Pathen, Pakai minchu avahchoi un ahi.
Therefore honor YHWH in prosperity, In islands of the sea, the Name of YHWH, God of Israel.
16 Leiset kolning lang peh a konin vahchoila kisa kajaovin, chonpha Pa loupina kipe la ahi! Ahin kalung sung hi lung genthei nan adim e. Nei kapiu vin, ajehchu agolhapai ding kahi tai. Jouva kibolna ache nalaije, chuleh leptholna hi muntina a um nalaije.
From the skirt of the earth we heard songs, The desire of the righteous. And I say, “Leanness [is] to me, Leanness [is] to me, woe [is] to me.” Treacherous dealers dealt treacherously, Indeed, treachery, treacherous dealers dealt treacherously.
17 Leiset aum miten, kichat tijatna, kokhuh chuleh thang tamtah nakimai topi diu ahi.
Fear, and a snare, and a trap, [Are] on you, O inhabitant of the earth.
18 Tijat na a jamhon kokhuh sunga lhalut untin, kokhuh sunga kona sohcha hon, thang nga hung oh diu ahi. Manthah na hi vanna konna go julha banga hung julha ding ahi; leiset bulpi ho hung kihot ding ahije.
And it has come to pass, He who is fleeing from the noise of the fear falls into the snare, And he who is coming up from the midst of the snare, Is captured by the trap, For windows have been opened on high, And foundations of the earth are shaken.
19 Leiset hi akisu keh tai. Nasatah a chimlha ahitai; Nasatah in akihot in ahi.
The earth has been utterly broken down, The earth has been utterly broken, The earth has been utterly moved.
20 Leiset hi jukham bangin alon dong dong in ahi. Hui lego in ponbuh asem bangin leiset akithingin, lhu intin thoudoh lou ding ahitai. Ajeh chu dougal asatnao gitlouna chu sangval a ahitai.
The earth staggers greatly as a drunkard, And it has been moved as a lodge, And its transgression has been heavy on it, And it has fallen, and does not add to rise.
21 Hiche nikho teng chuleh Pakai in van munhoa um van miho gotna apeh ding chuleh leiset namtin chunga kiletsah tah a vaihom ho gotna apeh ding ahi.
And it has come to pass in that day, YHWH lays a charge on the host of the high place in the high place, And on the kings of the earth on the earth.
22 Amaho chu ki umkhum a, songkul'a kikoitup diu ahi. Songkul'a kikam tup chet diu, chule achaina leh gotna sangtah kipe diu ahi.
And they have been gathered—A gathering of bound ones in a pit, And they have been shut up in a prison, And after a multitude of days are inspected.
23 Chuteng lha loupina chu hung mang suh cheh intin, nisa vah jong hung nol lha ding ahi, ajehchu vanmi janel Pakai chun Zion lhanga vai ahin hom ding ahi.
And the moon has been confounded, And the sun has been ashamed, For YHWH of Hosts has reigned In Mount Zion, and in Jerusalem, And before His elderly—glory!
