< Isaiah 13 >
1 Amoz chapa Isaiah in Babylon kisuh mang nading chunga thuhil khat anamun:
The burden of Babylon, which Isaiah the son of Amoz saw:
2 “Kihetsahna ponlap thinglhang vum'a khaisangin Babylon kimai topi din galsat dingho kou khomin thahattah leh thaneitah leng inpi ajotteng uleh amaho tilkhounan nakhut lhangin.
Set up a banner on the bare mountain. Lift up your voice to them. Wave your hand, that they may go into the gates of the nobles.
3 Pakai, keiman, hiche natoh tonglha dinga galsat ho kapehdoh ahi. Ahin, ka lung hanna phondoh nadinga gal hang ho kakouva, choisanga kaum teng amaho jong kipah thanom diu ahi.”
I have commanded my consecrated ones; I have also called my mighty men to carry out my anger, my proudly exulting ones.
4 Mol le lhanga husa khu ngaijun! Sepai tamtah kijot husa khu ngaijun! Namtin husa len pen ahi. Van Janel Pakai in hiche galsat sepai hohi akou khom ahi.
The noise of a multitude is in the mountains, as of a great people; the noise of an uproar of the kingdoms of the nations gathered together. The LORD of hosts is mustering the army for the battle.
5 Amaho hi gam latah a kona hunguva, kolning khel lama kona jong hung ahiuve. Pakai lungsatna podoh dinga amaho hi Pakai manchah ahiuve. Pakai in ama hotoh gam abonna asuhmang ding ahi.
They come from a far country, from the uttermost part of heaven, even the LORD, and the weapons of his indignation, to destroy the whole land.
6 Kichat tijat pumin a eo vun ajehchu Pakai nikho chu ahung lhungtai- Hatchung nung in asuhmang ding phat chu.
Wail; for the day of the LORD is at hand. It will come as destruction from Shaddai.
7 Ban jouse ki chat pumin chatthei louvin aumin, lung jouse ajunlha gamin,
Therefore all hands will be feeble, and everyone's heart will melt.
8 Chuleh mipi suh tijat in a ume. Lung genthei nan aman chah kheh un, numei naosonat thoh abangu ve. Kipanpi leh kihuto thei lou vin khat le khat akive to un, tijatnan amai u atom jenguve.
They will be dismayed. Pangs and sorrows will seize them. They will be in pain like a woman in labor. They will look in amazement one at another. Their faces will be faces of flame.
9 Ajehchu ven, Pakai nikho chu ahung lhunge a lungsat a lunghan tijat umtah nikho. Agam jong mi chen khahlou na gam asoding, chuleh michonse ho jong suhmanga um tha dingu ahi.
Look, the day of the LORD comes, cruel, with wrath and fierce anger; to make the land a desolation, and to destroy its sinners out of it.
10 Vanlaijol ho jong hung vom lha intin, ahsi hon jong vah ahinpeh loudiu ahi. Nisa aso teng thimpi jingding, chuleh lhathah in vah apeh tah louding ahi.
For the stars of the sky and its constellations will not give their light. The sun will be darkened in its going forth, and the moon will not cause its light to shine.
11 Pakai, keiman, vannoi phatlou jeh leh migiloute chonset jeh a gotna kapeh ding ahi. Mi kiletsah ho ahoithonao kasuhchip ding, a thahat nao kiletsah piho kasuh nem ding ahi.
I will punish the world for their evil, and the wicked for their iniquity. I will cause the arrogance of the proud to cease, and will humble the haughtiness of the terrible.
12 Keiman mihemte hi sana sanga manlujo a kasemding. Ophir sana theng sanga lujodiu ahi.
I will make people more rare than fine gold, even a person than the pure gold of Ophir.
13 Ajehchu keiman vanho kaloling ding ahi. Pakai lungsatna Pakai van sepai hon ahin vetsah tengu leh leiset jong a umna akona kichondoh ding ahi.
Therefore I will make the heavens tremble, and the earth will be shaken out of its place in the wrath of the LORD of hosts, and in the day of his fierce anger.
14 Gamleng ho akona sakhineo ajammang banga Babylon a cheng mipi jong jam mang diu, kelngoi aching umlou bang diu ahi. Ami u’ akihol diu chule agam languva jam diu ahi.
It will happen that like a hunted gazelle, and like sheep that no one gathers, they will each turn to their own people, and will each flee to their own land.
15 Koihileh akiman tapou chu satan’a umding-chemjam hemset na lhailut bang ding ahi.
Everyone who is found will be thrust through. Everyone who is captured will fall by the sword.
16 Amitmu tah uva achateu cheng talih a umdiu ahi. A innu kibulu ding, chuleh ajiteu suhsetna umdiu ahi.
Their infants also will be dashed in pieces before their eyes. Their houses will be ransacked, and their wives raped.
17 “Ven, keiman Medes te kachoudoh a Babylon te kaki maito sahding ahi. Dangka in jong lhem lha jou pouvin tin, sana a jong a jollhah joulou diu ahi.
Look, I will stir up the Medes against them, who will not value silver, and as for gold, they will not delight in it.
18 Galsat sepai hon khangthah ho thalpi a akaplhuh diu ahi. Panpibei naosen ho chunga hepina anei lou diu, chuleh chapang ho chunga jong khotona anei lou diu ahi.”
Their bows will dash the young men in pieces; and they shall have no pity on the fruit of the womb. Their eyes will not spare children.
19 Babylon lenggam adia loupipen, Chaldean ten Pahcha banga akithang at piu hi Pathenin Sodom leh Gomorrah asuhmang banga asuhgam ding ahi.
Babylon, the glory of kingdoms, the beauty of the Chaldeans' pride, will be like when God overthrew Sodom and Gomorrah.
20 Babylon hi koiman a lo kittah louding ahi. Akhang akhanga akeoseh a umding ahitai. Umdetna neilouva chao lele jat hon ngahmun dinga jong adeilou diu ahi, chuleh kelngoi chinghon akelngoi u agepi nomlou diu ahi.
It will never be inhabited, neither will it be lived in from generation to generation. The Arabian will not pitch a tent there, neither will shepherds make their flocks lie down there.
21 Neldi gam’a gancha ho jong mangthai khopi sunga kichonlut un tin, chuleh Si al ham banga ham gancha hon insung jouse alodim diu ahi. Sumbu changlit hon umnan neijun tin, chuleh gamkelcha ho hilai munna chu galha diu ahi.
But wild animals of the desert will lie there, and their houses will be full of jackals. Ostriches will dwell there, and wild goats will frolic there.
22 Akulpi sunga ngeiho peng le le diu, chuleh leng inpi nomtah sunga si al hon ko akisem diu ahi. Babylon kem suh nading jat nikho akisim pan tai: aman thah nading phat hung lhung ding ahitai.
Wolves will cry in their fortresses, and jackals in the pleasant palaces. Her time is near to come, and her days will not be prolonged.
