< Hosea 5 >
1 Hiche hi ngaiyin, nang thempuho. Lunglutin ngaiyin, nang Israelte lamkai. Nangho leng insung mite jousen jong ngaichehuvin. Ajeh chu nachunguva thutanna hi kingam sohkei ahitai. Nanghon Mizpah le Tabor khoa dingin kipalna thang nakamuve.
“Listen to this, you priests! Listen, house of Israel, and give ear, house of the king! For the judgment is against you; for you have been a snare at Mizpah, and a net spread on Tabor.
2 Kotong thuhtah in nachouvun thang nakampehuvin ahi. Ahinlah nathil bol hi kenjong kahin vetjing ahiye.
The rebels are deep in slaughter, but I discipline all of them.
3 O Ephraim, keiman nang koitobang nahi kahenai. Nang keiya konin kisel theipon nate, O Israel, notinun ajipa adalhah bangin, kei neidalha tai, nangma thanghoitah-a kisubohdeh nahi ahitai.
I know Ephraim, and Israel is not hidden from me; for now, Ephraim, you have played the prostitute. Israel is defiled.
4 Nachon nauvin Pathen henga nakilesah thei tapouve. Ajeh chu nalahuva noti dinga lunggel jeng nagel jeh'un, Na Pathen-u umna lam nagel phatapouvin ahi.
Their deeds won’t allow them to turn to their God, for the spirit of prostitution is within them, and they don’t know the LORD.
5 Israel chu akiletsahnan achunga aheh jingin, Ephraim chu aphatlouna-a kipal lhu ding ahin, Juda jong Israel le Ephraim toh kipal’a lhukhom tha ding ahi.
The pride of Israel testifies to his face. Therefore Israel and Ephraim will stumble in their iniquity. Judah also will stumble with them.
6 Akelngoi jouseu le abong jouseuvin pumgo thilto Pakaiya hungbol jongleu, amu loudiu ahitai, ajeh chu amahoa kona kikhin gamla ahitai.
They will go with their flocks and with their herds to seek the LORD, but they won’t find him. He has withdrawn himself from them.
7 Amahon Pakai chu kitahna beiyin anabol tauvin, hibangtah in jatdng mitoh cha anahing tauvin ahi. Tua hi mi sumongpa chun ama ho jong aloumunu jong asuhmongtha ding ahi.
They are unfaithful to the LORD; for they have borne illegitimate children. Now the new moon will devour them with their fields.
8 Gibeah khoa kelki mutuvinlang! Ramah khoa sumkon mutuvin, Beth-aven khoa galkonding in kiginna lhang samuvin. Vo Benjamin kiti hot hotin!
“Blow the cornet in Gibeah, and the shofar in Ramah! Sound a battle cry at Beth Aven, behind you, Benjamin!
9 Ephraim dinga talen kapeh nikho leh ahomkeuva kijam ding, Israel phung laha thonlou hella kaphondoh ding ahi.
Ephraim will become a desolation in the day of rebuke. Among the tribes of Israel, I have made known that which will surely be.
10 Juda gam'a milen milalho jong gucha bangdiu, achunguva kalunghanna twilhabom bang ding ahi.
The princes of Judah are like those who remove a landmark. I will pour out my wrath on them like water.
11 Ephraim hin thu adiha katan jeng jong asunoh phahtai. Ajeh chu amahi pannabeiya kipedoh-a vahthaile ahitai.
Ephraim is oppressed, he is crushed in judgment, because he is intent in his pursuit of idols.
12 Hijeh a chu keijong Ephraim dinga nget tobanga kahi ding, Juda insung dinga jong agotlhahsah-a pang ding kahi.
Therefore I am to Ephraim like a moth, and to the house of Judah like rottenness.
13 Ephraim chu adammona akimu doh phat in, Judah chun amaha akimudoh phatin, Ephraim chu Assyria gam'a achen lenglenpa henga mi asole. Ahinlah aman hom naboldam theilou ding, amaha jong asuhdam thei lou ding ahi.
“When Ephraim saw his sickness, and Judah his wound, then Ephraim went to Assyria, and sent to King Jareb: but he is not able to heal you, neither will he cure you of your wound.
14 Keima Ephraim dinga keipi kabah ding, Judah dinga keipi golpai hattah kabah ding ahi. Kei mong mong in kabotel jengjung ding ahi. Keiman kalhoh manga koiman eichulhah jou lou ding ahi.
For I will be to Ephraim like a lion, and like a young lion to the house of Judah. I myself will tear in pieces and go away. I will carry off, and there will be no one to deliver.
15 Chuteng kagam langa kakile kit ding, Amahon athemmonau akihet dohuva, keima angsung ahinhol kit kahseu, kachenna muna kache ding, agenthei behseh tengule eihin holdiu ahi.
I will go and return to my place, until they acknowledge their offense, and seek my face. In their affliction they will seek me earnestly.”
