< Hosea 13 >
1 Ephraim in thu aseiya mipi lungsung atongkhah teng, akicha jiuve. Ahinlah Ephraim mite chonsetna chu Baal doihou hi ahin, Hiche chun hahsat nale gentheinaa apuilut’u ahi.
When Ephraim, spake, there was terror, exalted was, he, in Israel, —but, when he became guilty with Baal, then he died.
2 Tunjong chonset aboljom jingun adangkau ho chu akhengun milim doi in tamtah tah asemun ahi. Hitobang milim doi hohi mihem khut themho semdoh jeng ahibouve. “Hichea hi kithou jiuva” Kapjiuva, “chule bongnou lim chu achopjiu ahi!”
Now, therefore they go on to sin, and have made them a Molten Thing out of their silver, after the notion of idols, the workmanship of craftsmen, all of it! Of them, are they saying—Ye sacrificers of men! The Great Calf, shall ye surely kiss!
3 Hiche jeh'a chu, jingkah meibol banga mangthah diu, ni asotengleh mangthah tobang jingkah daitwi hidiu, Changsi huiyin amut teng alenmang tobang, Meikhu, apotna a hungpot doh tobangbep hidiu ahi.
Therefore, shall they become like the morning cloud, and like the dew early departing, —like chaff storm-driven out of the threshing-floor, and like smoke out of a chimney.
4 Keima hi na Pakai na Pathen chu kanahi. Egypt gam'a kon nanapuidoh pachu kahi. Nangman nahet ding chu kei tilou Pathen dang umlou ahi. Hiche jeh'a chu huhhingpu adang umlou ahi nahet ding ahi.
Yet, I, Yahweh, have been thy God from the land of Egypt, —and, god beside me, shalt thou not acknowledge, for, saviour, is there none besides me.
5 Gamthipgama chu kachintup nahiuve, Gamgolah kel leh dangchah nagama chun,

6 Ahinlah naneh tengule nalung lhaijun, nakipa tenguleh nakiletsahun nei sumil ji tauve.
Whenever they were pastured, then were they satisfied, They were satisfied, and their heart, was lifted up, —because of this, they forgat me.
7 Hijeha chu tua hi keipi bahkai kabah ding, Lutnu banga lampama kakisel-a kanga diu,
Therefore am I become to them as a lion, —As a leopard by the way, do I watch.
8 Vompin acha akichom doh banga kachom ding, Nalungchang kabokeh ding, Keipi bahkai gilkel in abotal banga
I will fall upon them as a bear bereaved, and will read asunder the enclosure of their heart, —that I may devour them there, like a lioness, the wild beast of the field, shall tear them in pieces.
9 Nangma ka suhmang dingkon cha nahitai. O Israel, Henge, napanpi jing keimatahin kasuhmang ding nahi.
It hath utterly destroyed thee, O Israel, for it was against me, as thy helper!
10 Tua hi nahuhhing ding nalengpa hoiya umtam? Tuhin nahuh hing tahtao! Tua hi gamsunga milen milal ho chu hoiya umgam hitauvem? Na lengpaule na milen ho chun kei eiholluve.
Where is thy king, then, that he may save thee throughout all thy cities? and thy judges, concerning whom thou saidst, Oh give me a king and rulers?
11 Kalunghan laitahin leng kana peuvin, Kalungat phatin abonchan kaladoh soh tai.
I might give thee a king in mine anger, and take him away in my wrath.
12 Ephraim phatlouna cheng akidong khomin, Chule achonset jouse gotna a dingin akikoi khome.
Bound up, is the iniquity of Ephraim, stored away, his sin.
13 Mipite chunga natna chu hungding ahitan Nao sonat tobang hiding ahi. Amaho chapang tobang ahiuve. Alethuhna ding chu apengtai, Apettaha penna chu ahung lhung tai. Ahinlah amaho chu oisunga umnalai ahiuve.
The pangs of a woman in labour, shall overtake him, —he, is a son, not wise, for, now, he cannot stand still, when children are about to be born.
14 Lhankhuha kona kalhadoh ding ham? Amaho thina-a kona kalhat doh ding ham? Vo thina mamidena chu hoi baham? Vo noimigam, namisuhmangna hoiba hitam? Achunguva lungsetna kakoi lou ding ahiye. (Sheol )
Out of the hand of hades, will I ransom them, out of death, will I redeem them, —Where is thy pestilence, O death? Where thy plague, O hades? Repentance, shall be hid from mine eyes. (Sheol )
15 Ephraim chu asopite ho jouse laha gaso pentah ahi, ahinlah Pakaiya kona hung, neldi gam'a kon hui chun asem gotding ahi. A twisam jouse kangin tin, anei agou jouse jong mangthah ding ahi. Thil manlu anei jouseu chu min achoma akipoh mong ding ahi.
Though, he, among brethren, be fruitful, there shall come in an east wind, the blast of Yahweh out of the desert coming up, that his spring, may dry up, and his fountain, be exhausted, he, will rob the treasure-house of all the vessels of delight.
16 Samaria miten athemmona akipohdiu ahi. Ajeh chu amahon Pakai chu adoudallun ahi. Amaho chu galmi hon atha diu ahi, Achasen jouse jong tollhanga kichil goi ding, Anumei agai jouseu jong agaiju kikhedoh ding ahi.
Samaria, shall be held guilty, for she hath rebelled against her God, By the sword, shall they fall, their infants, shall be dashed to the ground, and, his women with child, shall be ripped up.
