< Hebrew 7 >

1 Hiche Melchizedek hi Salem khopia Leng ahin chule Chungnungpen Pathen thempu ahi. Abraham'in lengho douna agal asat chu ajoa ahung kile chun Melchizedek hin akimupin chule phatthei bohna apen ahi.
For this Melchisedec--king of Salem, Priest of the Most High God, who met Abraham returning from the slaughter of the kings, and blessed him,
2 Chuphat in Abraham'in galsatna a achomkhom jouse lah a hopsoma hopkhat chu Melchizedek apen ahi. Melchizedek kiti min hi “Thutandih Lengpa chule Salem lengpa kiti hi ‘Chamna lengpa,’” kiseina ahi.
to whom Abraham imparted even a tenth of all; being, indeed, by interpretation, first, king of righteousness, and next, also, king of Salem; which, by interpretation, is king of peace--
3 Apa le anu ahilouleh apu apa min kisutna aumpon–apatna umlou, ahilouleh ahinkho kichaina jong aumpoi. Ama tonsot thempu ahin, Pathen Chapa to kilouva ahi.
was without father, without mother, without genealogy, having neither beginnings of days, nor end of life: but, being made like the Son of God, he remains a priest continually.
4 Chuti ahileh hiche Melchizedek hi ichan geiya lena hitam ngaito temin. Israel te mipa, Abraham jaumtahpa chun hiche hi ahet a agalsatnaa athillah hoa kona hopsoma hopkhat apeh jeng hi!
Now, consider how great this priest was, to whom even Abraham, the patriarch, gave a tenth of the spoils.
5 Tun, Mose Dan chun thempuho, Levi son ho, Abraham chilhah jong hiho, chun Israel mipi lah a kona hopsoma khat chu akilah diu angeh in ahi.
For they, indeed, of the sons of Levi, who received the priesthood, have a commandment to tithe people according to the law; that is, their brethren, although they have come forth from the loins of Abraham:
6 Ahin Melchizedek, Levi son hilou chun, Abraham a konin soma khat chu akilah in ahi. Chule Melchizedek chun Pathen thutep ho anachangsa, Abraham chunga phattheina apen ahi.
but he, who did not derive his pedigree from their progenitors, tithed Abraham, and blessed the holder of the promises.
7 Chule kidoh ngailou hel chu phattheina pepa thaneina chu phattheina changpa sanga chungnung joa ahi.
Now, beyond all contradiction, the less is blessed by the greater.
8 Thempuho hopsom donga pangho chu thithei mihem ahiuvin, hiti chun Melchizedek chu amaho sanga chungnungjoa ahi, ijeh inem itileh ama ahing jing ahi.
Besides, here, indeed, men, who die, take tithes; but there one, of whom it is testified that he lives.
9 Hiche banjoma chu, eihon Levi mite som a khat donga pangho chun apuluiyu Abraham'in hopsoma hopkhat anapeh jeh a chu amahon jong Melchizedek chu hopsoma khat chu apeh u ahi.
And, as one may say, even Levi, who receives tithes, was tithed in Abraham:
10 Ijeh ham itileh Levi chu anapen loulai jeng vang chun ama hung kon dohna Abraham tibah a chu uma ahin, hichea chu Melchizedek in amaa hopsoma hopkhat analah ahitai.
for he was yet in the loins of his father, when Melchisedec met him.
11 Hiti chun Levi thempu hina Dana kingapna chun Pathen lunggon chu chamkimsah jou hitaleh Pathen in ipi dia themputna achombeh a Levi le Aaron thalhenga Melchizedek thempuhina tobang chu aphudoh ngaiding ham?
Moreover, if, indeed, perfection were through the Levitical priesthood, (for with it the people received the law, ) what further need was there that another priest should arise, according to the order of Melchisedec, and not be called according to the order of Aaron?
12 Chule thempu hina chu akikhel tah a ahileh phatsahna dan jong chu kikhel ding adoltah ahi.
Wherefore, the priesthood being changed, there is, of necessity, a change also of law.
13 Ijeh ham itileh thempu ikihoulimna dingpau hi phung choma ahin, hiche phunga kona chu thempu natong anaum khaloulai ahi.
For he to whom these things are said, was of a different tribe, of which no one gave attendance at the altar.
14 Keiman kahin seinom chu IPakai chu Judah phunga hungkon ahin, chule Mose chun hiche phunga kona thempu hung umdoh ding anaphapoh hihbeh in ahi.
For it is very plain that our Lord had sprung from Judah, in relation to which tribe Moses spoke nothing concerning priesthood.
15 Hiche kikhelna hi thempu gotchom beh Melchizedek tobang khat hung kilangdoh a ahitai.
Moreover, it is still more plain that, according to the similitude of Melchisedec,
16 Yeshua thempu hina hi tahsalam dol a Levi phunga mihina ngaichatna pachu hitalouvin, suhmangthei hilou hinna thaneina a konjoh hiya ahi.
another priest arises, who is made, not according to the law of a carnal commandment, but according to the power of an endless life.
17 Chule David, Labu jihpan, hiche hi apodoh in, “Nangma tonsot thempu hina Melchizedek a tobang chu nahi,” ati. (aiōn g165)
For he testifies, "Thou art a priest for ever, according to the order of Melchisedec." (aiōn g165)
18 Ahi, thempu hina a kingeh alui chu alhahsama chule pannabei ahitah jeh a achombeh a kikoidoh a ahitai.
Here then, there is a disannulling of the preceding commandment, because of its weakness and unprofitableness--
19 Ijeh ham itileh danthun ima achamkim sahna aumpoi. Hinla tun eihon kinepna phajo ikisonpiuvin, hichea chu eihon Pathen kom inaitheiyu ahi.
(for the law made no one perfect) --and the superinduction of a better hope, by which we draw near to God.
20 Hiche athahbehpa hi kihahselna gimneitah a kibol'a ahi. Aaron son ho chun hiche kihahselna jaotha louva hi thempuna atoh u ahi.
Moreover, inasmuch as not without an oath--
21 Hinlah Yeshua chung chang thua kihahselna khat aumin ahi. Ijeh ham itileh Pathen in ajah a aseijin, “Pakaiyin kihahselna chu akilahtai chule akihahselna chu asuhkeh loubeh ding ahi; Nangma tonsot'a thempu nahitai,” ati. (aiōn g165)
(for they, indeed, were make priests without an oath, but he, with an oath, by him who said to him, "The Lord has sworn, and will not repent, Thou art a priest for ever, according to the order of Melchisedec,") (aiōn g165)
22 Hiche kihahselna jal a hi, Yeshua hin kitepna phajo Pathen to kinei chu aphat atep a panga ahi.
by so much was Jesus made the surety of a better institution.
23 Chonna luinoiya chun thempu tampi anaumuvin, thina chun anatohna muna umden theilouna asodoh u hiya ahi.
Besides, many, indeed, are made priests, because by death they are hindered from continuing:
24 Hinlah Yeshua chu tonsot'a uma ahijeha thempu ahina jong tonsot'a ding ahitai. (aiōn g165)
but he, because he lives for ever, has a priesthood which does not pass from him. (aiōn g165)
25 Hijeh a chu Aman khatveiya le tonsot geiya dinga Ama jal a Pathen kom hinnaiho thalhenga Pathen koma taopeh dinga Aman huhhing jou theina tha anei ahi.
Hence, also, he is for able to save them who come to God through him; always living to make intercession for them.
26 Ama thempu chungnung ingaichat u ahina chu Ama athenga le nolna bei, chonsetnen behlou hel ahi. Ama chonsehoa kona chom uma ahin, chule van mun a jabolna sangtah mun changa ahi.
Now such a High Priest became us; who, being holy, harmless, undefiled, separated from sinners, and made higher than the heavens,
27 Thempu chungnung dang tobang ahiloujeh a niseh a kilhaina thilto abol ngaitalou ahi. Amaho chun amasapen tah a amaho chonset jeh a chule aban'a midangho chonsetna jeh a kilhaina asemjiu ahi.
has not, like the high priests, need, from time to time, to offer sacrifices, first for his own sins, then for those of the people; for this latter he did once, when he offered himself up.
28 Danthu chun thempu chung nungho alhendoh jiho chu mihem lhahsam jal a ahi. Hinla Danthu kipehdoh jou nunga chu Pathen in Achapa chu kihahsel puma alhendoh a, chule Achapa chu Tonsot themput chungnung chamkima asem ahitai. (aiōn g165)
For the law constitutes men high priests, who have infirmity; but the word of the oath, which was since the law, constituted the Son, who is perfected for evermore. (aiōn g165)
