< Hebrew 4 >

1 Acholdona a lut ding thua Pathen kitepna tuchanin adingjing nalaiye. Hijeh a chu, nalah uva mi phabep khattou chuche thutep chu tepkhalou ding naum khahdiu kichatna a eiho kichatah le kithing puma iumdiu ahi.
Let us be on our guard, then, though there is a promise still standing of being admitted to his rest, lest any one of you should be found to have come short of it.
2 Ijeh inem itileh hiche Kipana Thupha Pathen in kicholdona a asem hi-amaho koma akiphongdoh ahitah banga eiho koma jong kiphongdoh a ahitai. Hinla amahon aphatchompi pouve, ajeh chu amahon Pathen sei ngaiho tahsan chu akikoppi pouve.
For the Good News is come to us just as it did to them. But the message they heard was of no benefit to them, because they did not share the faith of those who gave heed to it.
3 Ajeh chu eiho atahsan ho hi acholngahna a lutthei ihiuve. Hinla adangho dingin vang Pathen in, “Kalunghanna a kahahsel ahi: Amaho kacholdona a lutlouhel ding ahiuve,” ati. Hiche cholngahna hi vannoi asemlaiya pat a gotsa akoi ahivangin.
We are actually entering into that rest, we who have believed, as God has said, -In my wrath I swore - "They shall not enter into my Rest," although his works were finished since the foundation of the world.
4 Hiche hi gotsa koi ahi ti ihetnau ajeh chu Pathen Thubu munkhat'ah ni sagi thudol hitihin akisune, “Ni sagi nin Pathen anatoh na jousea konin akicholdo tai.”
For he has said, somewhere, regarding the seventh day, And God rested on the seventh day from all his work.
5 Hinlah munchom khatma ah Pathen in, “Amaho kacholdona muna lutlouhel dingu ahi,” ati.
And again in this passage, They shall not enter into my rest.
6 Hiti chun Pathen choldona chu miho luttheina dingin aume, hinla hiche Kipana Thupha jamasaho chun Pathen sei angailou jeh uchun alut theitapouve.
Since, then, it remains that some should enter into it, and since those who formerly had the Good News preached to them did not enter in because of unbelief,
7 Hiti chun Pathen in acholdona a luttheina dingin phat chomkhat agonpeh in, chule hiche phat chu tunihi ahi. Pathen in hiche hi David a konin khonung in anaphongdoh in, “Tunia Ama aw najah tengleh, nalung tahsah hih un,” atikit in ahi.
he again fixes a day, saying long afterward by David’s lips, in words already quoted, Today if you hear his voice, Continue not to harden your hearts.
8 Tun Joshua chun hiche choldona hi ananeisah ahitah leh, Pathen in choldona nikhochom hung lhung nalaiding aseitahlou ding ahi.
For if Joshua had given them rest, he would not have spoken afterward of another day.
9 Hijeh a chu, Pathen mite dinga choldona chombeh khat nga jing ding umnalai ahi.
So there remains a Sabbath Rest for the people of God.
10 Ijeh ham itileh Pathen in vannoi asemjouva acholdo banga chu, Pathen cholngahnaa lut ho chu atohgimnauva kona choldoa ahitauve.
For whoever has entered into his rest has rested from his works, just as God did from his.
11 Hiti ahijeh chun ijochanun chuche cholngahna a chu lutding kiseh u hite. Hinla eihon Israel mite banga Pathen sei ingailou uleh ilhuh diu ahi.
Let us, then, be earnest to enter into that rest, so that no one may fall into the same example of disobedience.
12 Ijeh ham itileh Pathen Thuhi ahinga le thaneitah ahi. Hemto chemjam ahempen sanga jong hemjoa ahin, hinna le lhagao chule gukisuhtona le lhin jong sukhen thei ahi.
For living is the Word of God, and active, and sharper than any two- edged sword, piercing even to the severance of soul form spirit, of both joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the very thoughts and conceptions of the heart.
13 Thilsem jouse lah a imacha Pathena kona kiselthei aumpoi. Ijakai amitmua sagohkeo chule kihongsa ahi, chule Ama ichonnau jouse sutoh dingpa chu hiya ahi.
And there is not a creature hidden form him, but all things are naked and laid prostrate before the eyes of him with whom we have to do.
14 Hiti chun eihon Thempu chungnung, Pathen Chapa Yeshua, van mun galut ah, chu ineiyu ahitah jeh in, Ama itahsanu hi kolchah jingu hite.
Inasmuch, then, as we have a great High Priest, Jesus, the Son of God, who has passed through the heavens, let us hold fast our confession of faith.
15 Hiche ithempu Chungnung uhi ilhahsamnau hethem tah ahi, ajeh chu Aman eiho banga patepna jouse ato ahin, ahivangin chonselou ahiye.
For we have not a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but one who has been tempted in all points like as we are, yet without sin.
16 Hiti ahijeh chun eilungset uva IPathenu Laltouna a chun lung ngamtah in hungu hite. Chukoma chu eihon hepina le ingaichat khoh dehset tenguleh lungsetna panpina imu diu ahi.
Let us, then, draw near with glad boldness to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy, and find grace to help us in our times of need.
