< Habakkuk 1 >

1 Hiche hi Habakkuk themgaovin thilmu aneina thudol ahi.
The burden that Habacuc the prophet saw.
2 Vo PAKAI, itihchan geija panpi ngaichaa kakou kou di hitam? Hinla nangin nei ngaipeh poi! “Muntina nosopma kibolna aum tai!” Ka kap in, hinla eipanhu dingin na hungpoi.
How long, O Lord, shall I cry, and thou wilt not hear? shall I cry out to thee suffering violence, and thou wilt not save?
3 Hiche gitlou kibol hohi kavet vet jing ding hitam? Hiche gim gentheina ho jouse hi ibol’a kavet vet jeng ding ham? Keiman kavet chanin mahthahna le nosopma kibolna hobou ka mudoh’e. Mi nelkal hat ho leh kinahpia hat mihonpi chun eihin umkimvel tauve.
Why hast thou shewn me iniquity and grievance, to see rapine and injustice before me? and there is a judgment, but opposition is more powerful.
4 Dan hi donlou tobangbep chu ahitai, chule thutanna munho’a jong thudih umtalou ahi. Migilou ho chun midih ho sanga gamchenga atamjoh jeh-uvin, thudih chu heikoija um bepma ahitai.
Therefore the law is torn in pieces, and judgment cometh not to the end: because the wicked prevaileth against the just, therefore wrong judgment goeth forth.
5 Pakai chun adonbut in, “Chitin namtin ho khu gahven chuleh kidangsa temin! Ajeh chu keiman nangma nikho laiya hi thilkhat kahin boldoh ding, mi koiham khattouvin seijongleh na tahsan louhel ding chu kahinbol ding ahije.
Behold ye among the nations, and see: wonder, and be astonished: for a work is done in your days, which no man will believe when it shall be told.
6 Keiman Babylon mite ho, giloutah le nosopma mibol ho chu ka hin tundoh ding ahi. Amahon vannoi muntin apaltan’uva kijotle ding’u chule gam dang tampi ahinjo dingu ahi.
For behold, I will raise up the Chaldeans, a bitter and swift nation, marching upon the breadth of the earth, to possess the dwelling places that are not their own.
7 Amaho hi gitlou abol nauva engsetah’a chonna ahiuvin, chutia abolnom chengseu chu abol’u ahi.
They are dreadful, and terrible: from themselves shall their judgment, and their burden proceed.
8 Sakol aneihou jong lutnu sangin alhai hatjouvin, khomu chipchep a ngeihon lhakhom sangin jong ahoise jouve. Sakol kangtalaija touho chun gamlataha konin a sakol ho’u chu ahin thunun jeng uvin; Muvanlai lengle hon a anchah’u abokhumuva avallhum jiu kisei tobang ahiuve.
Their horses are lighter than leopards, and swifter than evening wolves; and their horsemen shall be spread abroad: for their horsemen shall come from afar, they shall fly as an eagle that maketh haste to eat.
9 Oh, ahung tauve, abonchauvin nosopma boldin akunsuh tauve. A gancha hon hou jong chu nelphaija hui bangin ahung kitol’un, amasanguva asohchang ho’u ahin masot hou chu neldi tamin atam jeng uvin ahi.
They shall all come to the prey, their face is like a burning wind: and they shall gather together captives as the sand.
10 Amahon leng ho le leng chapate ho chu isahlou tah'in abolun, chule akulpi ho jouse chu isah loutahin aboluve.
And their prince shall triumph over kings, and princes shall be his laughingstock: and he shall laugh at every strong hold, and shall cast up a mount, and shall take it.
11 Amaho chu hui nung bangin akitolun chule achemang tauve. Hinla amaho sungil’a themona nei ahiuve, athahat uchu pathena nei ahiuve.”
Then shall his spirit be changed, and he shall pass, and fall: this is his strength of his god.
Wast thou not from the beginning, O Lord my God, my holy one, and we shall not die? Lord, thou hast appointed him for judgment: and made him strong for correction.
13 Nangma hila athenga nahin chule agilou chu n maikoh a umtheilou ahi. Chuti ahileh amaho do’ha joulhepna namitsat ding hijaham? Mi engsete chun asanguva chonphajo avallhumu jongleh thipbeh a naum ding hitam?
Thy eyes are too pure to behold evil, and thou canst not look on iniquity. Why lookest thou upon them that do unjust things, and holdest thy peace when the wicked devoureth the man that is more just than himself?
14 Keiho hi ahinga kimandoh dinga le akithat dinga kiman ho tobangbep kahiuvem? Kei ho hi twikhanglen na um ganhing ho lamkai bei tobangbep ka hiuvem?
And thou wilt make men as the fishes of the sea, and as the creeping things that have no ruler.
15 Amaho kipanaa le golnop bolna dinguva, ngakoija eiki khaidoh dinga chuleh lensunga ohden bep ding bou kahi dingu hitam?
He lifted up all them with his hook, he drew them in his drag, and gathered them into his net: for this he will be glad and rejoice.
16 Chuteng leh amahon lenthang anei hou chu Pathen tobang'in houvun tin, chuleh amasanguva chun gimnamtwi halna nei uvinte. Amaho chun, “Hiche lenthang pathen hohin keiho eihaodoh sah’u ahi” ati ding’u ahi.
Therefore will he offer victims to his drag, and he will sacrifice to his net: because through them his portion is made fat, and his meat dainty.
17 Nangman ama ho hi hiti dinmuna hi nasolmangpai pai ding ham? Amaho hi phottohna beihella agaljouva hi i-tiha maipah jing dingu hitam?
For this cause therefore he spreadeth his net, and will not spare continually to slay the nations.
