And Jacob he went to way his and they met him [the] angels of God.

And he said Jacob just when he saw them [is] [the] camp of God this and he called [the] name of the place that Mahanaim.

And he sent Jacob messengers before him to Esau brother his [the] land of towards Seir [the] region of Edom.

And he commanded them saying thus you will say! to lord my to Esau thus he says servant your Jacob with Laban I have sojourned and I have delayed until now.

And it be[longs] to me ox[en] and donkey[s] flock[s] and [male] servant[s] and female servant[s] and I have sent! to tell to lord my to find favor in view your.

And they returned the messengers to Jacob saying we went to brother your to Esau and also [he is] coming to meet you and four hundred man [are] with him.
7 Ahin Jacob chu hiche thu ajah chun akicha lheh tan, hichun aman a insung mite ahin, gancha kelngoi ho jouse ahin, keltah ho se chule sangongsao hose ahin hop nin ahom khen in ahiye.
And he was afraid Jacob exceedingly and it was distress to him and he divided the people which [was] with him and the flock and the herd and the camels into two camps.
8 Jacob in hitin agel lin, “Esau vin honkhat chu ahung bulu tah jongle honkhat pa beh asocha theiye,” ati.
And he said if he will come Esau to the camp one and he will attack it and it will become the camp which remains an escaped remnant.
9 Hichun Jacob ataovin, “Vo kapu Abraham Pathen, kapa Isaac Pathen, O ka Pakai, “Nagam langa ki nungle kit tan, na sopite lah atin neina houlim pin, keiman nang ding in aphat phat nan bol peh nang'e, tia seiya chu nang ma nahi.
And he said Jacob O God of father my Abraham and [the] God of father my Isaac O Yahweh who said to me return to land your and to kindred your so let me do good with you.

I am [too] insignificant for all the covenant loyalti and for all the faithfulness which you have done with servant your for with staff my I passed over the Jordan this and now I have become two camps.

Female goats two hundred and male goats twenty ewes two hundred and rams twenty.
15 Sangongsao pi som thum toh, anoute se toh, bongpi somli toh, bongchal som toh, sanganpi somni toh, chule sangan chal som toh alheng doh e.
Camels suckling and young their thirty cows forty and bulls ten female donkeys twenty and male donkeys ten.
16 Hichun Jacob in hiche gancha ho chu hopni in ahom in amaho vekol ding chun soh khat cheh anganse in, hichun asoh ho jah a hitin aseiye, “Nanghon hiche gancha hotoh hin keima masanglam a che tauvin Hinlah gancha hon teni kikah a chun mun ong umsah un,” ati.
And he gave [them] in [the] hand of servants his herd herd to only it and he said to servants his pass over before me and a space you will put between a herd and between a herd.
17 Hichun ama hon lamkaipa jah achun hitin aseiye, “ka sopipa Esau to na kimuto lhon teng aman thu na hin doh teng, nangho hi hoilam jon ding na hiuvem? chule nangho koi gam mi na hiuham? tua gancha ho ahung masa ho chu koiya ham? ahin ti teng leh,
And he commanded the first saying that he will meet you Esau brother my and he will ask you saying [belong] to whom? you and where? are you going and [belong] to whom? these [animals] before you.

And you will say to servant your to Jacob [is] a gift it [which has] been sent to lord my to Esau and there! also he [is] behind us.
19 Hiti chun Jacob in soh masa pa athuhil bang chun anina pa ahin, athum napa geiyin gancha ho vetup lamkai jouse chu asei peh cheh tan, “Esau toh nakimu to tengu le na thusei hou chu ki bang cheh ding ahi.”
And he commanded both the second as well as the third as well as all who were going behind the herds saying according to the manner this you will speak! to Esau when find you him.
20 Chujong le vetan na sohpa Jacob jong kei ho nunga ahung'e,’ tia na seipeh ding'u ahi,” atin ahi. Ijeh inem itile Jacob gel a chu, “Ka masanga kitol thilpeh chengse hin ama jol lung dam thei khat ingting, ajou teng amai kamu thei ding ahi; ijem atile bon eina sang jeng khat inte,” tia angaito ahi.
And you will say also there! servant your Jacob [is] behind us for he said I will cover face his by the gift that is going before me and after thus I will see face his perhaps he will lift up face my.
21 Jacob in ngailut thilpeh ho chu ache masang in asol tan ahi, amavang hiche mun achun ajan geh in akhovah den tai.
And it passed on the gift on face his and he [was] staying [the] night in the night that in the camp.
22 Hiche jan chun Jacob in ajite ni chule asoh teni chule achate pasal som le khat chu athoudoh tan Jabbok vadung chu agal kai pitan ahi.
And he rose - in the night that and he took [the] two wives his and [the] two maidservants his and one [plus] ten sons his and he passed over [the] ford of Jabbok.
23 Hichun Jacob in amaho chutoh vadung agalkai phat chun anei agou jouse toh asol tan ahi.
And he took them and he sent over them the wadi and he sent over [that] which [belonged] to him.

And he said to him what? [is] name your and he said Jacob.
28 Mihem pa chun adonbut in, “Na min hi Jacob hitalou ding, tua patna Israel kiti ding nahitai. Ajeh chu nangma Pathen to na kibot in jong na hat in, mihemte jong na hinjo ding ahi,” atipeh e.
And he said not Jacob it will be called again name your that except Israel for you have struggled with God and with people and you have prevailed.
29 Jacob in adong in, “Lungset tah in na min neisei peh in,” ati, mipa chun adonbut in, “Ibola kamin chu nahet nom ham,” ati. Hichun aman Jacob chu hilai mun a chun phatthei abohtan ahi.
And he asked Jacob and he said tell! please name your and he said why? this do you ask to name my and he blessed him there.
30 Hichun Jacob in hiche mun chu Peniel asahtai. “Ajeh chu keiman Pathen kaki maito pitan chule kahin kho jong ei huhdoh peh in ahi.”
And he called Jacob [the] name of the place Peniel for I have seen God face to face and it has been delivered life my.
31 Jacob in Peniel adalhah chun nisa ahung soh dohtan ahi, ajeh chu akonggu anat jeh ahi.
And it rose to him the sun just when he passed over Penuel and he [was] limping on thigh his.
32 Hiche jeh chun tuni geihin Israel chaten akonggu to kijop matna khelgu hon sunga thapigui hi anepouve; ipijeh inem itile aman Jacob konggu hom sunga thapigui ana hebal peh in ahi.
There-fore not they eat [the] people of Israel [the] sinew of the tendon which [is] on [the] socket of the thigh until the day this for he touched [the] socket of [the] thigh of Jacob [the] sinew of the tendon.
