1 Hiti chun van le leiset chule asunga thil umjouse chu loupi tah a sem chai ahi tai.
Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and all their vast array.
2 Hichun ni sagi lhin nin Pathen in athilsem chu aboncha achaiyin, hiti chun a thilsem ho jouse akon in ama akicholdo tai.
And on the sixth day God finished his works which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his works which he had made.
3 Hiche ni sagi lhinni chu Pathen in phatthei aboh in chule atheng ahi tin aphongdoh tai, ajeh chu athilsem le anatoh jousea kon'a akicholdo ni ahi.
So God blessed the seventh day, and made it holy, because he rested on it from all his works which God had created and made.
4 Hiche hi van le leiset ahung kisemdoh a akhanggui hung kipatdoh dan ho chu hiti hi ana hi. Pakai Pathen in leiset le van ahinsem patni chun.
This is the account of the heavens and of the earth when they were created, at the time when God made the earth and the heavens.
5 Leiset chunga tollhang a jong hamphung keh doh loulai ahi, ajeh chu Pathen in gotwi leiset chunga ajuhsah loulai ahin chule hia chu koima natong ding umlou lai ana hi.
Now no bush of the field was yet in the land, and no plant of the field had yet sprouted; for God had not caused it to rain on the land, and there were no people to cultivate the ground,
6 Ahin leiset'a kon in twimei a hung kaiyin chule leichung jouse chu twiyin achapnou vin ahi.
but springs came up from the earth and watered the whole surface of the ground.
7 Chuin Pakai Pathen in leichunga kon in vutvai achun mihem asemin, chule a nahhom'a hinna hu alhakhum a ahile mihem chu hinna nei ahung hitai.
And God formed man from the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living being.
8 Chuphat in Pathen injong niso lama Eden hon aphut dohin hiche achun asem sa mihem chu akoi tai.
And God planted a garden eastward, in Eden, and there he put the man whom he had formed.
9 Chuin Pakai Pathen in leichung a kon in vetnom nom umle neh ding thingga namkim akedoh sah in ahi, chule honlai lung'a chun hinna thingphung jong chule ase le apha hetna thing-phung jong akesah in ahi.
And out of the ground God made every tree to grow that is pleasant to the sight, and good for food; the tree of life also in the middle of the garden, and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.
10 Hiche Eden hon'a kon chun honlei chapnou jing ding in vadung along in, vadung chu vadung li in ahung long khen'in vadung li asohdoh e.
And a river went out of Eden to water the garden; and from there it separated and became the source of four rivers.
11 Vadung khatna chu ahile Pishon ahin, hiche chu sana kimuna vadung ahin Havilah gam pumpia long kimvel ahi.
The name of the first is Pishon; this is the one which goes around the whole land of Havilah, where there is gold;
12 Hiche gam'a sana kimu ho chu ahoi thei lheh in a namtwi jah nom umtah chule song namtwi jong akimui.
and the gold of that land is good. There is aromatic resin and the onyx stone.
13 Vadung ni lhinna chu amin Gihon ahin, hiche vadung chu Cush gam pumpia long kimvel ahi.
And the name of the second river is Gihon; it goes around the whole land of Cush.
14 Vadung thum lhinna chu ahile Haddekel ahin, hiche vadung hin sah solam gam'a Asshur gam pumpia long ahin, chule vadung li lhinna chu Euphrates ahi.
And the name of the third river is Hiddekel; this is the one which flows east of Ashur. And the fourth river is the Perath.
15 Chuin Pakai Pathen in amisem dohpa chu Eden hon sunga apuilut in hiche hon'a natong ding le avetup ding in apansah tai.
And God took the man, and put him into the garden of Eden to cultivate it and take care of it.
16 Ahin Pathen in mipa koma athupeh chu, “Nang man hiche honsunga theiga ho khu nadei dei naneh thei cheh ahi.
And God commanded the man, saying, "Of every tree of the garden you may freely eat;
17 Hinlah nangman hon lailung'a ase le apha hetna theiga vang naneh lou beh ding, hichu naneh nini, na thitei tei ding,’’ ahi.
but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, you shall not eat of it; for in the day that you eat of it you will surely die."
18 Chujong le Pakai Pathen in aseiye, “Mihempa achanga a-umhi apha poi hijeh chun keiman a umkhom pi ding khat sempeh ing kate,’’ ati.
And God said, "It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him a helper suitable for him."
19 Chuin Pakai Pathen in leivui chu leingan a sosah in chu in leichunga ganhing namkim asem in chule vacha ho chung lam'a alensah in chuin hiche ho jouse hi amin ipi pi asah em tin mihempa kom'a ahinpui khom in hiche a mihem pan amin vo najouse chu tuni geia amin a pangden ahi tai.
And out of the ground God formed every tame animal, and every wild animal, and every flying creature of the sky, and brought them to the man to see what he would call them. And whatever the man called each living creature, that was its name.
20 Hiti chun mihempa in ganhing namkim chu aminvo cheh in chunga lengthei vachate ahin, chule loujaova sahang jouse jong aminvo soh keiyin ahin mihempa kithopi ding akimu doh hih laiye.
And the man gave names to all the tame animals, and to all the flying creatures of the sky, and to every wild animal; but for Adam there was not found a helper suitable for him.
21 Hijeh chun Pakai Pathen in mihempa chu a imut-mil sah in a imut-mil kah chun Pathen in anahgu khat aladoh in anung chu aphe in atom jol peh in ahi.
So God caused a deep sleep to fall on the man, and he slept; and he took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh at that place.
22 Chuin Pakai Pathen in Adam nahgu a lah doh'a kon chun numei khat asemdoh in amanu chu Adam kom'a ahin puilut in ahi.
And the rib that God had taken from the man he fashioned into a woman and brought her to the man.
23 Hichun mihempan aseiye, “Amanu hi keima gu akon'a kisemdoh ahin, chule aphevou jang jong keima phevou ahin, amanu hi tu apat'a numei kiti ding ahi, ajeh chu amanu hi pasal'a kona kiladoh ahi,” ati.
And the man said, "This at last is bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh. She will be called Woman, because this one was taken out of Man."
24 Hijeh a chu pasal in anu le apa a dalhah a aji numei'a beh ding chule amani chu tipum khat kiti lhon ding ahiye.
Therefore a man will leave his father and his mother, and will join with his wife, and the two will become one flesh.
25 Ahin hichepet chun pasalpa ahin numeinu ahin ani gel lhon a sagoh keuva um lhon ahin, ahi vang'in jachat na anei lhon pon ahi.
And they were both naked, the man and his wife, and were not ashamed.
