< Galatia 3 >
1 Vo Galatia mingol ho! Ipi doi le aiyin thilse lama dia nalhim uham? Ijeh ham itileh Yeshua Christa thingpel chunga athi lim chu atah a namu u tobang leuva kichen tah a nakihet chet sah'u ahitai.
O foolish Galatians, who has bewitched you? You, before whose very eyes Jesus Christ was placarded as crucified!
2 Hiche thudoh pen hi kahin dong uve: Lhagao Theng nachanu chu Mose Dan najui jalu hiya ham? Ahi hihbeh e! Nanghon Lhagao Theng nachanu chu Christa thudol kisei chu najah jalu ahiye.
Answer me this one question. "When you received the Spirit, was it from doing what the Law commands or from believing the message heard?"
3 Ichan gei loma phottohna bei nahiu ahitadem? Lhagaova Christian hinkho najotpat nauva hi itidan a mihem nakihabol vang uva chamkim dinga nakigelu hintem?
Are you so without sense? After beginning with the Spirit, will you now end with the flesh?
4 Kipana Thupha jal'in nathoh genthei lheh jengui. Atahbeh in mohjen seh hiponte, dihnam? Nanghon tua hi aboncha na paidoh got u hitam?
Did you have such experience to no purpose - if indeed it was really to no purpose?
5 Nanghon Danthu najui jeh uva chu Pathen in Lhagao Theng napeh uva chule nalah uva thil kidang aboldoh hiya ham? Ahidehpoi! Ajeh chu Christa thudol kithuhilna chu nanghon na tahsan tauve.
Does he then who supplies you with his Spirit and works miracles among you, do it because you do what the law commands of because you believe the message heard?
6 Hitobangma chun, “Abraham'in Pathen atahsanin chule Pathen in Ama chu atahsan jal'in chonphan asemtai.”
Even as Abraham believed God and it was counted to him for righteousness?
7 Abraham chate dihtah ho chu Pathen a atahsan ngamdet ho ahiuve.
Notice then that the true sons of Abraham are children of faith.
8 Ipi ngaibem, Pathen in chidang namdang ho chu atahsan jal uva chonpha ahi tia aphondohna dinga hiche phat chu Pathen Thubun anagaldot sa ahitai. Pathen in hiche Kipana Thupha hi masang peh a ana thutepsa chu, “Nanga kona namtin phatthei chang ding ahi,” kitia anahisa ahi.
And the Scripture, anticipating God’s justification of the Gentiles by faith, announced the gospel to Abraham beforehand in the words, In thee shall all the Gentiles be blessed.
9 Hijeh chun Christaa atahsan ngamlha ho jouse chu Abraham tahsan jal'a phatthei achanna chu chang ding ahiuve.
So then they who are children of faith are blessed with Abraham the faithful;
10 Hinlah danthua kisonga Pathen to kilungtona hol ho chu Agaosapna chang ding ahi, ajeh chu Pathen Thun, “Pathen Dan lekhabua kisun thupeh jouse juiya chule nitsoh keilou chu koi hijongleh gaosap chang ahi,” ati.
but a curse rests on those who have their root in the works of the Law; for it is written. Cursed is every one that continues not in all the things written in the Book of the Law, to do them.
11 Hiti chun koima chan Danthu jui jeh a Pathen lungtona aneijou ding ahipoi ti akichen'e. Ajeh chu Pathen Thubun asei, “Tahsan vanga michonpha chun hinna anei ahi,” ati.
And it is manifest that by the Law no man is justified in the sight of God. because The just shall live by faith,
12 Hiche tahsanna lampi hi Danthu juina lampi to kikhetah ahi, ajeh chu danthu chun, “Danjui vanga mi khat'in hinna anei ahi” kitia ahi.
and the Law has nothing to do with faith, but declares, The man that has done these things shall live therein.
13 Hinlah Christan Danin gaosapna aphondoh a kona eihuhdoh u ahitai. Ama thingpel chunga akikhetbeh pet a chu, Aman achunga gaosap ichanna diu chu akilah ahitai. Ajehchu Pathen Thun hitin aseiye, “Thing chunga kikhaisang a chu koi hijongleh gaosap changa ahi” ati.
Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the Law by becoming a curse for us (for it is written, Cursed is every one who is hanged upon a tree),
14 Christa Yeshua jal'a Pathen in chidang namdang ho chu Abraham phatthei abohna mama a chu phatthei aboh ahi, hitia hi eiho atahsan ho hin tahsan vanga Lhagao Theng athutep hi ichan diu hiya ahi.
to the end that in Christ Jesus the blessing of Abraham might come upon the Gentiles, so that through faith we might receive the promised Spirit.
15 Kasopi deitahteho, hichea hin nitin hinkhoa dinga vetsahna khat aume. Koiman kinoptona umsa khelthei hilou chu amoh kahlhah theipon ahilouleh asempha theipoi. Hiche jong hi hitima chu ahi.
Let me illustrate, brothers, from every-day life. When once a human testament is made, and formally ratified, no one sets it aside or adds to it.
16 Pathen in Abraham le acha chu thutep ho anape e. Chule hetding chu Pathen Thubu chun “Achateho” tia achilhah tamtah koma athutep bangin aseipoi. Chusangin, “Achapa koma” atin-hichu Christa kiseina ahi.
Now it was to Abraham that the promises were spoken, and to his offspring. God did not say, "offsprings" as if speaking of many, but "and to your offspring," as of one; and this is Christ.
17 Keiman kasei got chu hiche ahi: Pathen in Abraham to akitepna chu kum jali le somthum jouvin Pathen in Mose Danthu apeh geiyin jong ima hilouvin akikoi theipoi. Chutile Pathen in athutep chu asuhkeh hiding ahitai.
I mean to say that the testament which God has already ratified could not be annulled by the Law which came four hundred and thirty years later, so as to make the Promise void.
18 Ajehchu goulo ding chu Danthu jui jal'a kinei ding hitahen lang hileh, Pathen thutep kisan jal hitalou ding ahi. Hinla Pathen in lungset them ahina jal'a Abraham athutep hiya ahi.
For if the inheritance comes from law, it no longer comes from a promise; but God did give it as a free gift to Abraham by a promise.
19 Chuti ahile Danthu chu ipi jeh a kipea hintem? Hiche kipeh lona jeh chu thutep toh kilhon a miho chu achonset'u mudoh sahna ding ahiye. Hinlah Danthu kipeh chu thutep Chapa chu ahung kahsea dinga bou kipe'ah ahi. Pathen in Danthu hi vantil hoa kona Mose khut a apeh ahin, ama chu Pathen le mihemte kah a palaija panga ahi.
To what purpose, then, was the Law? It was imposed later for the sake of transgressions, until the "Offspring" should come to whom the promise had been made. It was arranged through angels by the hand of a mediator.
20 Tua Palai hi khatseh sanga akalval aumtheile kinoptona chu adetsah cheh ahi. Hinlah Pathen hi khatseh ahin, Abraham athutep chun palai khat jong amangpoi.
(Now a mediator implies more than one person, but God is only one.)
21 Chuti ahileh Pathen Danthu le Pathen Athutep kikah a akikalna ipi umem? Aum hihbeh e! Danthun hinkho thah eipehtheiyu hihen lang hileh, hichu juijal a eihon Pathen to kilungtona ineithei dingu ahitai.
Is the Law then opposed to the promises of God? Certainly not; for if a law had been given which could make alive, then righteousness would actually have come from law;
22 Hinlah Pathen Thubun aphongdoh in, eiho jouse chonset a sohchang ihiuvin, Yeshua Christa tahsan jal a bou Pathen thutep chamlhatna chu changa ihiuve.
but the Scripture has shut up the whole world in prison together under sin, in order that the promise due to faith in Jesus Christ might be given to those who have faith.
23 Christaa tahsanna lampi inei masang uvin eiho hi Danthu noiya vettup a uma inahi uve. Eiho hi huhbitna kul sunga chu tahsanna lampi ahung kilahdoh masangsea uma inahiu ahi.
Before the Faith came we were perpetual prisoners under the Law, in preparation for the destined faith about to be revealed.
24 Lamchom jep in hinsei inge. Christa hung masangsea hi Danthu chu eipuihoiyuva panga anahin, tahsan vanga Pathen to kilungtona inei masang seuva dinga eihuhbit uva panga ahi.
So the Law has been our tutor-slave our pedagogue to lead us to Christ, so that we may be justified by faith;
25 Tun tahsanna lampi chu hunga ahitan, eipuihoi ding uvin Danthu chu ingai chatbe tapouve.
but now that the Faith is come, we are no longer under a tutor-slave.
26 Ajeh iham itileh Christa Yeshua na tahsan jal uva nabon chauva Pathen chate nahisoh keiyu ahi.
You are all sons of God through your faith in Jesus Christ.
27 Chule Christa to baptize chang'a kigomkhom ho chun, vonthah kivon tobanga Christa chu akivon u ahitai.
For all of you who were baptized into Christ, have clothed yourselves with Christ.
28 Juda mi ahilouleh chidang namdang aum chom tapoi, sohchang ahilou leh chamlhat, pasal le numei aumdeh tapoi. Ajeh iham itileh nangho nabon chauva Christa Yeshua a khat nahi tauve.
In him there is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is no male and female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus.
29 Chule tun nangho Christaa nahi tauvin, Abraham chate tahbeh nahiuve. Nangho agoulo ding nahiuvin, chule Abraham henga Pathen thutep chu nanghoa ahitai.
And if you belong to Christ, then you are the descendants of Abraham, heirs according to the promise.
