15 Keiman sohchanga konna hungdoh hochu Ahava canal munnah kakhomin hichea chun nithum kageh un, hichea chun keiman mipiho toh thempu hichelai mun hung lhung hochu kakhol in ahileh Levi te khatcha jong ahung pangpoi ti keiman kamudoh in ahi.
And I assembled them at the river that runneth to Ahava; and there we abode in tents three days: and I viewed the people, and the priests, and found there none of the sons of Levi.
16 Hijeh chun keiman alamkai hou Eliezer, Ariel, Shemiah, Elnathan, Jarib, Nathan, Elnathan, Zechariah leh Meshullam kaga koush in, chuleh Joiarib leh Elnathan jong kakousah in ahi, ajeh chu amani hi thumop them ahilhone.
Then sent I for Eliezer, for Ariel, for Shemaiah, and for Elnathan, and for Jarib, and for Elnathan, and for Nathan, and for Zechariah, and for Meshullam, chief men; also for Joiarib, and for Elnathan, men of understanding.
17 Chuleh keiman Casiphia mun aum Levite lamkai Iddo komma chun mi kasolin amite ainsung mite leh Houin lhachaho komma chu Jerusalem ma Pathen houin lhacha sunga lhacha a pang ding mi ahinsol diuvin, ngehna nei ding in kasoltai.
And I sent them with commandment to Iddo the chief at the place Casiphia, and I told them what they should say to Iddo, [and] to his brethren the Nethinims, at the place Casiphia, that they should bring to us ministers for the house of our God.
18 Ka Pathen u khotona khut chun eipuihoi jeh un, amahon Sherebiah kitipa achate le asopite somle get eihin solpeh un ahi. Amachu Israel chapa Levi chilhah ho lah a Mahli chilhah minasatah khat ahi.
And by the good hand of our God upon us they brought us a man of understanding, of the sons of Mahli, the son of Levi, the son of Israel; and Sherebiah, with his sons and his brethren, eighteen;
19 Amahon Merari chilhah holah a kon’in Hashabiah chule Jeshaiah toh ahinsol thauvin chuleh achate le asopite somni jong ahin sollun chuleh
And Hashabiah, and with him Jeshaiah of the sons of Merari, his brethren and their sons, twenty;
20 Houin lhacha jani le somni jong ahin sol thauvin ahi.
Also of the Nethinims, whom David and the princes had appointed for the service of the Levites, two hundred and twenty Nethinims: all of them were expressed by name.
21 Hichun hichelai Ahava twilam mun’ah hin ka Pathen’u angsung’ah eyhole keiho kisunem tah a kabon chauva an-ngolla taoding in thupeh kaneijin ahi. Hiche kataonao chu ahileh, kakholjin naova hi keihole kachateo chuleh kathilkeo hotoh eipuihoi nadiuvin kataovun ahi.
Then I proclaimed a fast there, at the river Ahava, that we might afflict ourselves before our God, to seek of him a right way for us, and for our little ones, and for all our substance.
22 Ajeh chu keiman lampi dung’a melmate a konna eihongbit diuva lengpa komma sepai leh sakol chungtou sepai thum ding chu jachat um kasan ahi. Ajeh chu keiman lengpa komma chun, “Ka Pathen’u hin ama houte chu abanthahat’in ahongbit nin, amavang ama donlouva koite vang alunghanna hoisetah chun asugim jin ahi,” tia kana seidoh tan ahi.
For I was ashamed to require of the king a band of soldiers and horsemen to help us against the enemy in the way: because we had spoken to the king, saying, The hand of our God [is] upon all them for good that seek him; but his power and his wrath [is] against all them that forsake him.
23 Hijeh chun keihon ka Pathen’un kataonao sana eihoi bitna diuvin an-ngol pummin lunggil tah in kataovun ahileh aman kataonao eisanpeh un ahi.
So we fasted and besought our God for this: and he was entreated by us.
24 Keiman thempu lah a kon’in lamkai somleni Sherebiah leh Hoshabiah chuleh thempu dang som chu kalhengdoh in mopohna panmun kanapen ahi.
Then I separated twelve of the chief of the priests, Sherebiah, Hashabiah, and ten of their brethren with them,
25 Ama hochun sana, dangka, sana khon holeh thilkeo dangho toh lengpa le a athumop them a vaihom hon Pathen houin na koiding’a ahin pehdoh uchu polut ding kapedoh tan ahi.
And weighed to them the silver, and the gold, and the vessels, [even] the offering of the house of our God, which the king, and his counselors, and his lords, and all Israel [there] present, had offered:
26 Keiman hiche thillu hochu kapeh dohtoh kilhon’in, ka tetoh in ahileh hijat hi alhing in ahi: Dangka ton somni le li, Dangka a kisem thilkeo ho pound sangsagi le ja nga, sana pound sangsagi le ja nga,
I even weighed to their hand six hundred and fifty talents of silver, and silver vessels a hundred talents, [and] of gold a hundred talents;
27 sana a kisem khon somni hichu Sana sum pum sangkhat toh aman kibang chuleh sana mantamtah toh kibang sum-eng kilha ngimsella kisem thil ni hicheng hi ahi.
Also twenty basins of gold, of a thousand drams; and two vessels of fine copper, precious as gold.
28 Keiman hiche thempuho komma chun: “Nangho leh hiche thilmanlu hohi Pakaiya dinga athenga kipedoh a nahi taove, hiche dangka le sana hohi ipu ipateu Pakai Pathen a dinga hung kikatdoh ahitai.
And I said to them, Ye [are] holy to the LORD; the vessels [are] holy also; and the silver and the gold [are] a free-will-offering to the LORD God of your fathers.
29 Hiche thillu hohi thempu holeh Leviho chuleh Israel lamkaiho khut a napehlut tokah un, phatah in chingtup un, amahon Jerusalem’a Pakai houin'a akoina munna akoi tengu leh phatah a atetoh diu ahi,” ati peh in ahi.
Watch ye, and keep [them], until ye weigh [them], before the chief of the priests and the Levites, and chief of the fathers of Israel, at Jerusalem, in the chambers of the house of the LORD.
30 Hiti chun thempuho leh Levite chun Jerusalem houin'a Pakai thilkoina munna hiche thillu sanale dangka hochu pohlut nadinga mopohna chu ladingin anom taovin ahi.
So the priests and the Levites took the weight of the silver, and the gold, and the vessels, to bring [them] to Jerusalem to the house of our God.
31 Lha masapen, nisom le ni ni lhin nin, keihon Ahava twilam munchu kadalha taovin ahi. Chuleh Pathen mikhotona khut chun lamlhon lhungin melma holeh michomho khutna kon’in eihoidoh sah un ahi.
Then we departed from the river Ahava on the twelfth [day] of the first month, to go to Jerusalem: and the hand of our God was upon us, and he delivered us from the hand of the enemy, and of such as lay in wait by the way.
32 Hiti chun Jerusalem chu damsel le bit kei chan kaga lhungun hichea chun nithum kakicholdo uvin ahi.
And we came to Jerusalem, and abode there three days.
33 Kagalhun jou’u ani li channa in sana le dangka chuleh adang thillu ho jouse ka Pathen’u Houin nah hoitah in katetoh un, Uriah thempupa chapa Meremoth leh Phinehas chapa Eleazer toh Levi mi Jeshua chapa Jozabad chule Binnui chapa Noadiah kom ah pehlut nale nganse na akinei tan ahi.
Now on the fourth day was the silver and the gold and the vessels weighed in the house of our God by the hand of Meremoth the son of Uriah the priest; and with him [was] Eleazar the son of Phinehas; and with them [was] Jozabad the son of Jeshua, and Noadiah the son of Binnui, Levites;
34 Thiljouse chu ajatle agih jatchu aki tetoh soh keijin hicheng chu agihna jat pumpin kivaipohna dungjui in hoitah in akijihlut in ahi.
By number [and] by weight of every one: and all the weight was written at that time.
35 Hijouchun sohchanna a konna hungpotdoh ho cheng chun Israel Pathen’ah pumgo thilto akibolin ahi. Hiche ho jousehi Pakai komma pumgo thilto kin bolnan aneiyun ahi.
[Also] the children of those that had been carried away, who had come out of the captivity, offered burnt-offerings to the God of Israel, twelve bullocks for all Israel, ninety and six rams, seventy and seven lambs, twelve he-goats [for] a sin-offering: all [this was] a burnt-offering to the LORD.
36 Lengpa thupeh chu Euphrates vadung lhumlam gamkaija gamvaipo pa leh vaihom lenpen ho jouse kommah akithot lut sohkeijin, hijeh amaho chun akithopi soh keiyun ahi.
And they delivered the king's commissions to the king's lieutenants, and to the governors on this side of the river: and they furthered the people, and the house of God.
