1 Hichun Pakaiyin Mose henga aseiyin, “Tua hi keiman Pharoah chung'a ipi ka bol'am namu ding ahi. Aman ka ban thahatna ahin hetdoh teng, aman mipi ho chu ahinsol doh ding ahi. Dih tah a, aman namphu a agamsung dalha dinga ahin soldoh ding'u ahi!”
Then Yahweh said to Moses/me, “Now you will see what I will do to the king [and his people]. I will powerfully [MTY] compel him to let my people go. In fact, by my power [MTY] [I will force] him to expel them from his land!”
2 Chule Pathen in Mose henga aseiyin, “Keima Yahweh - 'Pakai' kahi.
God also said to Moses/me, “I am Yahweh.
3 Abraham henga, Isaac henga, chule Jacob henga El-Shaddai - 'Hatchungnung Pathen' - aheng uva ka kilah in ahi, hinlah kamin, Yaweh, ahi ti amaho heng'a kaphong doh poi.
I am the one who appeared to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, and [told them that I] was God Almighty, but I did not [tell] them that my name [was Yahweh].

I also made my solemn agreement with them, promising to give them the Canaan region. That was the area in which they were living as foreigners.
5 Israel mite, tua Egypt mite soh a pang ho thohgim na kaja nai ti hi naginchat mong thei ahi. Chule amaho toh ka kitepna jong phatah in kahe jing nai.
Furthermore, I have heard the Israeli people as they were groaning [because of the hard work that] the Egyptians forced them to do as their slaves. I have thought about that solemn promise [that I made].
6 “Hijeh chun, Israel mite henga seiyin: 'Keima Pakai kahi. Egypt gam'a nasoh tan nauva kon'a kahuhdoh ding chule nathoh gimnauva kon'a kalha ong ding nahiuve. Keiman nangho ban thahat tah le thutan'a gimnei tah a kalhatdam ding nahiuve.
So tell the Israeli people that [I said this: ] ‘I am Yahweh. I will free you from the burdens [of heavy work] that the Egyptians [have given you]. I will free you from being their slaves. With my great power [MTY] and by punishing them [MTY] very severely, I will save you.
7 Keima mite nahi mong'uve tia kachu dingu, chule na Pathen'u kahi ding ahi. Chuteng keima hi nangho Pakai na Pathen'u Egypt gamma nathoh gim nauva kon'a nahin lha ong pau chu kahi nahin hetdoh dingu ahi.
I will cause you to be my own people, and I will be your God, [the one you worship]. You will truly know that I, Yahweh your God, am the one who has freed you from the burdens [of work as slaves] of the Egyptians.
8 Keiman Abraham, Isaac, chuleh Jacob heng'a kakihahsel na gam'a chu ka puilut ding na hiuve. Nangho goulo ding mong monga kapeh ding nahiuve. Keima Pakai kahi!'”
And I will bring you to the land that I solemnly promised to give to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob. You will possess it [forever]. I, Yahweh, am [promising this].’”
9 Pakaiyin asei bang'in Mose in jong Israel mite heng'a asei peh in, ahinlah amahon avel'in angainom tapouvin ahi. Ajeh chu amaho asoh channauva aki sugim'u chun alungphatmo sah val tauvin ahi.
Moses/I told that to the Israeli people, but they did not believe what he/I said. They were very discouraged [IDM] because of the hard work [that they had been forced to do as slaves].
10 Chuin Pakaiyin Mose heng'a aseiyin,
Yahweh said to Moses/me,
11 “Egypt lengpa Pharaoh heng'a leche in lang, Israel miten nagamsung dalha tauhen tin aheng'a gaseiyin.”
“Go and tell the king of Egypt [again] that he must allow the Israeli people to leave his land!”
12 “Ahinlah Pakai!” Mose anompon, “Ka miten kathusei eingaipeh tapouvintin. Iti Pharaoh in ka thu ngai mong nante tia kakinep ding ham? Keima mipaomo kahi.”
But Moses/I said to Yahweh, “Listen [to what I am saying]. [Even] the Israeli people have not paid attention to what I [told them]. But I am a poor speaker. [MET, MTY] So (why should the king pay attention to what I tell him?/the king will certainly not pay attention to what I [tell him]!)” [RHQ]
13 Ahivangin Pakaiyin Mose leh Aaron heng'a thu aseiyin Israelte ding leh Egypt lengpa Pharaoh ding'a abol lhonding ho ape lhon'in, Pakaiyin Israelte Egypt akon puidoh ding'in Mose leh Aaron thupeh anei tan ahi.
But Yahweh spoke to Aaron and Moses/me and commanded them/us, “Tell the Israeli people and the king of Egypt that I have [commissioned you two] to lead the Israeli people out of Egypt.”
14 Hichengse hi apu apate'u khang chedol'a Israel insung upa ho ahi: Israel insung'a apeng masapen Reuben chapate se chu: Hanoch, Pallu, Hezron, chule Carmi. Amaho chilhahse hi Reuben insung kon ahitauve.
(Here is/I will now give you) a list of the ancestors of [Moses/me and Aaron]: The sons of Reuben, who was Jacob’s oldest son, [were] Hanoch, Pallu, Hezron, and Carmi. They were [ancestors of] the clans [that have those same names].
15 Simeon chapate se chu: Jemuel, Jamin, Ohad, Jakin, Zohar leh Shaul ahiuve. (Shaul hingnu vangchu Canaan numei ahi.) Amaho chilhahse hi Simeon insung kon ahitauve.
The sons of Simeon [were] Jemuel, Jamin, Ohad, Jachin, Zohar, and Shaul. Shaul’s mother was a woman from the Canaan people-group. Those men also were [ancestors of] clans [that have those same names].
16 Levi chilhahte se amaho insung minbu dungjuiya achapate chu: Gershon, Kohath leh Merari. (Levi chu kum ja le somthum le sagi ana hing'e).
These are the names of the sons of Levi, in the order in which they were born: Gershon, Kohath, and Merari. Levi was 137 years old [when he died].
17 Gershon chihahte chu Libni leh Shimei ahi lhonne. Anigel lhonin insung khangguiyin akisim lhon tan ahi.
The sons of Gershon [were] Libni and Shimei. They were ancestors of clans that have those names.
18 Kohath chilhahte chu Amram, Izhar, Hebron leh Uzziel ahi. (Kohath chu kum ja le somthum le thum ana hing'e.)
The sons of Kohath [were] Amram, Izhar, Hebron, and Uzziel. Kohath was 133 years old [when he died].
19 Merari chilhahte chu: Mahli leh Mushi ahi lhon'e. Ama ho chengse hi Levi insung chedol minbua amin cheh uchu ahi.
The sons of Merari [were] Mahli and Mushi. All of those people whose names [I have listed] belonged to tribes/clans descended from Levi, in the order in which they were born.
20 Amram chun apa sopinu Jochebed chu jin aneiyin, amanun chapa ahin peh in, Aaron leh Mose ahi lhon'e. (Amram chu kum jale somthum le sagi ana hing'e.)
Amram married his father’s sister, Jochebed. She was the mother of Aaron and Moses/me. Amram was 137 years old [when he died].
21 Izhar chapate chu Korah, Nepheg leh Zicri ahiuve.
The sons of Izhar were Korah, Nepheg, and Zichri.
22 Uzziel chapate chu, Mishael, Elzaphan leh Sithri ahiuve.
The sons of Uzziel were Mishael, Elzaphan, and Sithri.
23 Aaron in Elisheba aki chenpin, amachu Amminadab chanu chule Nahson ding'a asopinu ahi. Amanun chapa ahindoh ho chu Nadab, Abihu, Eleazar leh Ithamar ahiuve.
Aaron married Elisheba. She was the daughter of Amminadab and sister of Nahshon. Elisheba gave birth to [four sons]: Nadab, Abihu, Eleazar, and Ithamar.
24 Korah chapate hochu Assir, Elkanah leh Abiasaph ahiuvin, amaho chilhah hi Korah insung mi ahitauve.
The sons of Korah [were] Assir, Elkanah, and Abiasaph. They were the ancestors of the Korah people-group.
25 Aaron chapa Eleazar chun Putiel chanute lah a khat ji in aneiyin, chuin amanun chapa khat ahing'in Phinehas ahi. Amaho chenghi Levi insung'a pu le pate ho insung bahkai dungjuiya chengse chu ahiuve.
Aaron’s son Eleazar married one of the daughters of Putiel, and she gave birth to Phinehas. [That ends the list of] the families and clans that were descended from Levi.
26 Aaron leh Mose hichelaiya kimin phah teni mama hi ahilhon'e Pakaiyin ajah lhon'a, “Israel mite chu Egypt gamma kon in sepoyte bang'in hin lamkai lhon in,” tia asei chu.
Aaron and Moses/I were the ones to whom Yahweh said, “Lead all the families and clans of the Israeli people out of Egypt.”
27 Egypt lengpa, Pharaoh koma Israel mite Egypt gam'a konna puidoh ding'a thu sei chu, Mose leh Aaron ahi lhon'e.
They/We were the ones who spoke to the king of Egypt about bringing the Israeli people out of Egypt.
28 Egypt gam'a Pakaiyin Mose ahoulimpi achun,
On the day that Yahweh spoke to Moses/me in Egypt,
29 Aheng'a aseiyin, “Keima Pakai kahi! Egypt lengpa, Pharaoh henga seiyin, keiman naheng'a kasei jouse chu.”
he said, “I am Yahweh. You must tell the king everything that I say to you.”
30 Ahinlah Mose in Pakai akinel pin, aseiyin, “Hichu ka bolthei lou ding ahi! ajeh chu keima mipaomo kahi! Ipi jeh a Pharaoh in ka thusei angai ding ham?” ati.
But Moses/I said to Yahweh, “Listen to me. I am not a good speaker. [MET, MTY] So (the king will certainly not pay attention to what I say/why should the king pay attention to what I tell him?)!” [RHQ]
