< Potdohbu 12 >
1 Israel mite Egypt gamma aum jing laijun, Pakaiyin Mose leh Aaron heng'a hicheng hi thupeh aneiye:
Then spake Yahweh, unto Moses and unto Aaron, in the land of Egypt saying—
2 “Tuapat hiche lha hi nang ho ding'a lha kipatna ahin, kumkhat adia lha kipatna'a kisim ding ahi tai,” ati.
This month, is, to you, a beginning of months, —the first, it is, to you, of the months of the year.
3 “Israelte kikhop khomna munpi jouse ah ga seipeh lhon tan. Hiche lhasung nisom alhin niteng leh ama ama cheh in apu apateu insung kai lhah apat, insung khat cheh akon kelngoi khat cheh kat doh ding'a ahin kai diu ahiye.”
Speak ye unto all the assembly of Israel, saying, On the tenth of this month, then let them take to them, each man a lamb for his ancestral household, a lamb for a household.
4 Kelngoinou khat kitha ding'a insung khat'a mijat chu alhom khah'a ahile, inneipu le aheng akoma pa kinop to ding kelngoi nou adol ding cha bep khat chu aga kimat lhon ding, amichan cheh'in aneh khopset ding kelngoinou khat ding mijat chu phatecha nasim toh lhon ding ahi.
But if the household be too small for a lamb, then shall he and his neighbour that is near unto his house take one, according to the number of souls, —each man according to his eating, shall ye number for the lamb.
5 “Kelngoinou chu nolna beihel hiding, kumkhat lhingsa hitei ding, hiche kelngoinou chu kelngoi honlah'a konna hihen kelcha honnlah konna hijong leh athah beh mong mong'a na kimat ding'u ahi.”
A lamb without defect a male a year old, shall yours be, —from the sheep or from the goats, shall ye take it.
6 “Hichea manchah ding kelngoinou chu hiche lha nisom leh nili lhinni geija nahen cheh diug'u hichu nilhum lam teng leh Israel kikhom pumpi chun ama amacheh adia akitha ding'u ahiye.”
So shall it be yours, to keep, until the fourteenth day of this month, —then shall all the convocation of the assembly of Israel slay it between the two evenings.
7 Gancha kithat thisan chu phabep a sodoh diu, hichu kelngoinou thisan a chu in kotpi phung le inkam'a aloinat cheh cheh diu ahi.”
And they shall take of the blood, and put upon the two door-posts and upon the upper-beam, —upon the houses wherein they are to eat it.
8 “Hicheni jan teng chule kelngoinou sa chu meiya akihul min uva aneh cheh diu, hichu cholso lou changlhah leh anchekha toh ametha cheh cheh diu ahiye.”
Then shall they eat the flesh, in the same night, —roast with fire, and with unleavened cakes, with bitter herbs, shall they eat it.
9 “Hiche sa chu asel puma hihen twija kihonminsa hijong leh koimachan naneh thei lou hel diu ahi. Sa pumpi aluchang le akeng chule asung jouse jaona meiya na kihulmin tho uva naneh cheh diu ahi,” ati.
Do not eat of it underdone, nor cooked by boiling in water, —but roast with fire, its head with its legs, and with its inward parts.
10 “Sahel moh neocha jong jingkah chan'na na khovah sah louhel diu ahi. Jingkah geija ana um taphot chu meiya na govam jeng ding'u ahiye.”
And ye shall let nothing thereof remain until morning, —but that which is left remaining until morning, in the fire shall ye consume.
Chu teng naneh khom soh kei uva hichu Pakaiya dia kalchuh kut ahiye,” ati.
And, thus, shall ye eat it, —your loins, girded, your sandals, on your feet, and, your staff, in your hand, —so shall ye eat it in haste, it is Yahweh’s, passing over.
12 “Hiche jan teng chule keiman Egypt gamsung kahin jotpa'a mihem leh gancha aboncha apeng lha masa jouse kasuh gam hel ding ahi. Chule Egypt gamsung'a milim doi kisemthu jouse chung'a jong thu katan ding ahiye, ajeh chu keima Pakai kahi!” ati.
I will pass along, therefore, throughout the land of Egypt this night, and will smite every firstborn in the land of Egypt, from man even to beast, —and against all the gods of Egypt, will I execute judgments—I, Yahweh.
13 “Ahinlah nangho jouse ding'a hiche thisan kiso chu melchihna hung kilah tading, keiman Egypt gampumpi ka hinsuh mang ding, hiche thisan chu kahin mudoh jiteng keiman nangho jouse chung'a natna hoise hung lang theijouse akonna kaven doh ding na hiuve,” ati.
Then shall the blood serve you for a sign, on the houses wherein ye are, then will I behold the blood, and will pass over you, —and there shall be among you no plague to destroy, when I smite the land of Egypt.
14 “Hiche nikho hi nangho ding'a het jing na nikho'a pang jeng ding ahitai. Hichu kumsih chule akhang akhang'a Pakaiya dia kut nikho ahi ti na gel doh jeng ding'u ahiye. Na khang lhumkei uva chonna dan hiti'a nanit jing diu ahitai,” ati.
So shall this day serve you for a memorial, and ye shall celebrate it, as a festival to Yahweh, —to your generations—as an age-abiding statute, shall ye celebrate it.
15 “Ni sagi sung'a cholso lou chang lhah jeng naneh ding'u ahi. Ni sagi alhinni teng leh nangma insung cheh'a chol umjouse pamlamma na paidoh soh kei ding'u ahi. Nalah uva koitabang khat chun hiche cholso lou changlhah, ni sagi lhinnia pat naneh khah ngeingei uva ahile, amachu Israel mite lah'a konna kisumang jeng ding ahi,” ati.
Seven days, unleavened cakes, shall ye eat, surely, on the first day, shall ye put away leaven, out of your houses, —for whosoever eateth what is leavened, then shall that soul be cut off out of Israel, from the first day, unto the seventh day.
16 “Kut kipat nikho masa pen'ni teng khompi len khat nanei uva, ni sagi alhinni teng jong leh khompilen theng khatma nanei diu ahi. Hiche nikho teni hi atumbeh a nanit cheh diu, amichan'in aneh khop ding nabol peh teitei ding'u ahi,” ati.
Both on the first day, a holy convocation, and on the seventh day—a holy convocation, shall there be to you, —no work, shall be done therein, save only what must be eaten by every soul, that alone, shall be done by you.
17 “Hiche hi Cholsolou chang lhah kut'a naman diu ahiye, ajechu hiche nikhoa hi keiman nang ho Egypt gamsung'a konna ka hin puidoh nau na geldoh jing diu, nakhang lhumkei uva nangho jousen hiche nikho chu chonna dan ahi tia nanit jom jing ding'u ahi,” ati.
So then ye shall observe the unleavened cakes, because on this self-same day, brought I forth your hosts out of the land of Egypt, —so then ye shall observe this day to your generations, as a statute age-abiding,
18 “Lhamasa nisom le nili lhin nikho nilhah lam teng leh na boncha uva hiche chol solou chang lhah chu naneh pan diu ahi”
In the first month, on the fourteenth day of the month in the evening, shall ye eat unleavened cakes, —until the one-and-twentieth day of the month in the evening,
19 “Ni sagi sungse'a vang chu nangma nangma insung cheh'a, chol sosa changlhah khat jeng cha jong kilah lou ding ahiye. Kholjin mi ahin agamsung cheng den miho hijong leochun cholsosa changlhah nekha tapou chu, Israel khompi akonna ki sumang jeng ding ahi,” ati.
For seven days, leaven, shall not be found in your houses, —for, whosoever eateth what is leavened, then shall that soul be cut off out of the assembly of Israel, whether sojourner or native of the land.
20 ‘Hiche phatsung hin amitakip'in cholsosa changlhah kiti phot na neh lou hel ding'u ahiye. Ajeh chu chol solou changlhah jeng naneh diu ahi.”
Nothing leavened, shall ye eat, —in all your dwellings, shall ye eat unleavened cakes.
21 “Chu in Mose'n jong Israel sung'a upa ho jouse akou khom in aheng uvah asei peh tai, “Che uvin, nangma cheh insung ding kelngoinou gakikai jun lang, chule kal chuh kut'a ding'in kithauvin.”
So then Moses called for all the elders of Israel, and said unto them, —Proceed and take for yourselves one of the flock according to your families, and slay the passover.
22 “Khutsilna kong'a gan thisan chu koi jun. Chule hichu hyssop nado phabep lauvin lang dekot'uvin. Hissop chu lauvin lang thisan achun kotpi khom teni ahin kotpi chunglah inkam a chun loinat soh kei uvin. Jing khovah kahse'a koima chan hichu a kallhah theilou ding ahi,” ati.
Then shall ye take a bunch of hyssop, and dip it in the blood which is in the basin, and strike the upper beam and the two door-posts, with the blood which is in the basin, —and, ye, shall not go forth any man out of the entrance of his house, until morning,
23 Ajeh chu “Pakaiyin Egypt mite jouse sugamma hung ding kahi, chuteng Pakaiyin kotpi chung lah'a thisan kiloinat hochu amu ding, hitia chu a suh gam ding hojal achu hiche insung chu apeldoh ding ahiye, ati.”
And Yahweh will pass along to plague the Egyptians, and when he beholdeth the blood upon the upper beam and upon the two door-posts, then will Yahweh pass over the entrance, and not suffer the destroyer to enter into your houses to inflict on you the plague.
24 “Geldoh jing'un, thupeh hichengse hi nangho jouse ding leh nachateo khang geija chonna dan ahi tia na jui jing ding'u ahi,” ati.
And ye shall observe this thing, —for a statute to thee and to thy sons unto times age-abiding.
25 “Pakaiyin nangho peh ding'a aki tepna sa gamsung na lhun teng ujongleh hiche chonna dan hi najui jing diu ahi,” ati.
And so it shall come to pass when ye shall enter into the land which Yahweh will give you as he hath spoken, —and ye shall observe this service;
26 “Chule hiche chonna hi na chate u vin ipi ding'a kibol ham, ti na hin doh ding'u ahi.”
and it shall come to pass that your sons shall say unto you, —What is this your service?
27 “Nang hon jong na donbut uva, “hiche chonna dan hi Pakai ja dia gantha kilhaina ahin chule Pakaiyin Egypt mite anatha gamlai chun Aman Israel mite in hochu ana kalchuh ji'e tia nasei peh ding'u ahi. Chuin Mose'n thupeh hichengse chu achaiphat'in mipi jouse Pakai angsung'a akunlha sohkei uvin chibai aboh tauve.
Then shall ye say—A passover sacrifice, it is to Yahweh, who passed-over the houses of the sons of Israel, in Egypt, when he plagued the Egyptians but our houses, he delivered. Then did the people bend their heads and bow themselves down.
28 Pakaiyin Mose leh Aaron athupeh bang'in Israel mite'n jong abol tauvin ahi.
And the sons of Israel went their way and did, —as Yahweh had commanded Moses and Aaron, so, did they.
29 Chule hiche Jan khangkim chun Pakaiyin Egypt gamsung'a nao cha pengmasa jouse, Pharaoh chapa apeng masapen alatouna toupa akipat, akimvella cheng asohpa chapa peng masapen ahin, chule gancha peng masa jouse athat gam hel tan ahi.
And it came to pass, at midnight, that Yahweh, smote every firstborn in the land of Egypt, from the firstborn of Pharaoh who sat upon his throne, unto the firstborn of the captive who was in the pit of his prison, —and every firstborn of beasts.
30 Jankim laijin Pharaoh, asohteho chule Egypt mite abonchauvin athou doh taovin, Egypt gamsung pumpia ka le mao awgin akithong helsoh tai. Ajeh chu intin chang'a mi thina lou umlouva ahi tai.
Then rose up Pharaoh by night, he, and all his servants, and all the Egyptians, and there arose a great outcry throughout Egypt, —for there was not a house, where there was not one dead.
So he called for Moses and for Aaron by night and said—Rise ye, go forth out of the midst of my people, both ye and the sons of Israel, —and go serve Yahweh according to your word;
32 “Na seima bang in na kelngoi jouseo leh nagan cha jouse'u abonchan ki pui unlang, che tauvin, nei dalhah ding tah jeh'un keima jong phatthei neichan lhon ding ahiye,” ati.
also, your flocks and your herds, take ye, as ye spake and go your way, —so shall ye bless, even me.
33 Egypt miten abonchauvin Israelte ding in a kisaboi lheh jeng tauvin, Egypt gamsung'a konna Israel mite soldoh loiding lunggel akeng tauvin, ama hon hiti hin ase uve; “Keiho ka boncha uva thigam ding kahi tauve! tin asei uve.”
And the Egyptians became urgent with the people, to send them in haste out of the land, —for they said—We all, are dying.
34 Israel mite'n jong chang bong neldi anei jouse'u aki hamkhom tauvin. Chang bong ameh nau lhengkam jouse jao nan poh ding'in aki got cheh tauvin ahi.
So the people took up their dough, ere yet it was leavened, —with their kneading-bowls, bound up in their mantles on their shoulders,
35 Mose'n athu peh bang bang uvin, Israel mite'n jong abol tauvin ahi; Egypt mite akon'in sana le dangka kijep na ding jouse akithum doh gam tauvin ahi.
And the sons of Israel, did according to the word of Moses, —and asked of the Egyptians, articles of silver and articles of gold and mantles.
36 Pakaiyin Israel mite chu Egypt mite mitmun alunglhaisah soh keijun ahile, Egypt miten jong anei chasun uchu itcha louhel lin ana pesoh kei uvin. Egypt mite haona jouse toh akon tauvin ahi!
And Yahweh, gave the people favour in the eyes of the Egyptians and they gave them gladly, —so they spoiled the Egyptians.
37 Hiche jan chun Israel mite Rameses khopia kon in Succoth lam'a ding'in akipat doh tauvin ahi. Numei chapang simtha louvin keng lamma che pasal jat mong chu sang jagup alhing uve.
Then did the sons of Israel break up from Rameses, towards Succoth, —about six hundred thousand foot of men grown, besides little ones.
38 Amaho ahiuvin chule miphum miphah, gancha ho, kelngoi hon tampi le gancha hon tampi jaonan aki tol tauve.
Moreover also, a mixed multitude, came up with them, —flocks also, and herds, exceeding much cattle,
39 Egypt gamsung'a aum lai uva kisem chang bong chu alhon lhon'in aki ken jiuvin ahi. Egypt gam'a kino tah'a ki soldoh ahiyeh uvin amahon chang lhah chu chol aso man tah louvu, chule ama cheh nehding jeng jong ana kigon man tapo uve.
Then baked they the dough which they had brought out of Egypt—into round unleavened cakes for it had not been leavened, —for they had been driven out of Egypt and could not tarry, and indeed no provisions, had they made ready for themselves.
40 Israel mite chu Egypt gamsung'a kum jali le kum som thum ana cheng uve.
Now, the time during which the sons of Israel dwelt in Egypt, was four hundred and thirty years.
41 Chuin, Kum jali le kum somthum lhin'nin Pakai thanei jin Israel mite chu Egypt gam'a kon'in ahin puidoh tauvin ahi.
And it came to pass at the end of four hundred and thirty years, yea it came to pass, on this self-same day, that all the hosts of Yahweh had come forth out of the land of Egypt.
42 Hiche jan chun Pakaiyin Israel mite Egypt gam'a kon'na ahinpui doh ding kitepna aneiyin ahi. Hiche jan hi Pakai ding'a mong ahin, hijeh achu Israel mite'n akhang akhang'uva anit jing diu ahiye.
A night of solemn observances, it is unto Yahweh, for bringing them forth out of the land of Egypt, —this same night, pertaineth to Yahweh, for solemn observances by all the sons of Israel to their generations.
43 Chuin Pakaiyin Mose le Aaron heng'a aseijin, “Hichengse hi kalchuh kut kibol ding dan ahi. Kalchuh kut ankong hi kholjin min anehthei lou hel ding ahi.”
And Yahweh said unto Moses and Aaron: This, is the statute of the passover, —No stranger, shall eat thereof;
44 Amavang hiche mihem chu sum'a kichodohsa le cheptan sa ahile aneh jeng thei ahinai,” ati.
but, every man’s servant bought with silver, —when thou hast circumcised him, then, shall he eat thereof:
45 “Kholjin maimai le tha'a kila akigoimi hon jong aneh thei lou ding ahi.”
An alien or a hireling, shall not eat thereof.
46 “Insung cheh'a kalchuh kut an chu kine ding ahi. Inpolam'a naneh thei lou diu chule sagu hel neocha jong kipodoh thei lou ding ahiye.”
In one house, shall it be eaten, thou shalt not take forth out of the house any of the flesh outside; and a, bone thereof, shalt thou not break.
47 “Hiche hi Isreal khompi jousen phatecha anit cheh diuva ahi.”
All the assembly of Israel, shall keep it.
48 “Gamdang mikhat tou ahung kholjin khah'a Pakai kalchuh kut'a ajaonom'a ahile pasal kiti phot chun achep kitan cheh uhen, chuteng kalchuh kut chu anailut'uva aneh thei ding chuteng amaho chu Israel mite bang'a lhathei ding ahiye.”
And when there may sojourn with thee a sojourner who may wish to keep a passover to Yahweh, there must be circumcised to him every male and then, may he draw near to keep it, so shall he be as a native of the land, —but no uncircumcised male, shall eat thereof.
49 “Hiche thupeh hi amitakip ading ahin, agammi Israelte hihen gamdang mi hijong le dan khat'a um cheh ding ahi,” ati.
One law, shall there be for the native, and for the sojourner that sojourneth in your midst.
50 Pakaiyin Mose le Aaron athupeh bang'in Israel mite'n jong abolsoh kei uve.
Thus did all the sons of Israel, —as Yahweh had commanded Moses and Aaron, so, did they.
51 Hiche nikho chun Pakaiyin Israel mite Egypt gamsung a kon in galsat sepaite bang in ahin puidoh tauvin ahi.
And it came to pass, on this self-same day, that Yahweh brought forth the sons of Israel out of the land of Egypt, by their hosts.
