1 Mose’n Israel mite akoukhom in aheng uva aseipeh tan ahi, Israel miten phatah in ngaiyun. Tunin Dan thupeh chengse hi jasoh keiyun, kihilnan neiyun lang najui kimsoh kei diu ahi!
And Moses called all Israel, and said to them, Hear, O Israel, the statutes and judgments which I speak in your ears this day, that ye may learn them, and keep, and do them.
2 Pakai, Pathen in Sinai mola kitepna eisem peh tauvin ahi.
The LORD our God made a covenant with us in Horeb.
3 Pakaiyin hiche kitepna hi ipu-ipateu toh asem ahipon, amavang tunikhoa eiho jouse dinga asem ahi.
The LORD made not this covenant with our fathers, but with us, [even] us, who [are] all of us here alive this day.
4 Pakai mol chunga meikong in akilah in nangho kimaiton nakihou limpiuvin ahi.
The LORD talked with you face to face on the mount, from the midst of the fire,
5 Nangho leh Pakai kimlaiya keima ka ding in ahi, ajeh chu nanghon meikong nakicha uvin molchung na nailut ngam tapouve. Pakaiyin ka henga thu aseiyin, athusei doh aboncha nangho kapeh son ahi. Pakai thuseidoh chu hiche hi ahi:
(I stood between the LORD and you at that time, to show you the word of the LORD: for ye were afraid by reason of the fire, and went not up upon the mount; ) saying,
6 Keima na Pakai leh na Pathen kahi, Egypt gam'a soh a naum laiyuva na huhdoh pau chu kahi.
I [am] the LORD thy God, who brought thee out of the land of Egypt, from the house of bondage.
7 Kei tailou Pathen dang nanei loudiu ahi.
Thou shalt have no other gods before me.
8 Milim semthu kiti nanei thei lou diu, van le leiset chule twikhanglen sunga hijongleh pathen lim semthu nanei thei lou diu ahi.
Thou shalt not make for thee [any] graven image, [or] any likeness [of any thing] that [is] in heaven above, or that [is] on the earth beneath, or that [is] in the waters beneath the earth:
9 Hitobang lim semthu ho ang sunga chu naboh khup uva, akin nabol louhel diu ahi. Ajeh chu keima na Pakaiyu leh na Pathen u-kahin, pathen dang semthua kona thang-tomji ka hin, hiche chonset nachu nacha teu khang geiya pap kalhunsah ding; keima ei pam pai insung pumpi chunga, khangthum leh li chan geiya lethuhna ka lhunsah ding ahi.
Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God [am] a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children to the third and fourth [generation] of them that hate me,
10 Hinlah ka thupeh nit a keima eingailu jing ho chunga, akhang akhanga ngailutna kalhunsah ding ahi.
And showing mercy to thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments.
11 Pakai, Pathen min nasuhboh louhel diu ahi. Koihileh Pakai min suboh chan chu ngaidam chang lou ding ahi.
Thou shalt not take the name of the LORD thy God in vain: for the LORD will not hold [him] guiltless that taketh his name in vain.
12 Pakai, Pathen thupeh banga, Sabbath nikho theng chu nanit jing diu ahi.
Keep the sabbath-day to sanctify it, as the LORD thy God hath commanded thee.
13 Natohna ding nigup naneiyun ahi,
Six days thou shalt labor, and do all thy work:
14 hinlah nisagi lhinni Sabbath nikho hi Pakai, Pathen dinga nikho theng ki katdoh ahi. Hiche nikhoa hi koi machan insung natoh abol theilou ding, hiche hi nangho nahiuvin, nachapateu le nachanuteu, nasoh pasal ho le nasoh numei hou, bongchal holeh, sa-ngan ho chule nagancha jouse jaona, chule gamdangmi nalah uva hung cheng ho jaona hi ding ahi.
But the seventh day [is] the sabbath of the LORD thy God: [in it] thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, nor thy man-servant, nor thy maid-servant, nor thy ox, nor thy ass, nor any of thy cattle, nor thy stranger that [is] within thy gates; that thy man-servant and thy maid-servant may rest as well as thou.
15 Hiche hi nasuhmil lou diu ahi, khatvei chu Egypt gam sunga soh a um nahiuvin, hinlah Pakai, Pathen in abanthahat pana nahin puidoh'u ahi. Hiche jeh achu Pakai, Pathen in Sabbath nikhoa ki chol dinga thupeh anei ahi.
And remember that thou wast a servant in the land of Egypt, and [that] the LORD thy God brought thee out thence with a mighty hand and by an out-stretched arm: therefore the LORD thy God commanded thee to keep the sabbath-day.
16 Pakai, Pathen thupeh bang in nanu, napa jabol un. Chutileh nahinkhou sot ding Pakai, Pathen in napehnau gam sunga lung monga nachen diu ahi.
Honor thy father and thy mother, as the LORD thy God hath commanded thee; that thy days may be prolonged, and that it may be well with thee, in the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee.
17 Toltha nabol lou diu ahi.
Thou shalt not kill.
18 Jon thanhoi nabol lou diu ahi.
Neither shalt thou commit adultery.
19 Gu chat nabol lou diu ahi.
Neither shalt thou steal.
20 Na sopi nalhep chatvai lou diu ahi.
Neither shalt thou bear false witness against thy neighbor.
21 Na sopi jitoh nalupkhom lou diu ahi. Chule nasopi gam jong nachu lou diu, asoh numei hihen pasal hijongleh, abongchal hihen, asangante hijongleh nasopi nei le gou, ijakai lepthola nalah thei lou diu ahi.
Neither shalt thou desire thy neighbor's wife, neither shalt thou covet thy neighbor's house, his field, or his man-servant, or his maid-servant, his ox, or his ass, or any [thing] that [is] thy neighbor's.
22 Hichengse hi molchunga nakal laiyuva Pakaiyin aseidohsa ahitai. Pakai chu meikong in akilah in aw-sang tah in asam in, chuin meibol le muthim in atomlha jeng in ahi. Hiche laimuna chu aboncha aseiya chule hichengse chu aboncha song pheng nia ajihlut a keima eipeh ahi.
These words the LORD spoke to all your assembly on the mount from the midst of the fire, of the cloud, and of the thick darkness, with a great voice: and he added no more. And he wrote them in two tables of stone, and delivered them to me.
23 Nanghon awgin le mu-athime ti najauvin chule molchung pumpi athimlha jeng tan ahileh, na insung cheh uva koin lamkaiho le upa ho ka henga ahung uvin ahi.
And it came to pass, when ye heard the voice from the midst of the darkness, (for the mountain did burn with fire, ) that ye came near to me, [even] all the heads of your tribes, and your elders;
24 Amahon hiti hin aseiyuve, vetan! IPakaiyu le i-Pathen uvin aloupina ki dangtah in eimusah uvin aw-sangtah meikonga kilah chu kaja uvin, tunin kamu tauve. Ajeh chu Pathen in mihemte henga thu aseiyin, hinlah ima kati deh pouvin ahi.
And ye said, Behold, the LORD our God hath shown us his glory and his greatness, and we have heard his voice from the midst of the fire: we have seen this day that God doth talk with man, and he liveth.
25 Tunvang ipi dinga thi ikichat kit diu ham? Ajeh chu Pakai, Pathen in iheng uva thu asei kit a ahileh, thinan ilhun den uva meikonga iki govam jeng theiyu ahi.
Now therefore why should we die? for this great fire will consume us: if we hear the voice of the LORD our God any more, then we shall die.
26 Haina hu neiya hing itobang hijongleh, eiho banga hing jing Pathen awgin ja'a thi louva hing thei aum dem?
For who [is there of] all flesh that hath heard the voice of the living God speaking out of the midst of the fire, as we [have], and lived?
27 Tun nangho cheuvin lang Pakai, Pathen in ipi asei em gangai tauvin. Chule hung kile kit unlang Pakaiyin ipi asei em ti kaheng uva hung seiyun, chuteng keihon kangai uva kajui diu ahi.
Go thou near, and hear all that the LORD our God shall say; and speak thou to us all that the LORD our God shall speak to thee; and we will hear [it], and do [it].
28 Keima henga nangeh chan’u Pakaiyin ajasoh tan ahi. Pakaiyin hiti hin aseiye, mipihon nangma henga ipi asei uvem ti keiman ka hesoh keiyin, chule amahon thudih aseiyu ahi.
And the LORD heard the voice of your words, when ye spoke to me; and the LORD said to me, I have heard the voice of the words of this people, which they have spoke to thee: they have well said all that they have spoken.
29 Oh, hitia hi amahon lung ngaichatna anei jing diu chule hiche bang achu amahon keima eigin jing diu, ka thupeh jong anit jing diu ahi! Hitia chu achon jing uva ahileh, amaho leh achilhah teu chan geiya phatthei chang diu ahi.
O that there were such a heart in them, that they would fear me, and keep all my commandments always, that it might be well with them, and with their children for ever!
30 Nangma chen lang aheng uva gasei tan, “Na ponbuh cheh uva kile tauvin.”
Go, say to them, Return to your tents again.
31 Hinlah nangma hiche muna hin ding den nalaiyin chonna dan thupeh aboncha kasei peh ding nahi. Chule hichengse hi aboncha mipiho henga naseipeh ding chutileh amahon achen nau gamsunga chu ajui jing diu ahi.
But as for thee, stand thou here by me, and I will speak to thee all the commandments, and the statutes, and the judgments, which thou shalt teach them, that they may do [them] in the land which I give them to possess it.
32 Chuin Mose’n mipiho henga aseiyin, nang hon chingthei tah in Pakai, Pathen thupeh aboncha jui ding go uvin.
Ye shall observe to do therefore as the LORD your God hath commanded you: ye shall not turn aside to the right hand or to the left.
33 Pakai, Pathen in nathupeh nau lampi chu jui jing uvin. Chutileh nalhun nadiu gamsunga hinkho sot tah nachen thei diu ahi.
Ye shall walk in all the ways which the LORD your God hath commanded you, that ye may live, and [that it may be] well with you, and [that] ye may prolong [your] days in the land which ye shall possess.
