1 Vannoi leiset pumpin ngaiyun, ajeh chu keiman naheng uva hiche thuhi ka seiyin ahi. Keima kam sunga kona thu kisei hi leiset pumpin ngaisoh keiyun.
Heaven, listen as I speak; Earth, hear what I'm saying.
2 Keiman nangho jah ding’a ka sei hi goju bang jeng hen, chule ka thusei jong daitwi bang in kai jeng hen, hampa lah gotwi nel bang in kai hen, hamhing lah a gotwiju bang in hung hen, ati.
May my teaching fall gently like the rain; may my words drop lightly like the dew, like soft rain on new grass, like spring showers on growing plants.
3 Ajeh chu keiman Pakai min ka sam jal jeng in, O Pathen alen tangeiye, tin sam cheh uhen!
I will praise the Lord's character. Tell everyone how great he is!
4 Pathen hi songpi ahin, athilbol achamkim tangeiye. Ajeh chu alamlhah aboncha thudih jeng ahin, temmona imacha umlou leh kitahna dim jeng ahin, a kitah le adihna jeng ahi.
He is the Rock. Everything he does is perfect, for all his ways are right. He is the trustworthy God who is never unjust; he is fair and honest.
5 Hiche mitehon vang Ama hi a lam louvin abol'un, abonchauvin achate hi khalou tobang asoh tauvin, ajeh chu abonchauva nolna jeng ahiuvin, khang lamvaitah le lungput gih tah ahiuve.
His children have acted immorally towards him; so they are no longer his children because of their sinful stains. They are a perverse and corrupt people.
6 Hitobanga chu Pakai hi lethuhna nei ding nagot uham, vo lungthim beiho, angol gam'a na hitauve! Ama hi nasempa, na Pathen hilou ham? Nangho sema tungdoh achu koi ham?
Is this any way to repay the Lord, you foolish, stupid people? Isn't he your Father who created you? Isn't he the one who turned you into a nation and made you strong?
7 Nikho masa lai chu geldoh in, kum masa laiya khang tamtah jong chu geldoh in, napa chu kidoh un aman nahil chen soh kei diu, na upate hou dong leu chun ama hon nahil diu ahi.
Remember the olden days; think about times long ago. God and ask your father, and he will explain them to you. Talk to your elders, and they will let you know.
8 Hatchungnung pen in nampi goulo ahop peh chun, Aman mihem chate alheng khen soh keiyin. Israel mite atam leh alhom dungjuiyin gamgi anasat khen pehsoh keiyin ahi.
The Most High gave the nations their lands when he divided the human race; he fixed their borders depending on their gods.
9 Ajeh chu Pakai chan chu amite chan ding ahin, Jacob hi ama chan ding hichu agoulo ding mong ahi.
But the Lord's people are his, Israel is his chosen one.
10 Jacob chu gamthip laiya akimu in, gam mang thim lah a ki mudoh ahi. Pakaiyin amahi aveng tup jing in, khohsahna anei jing in, hiti chun amitmu jenga khohsahna lhingsel aneiyin ahi.
He found you in a desert land, in a desolate wasteland of whirlwinds. He protected you; he cared for you; he looked after you as the one he loved the most.
11 Muvanlai in abu avil jinga, abu sunga anoute avet lhih jing bang in ave lhih jing in ahi. Jacob hi kolchah jing ding in alhaving ajah dohjin, alhaving’a Jacob hi apo le jin ahi.
Like an eagle watching over its nest, hovering over its chicks, he spread his wings and picked you up and carried you along.
12 Pakai ama tah in ahin pui len, Jacob in aki voppi chu pathen dang ahipoi.
The Lord was the only one who led you; no foreign god was with him.
13 Pakaiyin ama chu leiset chung mun sang lai laiya atousah jin, aman jong lhosohga akilo jin ane jin ahi. Songpia kon in khoiju achepsah jin, meituh song akon in jong thaotwi apot dohsah jin ahi.
The Lord gave you the high country to rule, and fed you with the crops of the field to eat. He sustained you with honey from the rock and olive oil from the flinty crag,
14 Bonghon lah akon in bongnoi apen, kelngoi hon lah akon in noitwi apejin, kelngoite ahin kelngoi chalte abonchan thaotwi in avah va jin, Bashan phaichama bonghon leh kelchan avah jin ahi. Suhlou chang leh lengpitwi chu nadon jin ahi.
with yogurt from the herd and milk from the flock, with the fat of lambs, with rams from Bashan, and goats, along with the best wheat. You drank the wine made from the best grapes.
15 Jeshurun chu ahung thaobehseh tan ahileh, akeng in athai mang mang in, nang jong nathao behseh tan nanoi gei gol jong achop lha jeng tan, Chuin asempa Pathen jeng jong asumil lotan, Ahuhhingpu Pathen jeng jong chu tot chavei nan aneitan ahi.
But Israel, you grew fat and rebelled—fat, overweight, and bloated with food. You abandoned the God who made you and despised the Rock of your salvation.
16 Hetphah lou pathen kin abol jeh uchun asu lung hang tauvin, chondan thet umtah tah abol'un, Pakai chu aphin lunghang tauve.
You made the Lord jealous by worshiping foreign gods; you made him angry with such disgusting practices.
17 Pathen hilou thilha ho henga kilhaina asem uvin, imatih chana ahet phah lou-u pathen lim semthu, pathen lim kisem thu thahho, hitobang ho chu napu napate hon jong ana het khah lou hel ahi.
You offered sacrifices to demons instead of God, to gods you didn't know anything about, to brand-new gods that your forefathers didn't worship.
18 Nangman nasempa songpi chu nagel jing jeng pon, nahingpa Pathen hi nasumil tan ahi.
You dismissed the Rock who fathered you; you forgot the God who gave birth to you.
19 Pakaiyin athilbol-u ijakai amu chet phat in akidah lheh jeng tan, achapate, acha nuteuvin aphin lung hang gam tauvin ahi.
The Lord rejected them when he saw this; his sons and daughters made him angry.
20 Chuin Pakaiyin aseijin, keiman hiche mihemte akona kamai kasel mang ding, akhonna geiya itobang tauvem ti ka vet lhih jing ding, amaho hi abonchauva khanglam vaitah ahiuvin, asung jeng uva jong tahsanna bei ahi.
He said: “I will turn away from them. Then I'll see what happens to them! They are a perverse people, unfaithful children.
21 Hiche mite hohin Pathen hi lou achombeh pathen kinbol in apang tauvin, keima ei hepha tapouvin, milim doi asem hou jeh in keima kalung ahansah tauvin, ajeh chu keiman mihem to tethei lou ho kaphin lunghang’a achung'uva ka thangtom sah ding, nam lah a angolpente ka phin lunghang peh ding ahiuve.
They have made me jealous by worshiping things that are not God; they have made me angry with their useless idols. So I will make them jealous using a people that aren't really a nation; I will make them angry using ignorant foreigners.
22 Keima kalung ahana konin mei ahung kong doh jeng in, hiche meichun noimi gamchan akichai theiyin, leiset leh achunga thil jouse jong akichai hel soh jeng tan, molsang vum jouse jong meiyin akachai soh tan ahi. (Sheol h7585)
My anger has been set on fire, burning down to the depths of the grave, destroying the earth and all it produces, even setting fire to the foundations of the mountains. (Sheol h7585)
23 Hiche mite chunga hi thilse simjou lou kasit dimset jeng ding, achung'uva thalpi chang kakap ding ahi.
I will pile disasters on them; I will use up my arrows shooting at them.
24 Hiche mite hi gilkela thigamna ato diu, meikong in aleugam diu, gamna huise in alhun den jeng diu, amaho douna gamsa ka hansah ding, leivuiya kithol gulsi achung'uva kahan sah ding ahi.
They will waste away from hunger, destroyed by disease and poisonous plague. I will send wild animals to bite them with their teeth, the fangs of snakes that slide along the ground.
25 Chule polama chemjam hem kalap sah ding, insung jeng ajong tijatna jeng lhung ding, nungah—gollhangho aboncha thigam ding, nao noichep leh pasal sam kangsa jeng jong atha gamset ding ahi.
Outside in the streets the sword kills their children, inside their homes, they die from fright; young men and young women, children and old people.
26 Keiman hitia hi ka seiya, gam jousea ka thejal soh hel ding, amaho geldohna bei hel ta ding ahi.
I would have told them I was going to cut them to pieces and wipe out even the memory of them;
27 Hiche melmate kiletsahna hi kagin lou ham? Amelmate hou gilkel nan hinpha khante, ahilou jong leh hitia hi asei diu, ikhut thahat uvin gal ei josah tauvin, thil hichengse hi Pakaiyin eibol peh uva ahi oi, tia asei diu ahi.
but I didn't want to hear their conquerors jeering, their enemies misunderstanding what had happened and saying, ‘We won all by ourselves, the Lord didn't have anything to do with it.’
28 Ajeh chu amaho hi lunggel beiya hinkho mang nam ahiuvin, alungthim sung uva jong hetkhenna ima umlou ahiye.
Israel is a nation that doesn't think straight; none of them understand anything.
29 Hetkhenna nei hileu hitobang hi ahetthem diu, kho nung chana ato diu thil jong ahet khen thei diu ahi.
How I wish they were wise, so they could understand it; they would recognize what was going to happen to them.
30 Mikhat chun mi sang khat chu adeljam thei pon, mini seh in jong mihem sangsom adeljam thei pon ahi.
How on earth could one man chase after a thousand, or two make ten thousand run away, unless their Rock of protection had sold them, unless the Lord had surrendered them?
31 Ajeh chu amaho songpi chu eiho songpi tobang ahi pon, imelma teu hi amaho leh amaho kah a thutan'a pang jeng ahiuve.
The rock they rely on is not like our Rock, as even our enemies admit.
32 Amaho lengpigui hi Sadom akona hung jam lut ahin, Gomorrah loujao akona hung jamdoh ahi. Hiche lengpiga ho chu thina thei jing ahin, agaboh jouse jong akha ngen ahi.
But their vine comes from the vine of Sodom, from the fields of Gomorrah. Their grapes are poisonous; they are bitter bunches.
33 Amaho lengpitwi chu gulgu jeng ahin, aboncha gulsegu phalou ngen jeng ahi.
Their wine is the poison of serpents, deadly snake venom.
34 Hichengse keima koma kikhola ahipon, nathil khol khomna in muna chu mohor kinam khuma hilou ham?
I've stored this all up; it's sealed in my vaults.
35 Phulah leh lethuhna kiti hi ania keiya ahi. Ajeh chu keng aki lhonal uva, hamsetna ato na diu ahung nai tan ahileh, hichete manthahna chu hetphah louva hung lhung jeng ding ahi.
I make sure justice is done, I will repay. The time is coming when they will fall, their day of disaster is approaching, their doom will soon arrive.”
36 Ajeh chu Pakaiyin amite suhdihna anei ding, alhachate chunga jong lainatna ahin nei thei ding ahi. Athahat nau aboncha kichai tading, sohchanga ahin ipi hijong leh abeisoh tai, ti amuchet diu ahi.
The Lord is going to vindicate his people; he will be merciful to his servants when he sees that they have no strength left, and that everyone is gone, whether slave or free.
37 Chuteng aman hiti ahi asei ding, hichete pathen limsem thu hoiya um hitam, akisel nau songpi hoiya um hitam, tia asei diu ahi.
He'll ask, “What happened to your gods, the rock where your went for protection?
38 Koiyin hiche teho kilhaina sathao aneh a, lengpitwi don dinga kikoi jong koipen in adon hitam? Hitobang pathen limsem thu hochu hung uvintin, nathoh gimnauva kon in nahung pan pitao hen, ati.
Who ate the fat of your sacrifices and drank the wine of your drink offerings? Have them come and help you; have them come and protect you!
39 Tun neihin vetem un, Pathen kiti chu keima tah hi kahin, keima tailou pathen dang aum pon, keima tah in mihem ka that jin, hin jong ka hinsah kitjin ahi. Kam'a vojin, ka sudam kit jitai, kei khut a kona eichulha jou ding koima dang aum pon ahi.
Listen! I am the only God! There is no other God except me! I bring death, and I give life; I wound, and I heal. No one can be rescued from my power.
40 Ajeh chu keiman vanlam kasang in, atonsot tonsot'a hing jing ka hi jeh in hiti chun ka seiyin ahi.
I hold up my hand to heaven and solemnly declare on my eternal life,
41 Ka chemjam ka kinol hem teng ka khut a kona thutanna ka neiyin ahi. Keima eidou chan chunga phulahna ka lhunsah ding, keima eithette chunga lethuhna ka lhunsah ding ahi.
when I sharpen my shining sword and pick it up to execute judgment, I will repay my enemies and punish those who hate me as they deserve.
42 Kathalpi chang jouse thisan a ka dekot ding, ka chemjam jeng in jong tahsa jeng asat gamhel ding, akithatsa mihemho thisan, sohchanna gal hinga kikai ho, melma samsao tah tah ho lu ka tansah jin ahi.
My arrows will become drunk with blood, as my sword eats flesh; the blood of those who are killed and captured, the heads of the enemy's leaders.”
43 Vo namtin vaipite jouse, vahchoi un amiten, ajeh chu Pakaiyin alhachaa pangte thisan phu chu alatan ahi. Ama doute chunga phu alan, amite ding mong monga gam sung hi asuh theng ahi.
Celebrate with him! Let all God's angels worship him! Celebrate, foreigners, with his people; because he will pay back those who killed his children. He will punish his enemies, and repay those who hate him; he will purify his land and his people.
44 Chuin Mose chu Nun chapa Joshua toh ahung kilhon in, Mose ahin Joshua ahin ahi lhon in Israel mite jouse henga la thu kisei chu ana beng uvah ajah cheh na diuvin asei peh sohkeiyin ahi.
Then Moses came with Joshua son of Nun and recited all the words of this song for the people to hear.
45 Mose’n thu chu jat chu Israel mite jouse henga aseipeh soh keiyin ahi.
After Moses finished reciting the whole song to all the Israelites,
46 Mose’n miho jouse henga hiti hin aseiyin. Tunia keiman naheng uva thu hijat ka seipeh chengse hi na lungthim cheh uvah koi soh keiyun, hichu nung teng nachate hou henga naseipeh thei diu, chuteng amahon jong hiche danthu a kisei doh jouse hi aboldoh tei na diuva ching thei tah a um ding ahiuve.
he told them, “Think about all these words I've declared to you today, so you can order your children to follow carefully everything in this law.
47 Hiche hi nang ho jouse dinga thasetna ding ahipon, nahin theina diujoh ahi. Hichea kona nagal kai nadiu Jordan gal gamsunga khu nahin khou sot ding ahi, tin aheng uvah aseipeh e.
Don't treat these words as trivial because they are your life, and by them you will have long lives in the country that you will own after crossing the Jordan.”
48 Chuni ma ma chun Pakaiyin, Mose jah a hiti hin asei peh in ahi.
That same day the Lord told Moses,
49 Jericho toh kigalsai, Moab gamsunga, Nebo molsang, Abarim molsang kiti lai akhun kaldoh in, hiche muna kon khun keiman Israel mite chenna dinga kapehna gamsung, Canaan gamsung khu nagavet ding ahi, ati.
“Climb up into the Abarim mountains to Mount Nebo, in the land of Moab opposite Jericho, and look over the country of Canaan, which I am giving to the Israelites for them to own.
50 Hiche nakal touna molsang chunga khu nahung thiden ding, namite hotoh nahung kigop khom ding ahi. Hor molsang chunga nasopipa Aaron athia amite toh akigop khom banga nangma jong nachuti ding ahi, ati.
There on the mountain you've climbed, you will die and join your people in death, in the same way your brother Aaron died on Mount Hor and joined his people.
51 Ajeh chu Zin gamthip noi, Meribath-Kadesh tui phunga Israel mite lailungtah ah keima thu napal keh in, hiche muna chun Israel mite lah keima hi atheng in nei bol tapon ahi.
For there at the waters of Meribah-kadesh in the Desert of Zin, you both were unfaithful to me. You misrepresented me to the Israelites when you didn't treat me as holy in their presence.
52 Hijeh achu nangman namasang lama hiche gamsung khu namit a namu bepding, ahinlah keiman Israel mite kapehna gamsung vang nachutlut thei lou ding ahitai.
Though you will see the country that I am giving the Israelites from a distance, you won't enter it.”
