1 Pakai, Pathen thua nanun jing'uva tuni khoa ka thupeh chengse aboncha najui kimsoh keiyuva ahileh, Pakaiyin vannoi leiset a nam jouse lah’a nangho achungnung pena natun diu ahi.
And it shall be, if thou wilt, hearken, unto the voice of Yahweh thy God, to observe to do all his commandments which I am commanding thee to-day, then will Yahweh thy God set thee on high, above all the nations of the earth;
2 Pakai, Pathen thusei aboncha nangai jing'uva ahileh, phattheina lhingset nachan diu ahi.
and all these blessings shall come in upon thee, and reach thee, —because thou dost hearken unto the voice of Yahweh thy God: —
3 Khopi sung le lou jao lah ajong, phattheina lhingset nachan diu ahi.
Blessed shalt, thou be in the city, —and blessed shalt thou be in the field:
4 Natu nachateu jong phatthei na chang jing ding, nalou gasoh jeng ujong phattheina chang ding, nagan chateu jouse jong phattheina chang ding, naganchateu le nasangan teu jouse jong phat theina lhingset chang diu ahi.
Blessed shall be the fruit of thy body, and the fruit of thy ground and the fruit of thy cattle, —the young of thy kine, and the ewes of thy flock:
5 Na dip jeng ujong phattheina chang dimset ding, nachang sum buh ujong phattheina chang ding ahi.
Blessed, shall be thy basket and thy kneading-trough:
6 Na vailhun navaikon teng ujongleh, phattheina nachan diu ahi.
Blessed, shalt thou be when thou comest in, —and, blessed, shalt thou be when thou goest out:
7 Nagal mite jouseu Pakaiyin lethuhna aneiya gal alal sah ding, lampi khat a bou hung kon diu ahin, ahinlah lampi sagi jena jam cheh soh kei diu ahi.
Yahweh will deliver thine enemies who rise up against thee, to be routed before thee, —one way, shall they come out against thee, and seven ways, shall they flee before thee:
8 Na chang pang jong phatthei naboh peh diu, nabol natoh jouseu jong aboncha phatthei naboh peh diu ahi. Pakai, Pathen in napehnau gam sunga chu phattheina lhingset lhung ding ahi.
Yahweh will command to be with thee the blessing, in thy storehouses and in all whereunto thou settest thy hand, —and will bless thee in the land which Yahweh thy God is giving unto thee:
9 Pakai, Pathen thupeh chengse aboncha nanit soh keiyuva, Ama lam jeng nakat uva ahileh, nangho henga akitepna banga vannoi leiset a nam mite jouse lah a, nam dei lhena natun diu ahi.
Yahweh will confirm thee unto himself for a holy people, as he sware unto thee, —because thou dost keep the commandments of Yahweh thy God, and dost walk in his ways.
10 Hitia chu nabol tenguleh, namtin vaipin ama hi Pakai jal ahimong’e ti aphot chet diu, namtin vaipin nagin soh kei diu ahi.
And all the peoples of the earth shall see that, the name of Yahweh, hath been called upon thee, —and shall be afraid of thee.
11 Ima jouse bukimsela phatthei naboh diu, nacha na nanao teu jouse, nagancha teu, nalou ga jouseu, napu napateu khanga pat Pakaiyin asei dohsa kapeh ding ahi, atina gamsunga chu nangho haosatna dimset a naum diu ahi.
And Yahweh will cause thee to abound in that which is good, in the fruit of thy body, and in the fruit of thy cattle and in the fruit of thy soil, —upon the soil which Yahweh sware unto thy fathers, to give unto thee:
12 Chuteng Pakaiyin agoukholna jouse hin hong doh soh keiyin tin, kum kihei phat cha ahibanga gotwi hung juntin, natoh jouseu chu aboncha phattheina changsoh hel ding, namtin vaipi ho na neichan batna napeh diu, ahinlah nanghon mi danga na batlou diu ahi.
Yahweh will open unto thee his rich storehouse—the heavens, to give the rain of thy land in its season, and to bless every work of thy hand, so shalt thou lend unto many nations, but thou, shalt not borrow:
13 Pakaiyin nangho aluchang lama napansah uva, ameito lam mong monga na pansah louhel diu ahi. Khantouna jeng nahi diu, lhahsuh nan nahin jui louhel diu ahi. Tunia chonna dan thupeh chengse aboncha najui kimsoh keiyuva ahileh, nangho phatthei nachan tei diu ahi.
And Yahweh, will give thee, to be the head, and not the tail, and thou shalt be only above, and shalt not be beneath, —because thou dost hearken unto the commandments of Yahweh thy God, which I am commanding thee, to-day, to observe and to do;
14 Tunia ka thupeh chengsea kona hi na kihei mang thei lou diu, jetlam le veilam ani gela na palkeh loudiu, pathen milim semthu hoa kona naki kangse diu, hiche ho tobang chu najen le lou hel diu ahiti, sumil louva nagel doh jing diu ahi.
and dost not turn side from any of the words which I am commanding you to-day, to the right hand or to the left, —to go after other gods, to serve them,
15 Nanghon Pakai, Pathen thupeh nahsah louva na koiyuva, tunia keiman ka thupeh leh ama hoa kona thupeh chonna dan chengse nabol doh theina diuva chingthei tah’a najui lou'uva ahileh, anoiya gaosapna hohin nalhun den jeng diu ahi.
But it shall be, if thou do not hearken unto the voice of Yahweh thy God, to observe to do all his commandments and his statutes which I am commanding thee to-day, then shall come in upon thee all these curses and shall reach thee: —
16 Na chennau khopi sung ahin loumun hi jongleh, gaosapna nachan diu ahi.
Cursed, shalt thou be in the city, —and cursed, shalt thou be in the field:
17 Na dip'u ahin, nachang bong goina jeng ujong, gaosapna chang ding ahi.
Cursed, shall be thy basket, and thy kneading-trough:
18 Na chilhahteu ahin, naleiset ga chung'uva jong gaosapna lhung ding, naganchateu jong pung thei louva, nakelngoi nouteu jong pung be talou ding ahi.
Cursed, shall be the fruit of thy body, and the fruit of thy ground—the young of thy kine and the ewes of thy flock:
19 Na vailhun, navai kondoh geiyuva gaosapna nachan diu ahi.
Cursed, shalt thou be, when thou comest in, —and, cursed, shalt thou be, when thou goest out:
20 Pakai, Pathen in nachung'uva gaosapna tinchang ahin lhun den ding, kisuh nohphahna, lung-opkaina, chule gimna ijakai jouse keima thupeh chengse nadonse tahlou jeh'uva nachung'uva hijatpi chu lhung jeng ding ahi.
Yahweh will send upon thee cursing, confusion and rebuke, in all whereunto thou settest thy hand that thou mayest do it, —until thou be destroyed and until thou perish quickly, because of the wickedness of thy doings, whereby thou hast forsaken me.
21 Na jotna diu gam sunga nachen lut kahseh uva Pakai, Pathen in nachung'uva hise natna jat kim nachung'uva alhunsah ding ahi.
Yahweh will cause to cleave unto thee—the pestilence, —until he hath consumed thee from off the soil which thou art entering to possess.
22 Pakaiyin natna ki dang nachung'uva alhunsah ding, khosih, tipat, tichung sat, chemjam pana nasat gamhel diu, nget leh thing lung nachung'uva alhunsah ding, bolgimna hijatpi hi, nathi masang seuva najui le diu ahi.
Yahweh, will smite thee, with consumption and with fever, and with inflammation and with violent heat and with the sword, and with blight and with mildew, —and they shall pursue thee, until thou perish.
23 Nalu lam'uva von chengse sumeng kisoh tading, natahsa noilam chengseu thing kisoh ding ahi.
And thy heavens which are over thy head shall become bronze, —and the earth which is under thee iron.
24 Chuteng Pakai, Pathen in nagam sung'uva gotwi jouse leivui leh neldi aki sosah ding, nathi masang seuva vana kona hung leng suh suh jing ding ahi.
Yahweh will cause the rain of thy land to be powder and dust, —out of the heavens, shall it come down upon thee, until thou be destroyed.
25 Pakaiyin nangho namel mateu masanga na panpi lou diu, na melmateu toh ki maito dinga lampi khatseh bou na juisah diu, nagal miteu masanga lampi sagi kisoa na jam cheh diu, hi tia chu leiset chunga lenggam jouse lah a kicha puma hinkho naman jing diu ahi.
Yahweh will give thee up to be routed before thine enemies, one way, shalt thou go out against them, and, seven ways, shalt thou flee before them, —and thou shalt become a terror unto all the kingdoms of the earth.
26 Nathi long jouseu chungleng vachaten aneh diu, leiset a ganhing namkim in kivahna anei diu, hitia chu aneh tenguleh, leiset a mihem khat jeng cha jong ahoh mang dinga hung ki lulah lou diu ahi.
And thy dead body shall become food for every bird of the heavens, and for the beast of the earth, —with none to fright them away.
27 Chuteng Pakaiyin Egypt gamsunga naum laiyuva uilut ana lansah banga ahin lansah kit ding, na tichung'u pom ding, thisan soh leu ding, boldammo hela tipat natna naneiyuva hinkho naman diu ahi.
Yahweh, will smite thee, with the burning sores of Egypt and with the hemorrhoids, and with scab, and with itch, —of which thou canst not be healed.
28 Pakaiyin nangol sah diu, kho namu thei lou diu, nalung thim pumpiu na suhnoh phahpeh diu ahi.
Yahweh, will smite thee, with madness and with blindness, —and with terror of heart;
29 Chuteng nangho mitcho banga sun jenga jong naki mai lele diu, ipia ki salal jong leu chun na machal thei lou diu, mitin in nasuh genthei diu chule amaho chun nachom gamset diu ahina laiye.
and thou shalt he groping about in noonday brightness, as the blind man gropeth in thick darkness, and thou shalt not make thy ways prosper, —but shalt be only oppressed and spoiled all the days with none to save.
30 Jidia numei nakihol diu, amanu chu pasal dangkhat toh lum khom ding, in jong naki sah diu hinlah asunga nachen theilou diu ahi. Chule lengpi lei jong nalho diu, ahinlah aga chu naneh thei lou diu ahi.
A wife, shalt thou betroth, and, another man shall lie with her. A house, shalt thou build, and shalt not dwell therein, —A vineyard, shalt thou plant, and shalt not throw it open;
31 Nama sang laiyuva na bongchal uchu ki that ding ahinlah asa chu naneh thei lou diu, hunama nasangan'u kila ding ahinlah na kile lah thei tah lou diu, nakelngoi jeng ujong nangho melmate khut a kipedoh ding, koi machan nangho napan hu tahlou diu ahi.
Thine ox slaughtered before thine eyes, and thou shalt not eat thereof, Thine ass stolen from before thee, and shall not be restored to thee, —Thy flock given to thine enemies, and thou shalt have none to save.
32 Chule nachanuteu ahin, nachapateu abonchauva namdang te khut a kipedoh tadiu, nilhum in velhi jong leuchun nachan kit tahlou diu, naban thahat'u pana amaho chudoh jouna tha nanei lou diu ahi.
Thy sons and thy daughters given to another people, thine eyes looking on, and failing for them all the day, thine own hand being powerless.
33 Imatih a nahet khah lou'u nam dang khat in, nalou-gasoh'u nahin hampeh chai keiyun tin, chuteng nangho chunga tantih nei louva hiche thoh gimna chu umjing ding ahi.
The fruit of thy soil, and all thy toilsome produce, shall a people whom thou knowest not, eat up, —and thou shalt be only oppressed and crushed, all the days;
34 Namit teniuvin venan nate, ahinlah nangho mingol kibol nabanga na kidel mang diu ahi.
so that thou shalt be mad, —for the sight of thine eyes which thou shalt see.
35 Natibah hou hungdul doh ding, abeh beh a hung pat ding, na kengtouva pat nalu chan'u pat ding nadam doh lou diu ahi.
Yahweh, will smite thee, with a grievous boil, upon the knees and upon the legs, of which thou canst not be healed, —from the sole of thy foot even unto the crown of thy head.
36 Nangho nahiuvin, nachung'uva lengvai homte ahin, Pakaiyin napu, napateu jeng in jong ahet phah louhel nam mite khat angsunga nahin puilut diu, hiche muna chu thing le songa kisem pathen lim nahou diu ajen lea napan diu ahi.
Yahweh will bring thee and thy king whom thou wilt set up over thee, unto a nation which thou hast not known, thou nor thy fathers, —and thou shalt serve there other gods of wood and of stone.
37 Hiche muna chu Pakaiyin napui lhung diu, mitin ma angsunga kicha puma naum lodiu, imatih chana sei chah a naum diu ahi.
Thus shalt thou become a horror, a byword, and a mockery, among all the peoples whither Yahweh thy God will drive thee.
38 Chule loulaiya tuthei muchi ijakai napoh diu, ahinlah aga seikham lou chakhat nalo khom diu, ajeh chu khaokhopi ten aneh chaigam diu ahibouve.
Much seed, shalt thou take out into the field, —and little, shalt thou gather in, for the locust shall consume it.
39 Lengpi lei jeng jong nalho'uva naki sah lel pi diu, ahinlah lengpitwi chu nadon louhel diu, hiche lengpi chu lung in aneh gamset ding ahi.
Vineyards, shalt thou plant, and dress, —but wine, shalt thou not drink, neither shalt thou gather the grapes, for the worm shall eat them.
40 Nachennau gamsunga Olive thingphung tampi nanei diu, ahinlah atwi chu nakinu thei deh deh lou diu ahi. Ajeh chu Olive thingphung nanei chengseu aboncha kisat chop ding ahi.
Olive trees, shalt thou have in all thy bounds, —but with oil, shalt thou not anoint thyself, for thine olives, shall drop off.
41 Chule nanghon chapa tamtah nanei diu, ahinlah khat a khat jeng cha jong nachan lou diu, aboncha sohchang dinga chediu chule nangho panhu ding mihem khat jeng cha jong kisep lou ding ahi.
Sons and daughters, shalt thou beget, and they shall not be thine, for they shall go into captivity.
42 Nathing phunghou ahin chule nachennau leiset aboncha khaokhote chenna jeng ding ahibouve.
All thy trees, and the fruit of thy ground, shall the grasshopper, devour.
43 Na heng'uva hung chenga kholjin mi chu nangho sanga khang toujing ding, nangho vang na kheh suh cheh cheh diu ahi.
The sojourner who is in thy midst, shall mount up above thee higher and higher, —whereas, thou, shalt come down lower and lower:
44 Nanghon jong ama koma chu thil ijakai bat a nakilah diu, ama jeng hatna chang ding, nangho ameiya napan diu amavang alua pang ding ahi.
he, shall lend to thee, but, thou, shalt not lend to him, —he, shall become head, and, thou, shalt become tail.
45 Hiche ho jouse hi gaosapna ahin nachung'uva lhung tading, hichengse chun nangho nung ahindel ding naphah thu thu'uva, chuteng nangho naki suhgep hel diu ahi, ajeh chu nanghon Pakai, Pathen thusei nangai tapouvin, achonna dan thupeh chengse jong jui ding nagel lou-u ahi.
Moreover, all these curses, shall come in upon thee, and pursue thee and overtake thee, until thou be destroyed, —because thou didst not hearken unto the voice of Yahweh thy God, to keep his commandments and his statutes which he hath commanded thee;
46 Hitobang gaosapna hi nachung'uva umjing ding, melchihna le datmo umtah soh ding, nachi lhahteu chan geiya mangthei louva umjing ding ahi.
and they shall be upon thee, for a sign, and for a wonder, and upon thy seed, unto times age-abiding.
47 Chuteng nangho thil hijat jouse chunga hin lungthim kipah in naum jou tahih uvin, Pakai, Pathen kin jeng jong bolding nago tapouve.
Because thou servedst not Yahweh thy God, with rejoicing, and with gladness of heart, for abundance of all things,
48 Chule nangho gilkela naum diu, ponsil jeng jong nanei lou diu, thilse hijat chunga jong Pakaiyin namel mateu dinga ahinsol miho jenlea napan diu, naman thah kahseuva sohnam kihen oh nachun nakan chah diu ahi.
therefore shalt thou serve thine enemies, whom Yahweh will send against thee, with hunger and with thirst and with nakedness, and with want of all things, —and he, will put a yoke of iron upon thy neck, until he hath destroyed thee.
49 Hitia chu nangho toh kidou dinga Pakaiyin, leiset kol ning lam akon nam khat ahin puiya, muvanlai banga hung leng lut jeng diu, hiche nam mite pao chu het jong nahet phah lou diu,
Yahweh will bring against thee a nation from afar, from the end of the earth, as darteth a bird of prey, —a nation whose tongue thou canst not understand;
50 Hiche nam mite chu ahang san uvin, upa ho jong aging pouvin chule khangdong ho jong aging pouvin ahi.
a nation of fierce countenance, —who wilt not respect an elder nor to the young, show favour;
51 Amaho hin nagancha teu akitha diu, nasuh gep kahse uva abol diu, na chang jeng ujong themcha akhen lou diu, lengpithei leh thaotwi themcha jong akhen lou diu, nagan chateu ahin na kelngoinouteu ahin, aboncha asuh gamkah seuva amahon nachennau gamsung adalhah louhel diu ahi.
then shall he eat the young of thy cattle and the fruit of thy ground until thou art destroyed, who will not leave for thee corn, new wine or oil, the young of thy kine, or the ewes of thy flock, —until he hath caused thee to perish.
52 Na chennau gam na kisonpi namun'u khopi kul sangtah tah’a ki kaina mun ho, naum kim veluva avoh chim kah seuva ano khum diu, hitobanga chu Pakai, Pathen in napehnau gamsung khopi jousea ngengsi khong tading, tang louva na umkhum diu ahi.
And he shall lay siege to thee in all thy gates, until thy high and fortified walls come down wherein thou wast trusting, in all thy land, —yea he will lay siege to thee in all thy gates, in all thy land which Yahweh thy God, hath given, unto thee.
53 Nanghoa kon ahung pengdoh nachanuteu leh nachapateu aboncha Pakaiya kona gou thilpeh manlutah hijongleh, namel mateu'vin nahin umkhum uva nagim behseh tenguleh na kitha diu amaho chu anneh a nanei diu ahi.
And thou wilt eat the fruit of thy body, the flesh of thy sons and of thy daughters, whom Yahweh thy God hath given unto thee—in the siege and in the straitness wherewith thine enemy will straiten thee.
54 Nangho lah a milung neng ahin, ahongphal ahin, nasopi ahin, najinu hijongleh neh ding vetsahna a hung pang tading, nachateu lah uva athinu khah pen jong chu neh ki chupia hung pang ding ahi.
The man that is tender among you, and exceedingly delicate, his eye will be jealous of his brother and of the wife of his bosom, and of the remnant of his sons, whom be might leave behind;
55 Mi phatah khat jong chun achate akithaa aneh teng, ama tahsa jeng jong chu hop ding agel louhel ding ahi. Ajeh chu namel mateu vin na khopi sung jouseu aumkimvel soh hel tauvin ahileh, nagim behseh jeng tauve.
so that he will not give to any one of them, of the flesh of his sons which he will eat, because he hath nothing at all left him, —in the siege and in the straitness wherewith thine enemy will straiten thee within all thy gates.
56 Chule numei chonnem tah le lungneng nu, achon nem behseh jeh a akeng khotaljum jeng jong tol chotsah nom louhel nu chun, ajipa le achanu leh achapte jeng jong akitha aneh ding ahi.
The tender and delicate woman among you who hath never adventured the sole of her foot to set it upon the ground, through delicateness and through tenderness, her eye shall be jealous of the husband of her bosom, and of her own son, and of her own daughter;
57 Hiche numei hochun, akal kah akona hung peng naosen chu akidop lhah a aneh jeng diu ahi. Ajeh chu namel mateu vin nasugim behseh tauvin, na umkhum sohhel tauvin ahileh, neh leh chah ijakai khat a khat jengcha jong muna nanei tapouve.
both as to her afterbirth that cometh forth from between her feet and as to her children which she shall bear, for she will eat them for want of all things secretly, —in the siege and in the straitness wherewith thine enemy will straiten thee within thine own gates.
58 Hijeh chun hiche lekhabua danthu kijih jouse hi aboncha nanit bukimsoh keiyuva, limgeh chaa nakho sah lou'uva, Pakai, Pathen hi na kichat a najabol diu ahi.
If thou wilt not take heed to do all the words of this law, which are written in this scroll, —to revere this glorious and reverend name, Yahweh thy God,
59 Achuti louva ahileh, Pakaiyin nachung'uva gim gentheina sangpen ahin lhunsah ding, hiche chung chona chu natna nasatah hung lhung ding tantih nei louva nadammo diu nachung'uva hichu ahin lhunsah ding ahi.
then will Yahweh make thy plagues wonderful, and the plagues of thy seed, —plagues great and lasting, and diseases grievous and lasting;
60 Egypt gamsunga nat thohlel naho jouse avela nachung'uva ahin lhunsah ding, tantih nei louva gim genthei nathoh diu ahi.
and he will bring back on thee all the sickness of Egypt, because of which thou wast afraid, —and they shall cleave unto thee;
61 Nangho naki suh mang kahseava dinga danthua kijih lutlou natna jouse hi, Pakaiyin nachung'uva ahin lhunsah ding ahi.
even every disease and, every plague, which are not written in this scroll of the law, will Yahweh bring up against thee, until thou art destroyed,
62 Nangho hapun in pungbe uvin lang, vanna ahsija pha jong leu chun, lhomcha bou nahi diu ahi. Ajeh chu nanghon Pakai, Pathen thusei nangai tapouve.
And ye shall be left men few in number, whereas ye had become as the stars of the heavens for multitude, —because thou hast not hearkened unto the voice of Yahweh thy God.
63 Pakaiyin nachung'uva thilpha ahin lhunsah a alung oi ji bang’a, hitobang gimna ahung lhun teng jongleh lungoi ding ahi. Na chennau gamsunga kona nadel mang jeng diu ahi.
And it shall come to pass that as Yahweh rejoiced over you to do you good and to multiply you, so, will Yahweh rejoice over you, to cause you to perish and to destroy you, —and ye shall be torn away, from off the soil, whither thou art going in to possess it;
64 Pakaiyin leiset kong ningli jousea nathe cheh jeng diu, napu napateu jeng in jong ahet khah louna mun, hiche muna chu milim semthu pathen nahou diu, akinbola nagapan diu ahi.
and Yahweh will scatter thee among all the peoples, from one end of the earth even unto the other end of the earth, —and thou wilt serve there other gods whom thou hast not known—thou nor thy fathers, —of wood and of stone.
65 Chule hiche munhoa chu namtin vaipi dimlha jeng ding, ong thol heuva nachen louhel diu, na keng khotal kisan'u kichol lou ding, nalungthim'u linglao tading, namit vet jeng ujong phamo tading, nahinkho jeng ujong genthei ding maonaa kichai ding ahi.
And among those nations, shalt thou find no ease, neither shall there be a place of rest for the sole of thy foot, —but Yahweh will give unto thee there a trembling heart, and a failing of eyes and faintness of soul.
66 Asun ajana kichatna jing hinkho naman diu, nahinkho sung'uva lungngam pela naum thei lou diu ahi.
And thy life will be hung up for thee in front, —and thou wilt be in dread by night and by day, and wilt not trust in thy life.
67 Jingkah ahileh, O nilhah ka lhangai ta ngeiye, nilhah teng O, jingkah ka lhangai ta ngei! tia nasei diu, namit teniuva navet diu hichu kichatna jing in navop diu, hahsatna chun naum pi jing diu ahi.
In the morning, thou wilt say—Oh that it were evening! and in the evening, thou wilt say—Oh that it were morning! because of the dread of thy heart which thou wilt dread, and because of the sight of thine eyes which thou wilt see.
68 Chujou tengleh Pakaiyin Egypt gam lama nahin lepui kit diu, kei man hiche lampi chu nale che kit lou diu ahi, tijong leng Pakaiyin nahin lepui kit diu, namel mateu angsunga soh numei chule soh pasala nagapan soh keidiu, hiche jouse nunga jong chu koiman nachoh nom lou diu ahi.
And Yahweh will take thee back again to Egypt in ships, by the way whereof I said unto thee, Thou shalt not again any more see it. And ye will offer yourselves there for sale unto thine enemies as servants and as handmaids with no one to buy.
