Danbu Ni Na 12
1 Hichengse hi napu, napateu khanga Pakai, Pathen in dan leh thupeh jui dinga na peh’u ahi. Hoilai mun hijongleh nadam sunguva najui jing diu ahi.
These are the precepts and judgments, that you must do in the land, which the Lord the God of thy fathers will give thee, to possess it all the days that thou shalt walk upon the earth.
2 Hiche gam khu nalhun uva, nam dangte abonchauva nano mang tenguleh, a pathen milim semthu jouseu molchunga hihen, gammang lah chule thingphung tinchenga hijongleh nasuh manghel diu ahi.
Destroy all the places in which the nations, that you shall possess, worshipped their gods upon high mountains, and hills, and under every shady tree:
3 Amaicham hou nasuh set diu chule maicham phung jouse jong nasuh chim diu ahi. Asherah ho jong meiya nahal vam diu chule apathen min jouseu aboncha nasuh manghel diu ahi.
Overthrow their altars, and break down their statues, burn their groves with fire, and break their idols in pieces: destroy their names out of those places.
4 Hiche Pagan miten pathen ahou banga nanghon nahou lou diu ahi.
You shall not do so to the Lord your God:
5 Amavang nang hon Pakai, Pathen houna ding muna Israel insung aboncha kikhop khomna muna chu, gin leh jabol tah’a nahou diu ahi.
But you shall come to the place, which the Lord your God shall choose out of all your tribes, to put his name there, and to dwell in it:
6 Hiche muna chu pumgo thilto nahin choi diu, nathilto diu soma khat, kitepna suhbuh lhitna ding thilto chule na gancha penglha masa jouseu jong na todoh cheh cheh diu ahi.
And you shall offer in that place your holocausts and victims, the tithes and firstfruits of your hands and your vows and gifts, the firstborn of your herds and your sheep.
7 Hiche muna chu nang leh na insung miten Pakai ansunga an neh khom nanei diu, Pakai phatthei naho nachan diu ahi, ajeh chu nangman Pakai thupeh nanit jal ahi.
And you shall eat there in the sight of the Lord your God: and you shall rejoice in all things, whereunto you shall put your hand, you and your houses wherein the Lord your God hath blessed you.
8 Pakai kin nabol danu jong kikhel ding ahi. Tunin nabon chauvin natao uve.
You shall not do there the things we do here this day, every man that which seemeth good to himself.
9 Ajeh chu Pakaiyin atumbeh a napeh naugam nangho jouse dinga choldona gam chu na lhun nailou’u ahi.
For until this present time you are not come to refit, and to the possession, which the Lord your God will give you.
10 Hinlah nanghon chomlou kah’a Jordan vadung nagal kai diu chule gamsung nalhun diu ahi. Pakaiyin nagal mite hou jouse akona choldamna napeh tenguleh,
You shall pass over the Jordan, and shall dwell in the land which the Lord your God will give you, that you may have rest from all enemies round about: and may dwell without any fear,
11 na bonchauva keiman ka thupeh chengse nahin choi diu pumgo thilto, na thilto diu ho, kitepna suh bulhit nading thilto hichengse hi, Pakai amintheng loupina ding muna chu nahin choisoh kei diu ahi.
In the place, which the Lord your God shall choose, that his name may be therein. Thither shall you bring all the things that I command you, holocausts, and victims, and tithes, and the firstfruits of your hands: and whatsoever is the choicest in the gifts which you shall vow to the Lord.
12 Hiche muna chu nachanuteu ahin, nachapateu chule nasohte jouseu jaona Pakai henga thangvahna nanei khom diu ahi. Chule khopi sunga nachen khompiu Levi mite nagel doh jing diu ahi. Ajeh chu amahon gam chanvou anei lou’u ahi.
There shall you feast before the Lord your God, you and your sons and your daughters, your menservants and maid-servants, and the Levite that dwelleth in your cities. For he hath no other part and possession among you.
13 Nangho chingtheiyun, ajeh chu mun jousea pumgo thilto na katdoh thei lou diu ahi.
Beware lest thou offer thy holocausts in every place that thou shalt see:
14 Na insung miteu chenna mun, hichu Pakaiyin adeilhenna muna vang chu natodoh thei diu ahi. Hiche muna chu pumgo thilto natodoh diu chule ka thupeh aboncha nabol kimsoh kei diu ahi.
But in the place which the Lord shall choose in one of thy tribes shalt thou offer sacrifices. and shalt do all that I command thee.
15 Nagan chate vang chu na kitha a khopi tinchanga naneh jeng theiyu ahi. Pakai, Pathen in phatthei aboh ganchaho chu nadei chan naneh jeng theiyu ahi. Sakhisa leh Sapeng jong naneh bang bang uva hi nanop chan’u naneh thei diu ahi.
But if thou desirest to eat, and the eating of flesh delight thee, kill, and eat according to the blessing of the Lord thy God, which he hath given thee, in thy cities: whether it be unclean, that is to say, having blemish or defect: or clean, that is to say, sound and without blemish, such as may be offered, as the roe, and the hart, shalt thou eat it:
16 Gan thisanho vang chu meiya nago lou diu, chule gan thisan jouse chu tollham a twi kisung banga nasun lhah diu ahi.
Only the blood thou shalt not eat, but thou shalt pour it out upon the earth as water.
17 Hinlah nanghon na thilto hou chu na khopi sung uva naneh thei lou diu, hichu soma khat ahin, gathah, Olive thao, nagancha asoh masaho ahin chule kitepna thilto, chule mimal kipehna thilto ho hijongleh khopi dunga naneh thang lou diu ahi.
Thou mayst not eat in thy towns the tithes of thy corn, and thy wine, and thy oil, the firstborn of thy herds and thy cattle, nor any thing that thou vowest, and that thou wilt offer voluntarily, and the firstfruits of thy hands:
18 Hichengse chu Pakaiyin adeilhen na muna chu naneh diu ahi. Na chateu ahin, nasohteu ahin chule khopi sunga Levi mite jaona hichu Pakai, Pathen ansunga golvah nabol khom diu ahi.
But thou shalt eat them before the Lord thy God in the place which the Lord thy God shall choose, thou and thy son and thy daughter, and thy manservant, and maidservant, and the Levite that dwelleth in thy cities: and thou shalt rejoice and be refreshed before the Lord thy God in all things, whereunto thou shalt put thy hand.
19 Chule nadam sung uva Levi mite nageldoh jing diu ahi.
Take heed thou forsake not the Levite all the time that thou livest in the land.
20 Pakaiyin akitepna banga nagam-u ahin keh let ding, nang hon sa nadu chanu hoilai muna hijongleh naneh thei diu ahi.
When the Lord thy God shall have enlarged thy borders, as he hath spoken to thee, and thou wilt eat the flesh that thy soul desireth:
21 Hichu Pakai deilhenna mun, Pakaiyin akinbol nadia adeilhen namun’a jong naneh thei diu nain muna pat kenglama saotah kijot ahi. Chutengleh gancha lah’a nakel hon, na kelngoi hon chule nabong hon lah’a nadei na kitha uva naneh jeng theiyu ahi.
And if the place which the Lord thy God shall choose, that his name should be there, be far off, thou shalt kill of thy herds and of thy flocks, as I have commanded thee, and shalt eat in thy towns, as it pleaseth thee.
22 Nalah uva koi hijongleh atheng hihen, aboh hileh hichu aneh jeng thei ding, Sapeng le Sakhisa banga naneh diu ahi.
Even as the roe and the hart is eaten, so shalt thou eat them: both the clean and unclean shall eat of them alike.
23 Gan thisan vang chu meiya nago vam thei lou diu ahi. Ajeh chu thisan hi hinkho tobang ahin, hinna thisan chule gancha meiya na gotha lou diu ahi.
Only beware of this, that thou eat not the blood, for the blood is for the soul: and therefore thou must not eat the soul with the flesh:
24 Hiche khel chun ganthisan chu, twi banga tol lhama nasun lhah diu ahi.
But thou shalt pour it upon the earth as water,
25 Gan thisan chu meiya nago vam louhel diu ahi. Chutileh nangho leh nachateu nabon chau chunga, ijakai phacham kimsoh kei ding ahi. Ajeh chu nanghon Pakai lunglam nabol jeh’u ahi.
That it may be well with thee and thy children after thee, when thou shalt do that which is pleasing in the sight of the Lord.
26 Atumbeh a nathilpeh diu leh kitepna thilto chu choiyun lang, Pakaiyin adei lhenna muna chu naga koi diu ahi.
But the things which thou hast sanctified and vowed to the Lord, thou shalt take, and shalt come to the place which the Lord shall choose:
27 Nanghon Pakai, Pathen maicham phunga chu pumgo thilto gan thisan naga todoh teitei diu ahi. Gan thisan jouse chu Pakai maicham kimvela nathe khum soh kei diu, asa vang naneh thei diu ahi.
And shalt offer thy oblations the flesh and the blood upon the altar of the Lord thy God: the blood of thy victims thou shalt pour on the altar: and the flesh thou thyself shalt eat.
28 Chingtheiyun ka thupeh aboncha najui kim soh kei diu ahi. Chutileh nangho leh nachateu chunga ijakai phacham kimsoh ding ahi, ajeh chu Pakai lunglama nachon jalu ahi.
Observe and hear all the things that I command thee, that it may be well with thee and thy children after thee for ever, when thou shalt do what is good and pleasing in the sight of the Lord thy God.
29 Pakai, Pathen na-masang lamuva che jing ding, chuteng nam dangte jam gam diu agamsunga kona asuh manghel diu ahi.
When the Lord thy God shall have destroyed before thy face the nations, which then shalt go in to possess, and when thou shalt possess them, and dwell in their land:
30 Hiche muna chu achon chan’u jui ding nagot louhel diu chule apathen hou kin jong nabol lou heldiu ahi. A pathen hou chungchang hetnomna jong nei louva, hiche nam mite hin pathen iti ahou uham tiajong nadoh lou diu ahi.
Beware lest thou imitate them, after they are destroyed at thy coming in, and lest thou seek after their ceremonies, saying: As these nations have worshipped their gods, so will I also worship.
31 Nanghon nam dangten apathen’u ahou bang uva Pakai, Pathen nahou louhel diu ahi. Ajeh chu amahon Pakai lama dinga doumah jeng abol uvin, achapateu leh achanute hou jeng jong apathen diuva akat doh jiu ahi.
Thou shalt not do in like manner to the Lord thy God. For they have done to their gods all the abominations which the Lord abhorreth, offering their sons and daughters, and burning them with fire.
32 Hijeh chun ka thupeh jouse hi chingthei tah’a najui diu ahi. Nanghoa kona ima ki lahdoh sah hih unlang chule amahoa kona jong imacha lah ding nagot lou diu ahi.
What I command thee, that only do thou to the Lord: neither add any thing, nor diminish.
