< Acts 2 >

1 Pentecost nikho chun tahsan chate jouse chu munkhat a ana umkhomun ahi.
And, when the day of pentecost was filling up [the number of days] they were all together with one intent; —
2 Chuin phulou helouvin van'a konin hui hattah gin tobang ahung ging in, atoukhom nau inchu ahung dimset jengtan ahi.
When there came suddenly out of heaven a sound, just as of a mighty rushing wind, —and it filled all the house where they were sitting;
3 Chuin meikong toh kilou ahiloule meikong banga kong lei ahung kilah in amaho jouse chunga chun achutan ahi.
And there appeared unto them—parting asunder—tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each one of them;

And they were all filled with Holy Spirit, and began to be speaking with other kinds of tongues just as the Spirit was giving unto them to be sounding forth.
5 Hichepet a chu vannoi gamtin a kona hungkhom Judah hougut hojong Jerusalema um'u ahi.
Now there were in Jerusalem sojourning Jews, reverent men from every nation who were under heaven;

And this sound occurring the throng came together and was thrown into confusion, because each one severally heard in his own language them who were speaking;
7 Chuin amaho chun kidang asauvin, “Hiche hi iti hithei ham?” tin adatmo lheh jengun ahi. “Hiche mite hi abonchauva Galilee mi ahiuvin,
Yea they were beside themselves and did marvel, saying—Lo! are not all these who are speaking Galilaeans?
8 ahinlah eihon eima eima penna gam cheh paovin ijauve!
How then do, we, hear each one in our own language in which we were born?
9 Eiho hila Parthia mi, Mede mi, Elam mi ihiuvin, abang Mesopotamia gam'a cheng, Judah gam le Cappadocia gam'a cheng, Pontus gam'a le Asia gam'a cheng,
Parthians and Medes and Elamites, and those dwelling in Mesopotamia, Judaea also and Cappadocia, Pontus and Asia,
10 Phrygia le Pamphylia gam'a cheng, Egypt gam'a cheng chule Cyrene gam vel'a, Libya gam'a cheng ihiuvin; abang Rome a kona hung kholjin, Judah chona chonho,
Phrygia also and Pamphylia, Egypt and the parts of the Libya that is towards Cyrene, and the sojourning Romans, —both Jews and proselytes,
11 chule Crete mi le Arab gam mi ihiuvin; ahivang in eima pao cheh-a Pathen thilbol loupi thu aseiyu thakhat jah-in ijauve,” atiuvin ahi.
Cretans and Arabians, we do hear them speaking in our own tongues the magnificent things of God.
12 Amaho chun kidang asauvin adatmo lheh jengun “Itidan ahidem,” tin khat le khat akidongto tauvin ahi.
But they were all beside themselves and were utterly at a loss, saying one to another—What doth this please to be?
13 Ahivang in mipi lah a konkhat chun ajontaiyun, “Hiteho hi lengpi twi kham ahiuve,” atiuvin ahi.
While, others, in mockery were saying—With sweet wine, are they drunken!
14 Chuin Peter chu solchah dang somlekhat chutoh adingdoh in mipi ho koma chun aw sangtah in asamin ajah uva, “Phatechan ngaiyuvin, Judah mite le Jerusalema cheng mite! Hiche thuhi nanghon hekhel hih'un,
But, taking his stand, Peter with the eleven lifted up his voice, and sounded out unto them—Ye men of Judaea, and all ye who are sojourning in Jerusalem! Let, this, unto you be known, and give ear unto my declarations; —
15 Nangho ngaito banga hiteho hi lengpitwi kham ahipouve, ajeh chu tuhi jingkah nidan ko ahinalai bouve.
For not, as, ye, suppose, are these men drunken, for it is the third hour of the day; —
16 Ahin hiche namu'uhi Joel themgaopan anaphon dohsa guilhunna ahibouve:
But this is that which hath been spoken through the prophet Joel—
17 ‘Pathen in’ ni nunung lamle hiti ding ahi, mijouse chunga ka-Lhagao kabuhlhah ding ahi. Nachapateu le nachanu teuvin gaothu asei dingu, chule na khangdong-houvin mu aneiyuva, chule na Upa houvin mang anei dingu ahi.
And it shall be, in the last days saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and, your young men, visions shall see and, your elders, in dreams shall dream, —
18 Hiche niteng chule kasoh pasalte le kasoh numeite chunga ka-Lhagao kabuhlhah ding amahon gaothu asei dingu ahi.
And, even upon my men-servants and upon my maid-servants in those days, will I pour out of my Spirit, and they shall prophesy;
19 chuleh vana thil kidang tampi kasosah ding, leiset chunga melchihna tampi-thisan, meikong le meikhu kamusah ding ahi.
And I will set forth wonders in the heaven above, and signs upon the earth beneath, —blood and fire and vapour of smoke:
20 Pakai hungkitna nikho loupitah ahung lhun masanga, Nisa hungthim ding, lha jong thisan soh ding ahi.”
The sun, shall be turned into darkness and, the moon, into blood, —before the coming of the day of the Lord, the great and manifest [day];
21 Ahinlah koi hijongle Pakai min kou jouse sohcha ding ahi.
And it shall be—Whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord, shall be saved.
22 “Nangho Israel mite, ngaiyuvin! Pathen in Nazareth Yeshua chu nangho lah a amanchah-a bolmo kidang, datmo umho, chule melchihna ho abola kona chu aphotchetsah ahin, hichu nanghon nahet u ahi.
Ye men of Israel! hear these words: —Jesus the Nazarene, a man pointed out of God unto you by mighty works and wonders and signs, which God did through him in your midst, just as ye yourselves know,
23 Ahin Pathen in ahet masat le agontoh masat bang in Yeshua chu pehdoh in aumtan ahileh nanghon dan neilou chidang namdangte toh kithon thingpel a nakhenbeh un nathat tauvin ahi.”
The same, by the marked out counsel and foreknowledge of God given up, through the hands of lawless men, suspending, ye slew,
24 Ahin Pathen in Ama chu kichat umtah thina-a konin alha-ong in hinna ape kit tan ahi ajeh chu thina in atuhden hoi ahilou jeh chun.
Whom, God, raised up, loosing the pangs of death, inasmuch as it was, not possible, for him to continue held fast by it.
25 Leng David in Ama thudol aseiyin, “Keiman Pakai chu kamaikoh-a kamu jinge; keima kalonle louding ahi ajeh chu kajetlama ama aum jinge.
For, David, saith concerning him—I foresaw the Lord before me continually, because he is, on my right hand, that I may not be shaken;
26 Hijeh chun kalung akipah-in, chule kalei athanome; chuche kalval chun katahsa jong kinem'a cholnga ding ahi;
For this reason, was my heart made glad and my tongue exulted, —ye further, even my flesh, shall encamp on hope:
27 Ajeh chu nangman kalhagao mithiho lah a nadalhah louding, namitheng mon mangna namusah louding ahi. (Hadēs g86)
Because thou wilt not abandon my soul unto hades, neither wilt thou give thy man of lovingkindness to see corruption; (Hadēs g86)
28 Nangman keima hina lampi neihetsah ahitan, namaisoa kipana neidip ding ahi, ati.”
Thou madest known unto me paths of life, thou wilt make me full of gladness with thy countenance.
29 “Sopite ho, hiche thuhi ngaito temuvin, Ipu-u David in ama chungchang thu asei ahilou dan kicheh tah in iheuve, ajeh chu ama athi in, akivuina lhanmun jeng jong tugeiyin eiholah-a aumin ahi.
Brethren! it is, allowable, to say with freedom of speech unto you, concerning the patriarch David, —that he both died and was buried, and, his tomb, is among us until this day.
30 Ahin ama themgao ahijeh chun, Pathen in Ama taiguiya pengkhat alal touna a atousah ding, kihahsela athutep chu ahen,
Being then, a prophet, and knowing that, with an oath, God had sworn unto him, of the fruit of his loins, to seat on his throne,
31 Chutia chu khonung thu ahet masah jeh chun Messiah thokit thu aseiyin, ‘Thikhol khul'ah dalhah denin aumpoi, Alongin jong monmangna amupoi,’ ati. (Hadēs g86)
With foresight, spake he concerning the resurrection of the Christ—that neither was he abandoned unto hades, nor did his flesh see corruption. (Hadēs g86)
32 Pathen in Yeshua chu thina a konin akaithouvin, keiho jouse hi ahettoh kahiuve.
The same Jesus, hath God raised up, whereof, all we, are witnesses!
33 Tun Ama vana Pathen khut jet lama choisangin aumin, athutepsa Lhagao Theng chu a-Pa a konin amun, hichu ahin bunglhan, tua namu'u najah-u hi ahi.
By the right hand of God, therefore, having been exalted, also, the promise of the Holy Spirit, having received from the Father, He hath poured out this which, yourselves, do see and hear.
34 David chu amatah vana akaltou lou vang'in hitin aseiye, ‘Pakai chun ka Pakai jah a, jabolna mun kakhut jetlam'a tou jingin,
For, David, hath not ascended into the heavens; but he saith, himself, —Said the Lord unto my Lord, Sit thou at my right hand,
35 Namelmate kasuhnem a, nakeng chotpha a kaneisah masang sen,’ ati.
Until I make thy foes thy footstool.
36 Chuti ahijeh chun Israel chate jousen heuvin, Pathen in hiche Yeshua, thingpel chunga nakhatbehpau chu Pakai le Messiah dinga atundoh ahitai!”
Assuredly, then, let all the house of Israel know: that, both Lord and Christ, hath God made him, even the same Jesus whom, ye, crucified!
37 Peter thusei chun alungthim'u asuntan ahile amahon Peter le seijui dangho koma chun, “Sopite ho keihon ipi kabol dingu ham?” atiuvin ahi.
And, when they heard this, they were pricked to the heart, and said unto Peter and the rest of the apostles—What are we to do, brethren?
38 Peter in adonbut in, “Nachonset lungheiyun lang Pathen lama hung kiheiyun, chule nachonset nau ngaidama aum jeh in Yeshua Christa minin twiya baptize changun, chutengle Lhagao Theng thilpeh nachan dingu ahi.
And Peter [said] unto them—Repent ye, and let each one of you be immersed, in the name of Jesus Christ, into the remission of your sins, —and ye shall receive the free-gift of the Holy Spirit;
39 Hiche thutep hi nangho le nachateu ding, chule chidang namdangte ding le, Pakai Pathen in akou mite jouse dinga jong ahi,” ati.
For, unto you, is the promise, and unto your children, —and unto all them who are afar off: as many soever as the Lord our God shall call unto him.
40 Chule Peter in thutampi asei jomjing nalaiyin, amaho chu atilkhouvin, “Hiche khang gilou mite-a kon hin kihuhdoh un,” atin ahi.
And, with many different words, bare he frail witness, and went on exhorting them saying—Be saved from this perverse generation!
41 Hiche nikho a Peter thusei tahsanho jouse chu twija baptize achangun, hiche nikho chun Houbung mi sangthum ana kibe in ahi.
They, therefore, who welcomed his word, were immersed; and there were added, on that day, about three thousand souls.
42 Tahsan chate jouse chun solchah ho thuhil jong, kiloikhomna jong, neh leh chah kihopkhomna le Pakai anjon a jong, taokhomna a jong gunchu tah in anapang det jingun ahi.
And they went on to give constant attention—unto the teaching of the apostles, and unto the fellowship, unto the breaking of bread, and unto the prayers.
43 Chuin alungthim sunguva kichatna nasatah ahung lhungin, solchah hon jong melchihna le thil kidang tamtah aboltauve.
And there came on every soul, fear, and, many wonders and signs, through means of the apostles, were coming to pass.
44 chuin tahsan chate jouse chu munkhat'ah aumkhom un athilnei jouseu chu neilhangin ana neikhom uvin ahi.
And, all who believed, with one accord, began to hold all things common;
45 Anei agou-u ajoh uvin asum chu angaicha jouse toh ana kihom jiuvin ahi.
and, their possessions and goods, were they selling and distributing them unto all, in so far as anyone had need.
46 Niseh-in Hou-in a Pathen ahoukhom jiuvin, Pakai anjon jong dingin in'ah akikhom jiuvin, chule kipah tah le hongphal tahin an ana nekhom jiuvin ahi.
And, daily giving attendance with one intent in the temple and, at home, breaking bread, they were partaking of food with exultation and singleness of heart;
47 Abonchauva Pathen avahchoi jing laiyu-le mijouse lungdeiya thanomtah-a aum jing laiyun, aniseh in Pathen in huhhing'a umho chu amaho lah a chun abe jing tan ahi.
Praising God, and having favour with all the people. And, the Lord, was adding them who were being saved, daily, together.
