< Acts 13 >

1 Antioch Houbung sunga Themgao le mihil ho chu, Barnabas, Simeon (mivompa), Lucius (Cyrene mi), Manaen (Herod Antipas golpa), chule Saul ahiuve.
And there were certain in Antioch, in the assembly there, prophets and teachers: both Barnabas, and Simeon who is called Niger, and Lucius the Cyrenian, Manaen also—Herod the tetrarch’s foster-brother—and Saul;
2 Chuin Nikhat amaho hin an ngola Pathen ahoukhom pet-un Lhagao Theng in amaho koma chun “Barnabas le Saul chu kakouna natong dingin lhandoh tauvin,” ahin tin ahi.
and in their ministering to the LORD and fasting, the Holy Spirit said, “Separate to Me both Barnabas and Saul to the work to which I have called them,”
3 Chuin amahon an ngola taona hatah-a anei jouvun amani chunga chun khut angam un, ataopeh jouvun asoldoh tauvin ahi.
then having fasted, and having prayed, and having laid the hands on them, they sent [them] away.
4 Chuin Barnabas le Saul chu Lhagao Theng in asoldoh lhon tan ahile, amani Seleucia kongkai muna achesuh lhon in chuin Cyprus twikol jon dingin konga atou lhon tan ahi.
These, indeed, then, having been sent forth by the Holy Spirit, went down to Seleucia, and from there they sailed to Cyprus,
5 Chuche muna Salamis khopi alhun hon phat in Judah te kikhop khomna hoa alut lhon in Pathen thu asamphong le hon tan ahi. Chule John Mark jong amani kithopi dingin akilhon uvin ahi.
and having come to Salamis, they declared the word of God in the synagogues of the Jews, and they also had John [as] a servant;
6 Chuin amani twikol sung pumpi a chun khopi khat a kon in khopi khat ah avahle lhonin Paphos chan in achelhon in ahile hiche lai muna chun Bar-Yeshua kiti Judah mi doichoi le themgao lhemkhat akimupi lhon in ahi.
and having gone through the island to Paphos, they found a certain magus, a false prophet, a Jew, whose name [is] Bar-Jesus;
7 Chule amapa chu gamvaipo miching tah Sergius Paulus koma uma ahi. Chuin gamvaipo pa chun Pathen thu angai nom jeh chun Barnabas le Saul chu akou tan ahi.
who was with the proconsul Sergius Paulus, an intelligent man; this one having called for Barnabas and Saul, desired to hear the word of God,
8 Ahinlah Elymas kiti doichoi mikhat ahung kikum lut in gamvaipo chun Barnabas le Saul thusei chu atahsan louna tei dingin hiche teni thusei hi ngaipeh hih in tin aseiyin ahi.
and there withstood them Elymas the magus—for so is his name interpreted—seeking to pervert the proconsul from the faith.
9 Chuin Paul tiajong kihe Saul chu Lhagao Theng adimset in, chule aman doichoi mipa chu aven,
And Saul—who also [is] Paul—having been filled with the Holy Spirit, and having looked steadfastly on him,
10 “Nangma Diabol chapa, Jou le jona milhemlha, thilpha jouse dinga melma pa! Pathen lamdih a kona mihem puimang ding hi nangah louhel ding ham?
said, “O full of all guile, and all recklessness, son of a devil, enemy of all righteousness, will you not cease perverting the right ways of the LORD?
11 Ven tun Pakai mijep na khut chu nachunga hung chu ding chule namit choding phat chomkhat khovah namulou ding ahitai.”
And now, behold, a hand of the LORD [is] on you, and you will be blind, not seeing the sun for a season”; and instantly there fell on him a mist and darkness, and he, going around, was seeking some to lead [him] by the hand;
12 Hiche thilsoh chu gamvaipo chun amu phat in ama jong seijui ho lah a ajao tan ahi ajeh chu Pakai thudol thuhil chu kidang asah val jeng ahi.
then the proconsul having seen what has come to pass, believed, being astonished at the teaching of the LORD.
13 Chuin Paul le alhon khompi ho chun Paphos dalhan Pamphylia jon dingin konga akitolun Perga muna akinga tauvin, chule hiche muna kon chun John Mark chu Jerusalem lama akile tan ahi.
And those around Paul having set sail from Paphos, came to Perga of Pamphylia, and John having departed from them, turned back to Jerusalem,
14 Ahin Paul le Barnabas vang chu keng lam in Pisidia gam'a Antioch chan achelhon in, chuin cholngah nikhon amani jong kikhom dingin kikhop khomna in ah alut lhon tan ahi.
and they having gone through from Perga, came to Antioch of Pisidia, and having gone into the synagogue on the day of the Sabbaths, they sat down,
15 Chuin angaiya Mose le Themgao lekhabu asim jouvun kikhopna-a lamkai hon amani koma chun “Sopi teni mipi ho tilkhouna dinga seinom nanei honle hung sei lhonin,” tin phat apeuvin ahi.
and after the reading of the Law and of the Prophets, the chief men of the synagogue sent to them, saying, “Men, brothers, if there be a word in you of exhortation to the people—say on.”
16 Chuin Paul ading doh in akhut alhang in mipi ho chu thipbeh cha-a um ding'in aseiyin, chuin aman aseitai, “Israel mite hole Pathen ging'ah chidang namdang teho, ngaiyuvin,
And Paul having risen, and having beckoned with the hand, said, “Men, Israelites, and those fearing God, listen:
17 Hiche Israel nampi Pathen chun ipu ipateu ana lhengdoh in Egypt gam'a chun apunsah uvin chule thahattah nampi khat in ahin semdoh tan ahi. Chuin athahat nan Egypt mite khut ah asoh chan nauva konin ahin huh doh in,”
the God of this people Israel chose our fathers, and He exalted the people in their sojourning in the land of Egypt, and He brought them out of it with a high arm;
18 Gamthip noiya kum somli jen ahin puiyin,
and about a period of forty years He endured their conduct in the wilderness,
19 Chuin Canaan gamsunga nam sagi jen asumang in, agam sungu chu Israel ten aloding in apetan ahi.
and having destroyed seven nations in the land of Canaan, He divided their land to them by lot.
20 Hiche thilsoh hi kum 450 sunga soh ahi. Chujouvin Israel chate chunga vaihom ding in Pathen thutan vaihom ho ana pen ama ho chun Samuel themgao pa khang chanin vai anahom un ahi.
And after these things, about four hundred and fifty years, He gave judges—until Samuel the prophet;
21 Chuin mipi chun leng ana thum'un, ahile Pathen in Benjamin phunga kon Kish chapa Saul chu ana pen ama chun kum somli lengvai anapon ahi.
and thereafter they asked for a king, and God gave to them Saul, son of Kish, a man of the tribe of Benjamin, for forty years;
22 Ahin Pathen in Saul chu leng muna konin ana ladoh in David chu ana tung tan ahi. Pathen in David thudola hitin ana seiye “Keiman kalung gottah mi Jesse Chapa David kamutai, aman kalunggot jouse abol ding ahi” ati.
and having removed him, He raised up to them David for king, to whom also having testified, He said, I found David, the [son] of Jesse, a man according to My heart, who will do all My will.
23 Chule Pathen in Israelte huhdoh dinga athutep Yeshua chu leng David insunga kon ahi.
Of this one’s seed, God, according to promise, raised to Israel a Savior—Jesus,
24 Ama ahung masang in twilutsah John in Israel mipi jousen chonset lung aheiya Pathen koma akilekit uva chule twiya Baptize achanna dingu thu ana lhangsam in ahi.
John having first preached, before His coming, an immersion of conversion to all the people of Israel;
25 Chuin John in atoh ding kin achaiphat in aman adong in “keihi Messiah nei hisah uham? Kahipoi! Ahin Ama hungvah ding ahi, chule keima akengchot khao sutlha a pang asolchah khat dinga jong lhing jou kahipoi.”
and as John was fulfilling the course, he said, Whom do you suppose I am? I am not [He], but behold, He comes after me, of whom I am not worthy to loose the sandal of [His] feet.
26 Sopite, Abraham son ho le chidang namdang Pathen ging mite ho, Hiche huhhingna thuphahi eiho dinga hung kisol ahi.
Men, brothers, sons of the race of Abraham, and those among you fearing God, to you was the word of this salvation sent,
27 Jerusalem mite le alamkai teuvin themgao hon Yeshua thudol aseiyu ahilam ahepouve. Chusang in themmo achanun hiche jeng jong hin cholngah niseh a themgao ho thucheng aguilhun sah ahi.
for those dwelling in Jerusalem, and their chiefs, having not known this One, also the voices of the Prophets, which are being read every Sabbath—having judged [Him]—fulfilled,
28 Chule dan dung juiya tha nading themmo najong amu pouvin, ahin Pilate henga chun atha teitei nading in angeh un ahi.
and having found no cause of death, they asked of Pilate that He should be slain,
29 Chuin themgao vin achungchang thudol asei jouse aboljou soh phat un, thingpel chunga konin ala lhauvin lhanah alup sah tauvin ahi.
and when they fulfilled all the things written about Him, having taken [Him] down from the tree, they laid Him in a tomb;
30 Ahivangin Pathen in thina-a konin akaithou kittai.
and God raised Him out of the dead,
31 Chuin nikho phabep jouvin Galilee a kona Jerusalem lampia akilhon khompi ho henga ama akiphong in tun amaho Israel mite henga hettoh sah in apang uvin ahi.
and He was seen for many days of those who came up with Him from Galilee to Jerusalem, who are His witnesses to the people.
32 Tunia keiho hiche laiya hi Pathen in ipu ipateu henga ana kitepna thupha choiya hung kahiuve.
And we proclaim good news to you—that the promise made to the fathers,
33 Chule hiche hi ason achilhah eiho jouse henga Pathen in Yeshua akaithou vanga aguilhunsah ahi. Hiche thudol hi Psalm lekhabu nina in hitin aseiyin ahi, “Nangma kachapa, tunin keima napa kahitai.”
God has completed this in full to us their children, having raised up Jesus, as also in the second Psalm it has been written: You are My Son—I have begotten You today.
34 Ajeh chu Pathen in lhana monlha bep ding hilouva thina-a kona kaithou dinga ana thutepsa ahi. Pathen in aseiyin, “David henga kakitepna phattheina kiselguh chu nangma kapeh ding nahi, ati.
And that He raised Him up out of the dead, to no longer return to corruption, He has said this: I will give to You the holy [blessings] of David [that are] faithful;
35 Psalm lekhabu dang khat'ah ahilchen be in, Nami theng chu lhan'a namon den sah lou ding ahi,” ati.
for what reason He also says in another [place]: You will not give Your Holy One to see corruption;
36 Chule hiche thuhi David aseina ahipoi, ajeh chu David chun ama khang sunga Pathen lunggot lam abol jouvin athi in apu apate toh akivui khomin chule atahsa jong amon mang tan ahi.
for David, indeed, having served his own generation by the will of God, fell asleep, and was added to his fathers, and saw corruption,
37 Ahipoi! Hiche thuhi Pathen in atahsa mon mang louva akaithou midang khat kiseina ahi.
but He whom God raised up, did not see corruption.
38 Sopite ho, ngaiyun! Hiche Yeshua vanga chonset ngaidamna aum thudol lhangsama kahiuve.
Let it therefore be known to you, men, brothers, that the forgiveness of sins is declared to you through this One,
39 Koi hijong le ama tahsan chan chu Pathen anga themchanga kisim ding ahi chule hiche hi Mose dan in aboltheipoi.
and from all things in the Law of Moses from which you were not able to be declared righteous, everyone who is believing in this One is declared righteous;
40 Chingtheiyun! Themgao thusei hohi nangho chunga chuh sah hih un, ajeh chu amahon hitin aseiyuve;
see, therefore, it may not come on you that has been spoken in the Prophets:
41 “Veuvin mi nuisat ho, kidang sauvin lang thidoh un, ajeh chu nangho phat laiyin thilkhat kabolin, hiche thil khat kabol chu mikhat in naheng uva ahung sei jong le natahsan pouve.” ati.
See, you despisers, and wonder, and perish, because I work a work in your days, a work in which you may not believe, though anyone may declare [it] to you.”
42 Chuin Paul le Barnabas chu kikhopna in'a konin apotdoh lhonin ahile mipi chun akham uvin hapta kit le asei lhon jouse avelsei kit lhon dingin angeh-un ahi.
And having gone forth out of the synagogue of the Jews, the nations were calling on [them] that on the next Sabbath these sayings may be spoken to them,
43 Chuin Judah mi tamtah le hougut Judah houva lut mitampi chun Paul le Barnabas chu ajui tauvin ahile amanin amaho chu Pathen milungsetna a umdet jing ding in atil khou lhon tan ahi.
and the synagogue having been dismissed, many of the Jews and of the devout proselytes followed Paul and Barnabas, who, speaking to them, were persuading them to remain in the grace of God.
44 Chuin a-hapta kit in khopi sunga mipi atamjo Pathen thungai ding in ahung khomun ahi.
And on the coming Sabbath, almost all the city was gathered together to hear the word of God,
45 Ahin Judah mi abang chun mipi chu aveu vin ahile athangse uvin, hijeh chun Paul thusei jouse chu anelkal un ahi.
and the Jews having seen the multitudes, were filled with zeal, and contradicted the things spoken by Paul—contradicting and slandering.
46 Chuin Paul le Barnabas chun hangsan tah in alhangsam lhonin asei lhon tai, “Nangho Judah te henga Pathen thu kalhangsap masah lhon ding hi ngaikhoh ahi, ahin nanghon napampai uva, nangho le nanghon tonsot hinna changdia lomlouva thu nakitan tah jeh un, chidang namdang te henga kache lhon ding ahitai. (aiōnios g166)
And speaking boldly, Paul and Barnabas said, “It was necessary that the word of God be first spoken to you, and seeing you thrust it away, and do not judge yourselves worthy of the continuous life, behold, we turn to the nations; (aiōnios g166)
47 Ajeh chu Pathen in, ‘vannoi leiset pumpia huhhing na thupole dinga, chidang namdang te lah-a vah'a kasem lhon nahi,’ atia chu chidang namdang te lah a eisol lhon ahitai,” ati lhon e.
for so the LORD has commanded us: I have set you for a light of nations—for your being for salvation to the end of the earth.”
48 Chuin chidang namdang ten hiche thu ajah phat un hapan akipah in Pakai athangvah un chule tonsot hina chang dinga kilhengdoh ho jouse chu seijui in apang tauvin ahi. (aiōnios g166)
And the nations hearing were glad, and were glorifying the word of the LORD, and believed—as many as were appointed to continuous life; (aiōnios g166)
49 Chuin hiche gamkai sung se achun Pathen thu chu akithe jal tan ahi.
and the word of the LORD was spread abroad through all the region.
50 Chuin Judah techun hougut numei ho le khopi sunga lamkai ho chu atil seuvin Paul le Barnabas chu khopi sunga konin adel mang sah tauvin ahi.
And the Jews stirred up the devout and honorable women, and the first men of the city, and raised persecution against Paul and Barnabas, and put them out from their borders;
51 Chuin amanin apampai lhon vetsahnan akenglhona khobon athing lha lhonin Iconium ajon lhon tan ahi.
and having shaken off the dust of their feet against them, they came to Iconium,
52 Chule Seijui ho chu kipana le Lhagao vin adimset tauvin ahi.
and the disciples were filled with joy and the Holy Spirit.
