My dear friend, I pray that you may in all respects prosper and enjoy good health, just as your soul already prospers.
3 Tumasang jep'a thuhila pang kholjin phabep hung kileho chun tahsan naumna le thutah'a hinkho naman thudol chu eiseipeh uvin, eikipasah lheh uve.
For it is an intense joy to me when brethren come and bear witness to your fidelity to the truth--that you live in obedience to the truth.
4 Keiman kachaten thutah ajuiyu thudol kajah'a kipana sanga lenjo adang kanei theipoi.
I have no greater joy than to hear that my children are living in obedience to the truth.
5 Golngaitah, nangman nahetlou mi ahivanguva thuhila pang kholjin vahle ho nagel khohna hin, Pathena tahsan umtah nahi ti aphongdoh in ahi.
My dear friend, you are acting faithfully in all your behaviour towards the brethren, even when they are strangers to you.
6 Amaho chun hikoma houbung jah a ngailutna neiya nanabolna thu chu aseiyuvin ahi. Hiti chun Pathen lunglhai sahnan hitobang thuhil ho ding chun thilgot pehna neijom teijin.
They have testified, in the presence of the Church, to your love; and you will do well to help them on their journey in a manner worthy of your fellowship with God.
7 Ajeh chu amaho Pakai jal'a kholjin lea ahiuvin, chuti chun amahon tahsan neilouho koma imacha lalou ahiuve.
For it is for Christ that they have gone forth, accepting nothing from the Gentiles.
8 Hijeh chun eima ho tah in amaho hi ikithopiu ngai ahi, hitia chu amahon thutah thu ahilnauva amaho tohkhompi ihitheina dingu ahije.
It is therefore our duty to show hospitality to such men, so that we may be fellow workers in promoting the truth.
9 Keiman houbung henga hiche thudol hi kajih in, hinlah Diotrephes, lamkai hinomna neipahin, keiho toh imacha a chan eineikhompi nompouve.
I wrote to the Church, but Diotrephes, who loves to have the first place among them, refuses to listen to us.
10 Keima kahung teng ama thilbol phabep le keiho dounaa athuseiya eimosonau thuphalou aseiya aboldoh ho kaphondoh ding ahi. Aman kholjin vahle thuhil ho alhunsahlou bou hilouvin, amaho kithopina jeng jong pehlou dingin aseiye. Chule amaho chun akikhop nauva, aman amaho chu houbunga konin anodoh in ahi.
For this reason, if I come, I shall not forget his conduct, nor his idle and mischievous talk against us. And he does not stop there: he not only will not receive the brethren, but those who desire to do this he hinders, and excludes them from the Church.

My dear friend, do not follow wrong examples, but right ones. He who habitually does what is right is a child of God: he who habitually does what is wrong has not seen God.
12 Amitakip in Demetrius aseiphauvin ahi. Eimaho tah in hitima chu ama chung chang thu iseitheiyu ahi, chule keihon thutah kaseiyu nanghon naheuve.
The character of Demetrius has the approval of all men, and of the truth itself. We also express our approval of it, and you know that we only give our approval to that which is true.
13 Keiman seibe ding tampi kaneiye, hinlah keiman hichu lekhathot'ah kahin sei nom poi.
I have a great deal to say to you, but I do not wish to go on writing it with ink and pen.
14 Ajeh chu nangma toh kimaitoa kimuto vahding kakinemin ahi. Chuphat leh kimaitoa ikihoulim ding ahi. Cham-lungmonna in umpiuvin. Hiche muna nagol hon chibai nahin peuve: Keima tah in chibai kahin bolna hi chuche muna umho henga achang cheh'un seipeh'un.
