< 2 Samuel 22 >
1 Hitichun Pakaiyin amelmate jousea kon leh Saul khut’a kona ana huhhing jal in David in hichela hi Pakai henga anasan ahi.
And David spake unto Yahweh, the words of this song, in the day when Yahweh had rescued him, out of the hand of all his enemies, and out of the hand of Saul;
2 Hitin lacheng aseme, “Pakai chu keima dingin Kasongpi leh kakulpi chule eihuhhingpa ahi,
and he said, —Yahweh, was my mountain crag and my stronghold, and my deliverer—mine;
3 Ka-Pathen leh kasongpi Kakiselna nahi; Kapho le eihuhhinga kasakhia pang, Kakulpi pal le kakisel na nahin, Eihuhhingpa nahin, pumhat’a kinona lah a jong nei huhdoh ji'e.
My God, was my rock, I sought refuge in him, —My shield, and my horn of salvation, my high tower, and my refuge, My Saviour! from violence, thou didst save me.
4 Vahchoi dinga lomtah Pakai henga kataoyin, chule Kamelmate a konin huhhingna kachang tai.
As one worthy to be praised, called I on Yahweh, —And, from my foes, was I saved.
5 “Ajeh chu thina luipin eilon khuntan, Manthah na lam jousen eilon khum tai;
When the breakers of death had encompassed me, —the torrents of perdition, made me afraid, —
6 Noimigam khaoguiyin eihen tan, kamasanga thina ding thang akikam’e. (Sheol )
the meshes of hades, had surrounded me, —the snares of death had confronted me, (Sheol )
7 Ahin “Kagenthei pet’in Pakai henga ka taovin. Ka-Pathen koma chun kataovin ahi. Pathen houin a aman kataona asang jin, hichea chun anabenga kataona alut ji'e.
In my distress, called I on Yahweh, Yea, unto my God, did I call, —and he hearkened, out of his temple, unto my voice, and, my cry for help, was in his ears!
8 Hichun leiset akinuh nuh jin ling akihot tan ahi; Van todap khompi jouse jong akiling soh hel jenge; Pathen alung han jeh chun lingpi ahin hot jengin ahi.
Then did the earth shake and quake, the foundations of the heavens, were deeply moved, —yea they did shake, because he was angry,
9 Chule Anah hom sung tenia konin meikhu ahung kitung doh in, chule akamsung a konin mi bahgam thei mei akonge; Meial deuje ju Pathena konin ahung kitung doh jenge.
There went up a smoke in his nostrils, and, a fire out of his mouth, devoured, —live coals, were kindled from it:
10 Aman van mun jouse asonkun jengin ahung kumlhai, Akengto noiya muthim lhangkhal akiheh jenge.
Then he stretched out the heavens, and came down, —and, thick gloom, was under his feet;
11 Pathen Cherub chunga atouvin alenge, huipia akijap’a alen akimui.
Then he rode on a cherub, and flew, —and was seen on the wings of the wind;
12 Aman akimvela muthim lhangkhal akihehsah jin, chule Aloupi na meilhang thuh tah twipin akikhange.
And made of the darkness around him, pavilions, —gathering of waters, clouds of vapours.
13 A-angsung vahchan thethu lah a konin meikong amleng lung ahung leng doh dohjie.
Out of the brightness before him, were kindled live coals of fire;
14 Pakaiyin van'a konin van akithinsah jin Hatchungnungpen chun o-thongin thu aseiye.
Thunder from the heavens, did Yahweh give forth, —yea, the Highest, uttered his voice;
15 Aman thalpi ahinkap doh jin adoudal te athe cheh ji'e. Kol a phen a kithe jal lah lah jenge.
And he sent forth arrows, and scattered them, —lightning, and confused them;
16 Chuteng leh twikhanglen togei geiyin akimu theiyin, Vannoi bulpi khom jouse jong akimuthei ye; Pakaiyin ahinpho jia Anah homsunga ahu alha teng chuti chun aumjie.
Then appeared the channels of the sea, were uncovered the foundations of the world, —at the rebuke of Yahweh, the blast of the breath of his nostrils;
17 Van chungsang langa konin aman eihin huhdoh jin jin, Twipi kinong a konin eiladoh ji'e.
He sent from on high, he took me, —he drew me out of many waters;
18 Chule kamelma hattah pa akonin eihuhdoh jin, Eihotbol tea konin jong eihuhdoh ji'e; Ijeh-inem itileh hitobang miho hi kei din ahatval jiuve.
He rescued me from my foe, in his might, —from them who hated me, because they were too strong for me:
19 Ka hamset ni jongle amaho hin eihin del khum jeng jiuve; Hijong leh Pakai in keima eikithopi jing nai.
They confronted me, in the day of my necessity, —then became Yahweh my stay:
20 Pakaiyin keima munlen tah a eipui doh jin, Eikipapi jeh in eihuhdoh jin ahi.
And brought out, into a large place, even me, —he delivered me, because he delighted in me:
21 Lamdih a kachon jing jeh in Pakaiyin kipaman eipen, Chule kakhut te nin thil dih jeng abol jing jeh in kipaman eipei.
Yahweh rewarded me, according to my righteousness—according to the cleanness of my hands, he repaid me:
22 Ajeh chu keiman Pakai lamlhah na jouse kajui jingin, agilou bol’in ka Pathenchu kada lha khapoi.
For I had kept the ways of Yahweh, —and not broken away from my God;
23 Ijeh-inem itileh ama chonna dan jouse chu Kamaiya aki lang jing jengin, Hijeh chun ama chon na dan jousea jong Keima kavah mang khapoi.
For, all his regulations, were before me, —and, as for his statutes, I turned not from them.
24 Ama angsunga keima nolna beiyin kaum jingin, themmo na dingah kakivengdoh jing jenge.
So became I blameless towards him, —and kept myself from mine iniquity:
25 Hijeh chun keima dihna jeh hin Pakaiyin kipaman eipen, chule ama mitmua themmona kanei lou jeh hin kipa man eipei.
Yahweh therefore repaid me, according to my righteousness, —according to my pureness before his eyes.
26 “Mi kitah ho hengah nang jong naki tahna namusah in, chule nolna bei mi hengah nang jong nolna bei mi nahina namusah jin ahi.
With the loving, thou didst show thyself loving, —with the blameless hero, thou didst show thyself blameless;
27 Milung thengho hengah nalungthen na namusah in, chule milung thim thenglou ho hengah nangma alungtheng lou bangin naumjin ahi.
With the pure, thou didst show thyself pure, —but, with the perverse, thou didst shew thyself ready to contend:
28 Chuti chun nangman mi kineosah techu nahuhdoh jin, mi kiletsah te vang chu suhnem din nave lhih jinge.
And, a patient people, thou didst save, —but, thine eyes, were on the lofty—thou layedst them low;
29 O Pakai nangma hi keiya din kathaomei nahin, Ka-Pathen nangin kei dia muthim jouse nasal vahe.
For, thou, wast my lamp, O Yahweh, —and, Yahweh, enlightened my darkness;
30 Nangma panpi najala keiman sepai hon khat jong kasuh mang ding, Chule Ka-Pathen vanga palvum jong ka chop khup ding ahi.
For, by thee, I ran through a troop, —by my God, I leapt over a wall.
31 Hitichun Pathen hi alamlhah na jouse achamkim soh keiyin, Pakaiyin mi athutep jong agui lhung ji'e; Chule Ama koma kiselte dinginAma hi ompho ahijinge.
As for God, blameless is his way, —the speech of Yahweh, hath been proved, a shield, he is to all who seek refuge in him.
32 Ijeh-inem itileh Pathen kiti chu koi dang ham? Pakai kiti chu ahin; Chujongle songpi kiti chu koipen ham? I-Pathenu amabou chu ahiye.
For who is a GOD, save Yahweh? and who a Rock, save our God?
33 Hiche Pathen hi keima kisel na dettah ahin, kalam lhah na jouse jong phatah in eisem peh tai.
GOD, is my fortress of strength, —and shewed to the blameless his way;
34 Hichun Pathen in kakeng phang teni jong sajuhpi keng abahsah-in, gamken lah dung jenga jong det tah in eidin sah theiye.
Planting my feet like the hinds’, —yea, on my high places, he caused me to stand;
35 Chule kakhut teni jong galsatje eihil them in, Hijeh chun kabanjang tenin sum-eng thalpi aheh konjin ahi.
Teaching my hands, to war, —so that a bow of bronze was bent by mine arms;
36 Nangman na mi huhhingna ompho neipen, chujongle nagalvon chun keima eikhu khum jin; nakithopi nachun eisuloupi jin ahi.
Thus didst thou grant me, as a shield, thy salvation, —and, thy condescension, made me great.
37 Kanoiya kapansat na ding mun lentah neihoi peh-in, hijeh chun kakengto teni kalho nal tapoi.
Thou didst widen my stepping-places, under me, —so that mine ankles faltered not:
38 Ka melmate nung kadel jin kathat gam ji'e; chule aboncha kasuh gamhel masangin kahung kileji poi.
I pursued my foes, and destroyed them, —and returned not, till they were consumed;
39 Hitichun abonchauvin kasat chap hel jin koima athoudoh aum tapoi, hitichun kakengto noiya akijam chap tauvin ahi.
So I consumed them, and crushed them, and they rose not again, —thus fell they under my feet:
40 Ajeh chu nangin galsat din tha neipen, eihin del khumpa chu kanoiya nalupsah tai.
Thus didst thou gird me with strength, for the battle, —thou subduedst mine assailants under me:
41 Hiti chun kamasanga kamel mate najam sah sah jin, eihot bolte chu keiman kathat gam ji tai.
And, as for my foes, thou didst give me their neck, —yea, them who hated me, that I might destroy them:
42 Panpi ngaiya apen pen vanguvin ahuhhing diu koima aumpon, Pakai henga atao vang uvin aman adonbut dehpoi.
They cried out, but there was none to save, —unto Yahweh, but he answered them not.
43 Keiman kholai dunga leivui bangin kachilngem ngemin, chule kholai dunga bonlhoh bangin kachot phan kachilgoiyie.
Then did I beat them in pieces, like the dust of the earth, —like the clay of the lanes, did I crush them, stamp them down.
44 “Gal eibol khum mitea kon in jong nei huhdoh chun, namtin vaipi chunga alenpenin neisemin, kahet khah louhel miten jong keima kin aboltauve.
Thus didst thou rescue me from the contentions of my people, didst keep me to be the head of nations: —a people whom I had not known, served me;
45 Gamdang mite jong kineosah tah-in kahenga ahungun, kathusei ajah jah ule kathun anung jiuve.
The sons of the foreigner, came cringing unto me, —at the hearing of the ear, they submitted to me, —
46 Gamdang mite chu alungu aneo jin akisel nao kulsunga konin kichatah in kithing pum pumin ahung potdoh jiuve.
The sons of the foreigner, were disheartened, and came quaking, out of their fortresses.
47 “Pakai hingjing pa, Nunnom hen kasongpi chu; Choi-at’in umjing hen Ka-Pathen, eihuhhing na songpi chu.
Yahweh liveth, and blessed be my rock, —and exalted be the God (of the rock) of my salvation: —
48 Phu eilah sah a Pathen chun, mijouse chu keima noiya asonkun soh hel in ahi.
The GOD who hath avenged me, and brought down peoples under me;
49 Kamelmate lah jenga jong eihuh doh jia, chule nangin kaki doupi kamelmate chunga neichoi sang ji'e; Pumhat jenga mi nokhum mite lah a konin jong nangman neihuh doh jing jin ahi.
And brought me forth from among my foes, —yea, from mine assailants, hast thou set me on high, from the man of violence, hast thou delivered me.
50 “Hiche jeh hin vo Pakai, namtin la ah navahchoi yinge, chule namin vahchoila sange.
For this cause, will I praise thee, O Yahweh, among the nations, —and, to thy name, will I touch the strings: —
51 nangman Lenga natun keima hi galjona loupe tah neipin, thao anusa kei hi long louvin eingailui; David le kachilhah te din atonsot atonsot geiya dingin,” ati.
Who hath made great the victories of his King, —and shown lovingkindness to his Anointed One, to David and to his Seed, unto times age-abiding.
