< 2 Samuel 16 >
1 Hichun David in molsang ejat hamkhat alep nungin Mephibosheth soh pa Ziban Sangan ni apot poh ding to kikan sa le chanaglhah pheng jani, lengpi theiga boh jakhat, nipi lai theiga jat jakhat, chule lengpi twi savun bom dim set khat toh ana lamton ahi.
Now when David was a little past the top, look, Ziba the servant of Mippibaal met him with a couple of donkeys saddled, and on them two hundred loaves of bread, a hundred bunches of raisins, a hundred of summer fruits, and a container of wine.
2 Hichun David lengpan Ziba chu hitin ana dong in, “Ipi dinga thil hi jatpi hi nahin poh hitam?” atileh; Ziban jong adonbut’in, “Sangan teni hi lengpa insung mite touna ding ahin, chule changlhah le nipi lai theiga hi sepai te neh ding ahin; chutengle lengpi twi hi gamthip laiya dangchah a thacholho don ding ahi,” ati.
And the king said to Ziba, "Why did you bring these things?" And Ziba replied, "The donkeys are for the king's household to ride on, and the bread and summer fruit for the young men to eat, and the wine is for those who get exhausted in the desert."
3 Chuphat’in David lengpan adongpai in, “Napu tupa Mephibosheth chu hoiya ba um hitam?” atia ahileh; Ziban lengpa koma chun hitin asei e, “Vetan, ama chu tuni gei in Jerusalema aum jing nalaiye, chule keiman tunia hi kapupa Saul lenggam chu kale lah ding ahi ati.
Then the king said, "Where is your master's son?" Ziba said to the king, "Look, he is staying in Jerusalem, for he said, 'Today the children of Israel will restore to me the kingdom of my father.'"
4 Chuin Ziba koma chun lengpan aseikit’in, “Ven, Mephibosheth thil le nei jouse chu aboncha tua hi nang na chan ding ahitai,” atipeh-e. Chutah chun Ziban jong asei pei jeng in, “Keiman nang kaja bol nahi, nei mu chan in kachunga lung lhai jing jengin, kapu kaleng pa,” ati.
Then the king said to Ziba, "Look, all that pertains to Mippibaal is yours." Ziba said, "I humbly bow. May I find favor in the sight of my lord the king."
5 Chule David chun Bahurim kho ahin phah phat’in Saul insung mi pasal khat ahung pot doh in, ama chu amin Shimei ahin, Gera chapa ahi; ahung pot doh in alamjot toh gaosap ahinkop in ahi.
And when king David reached Bahurim, now look, a man of the family of the house of Saul came out, whose name was Shimei the son of Gera. He came out and cursed continuously as he approached.
6 Chujongle song alan David ahin, asepai jalamte ahin, chule ajet avei a mihat kigol ho jouse jong chu songin asep tan ahi.
And he threw stones at David and at all his servants, and all the people and all the soldiers at his right hand and at his left.
7 Hitichun ami gaosap pum pum in Shimei chun asei in, “Chemang loiyin, chemang loiyin nangma thisan so hat le hindan helou mi nahi tin David henglam a chun asam tan ahi.
And Shimei said as he cursed, "Get out, get out, you man of blood, and worthless man.
8 Pakaiyin Saul insung mite thisan chu nachunga ahinle lhunsah ahitai. Nangman ama lenggam chu nanaguh ahin, chule tuahi Pakaiyin nachapa Absalom khut a apeh doh ahitai. Nangma thisan sohat nahiyeh a, nathemmo nachu nachung mama chu ahitai ati
The LORD has returned on you all the blood of the house of Saul, in whose place you have reigned, and the LORD has given the kingdom into the hand of your son Absalom. And look, your evil is upon you, because you are a man of bloodshed."
9 Chuphat’in Zeruiah chapa Abishai chun lengpa koma hitin asei e, “Ipi dinga hiche uithisa hin kapu lengpa hitia agao sap sap jeng ham? Neisol’in lang alol ga tan inge,” atileh;
Then Abishai the son of Zeruiah said to the king, "Why should this dead dog curse my lord the king? Please let me go over and take off his head."
10 Lengpan jong aphoh in, “Zeruiah chapate Nangho kon nadoh beh uvem? Pakaiyin ajah a aseipih a keihi gaosap in atileh, nang koi nahija ama chu nakham ding ham ati.
The king said, "What have I to do with you, you sons of Zeruiah? Because he curses, and because the LORD has said to him, 'Curse David;' who then shall say, 'Why have you done so?'"
11 Chujong le David chun Abishai le asoh te jouse koma hitin asei e, “Vetan, keima chapa mong mong in bon tha dinga eihola ahi leh, hiche Saul sopipa hin iti abolda thei ding ham! Hijeh chun don dau vin lang gao sap sah sah jeng tauvin; ajeh chu Pakaiyin bollin tia asei peh ahi.
Then David said to Abishai and to all his servants, "Look, my son who came from my body seeks my life. So also now this Benjamite. Leave him alone and let him curse, for the LORD has told him to.
12 Ijem itileh Pakaiyin ka genthei hesoh nahi eivet peh in tin, tunia eiki gaosap najeh a Pakaiyin keima dinga thilpha eibol peh theijoh ding ahi,” ati.
Perhaps the LORD will look on my affliction and return good to me for his cursing today."
13 Chuti chun David le amite chu lampia achepeh uvin; Shimei jong chu David chutoh kigal mupeh in thinglhang jui jui'a a che peh in agao sap sap jeng e; chule amaho chun David chu song le lei vui in jong asep’uvin ahi.
So David and his men went by the way; and Shimei went along on the hillside opposite him, and cursed as he went, threw stones at his flank, and threw dirt.
14 Chuin David lengpa le alhonpi mipi hochu abonchauvin athachol lheh taovin hichun Jordan vadung agei un abon uvin akichol un ahi.
Now the king and all his people arrived weary at the Jordan, and he refreshed himself there.
15 Chutah chun Absalom le Israel mite jouse jong chu Jerusalem a ahung uvin, Ahithophel kitipa chun Absalom ahin lhon pin ahi.
Now Absalom and all the men of Israel arrived in Jerusalem, and Ahithophel was with him.
16 Chuin David golpa Hushai Arkit mipa chu ahung lhun lhun in Absalom koma achipei in, ‘Hingsot in lengpa, lengpa hingsot in! tin ahin sam tai.
And it came about when David's friend Hushai the Archite came to Absalom, that Hushai said to Absalom, "Long live the king. Long live the king."
17 Chutah chun Absalom in jong Hushai koma chun hitin asei e, “Hitia hi na golpa David chu nabol mong ding ham? Etidan a amatoh dingkhom lou nahim? tin adong tai.
So Absalom said to Hushai, "Is this your loyalty to your friend? Why did you not go with your friend?"
18 Ahin Hushai chun Absalom koma asei kit’in, “Ahipoi, koi koi hijeng jong le Pakai le hiche Israel miten abonchauva alhen doh pen pen chu kei jong ama a chu kahi jeng in, ama chutoh keima kalhat khom jing ding ahibou‘ve ati.
Then Hushai said to Absalom, "No, but whom the LORD and this people and all the men of Israel have chosen, his will I belong, and with him I will stay.
19 Chujong le keiman koi dang kin kabol ding ham? Lengpa chapa kin bola kapan teitei ding hilou ham? Keiman napa na kana toh bang bang a tua nangma na jong katoh ding ahi,” ati tai.
Again, whom should I serve? Shouldn't I serve in the presence of his son? As I have served in your father's presence, so will I be in your presence."
20 Hichun Absalom chun Ahithophel adongin, “Nalung gel temin, ipi aban kabol ding hitam?” ati.
Then Absalom said to Ahithophel, "Give your counsel. What should we do?"
21 Hichun Ahithophel jong chun Absalom asei peh in, “Napan in ngah dinga adalhah athaikem ho koma khun ga lut in lang galup pin; chutileh Israel pum pin nangma hi napa dou mah lamtah a kisa nahi tai, ti hin jadoh-uvintin, chuti le amahon nangma nahin jop soh kei diu ahi,” ati peh e.
Ahithophel said to Absalom, "Go in to your father's secondary wives, that he has left to care for the palace. Then all Israel will hear that you have made yourself a stench to your father. Then those on your side will be motivated to support you."
22 Hichun mihon Absalom dingin inchungah pon buh ason peh’un, chuin Absalom chu Israel mite pumpi mitmu lai tah in apa thaikem ho koma alut jengin aluppi tan ahi.
So they set up a tent for Absalom on the roof, and Absalom went in to his father's secondary wives in the sight of all Israel.
23 Hiche lai a Ahithophel kitipan mi athumop tapou chu Pathen kamcheng tah a hungsoh banga anagel u ahi hitobang jeh a hi Absalom in Ahithophel thumop chu David in anabol banga anajui ahi.
Now in those days the counsel that Ahithophel gave was as if one inquired of the word of God. So was all the counsel of Ahithophel both to David and to Absalom.
