< 2 Corinth 7 >

1 Hicheng thutep ho ichan jeh uvin, sopite ho, itahsau ahilouleh ilhagaovu suboh thei hoa kon chun ipipi lamah hijongleh eimaho kisuthengu hite. Chule eihon Pathen iginjeh uvin thenna chamkim lama kihabolu hite.
Having therefore these promises, beloved friends, let us purify ourselves from all defilement of body and of spirit, and secure perfect holiness through the fear of God.
2 Nangho keiho dingin lung kihongin umun. Keihon koima alamlouvin kabol khapouvin, koima kapuikhel nau jong aumpoi, koima cha jong kaphat chomna diuvin kamang chapouve.
Make room for us in your hearts. There is not one of you whom we have wronged, not one to whom we have done harm, not one over whom we have gained any selfish advantage.
3 Hiche hi nangho themmo chansahna a kasei ahipoi. Masanga kaseipeh banguvin nangho hi kalung uva kagel khoh uvin, chule nangho to hintha a chule thitha ding kahiuve.
I do not say this to imply blame, for, as I have already said, you have such a place in our hearts that we would die with you or live with you.
4 Keiman nangho kisonpina lenpen kaneiyun, chule keiman nangho kakithang-at pilheh jeng uvin ahi. Nanghon neiha tilkhou lheh uvin, chule kahahsat nau jouse a jong nanghon nei kipasah uvin ahi.
I have great confidence in you: very loudly do I boast of you. I am filled with comfort: my heart overflows with joy amid all our affliction.
5 Keiho Macedonia kaga lhun uchun lunga kicholdo theina kanei pouve. Hoimalam jouse lung kichiahna katoh un, polama kidouna ho aum toh, lungsunga kichatna kaneiyuve.
For even after our arrival in Macedonia we could get no relief such as human nature craves. We were greatly harassed; there were conflicts without and fears within.
6 Hinlah Pathen in alunglha ho atilkhouvin, Titus hunglhun hin eitilkhou tauve.
But He who comforts the depressed--even God-- comforted us by the coming of Titus, and not by his coming only,
7 Ama hunglhun hin eikipasah uvin, adehset'in nanghoa kona tilkhouna thu aman ahinmu chun keiho eitilkhou lheh jeng uvin ahi. Nang hon neimu nom lheh u thudol aseiya chule thilsoh jeh a nalung khamnau, chule keima dinga na kiphaltheng nau thu kajah chun, kipanan kadimset jenge!
but also by the fact that he had felt comforted on your account, and by the report which he brought of your eager affection, of your grief, and of your jealousy on my behalf, so that I rejoiced more than ever.
8 Chutobang thuhahsa lekhathot kahin thot chu, apet'a kakiphatlamna khat aum vang'in, nangho dinga phat chomkhat anat lheh ding vang chun, kiphatlam na kaneipoi.
For if I gave you pain by that letter, I do not regret it, though I did regret it then. I see that that letter, even though for a time it gave you pain, had a salutary effect.
9 Kahin thot chu tun kalung akipahtai, nangho kalung nopmosah u chu hijo louvin, nalung nat'u chun nakisih sah uvin, chule na hinkho man danu nakhel theiyun ahi. Hichu Pathen in amiten anei ding uva adei ahi, hitia chu nangho keihon nasetna dingu imacha kabolnau aumpoi.
Now I rejoice, not in your grief, but because the grief led to repentance; for you sorrowed with a godly sorrow, which prevented you from receiving injury from us in any respect.
10 Ajehchu lungkhamna Pathen in eideipeh u chun chonset'a kona eipuidoh uva hichun huhhingna asodoh ahi. Hitobang lungkhamna chun kisihna asodohpoi. Hinla vannoi lungkham nan kisihna asodoh joulou ahin, hichun lhagao thina asodoh sah ahiye.
For godly sorrow produces repentance leading to salvation, a repentance not to be regretted; but the sorrow of the world finally produces death.
11 Hiche Pathen ngaisahna lungkhamna in na hinkhoa ipi asodoh vetemin! Hitobang tah lunggutna, hibangtah a lungthenna nanei nau, hitobang tah a lunghimona, hitobang loma kihonna, hitobang loma nei munom tennau, hitobangtah a na gutchu pottho nau, hitobang tah a adihlou gimbolna. Nangho tah in thil ijakai adih bol angaina thudol nei hung vetsah tauve.
For mark the effects of this very thing--your having sorrowed with a godly sorrow--what earnestness it has called forth in you, what eagerness to clear yourselves, what indignation, what alarm, what longing affection, what jealousy, what meting out of justice! You have completely wiped away reproach from yourselves in the matter.
12 Keiman chuche pet'a lekha kajih lona ajeh chu, adihlou bola chu koi hiya ahiloule koiham adihlou bola ngoh ding chu tithua hola kahipoi. Keiman nahenguva Pathen mitmua kahin jih lona ajeh chu nang hon keiho dinga ichan geiya kiphalna naneiyu hitam ti naki mudoh theina dingu ahi bouve.
Therefore, though I wrote to you, it was not to punish the offender, nor to secure justice for him who had suffered the wrong, but it was chiefly in order that your earnest feeling on our behalf might become manifest to yourselves in the sight of God.
13 Keiho tah hiche hin eitilkhou nau chu, Titus nana lamto nauva amaa kipana chu nang hon ama nabon chauva nanalem uva chule nalung olsah nau chu, keiho kipa thanopna dehset ahiye.
For this reason we feel comforted; and--in addition to this our comfort--we have been filled with all the deeper joy at Titus's joy, because his spirit has been set at rest by you all.
14 Keiman nangho hi ichan geiya ka kiletsah piu chule nei lunglhah sahlouvu thudol kaseipehsa ahitai. Keiman nangho thutahbeh kaseipeh jing nahiuvin chule tua hi Titus henga kakisonna thu kaseijong adih monge ti photchet ahitai.
For however I may have boasted to him about you, I have no reason to feel ashamed; but as we have in all respects spoken the truth to you, so also our boasting to Titus about you has turned out to be the truth.
15 Tuhin aman nangho atila sangin naha gelkhoh cheh tauvin ahi ajeh chu nang hon ama gin le ja umtah puma nabon chauva nalem uva asei nangai jalu ahi.
And his strong and tender affection is all the more drawn out towards you when he recalls to mind the obedience which all of you manifested by the timidity and nervous anxiety with which you welcomed him.
16 Keiman nangho tahsanna bulhingset'a kanei nahi jeh uva tua hi kipah tah a uma kahitai.
I rejoice that I have absolute confidence in you.
