1 Hezekiah lengpa hin kitahna neitah a Pakai lungdeilam ahollai tah in Assyria lengpa Sennacherib hin Judah gam sung ahin bulutan ahi. Aman kulkikai khum khopiho ahin lonvuhtan chuleh asepaite chu kulpi palhochu vochipma khopi sunga lutdingin thu apen ahi
After these things, and this faithfulness, Sennacherib king of Assyria came, and entered into Judah, and camped against the fortified cities, and thought to win them for himself.
2 Sennacherib min Jerusalem khopi ahin nokhumtai ti amu phatnin,
When Hezekiah saw that Sennacherib had come, and that he intended to fight against Jerusalem,
3 Amanam a noija lamkai holeh sepai lamkai hotoh akihoutoh in khopi polamma longdoh twi chu sutang ding tin aki loltaove
he took counsel with his princes and his mighty men to stop the waters of the springs which were outside of the city; and they helped him.
4 Hitichun mitamtah akikhom doh un twi gamsunga long lutjouse chu asutang gammun hitin aseijuve: “Ipi dinga Assyria lengpa chu hunga twi neng jeng junga amuthei diu ham?” atiove
So many people gathered together, and they stopped all the springs, and the brook that flowed through the midst of the land, saying, "Why should the kings of Assyria come, and find much water?"
5 Hitichun aman khopi chim hochu asemphan khopi sunga panmun akisem toh'in akisuh hatnin pal chunga insang hojong atungdoh in chuleh polanga palchom jong asemben, galmanchah holeh ompho hojong neng chetnin asemmin ahi
He took courage, and built up all the wall that was broken down, and raised towers upon it, and the other wall outside, and strengthened Millo in the City of David, and made weapons and shields in abundance.
6 Hiche banna chun aman aman khopi sunga mipi hochu sepai lamkaiho noija akoiyin amahochun khopi kelkot kom mun onglai jachun akhommin hitihin ajah uva chun tilkhou na thu aseijin ahi
He set captains of war over the people, and gathered them together to him in the broad place at the gate of the city, and spoke comfortably to them, saying,
7 ”Hatnunglang hangun Assyria lengpa leh ahinkilhon pi mihonpi jehkhun kicha hih un, ajeh chu ama umpiho sangin eiho umpi ho atamjouve” ati
"Be strong and courageous, do not be afraid nor dismayed for the king of Assyria, nor for all the multitude who is with him; for there is a greater with us than with him.
8 Ajeh chu ama umpi hohi tahsaphe muthei sepaiho ahiove amavang eiho ei umpiova chu Pakai Pathen ahin amatah in igallu hi eisat hu pehdiu ahi” ati. Hiti hin Judah lengpa Hezekiah thucheng hohin mipi hochu alung ngamsah in ahan sansah lheh jengtan ahi
With him is an arm of flesh; but with us is the LORD our God to help us, and to fight our battles." The people rested themselves on the words of Hezekiah king of Judah.
9 Hiche jouhin Assyria lengpa Sennacherib chun asoh teho chu Jerusalem langah asollin, Judah lengpa Hezekiah leh Jerusalem ma um Judah te jouse komma chun aseisah in:
After this, Sennacherib king of Assyria sent his servants to Jerusalem, (now he was before Lachish, and all his power with him), to Hezekiah king of Judah, and to all Judah who were at Jerusalem, saying,
10 Assyria lengpa Sennacherib min hitin aseije ipi kisonpi nanei juva kalonvuh khumsa Jerusalem mahi nahiti um ngamu ham?
Thus says Sennacherib king of Assyria, "In whom do you trust, that you remain under siege in Jerusalem?
11 Nalengpao Hezekiah in Pakai na Pathenun keiho lengpa a konna nahuh diuva asei chu najou lhepmu ahin, gilkel le dangchah a nathisah gamgot nu ahibouve
Doesn't Hezekiah persuade you, to give you over to die by famine and by thirst, saying, 'The LORD our God will deliver us out of the hand of the king of Assyria?'
12 Ama hilouham houdang maicham leh halnam ho susea Judah te Jerusalem mipi te jah a houkhat seh leh maicham khatsehbou neiding tia chu Hezekiah hilouham?
Hasn't the same Hezekiah taken away his high places and his altars, and commanded Judah and Jerusalem, saying, 'You shall worship before one altar, and on it you shall burn incense?'
13 Kapu kapateo leh keiman nam dang ho chunga katohnaohi nahet lou uham? Namdnagho pathen hon Assyria lengpa – a konna amite ahuhhing jou mong mong ngam?
Do you not know what I and my fathers have done to all the peoples of the lands? Were the gods of the nations of the lands in any way able to deliver their land out of my hand?
14 Itih monga gamdang pathen nin agammi keihoa konna ahuhdoh jou beh am? Ahileh tua chu iti nangai touva na Pathennu chun keihoa konna nahuhdoh joudiuva chu ipin nakinepsah uham?
Who was there among all the gods of those nations which my fathers utterly destroyed, that could deliver his people out of my hand, that your God should be able to deliver you out of my hand?
15 Phatah in kingai touvin Hezekiah chu hitichun ki lheplhah sah hih un, Tahsan hih un koimacha nam pathen nin Assyria lengpa – a kon in amite ahuhdoh jou pon ahi. Tahbeh in nangho Pathen nin jong kei hoa konna nang ho nahuhdoh joubeh dingham?
Now therefore do not let Hezekiah deceive you, nor persuade you in this way, neither believe him; for no god of any nation or kingdom was able to deliver his people out of my hand, and out of the hand of my fathers. How much less will your God deliver you out of my hand?"
16 Assyria lamkai hochun Pakai Pathen leh Pathen sohpa Hezekiah demna chu thilthang hoi tah tahjong aseijun ahi
His servants spoke yet more against the LORD God, and against his servant Hezekiah.
17 Assyria lengpan athot lekha chun Israel Pakai Pathen chu aha dem lheh jengin ahi. Hichun aseije: “Namdnag ho pathenin katha nein a – a kon in amiteo ahuhdoh jou pouvin ahi, Hezekiah Pathennin jong keija kon in amite huhdoh joupon te” atin ahi
He also wrote letters insulting the LORD, the God of Israel, and to speak against him, saying, "As the gods of the nations of the lands, which have not delivered their people out of my hand, so shall the God of Hezekiah not deliver his people out of my hand."
18 Amahon mipi hetding chun Hebrew paovin Jerusalem mipiho leh palchunga umho jahdinga ahet thei dingu chuleh lungneosah ding hitia chu bailamtah a jothei nading atio ahi
They cried with a loud voice in the Jews' language to the people of Jerusalem who were on the wall, to frighten them, and to trouble them; that they might take the city.
19 Judate Pathen chu nam dang dangho semthu pathen toh kibanga aseikhum jengu ahi
They spoke of the God of Jerusalem, as of the gods of the peoples of the earth, which are the work of men's hands.
20 Tun Hezekiah lengpa leh Isaiah Amoz chapa chu Pathen hengah kaple pengin ataolhon tan ahi
Hezekiah the king, and Isaiah the prophet the son of Amoz, prayed because of this, and cried to heaven.

The LORD sent an angel, who cut off all the mighty men of valor, and the leaders and captains, in the camp of the king of Assyria. So he returned with shame of face to his own land. When he had come into the house of his god, some of his own offspring killed him there with the sword.
22 Hitichun Pakaiyin Hezekiah lengpa leh Jerusalem mipi techu Assyria lengpa leh galmi danghoa kon in ahuhdoh tan ahi. Hitichun Pathenin amite chu avelluva cheng gamsung mihoa kon in jong chamna alensah taan ahi
Thus the LORD saved Hezekiah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem from the hand of Sennacherib the king of Assyria, and from the hand of all others, and gave them rest on every side.
23 Mitamtah in Jerusalem Pakai jadingin kiphaldohna thilpeh ahin choijun chuleh Judah lengpa Hezekiah dingin kipa thilpeh ahung peovin hichea konhin Hezekiah chu namtin lah a choisangin a um taan ahi
Many brought gifts to the LORD to Jerusalem, and precious things to Hezekiah king of Judah; so that he was exalted in the sight of all nations from thenceforth.
24 Hichephat laisung hin Hezekiah chu ahung dammotan athi kon ahitaan, Pathen komma ataovin ahileh Pathenin nadamdoh ding ahinai atin melchih nakhat apen ahi
In those days Hezekiah was sick even to death: and he prayed to the LORD; and he spoke to him, and gave him a sign.
25 Ahinlah Hezekiah chu Pakaiyin Judah leh Jerusalem chuleh amachunga thilpha abolpeh ho chunga kipathu seithei loukhop min ahung kiletsah taan hijechun amachung leh Judah le Jerusalem chunga chun Pathen lunghan na ahung chu tan ahi.
But Hezekiah did not render again according to the benefit done to him; for his heart was lifted up: therefore there was wrath on him, and on Judah and Jerusalem.
26 Hiphat chun amaleh Judah te leh Jerusalem miteho nasatah in akisunem mun ahileh Hezekiah hinlai sungin achung'uva hunglhung ding hochu asoh tapon ahi
Notwithstanding Hezekiah humbled himself for the pride of his heart, both he and the inhabitants of Jerusalem, so that the wrath of the LORD did not come on them in the days of Hezekiah.
27 Hezekiah chun neilegou ahaolheh jengtaan jana lentah jong achangin ahi. Aman sana le dangka chuleh song mantam, namtwi ho, ompho holeh thilman tamtah ho koinading dankhat jong asaovin ahi
Hezekiah had a very great amount of riches and honor: and he provided him treasuries for silver, and for gold, and for precious stones, and for spices, and for shields, and for all kinds of goodly vessels;
28 Hiche chung chonnin jong chang le mim, lengpitwi chuleh Olive thao le ganchaho koitup na ding chuleh kelngoi chalho inding akikolkhum agetpeh in ahi

29 Hicheho banna hin Pathennin kelngoi gancha jatchom chom tamtah leh neile gou tamtah anapen khopi tamtah jong anatun dohsah in ahi
Moreover he provided him cities, and possessions of flocks and herds in abundance; for God had given him very much substance.
30 Hichu Hezekiah hin Gihon vadung twilondoh na achungnungjo jongchu ana ting tangin David khopi nilhum lang ngin asuh lonsah in ahi. Hiche Hezekiah hi atoh na lam lammah akhangtou lheh jengin ahi
This same Hezekiah also stopped the upper spring of the waters of Gihon, and brought them straight down on the west side of the City of David. Hezekiah prospered in all his works.
31 Babylon khopi lhalheng hon hiche gamsunga thil kidang tah tah sohdoh ho kholtoh dinga ahung u chun Pathennin apatepmin achanglha tan ahi
However concerning the ambassadors of the princes of Babylon, who sent to him to inquire of the wonder that was done in the land, God left him, to try him, that he might know all that was in his heart.

Now the rest of the acts of Hezekiah, and his good deeds, look, they are written in the vision of Isaiah the prophet the son of Amoz, in the book of the kings of Judah and Israel.
