Then Jehoshaphat, his son, reigned in his place. And he grew strong against Israel.
2 Judah gamsunga kulpi kigen khopi jousea a sepai ho chu atousah in, chule Judah gam'a apa Asa in ana lah Ephraim gam'a khopiho ngah ding mi anganse be in ahi.
And he appointed numbers of soldiers in all the cities of Judah that had been fortified with walls. And he placed garrisons in the land of Judah, and in the cities of Ephraim that his father Asa had seized.

And the Lord was with Jehoshaphat, because he walked in the first ways of his father, David. And he did not trust in the Baals,

but in the God of his father. And he advanced in his precepts, and not according to the sins of Israel.
5 Hiti chun Pakaiyin Judah lenggam chunga vaihom dingin Jehosophat chu atungdoh tan, Judah mite jousen Jehosophat chu kipa thilpeh ahin pohpeh un; hitichun ama chu haosa tah le sangtah’a ginle ja in aumtan ahi.
And the Lord confirmed the kingdom in his hand. And all of Judah gave gifts to Jehoshaphat. And innumerable riches were brought to him, and much glory.
6 Ama chu giltah’in Pakai lampi hoa akipelut jengin ahi. Aman Judah gamsunga milim doi houna jamona lim ma kisem Asherah khom ho aladoh soh keitai.
And when his heart had taken courage because of the ways of the Lord, he now also took away the high places and the sacred groves from Judah.
7 Jehosophat Leng chan kal kum thum lhin kum chun, Judah khopi jousea amilen amilal ho chu mihil dingin asollin ahi. Hiche Milen milal ho chu Benhiel, Obadiah, Zechariah, Nathaniel chule Micaiah ahiuve. Elishana le Jeroboam thempu teni jong asoldoh in ahi.
Then, in the third year of his reign, he sent Benhail, and Obadiah, and Zechariah, and Nethanel, and Micaiah, from among his leaders, so that they might teach in the cites of Judah.

And with them were the Levites Shemaiah and Nethaniah and Zebadiah, and also Asahel and Shemiramoth and Jehonathan, and the Levites Adonijah and Tobijah and Tobadonijah. And with them were the priests Elishama and Jehoram.

And they were teaching the people in Judah, having with them the book of the law of the Lord. And they were traveling through all the cities of Judah, and were instructing the people.
10 Chuti chun akim vella lenggam jouse chunga chun, Pakai ginna chu achutan, hijeh chun Jehosophat douna khat beh in jong gal abolnom tapouve.
And so, the fear of the Lord fell upon all the kingdoms of the lands which were around Judah. And they did not dare to make war against Jehoshaphat.
11 Palestine gam'a mi phabep khat kipa thilpeh le dangka ama jabolna chun ahinpouvin, chule Arab mite chun kelngoi chal ja sagi le kelchal sang sagi le jasagi ahin poh peh uvin ahi.
Moreover, the Philistines carried gifts to Jehoshaphat, and a tribute in silver. Also, the Arabians brought cattle: seven thousand seven hundred rams, and the same number of he-goats.
12 Hitichun Jehosophat chu athahat cheh cheh jengin, chule kulpi le thilkholna khopi ho chu Judah gamsung pumpia chun asabe jing in ahi.
Therefore, Jehoshaphat increased and was magnified, even on high. And in Judah, he built houses in the likeness of towers, and walled cities.
13 Judah khopi ho achun nehle chah atama tam akoiyin, thepna sangtah nei sepai hon ho chu Jerusalem a chun atousah in ahi. A sepai ho chu apu apa lhah’a phungkhai dungjuiyin aminnu akhumpeh in ahi.
And he prepared many works in the cities of Judah. Also, there were men experienced in warfare in Jerusalem,
14 Judah phunga konin sepai sang jathum, honkhatna sangkhat cheh chu Adnah lamkaina noija aum uvin ahi.
and this is the number of them, by each of the houses and families. In Judah, the leader of the army was Adnah, the commander; and with him were three hundred thousand very experienced men.
15 Ama noichetna lamkai chu Jehohanan ahin, aman sepai sang jani le sang somget alamkai in ahi.
After him, Jehohanan was the leader; and with him were two hundred eighty thousand.
16 Abana Zecri chapa Amaniah chu ama chammin Pakai natong dingin ahung kipeldoh in, ama lamkai na noiya chun sang jani aumin ahi.
Also after him, there was Amasiah, the son of Zichri, who was consecrated to the Lord; and with him were two hundred thousand strong men.
17 Benjamin phunga konin thalpi le pho mangcha sepai sang jani aumme, amaho chu sepai tamtah Eleada lamkai na noiya um ahiuve.
Following him, there was Eliada, who was experienced in battle; and with him were two hundred thousand, holding bow and shield.
18 Abanna chun Jehojabad chu ahin, aman gal manchah choi mi sang jakhat le sang somget alamkai jin ahi.
Then too, after him, there was Jehozabad; and with him were one hundred eighty thousand lightly-armed soldiers.
19 Sepai hijat hi Jerusalem a lengpan amanchah ahin, hiche chungchonna hin Jehosophat chun Judah gam pumpia kulpi kigen khopihoa jong atousah in ahi.
All these were at the hand of the king, aside from the others, whom he had positioned in the walled cities, in all of Judah.
