< 2 Thusimbu 16 >
1 Asa Lengvai poh kum somthum lhin kumin, Israel lengpa Baasha chun Judah gam ahin bullu tan ahile; Judah gamsunga Asa gamkol akonna koimacha lutle potle aumlouna dingin Ramah khopia chun kul agen tan ahi.
In the thirty-sixth year of Asa’s reign, Baasha king of Israel went up against Judah, and built Ramah, that he might not allow anyone to go out or come in to Asa king of Judah.
2 Asa chun alethuh nai, Pakai Houin le leng inpia um gouthil kikoina um sana le dangka jouse chu aladoh in; Damascus gam vaihom Ram Lengpa Baasha chu thu athot tan ahi.
Then Asa brought out silver and gold out of the treasures of the LORD’s house and of the king’s house, and sent to Ben Hadad king of Syria, who lived at Damascus, saying,
3 Kapa le nangpa kah’a kinoptona ana um bang chun eini kah’a jong umhen. “Ven, keiman sana le dangka kahin thotne Israel lengpa Baasha toh na kinop tona hon chu sutang jengin chutile aman eidalha tante.”
“Let there be a treaty between me and you, as there was between my father and your father. Behold, I have sent you silver and gold. Go, break your treaty with Baasha king of Israel, that he may depart from me.”
4 Ben-Hadad leng pan Asa taona anoppeh in, chule Israel khopi ho bullu ding in a sepai ja lamkai pachu asoltan ahi. Amahon Ijon, dan Abel-beth- Maacah khopiho le Naphthali gam sunga thil khol khopi len ho jouse chu ala tauvin ahi.
Ben Hadad listened to King Asa, and sent the captains of his armies against the cities of Israel; and they struck Ijon, Dan, Abel Maim, and all the storage cities of Naphtali.
5 Baasha Israel Lengpan thilsoh ho chu ajah doh doh chun, Ramah khopi kul getna tohgon adalhan anatoh jouse chu angatan ahi.
When Baasha heard of it, he stopped building Ramah, and let his work cease.
6 Chuin Lengpa Asa, “Chun in Ramah khopia kul semnaa mandin Baashan akoi in, songho le thing kiatsa ho pomang ding chun Judah te mijouse chu akoudoh tan ahi. Hiche chu Geba le Mizpah khopi kul semnan amangcha tan ahi.”
Then Asa the king took all Judah, and they carried away the stones and timber of Ramah, with which Baasha had built; and he built Geba and Mizpah with them.
7 Hiche pet hin Hanami mitva neipa Lengpa Asa komma ahungin, chule hitin asepeh’e, “Nangman Pakai na-Pathen khella Ram Lengpa chunga tahsana na koi tah jeh chun, Ram Lengpa sepaite suhmang na ding phatpha chu namansah tai.
At that time Hanani the seer came to Asa king of Judah, and said to him, “Because you have relied on the king of Syria, and have not relied on the LORD your God, therefore the army of the king of Syria has escaped out of your hand.
8 Ethiopia le Libya te chule Sepai tamtah toh akangtalai hou le kangtalai tol ho chunga, ipi anasoh ham tichu nagel doh lou hitam? Hiche petna chu nangma Pakaiya naki ngai jeh’a aman nangma napehdoh ahi,” ati.
Weren’t the Ethiopians and the Lubim a huge army, with chariots and exceedingly many horsemen? Yet, because you relied on the LORD, he delivered them into your hand.
9 Pakaiyin leiset pumpia hi ama komma alungthim pea kipedoh ho chu, “Athahat theina diuva amit tenia hi ahol le ji ahi. Iti ngolla ngol nahi hitam! Tua kipat na hi nang man gal nasat jing ding ahitai,” tin aseipeh tan ahi.
For the LORD’s eyes run back and forth throughout the whole earth, to show himself strong in the behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward him. You have done foolishly in this; for from now on you will have wars.”
10 Hanani in hitiho aseipeh jeh chun, Asa chu alung hang behset in ama chu Songkul'a ahengin bul atuh tan ahi. Hiche pet chun amite phabep jong asugim pan tan ahi.
Then Asa was angry with the seer, and put him in the prison; for he was in a rage with him because of this thing. Asa oppressed some of the people at the same time.
11 Asa Lengvaipoh abulla pat achaina chan thilsoh thusim adangho chu, Judah le Israel te lengho thusim bua akijih lut soh keijin ahi.
Behold, the acts of Asa, first and last, behold, they are written in the book of the kings of Judah and Israel.
12 Ama Leng vaipoh kum somthum le ko lhin kum chun, Asa chu keng natna khohtah khat aveitan ahi. Chutobang natna khohtah aneijing vang chun, Pakai hollouvin alou them aithem hojoh kithopina ahol jingin ahi.
In the thirty-ninth year of his reign, Asa was diseased in his feet. His disease was exceedingly great; yet in his disease he didn’t seek the LORD, but just the physicians.
13 Hichun aleng vaipoh kum som le li lhinna kum chun athitan ahi.
Asa slept with his fathers, and died in the forty-first year of his reign.
14 David khopia chun aman song chunga ana kikhen lhan achun akivuitan ahi. Ama chu gim namtui le thao namtui kinu lupna achun alupsah un, chuin mipi ho chun ama jana vetsahnan kigona meikong lentah khat ahaluvin ahi.
They buried him in his own tomb, which he had dug out for himself in David’s city, and laid him in the bed which was filled with sweet odors and various kinds of spices prepared by the perfumers’ art; and they made a very great fire for him.
