< 1 Timothy 4 >
1 Tun Lhagao Thengin kichehtah-in eiseipeh-un, ni nunung teng mitamtah, tahsan dihtah-a kona pullha ding, amahon thilha hoa kona lhagao dihlouho thuhil ajui diu ahi.
NOW the Spirit speaketh expresly, that in the latter days some will apostatise from the faith, giving heed to spirits of delusion, and doctrines of devils;
2 Amaho chu thuhillhem chule mijouho ahiuvin, selepha ahetnau lungthim chu athisa ahi.
men who teach lies with hypocrisy; and have their own consciences cauterised;
3 Amahon jinei hi adihpoi atiuvin chuleh thutah hea tahsanten thangvah taona puma aneh diuva Pathen in asemho chu nehding adihpoi atidiu ahi.
prohibiting marriage, and enjoining abstinence from particular meats, which God created to be received with thanksgiving by the faithful, and those who acknowledge the truth.
4 Ajehchu Pathen thilsemho jouse hi thangvah taona puma ikisana ahileh aphamo umlou paidoh ding jong umlou ahi.
For every creature of God is good, and none to be rejected, if used with thanksgiving:
5 Ajehchu hiche hi Pathen Thule taonaa santhei ding dol a kisuthenga ahiti iheuve.
for it is sanctified by the word of God and prayer.
6 Timothy nangin hichehohi sopiho koma nasei chetpehleh nangma, tahsan thua kikhoukhah chule thuhilpha juiyah, Christa Yeshua lhacha lomtah nahi ding ahi.
If thou suggest these truths to the brethren, thou shalt be a good minister of Jesus Christ, nourished up in the words of faith and sound doctrine, whereunto thou hast attained.
7 Amavang Pathen deilou gollui thusimho le thuchavai ki houlimna hoa konin kidalsen lang Pathen dei hinkhoa kipuikhangna ah kipelutjon.
But profane and antiquated fables reject, but exercise thyself unto godliness.
8 Tahsalam phatchomna dinga kimanchah hi aphanai, ahinla Lhagaolam dol a phatchomna dinga kimanchah hi aphajoi, ajeh chu hichehin tuhinkhoa dingleh khonunga dinga phatchomna tah ahi chu thutep uma ahi.
For bodily exercise is of little advantage, but godliness is profitable for all things, having the promise of the life which now is, and of that which is to come.
9 Hichehi tahsan theidol tah-a kisei ahin, mijousen asanding doltah ahi.
This is a faithful saying, and deserving all acceptance.
10 Hiche ding jeh-a hi hatah a itoh-u ahin, tohjong itohjom jing dingu ahi, ajeh chu, mijouse huhhingpu ahidehset a tahsan chate Huhhingpu hingjing Pathena ikijopnau uma ahi.
For therefore do we labour and are exposed to abuse, because we have hoped in the living God, who is the Saviour of all men, especially of the faithful.
11 Hiche thu hohi hil inlang amaho chu hetthemsah teiding khohsah-in.
Announce and teach these things.
12 Nakhandonjeh hin mi nahsahmo theiyin umhih-in, amavang nathusei dan leh nahinkho mandan in, namingailutna-in, natahsan hinkho kimanchah danleh thenna hinkho naman danin atahsan ho vetjui theiyin um'in.
Let no man despise thy youth; but be a pattern of the faithful, in discourse; in conduct, in love, in spirit, in faith, in purity.
13 Keima kahung kahsen, Pathen Thu simna in, tahsan chate tilkhouna-in chuleh thuhillam in anaponthon.
Till I come, apply to reading, to exhortation, to teaching.
14 Houbunga Pakai lhachaten nachunga khut angap uva nachungchang thua themgao thuphondoh naa kona Lhagao Thilpeh nachan chu nahsahmo hihbeh-in.
Neglect not the gift which is in thee, which was given thee by prophecy, with imposition of the hands of the presbytery.
15 Hichenga hin lungluttah-in pangin. Nakhantouna hi mijouse het a akilah dohtheina dingin nanatohna-a hin kipumpeh jingin.
Let these things be thy care; be wholly devoted to them; that thy progress may be evident to all men.
16 Nathuhil dungjui chun kimangchan, hichu chepi jingin chutileh Pathen in phatthei naboh ding chuleh nathuhil jahojong phatthei chang diu ahi.
Take heed unto thyself, and to thy doctrine; abide in them: for so doing thou shalt both save thyself, and those who hear thee.
