< 1 Timothy 2 >

1 Amasapen in mijouse dinga tao dingin kangeh-un ahi. Pathen hepina achan theina dingun thum'un, chuleh amaho dingin thangvahna peuvin.
I exhort, then, first of all, there be made supplications, prayers, intercessions, thanksgivings, for all men—
2 Lengho leh thuneina muna umho dingin taovun, hitia chu Pathen jana neipuma lungmong tahle chamdel a hinkho imantheina diuvin.
for kings, and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all piety and gravity,
3 Ijeh-inem itileh hichu thilphatah eihuhhingpau Pathen lahthei doltah ahi.
for this [is] right and acceptable before God our Savior,
4 Aman mijouse hi huhhing'a aumtheina dingleh thutah hetna ahinneithei diu hi eideipeh u ahi.
who wills all men to be saved, and to come to the full knowledge of the truth;
5 Ajehchu Pathen khatseh leh mihemte kikah-a chamna eisempeh theiyuvah palai khatseh Yeshua Christa aumin ahi.
for [there is] one God, also one mediator of God and of men—the man Christ Jesus,
6 Aman mijouse dingin ahinna mangchan chamlhatna eichohdoh peh tauvin ahi. Hiche hi Pathen in vannoi mite aphatcha ahetsahnom chu ahi.
who gave Himself [as] a ransom for all—the testimony in its own times—
7 Chule hiche tahsan thu leh thutah thuhi chidang namdangte lah-a hilchen ding leh seiphong dinga keima hi solchah-a eikilhengdoh ahitai. Keiman kaseivalpoi thutah bou kasei ahi.
in regard to which I was set a preacher and apostle—truth I say in Christ, I do not lie—a teacher of nations, in faith and truth.
8 Pathen houkhomna mun jousea, mihon lunghanna le kinelbautam neilouva Pathen lama akhuttheng adop uva taona amandiu kadeiyin ahi.
I intend, therefore, that men pray in every place, lifting up holy hands, apart from anger and deliberation;
9 Chuleh numei hohi adolbep chan kijemu henlang kiphalam khenchan umuhen. Akivondiu bepchan kivon u henlang, asampheh danuvah chingtheiyuhen, sana le dangka mantam ahilouleh thilman lutah kivona kilelahna neidauhen.
also the women in like manner, in orderly apparel, to adorn themselves with modesty and sobriety, not in braided hair, or gold, or pearls, or clothing of great price,
10 Ajehchu Pathen ngaisah kahi ti numeiho chu achonphatnauvin kijemjoleu aphai.
but—which becomes women professing godly piety—through good works.
11 Numeihon kangkhencha leh ginggeh cha a um kithemchuh uhen.
Let a woman learn in quietness in all subjection,
12 Numei hohi pasalho chunga thunei dingleh thuhil dingin thu kapepoi, thipkhen chan thu ngaileu kati.
and I do not allow a woman to teach, nor to rule a husband, but to be in quietness,
13 Ajehchu Pathen in Adam asem masan chujouvin Eve asemin ahi.
for Adam was formed first, then Eve,
14 Chuleh Satan in alheplhah chu Adam ahipon, numeinu joh chu ana lheplhah-a chonset hunglut ahi.
and Adam was not deceived, but the woman, having been deceived, came into transgression,
15 Ahinlah numeiho hi tahsannale ngailutna'a, thenna le chonnema aum jingleh achahin uva kona huhhing'a umding ahiuve.
and she will be saved through the childbearing, if they remain in faith, and love, and sanctification, with sobriety.
