1 Solomon Lengpan Israelte phung bahkai holeh phung jouse lamkai hole upa ho jouse Jerusalema hunga David khopi Zionna kona Pakai kitepna thingkong chu hinpu’a Houina thahlut dingin akou khom tan ahi.
Then Solomon assembled the elders of Israel, all the heads of the tribes, and the leaders of the families of the people of Israel, before himself in Jerusalem, to bring up the ark of the covenant of Yahweh from the city of David, that is, Zion.
2 Hiti chun Israelte chu lha sagi channa Ethanim lhasung in hoibitna golvah umkhom dingin ahung kikhom tauvin ahi.
All the men of Israel assembled before King Solomon at the feast, in the month of Ethanim, which is the seventh month.
3 Israel lamkaiho jouse ahung kikhop khom phat un thempu hon apu uvin akipat doh tauvin,
All the elders of Israel came, and the priests took up the ark.
4 Levite le thempu hon Pakai umpina ponbuh chuleh manchah thengho jouse chutoh Houin ah apo lut un ahi.
They brought up the ark of Yahweh, the tent of meeting, and all the holy furnishings that were in the tent. The priests and the Levites brought these things up.
5 Solomon Lengpa leh Israel mipiho jouse chu Pakai kitepna thingkong masanga chun aki khom un kelngoi tamtah leh bongchal tamtah athat un kilhaina pumgo thilto abol'un agancha thao hochu atam behseh jeh in simjou ahi pon ahi.
King Solomon and all the assembly of Israel came together before the ark, sacrificing sheep and oxen that could not be counted.
6 Hichun thempu hon Pakai kitepna thingkong chu Houin sunga apolut un Cherubimim teni lhaving noi muntheng chungnung penna chun akai tauvin ahi.
The priests brought in the ark of the covenant of Yahweh to its place, into the inner room of the house, to the most holy place, under the wings of the cherubim.
7 Hitichun thingkong chuleh aputna moljol teni jong chu Cherubim teni lhalim teni noija chun aum tan ahi.
For the cherubim spread out their wings to the place of the ark, and they covered the ark and the poles by which it was carried.
8 Hiche aputna mol teni hi munthengpen masang’a chu idin leh jangpet in akimu thei jin, mun choma kon vang'in akimu thei pon ahi. Hiche moljol teni hi tuni geijin aum nalai je.
The poles were so long that their ends were seen from the holy place in front of the inner room, but they could not be seen from outside. They are there to this day.
9 Hiche kitepna thingkong sung’a hin thildang aum pon Israelte Egypt a kona ahung pot doh uva Pathen in Sinai mol’a Mose ana peh Israelte toh aki tepna song pheng teni bouchu a um'in ahi.
There was nothing in the ark except the two tablets of stone that Moses had put there at Horeb, when Yahweh made a covenant with the people of Israel when they came out of the land of Egypt.
10 Thempuho chu muntheng pena kona ahung potdoh teng uleh meilom sa-tah chun Houin chu akhu khum jeng jin ahi
It came about that when the priests came out of the holy place, the cloud filled the temple of Yahweh.
11 Meilom chun Houin ahin khu teng leh Pathen loupi na chun houin alo dim ji in Thempu hon na atong jom thei ji tapouvin ahi.
The priests could not stand to serve because of the cloud, for the glory of Yahweh filled his house.
12 Hiteng chuleh Solomon in taona amang jin, “O Pakai! Meilom a khun kaum ji nana ti,
Then Solomon said, “Yahweh has said that he would live in thick darkness,
13 Pakai tuhin Tonsotna na chen na thei dingin hiche houin thupitah hi ka sahdoh peh tan ahi!” ati.
But I have built you a lofty residence, a place for you to live in forever.”
14 Hijou teng chu leh Lengpa chu ahung ki heijin avel’a ding mihon pi hiti hin phatthei aboh jin ahi.
Then the king turned around and blessed all the assembly of Israel, while all the assembly of Israel was standing.
15 “Israelte Pakai Pathen chu thangvah in umhen! Aman kapa David kom’a ana kitep na chu amolso tan ahi, ajeh chu Aman kapa kom ah,
He said, “May Yahweh, the God of Israel, be praised, who spoke to David my father, and has fulfilled it with his own hands, saying,
16 ‘Kami Israelte chu Egypt makona kahin puidoh a pat chun, keima ei kihouna ding houin aki sahna dingin Israelte chenna gam khopi khatcha jong kana lhengpon ahinlah David nangma hi kami Israelte chunga vaihom dingin kana lheng in ahi!’” anati.
'Since the day that I brought my people Israel out of Egypt, I chose no city out of all the tribes of Israel in which to build a house, in order for my name to be there. However, I chose David to rule over my people Israel.'
17 Chuin Solomon chun aseiben, “Kapa David chun Israelte Pakai Pathen min loupi dopsang na dingin houin ana sa gon ahi.
Now it was in the heart of David my father to build a house for the name of Yahweh, the God of Israel.
18 Pakaiyin Keima min Loupina ding’a Houin sah nagot nalungtup chu ahoi nai,
But Yahweh said to David my father, 'In that it was in your heart to build a house for my name, you did well for it to be in your heart.
19 Hinlah hiche Houin sa ding chu nang nahipoi, keima min loupina Houin sa ding chu na chate lah a khatpen in asah ding ahi bouve!” ati.
Nevertheless you will not build the house; instead, your son, one who will be born from your loins, will build the house for my name.'
20 “Tun Pakai nang in na kitepna chu na lolhin sahtan kapa khel lin keima leng ka hung chang tan chuleh Pakai nangma nakitepna bang in Israel laltouna a chun keima ka laltoutan ahi. Tun Israel Pakai Pathen nangma min loupina dingin houin chu ka hin tungdoh tan ahi.
Yahweh has carried out the word that he had said, for I have arisen in the place of David my father, and I sit on the throne of Israel, as Yahweh promised. I have built the house for the name of Yahweh, the God of Israel.
21 Chuleh Pakai nang in kapu kapa te’u Egypt a kona na hin pui doh hotoh nana ki tepna thingkong jong chu akei na ding kahin gong tan ahi,” ati.
I have made a place for the ark there, in which is Yahweh's covenant, which he made with our fathers when he brought them out of the land of Egypt.”
22 Hijou chun, Solomon chu Israel mipite jouse masang Pakai maicham noija chun adingin, vanlam’ah akhut adom sang in,
Solomon stood before the altar of Yahweh, before all the assembly of Israel, and spread out his hands toward the heavens.
23 Hitin atao tai, “Vo Pakai Israel Pathen, hiche vannoi leiset ahin nang tobang Pathen dang aum poi, Nang ma mitmu’a alung thim pumpia kal songho chung ah na kitepna dung juiyin na ngailut na lhasam louhel in na musah jing in ahi.
He said, “Yahweh, God of Israel, there is no God like you in the heavens above or on the earth below, who keeps his covenant faithfulness with your servants who walk before you with all their heart;
24 Nangin kapa David kom a nakitepna chu nalhakang pon ahi. Nangman nakam’a naphondoh na kitepna bang in na khut tah’in tunin na lolhin sah tan ahi,” ati.
you who have kept with your servant David my father, what you promised him. Yes, you spoke with your mouth and have fulfilled it with your hand, as it is today.
25 “Tun O Pakai Israel Pathen, nang in kapa David komma nana kitepna abanjong chu subulhit tan, ajeh chu nangman ama kom’a nana seichun na chilhah ten lamdih ahin chepi uva, nang chouna banga kitahna neitah a ajui uva ahileh nachate lah’a khat pen pen chu Israel Laltouna a hung toupeh ding ahibouve na ti chu,
Now then, Yahweh, God of Israel, carry out what you have promised to your servant David my father, when you said, 'You will not fail to have a man in my sight to sit on the throne of Israel, if only your descendants are careful to walk before me, as you have walked before me.'
26 O Israel Pathen! Nasohpa kapa David kom’a hitia nana kitepna chu tuhin subulhit tan,” ati.
Now then, God of Israel, let your word be confirmed, which you have spoken to your servant David my father.
27 “Ahinlah Pathen chu hiche leiset a hi iti chen ding ham? Ahipoi, van sangpen in jong na dol ponte chuti ahileh hiche keiman ka tundoh Houin hin iti na dol ding ham?
But will God actually live on the earth? Look, the entire universe and heaven itself cannot contain you—how much less can this temple that I have built!
28 Ahinlah, O Pakai ka Pathen kataona le kathum nahi nei ngaipeh in, na sohpa na kom’a kaka nale ka taona hi nei ngai peh tei jin,
Yet please respect this prayer of your servant and his request, Yahweh my God; listen to the cry and prayer that your servant prays before you today.
29 Nang in kamin umjing ding ahi, nana tina hiche Houin hi asun ajan in hin velhi jing in lang, hiche lang ngatna katao chan’in nangin kataona nei ngaipeh in.
May your eyes be open toward this temple night and day, to the place about which you have said, 'My name and my presence will be there'—in order to listen to the prayers that your servant will pray toward this place.
30 Nami Israelte lah ahin keima kahin hiche lang ngatna kisunemtah le ngaichatna nei tah a kahung tao teng uleh neihin ngaipeh teijun, van na chenna munna kona na hin jah teng jong leh neingai peh un, na jah teng leh neingaidam’un,” ati.
So listen to the request of your servant and of your people Israel when we pray toward this place. Yes, listen from the place where you live, from the heavens; and when you listen, forgive.
31 “Khat touvin mikhat chunga bolkhel aneiya, hiche Houin maicham maiya hi kamopoi tia kihahsel a auma ahileh,
If a man sins against his neighbor and is required to swear an oath, and if he comes and swears an oath before your altar in this house,
32 Nang in vanna konin hin ngaijin lang mihehpa le aki hehpa kikah a thu hintan’in lang athemmo chu achan dingdol chansah jengin, chuleh themmona nei loupa chu them chansah jengin.
listen from the heavens and act. Judge your servants, condemning the guilty and bringing what he has done upon his own head. Declare the innocent not guilty and give to him according to his righteousness.
33 Nami Israelten nangma douna a achonset jeh uva agalmi hon ahin jouva chu teng amahon a themmo na’u ahin kihet uva na kom ahinbel uva hiche houin a hi ahung tou uva ahileh,
When your people Israel are defeated by an enemy because they have sinned against you, if they turn back to you, confess your name, pray, and request forgiveness from you in this temple—
34 Hiteng chule vanna konin ataona’u hin ngaijin lang nami Israelte hi a chonset na’u hin ngaidam inlang, apu apate’u nana pehna hiche gam ah hinle puilut kit tei jin.
then please listen in the heavens and forgive the sin of your people Israel; bring them back to the land that you gave to their ancestors.
35 Namite hi nangma douna a chonset jeh uva go na juhsahlou teng leh amaho a chonset na’u ahung kisih uva namin ahin pat uva hiche Houin lang ngatna ahung tao teng u-leh,
When the skies are shut up and there is no rain because the people have sinned against you—if they pray toward this place, confess your name, and turn from their sin when you have afflicted them—
36 Nangman vanna konin atao na’u hin ngaijin lang na mi Israelte hi achonset na’u hin ngaidam in. Ama hohin lampidih achepi theina diuvin hin hil’in chuleh amaho ding tumbeh a napeh gam leiset chunga hin go hin juhsah kit jitan,” ati.
then listen in heaven and forgive the sin of your servants and of your people Israel, when you teach them the good way in which they should walk. Send rain on your land, which you have given to your people as an inheritance.
37 “Ijem tia gamsung’a hi kel lhah ham ahilou leh natna hivei lang’a ham ahilou jongle anche louhing ho khaokho te ham, lungkang te ham ahung lan jeng ham ahilou leh akhopi’u hohi, min ahin delkhum jeng ham ahi louva natset ham in ahin lonvuh jeng u-ham teng,
Suppose there is famine in the land, or suppose that there is disease, blight or mildew, locusts or caterpillars; or suppose that an enemy attacks the city gates in their land, or that there is any plague or sickness—
38 Nami Israelte hin hiche Hou in lang hi ahin ngatna aban ahin jah uva ahung tao uva a hahsat na’u hi ahin lhut teng u-leh,
and suppose then that prayers and requests are made by a person or by all your people Israel—each knowing the plague in his own heart as he spreads out his hands toward this temple.
39 Hiteng chule na chenna van gam a konin hin ngaidam in. Namite hin achonna’u dung jui'a achan diuva lom chu pe jengin, ajeh chu nang in mi lungthim jouse jong nahetsohkei sa ahi.
Then listen from heaven, the place where you live, forgive and act, and reward every person for all he does; you know his heart, because you and you only know the hearts of all human beings.
40 Hitia chu nabol teng apu apate’u na na pehna hiche gam ahi achen laise uvin nangma na ging jing tauvinte,” ati.
Do this so that they may fear you all the days that they live on the land that you gave to our ancestors.
41 “Khonung teng leh nami Israelte hilou gamchom miho jong hin, nangma hina hin hedoh untin, namin jal’a gamla tah’a kon ahi hung diu ahi.
In addition, concerning the foreigner who does not belong to your people Israel: When he comes from a distant country because of your name—
42 Ajeh chu amaho hin namin loupi kithan hi ahin hetdoh diu, naban thahatna ahin bol diu chu tengleh amaho jong hou in lang hi ahin ngat uva hung tao diu,
for they will hear of your great name, your mighty hand, and your raised arm—when he comes and prays toward this temple,
43 Hiteng chule nachenna vanna konin hin ngaipeh inlang chule ataona’u chu hin sanpeh in. Hitia chu nami Israelten na hat bang uva hi Leiset chung’a mipiho jouse hin na hinna ahin hetdiu nahin gindiu ahi. Amaho jong hin namin loupi na dingin hiche Houin ka hin tundoh hi ahin hetdiu ahi.
then please listen from heaven, the place where you live, and do whatever the foreigner asks of you. Do this so that all the peoples on earth may know your name and fear you, as do your own people Israel. Do this so they might know that this house I have built is called by your name.
44 Namite hi agalteu toh kisat dinga akon uva hahsatna atoh jeh uva keiman namin loupi na ding’a kahin tundoh hiche Houin ahin ngat uva ahung tao teng uleh,
Suppose that your people go out to battle against an enemy, by whatever way you may send them, and suppose that they pray to you, Yahweh, toward the city that you have chosen, and toward the house that I have built for your name.
45 Van mun akonin ataonau hin ngaijin lang a ngaichat u hinsuh bulhit peh in,” ati.
Then listen in the heavens to their prayer and their request, and help their cause.
46 “Amahon nangma douna ahung chonset jeng uva ahileh koihi achonse khalou um am? Nangma jeng jong nalung hanga agalmiteu na josah thei ahilouleh agal miteuvin agam uva gal hing’a na kaimang sahthei jong ahi.
Suppose that they sin against you, since there is no one who does not sin, and suppose that you are angry with them and deliver them to the enemy, so that the enemy takes them away captive to their land, whether distant or near.
47 Ahinlah hiche a asoh channau migam’a chu alung’u ahin hei uva nangma kom ahinbel uva, keiho ka chonse uvin thilse tah tah bol kahi tauve atiuva ahung tao uleh,
Then suppose that they realize they are in the land where they have been exiled, and suppose that they repent and seek favor from you from the land of their captors. Suppose that they say, 'We have acted perversely and sinned. We have behaved wickedly.'
48 Hitia chu alungthim pumpi uva nangma kom ahinbel uva, hiche asohchan na’u gamchom munna kona chu nang in apu apateu nana pehna gam lang ahin ngat’u ahilou leh nang in na peh khopi lang ahin ngat’u ahilouleh namin loupina dinga kahin tundoh hiche Houin lang hi ahin ngat uva ahung tao uleh,
Suppose that they return to you with all their heart and with all their soul in the land of their enemies who captured them, and suppose that they pray to you toward their land, which you gave to their ancestors, and toward the city that you chose, and toward the house that I have built for your name.
49 Hiteng chuleh na chenna vanna konin atao nau chu hin ngai inlang ahahsatna’u hinvet peh tei jin.
Then from heaven, the place where you live, listen to their prayer and their request for help, and you will make matters right for them.
50 Chujongle na mite hi nangma douna a chonset teng uleh nangma doumah abolnau achonset nau hin ngaidam tei jin. Gal hing’a mangho agalmiteu khotona hin musah teijin.
Forgive your people who have sinned against you, and all their transgressions that they have committed against you, and make them objects of compassion before their conquerors, and cause their conquerors to have compassion on them.
51 Ajeh chu amaho namite Egypt meibang’a sa thohgim na akona na hin puidoh na deilhen nam mite ahiuve.
They are your people whom you have chosen, whom you rescued out of Egypt as if from the middle of a furnace where iron is forged.
52 Keima thilthum leh nami Israelte thilthum neihin vetpeh unlang amaho hin itih phat hijong leh na kom’a akana’u ngai peh teitei jin.
May your eyes be open to the request of your servant and to the requests of your people Israel, to listen to them whenever they cry to you.
53 Ajeh chu, O Leng chungnung Pakai nang in na soh Mose kom’a chun Israelte hi leiset chunga nam dang ho lah’a kon’a nang’a dinga nami deilhen ahiuve nana tin ahi,” ati.
For you separated them from among all the peoples of the earth to belong to you and receive your promises, just as you explained by Moses your servant, when you brought our fathers out of Egypt, Lord Yahweh.”
54 Solomon in hiche Pakai kom’a atao sunga chu akhut teni van chung langa adop sang’a ana dilsu’a ahin; taona ho leh athil thum hohi achaiphat in Pakai maicham maija chun a dingdoh in,
So it was that when Solomon had finished praying all this prayer and request to Yahweh, he arose from before the altar of Yahweh, from kneeling on his knees with his hands spread out toward the heavens.
55 Israel mipi ho jouse chu phatthei aboh in ahi.
He stood and blessed all the assembly of Israel in a loud voice, saying,
56 “Pathen chu thangvah in umhen, ajeh chu aman amite Israel tehi aman ana kitepna jouse hi einatep peh bang bang un, ki choldona phat chu eimu sah tauve. Aman alhachapa Mose akon’a ana phondohsa ana kitepna thil loupi tah ho chu khatcha athon um louvin ahin tongdoh soh kei tan ahi.
“May Yahweh be praised, who has given rest to his people Israel, keeping all his promises. Not one word has failed out of all Yahweh's good promises that he made with Moses his servant.
57 Pakai i-Pathen uvin ipu ipate’u ana umpi bang in eiho jong ei-umpi jing tauhen, aman ei dalhah da uhenlang ei-pai jong ei-pai doh hih beh u-hen!
May Yahweh our God be with us, as he was with our ancestors. May he never leave us or forsake us,
58 Imalam jouse’a ama deilam hinkho eimansah’u hen lang, chuleh ama thupeh leh Dan semho ei nitsah’u henlang chuleh alunglhaina lampia ipu ipate’u ana pui bang in eiho jong epui u-hen.
that he may incline our hearts to him, to live in all his ways and keep his commandments and his regulations and his statutes, which he commanded our fathers.
59 Chuleh Pakai anga tunia ka taona thucheng hohi asun ajan in a-angsung’a ging jing hen, hitia chu ami Israel te hi nitin i-ngaichat dung jui uva thu dih’a eipui theina diuvin.
Let these words I have spoken, by which I have made request before Yahweh, be near Yahweh our God day and night, so that he may help the cause of his servant and the cause of his people Israel, as every day will require;
60 Hiteng le chun vannoi leiset acheng mihem jousen Pakai bou hi Pathen ahi, adang aumpoi ti ahin het diu ahitai.
that all the peoples of the earth may know that Yahweh, he is God, and there is no other God!
61 Hiteng chuleh nang hon jong Pakai i-Pathen kitahna lhingsetna najui diu, chuleh a chondan holeh a thupeh ho jouse hi tuni chan geija na hinjui ahileh najui lhung kei theidi’u ahi,” ati.
Therefore let your heart be true to Yahweh our God, to walk in his statutes and keep his commandments, as on this day.”
62 Hijou chun Lengpa leh Israel mipiten kilhaina gantha abol tauvin ahi.
So the king and all Israel with him offered sacrifices to Yahweh.
63 Solomon in chamna thilto in a bongchal sangsomni le sangni atoh in kelngoite le kelcha sangsom le sangni atoh in ahi. Hiti hin Lengpa le Israel mipi ten Pakai hou in achun katdohna anei un ahi.
Solomon offered a sacrifice of fellowship offerings to Yahweh: twenty-two thousand oxen and 120,000 sheep. So the king and all the people of Israel dedicated the house of Yahweh.
64 Hiche nikho mama hin lengpan Pakai houin maiya hongcha chu athenso in ahi. Aman hikom chun pumgo thilto atoh in, lhosoh thilto jong atoh doh in chamna thil to sathao jong atoh in asuhtheng ahi, ajeh chu Pakai angsung’a kido sum-eng maicham chu pumgo thiltona, lhosoh thiltona, chamna thilto, sathaoho todoh nadinga kitung chu neo behseh tan ahi.
The same day the king set apart the middle of the courtyard in front of the temple of Yahweh, for there he offered the burnt offerings, the grain offerings, and the fat of the fellowship offerings, because the bronze altar that was before Yahweh was too small to receive the burnt offering, the grain offerings, and the fat of the fellowship offerings.
So Solomon held the feast at that time, and all Israel with him, a great assembly, from Lebo Hamath to the brook of Egypt, before Yahweh our God for seven days and also for another seven days, a total of fourteen days.
66 Hiche golvah hi a kichaisoh phat in, Solomon in miho chu a incheh a asol tan ahi. Amahon lengpa chu phatthei aboh un kipah tahle thanom tah in ain uva a kinung le tauvin ahi. Ajeh chu Pakai hi alhacha David ding leh Israel mipite dingin apha lheh jengin ahi.
On the eighth day he sent the people away, and they blessed the king and went to their homes with joyful and glad hearts for all the goodness that Yahweh had shown to David, his servant, and to Israel, his people.
