< 1 John 4 >
1 Deitah teho, Lhagaovin aseisah dana thuseiya kingaito koi koi hijongleh tahsan hih un. Nanghon amaho hung konna lhagao chu Pathen akon hinam ti patepna nei masauvin. Ajeh iham itileh themgao lhem tamtah vannoiya aumtai.
Dear friends, do not believe every spirit, but put the spirits to the test to see whether they are from God; for many false teachers have gone out into the world.
2 Hiche hi eihon Pathen Lhagao ineiyu kihetna ding ahi. Mikhat chu themgao hia akiseiya Yeshua Christa chu tahsaphe le vou pun ahunge ti aphondoh a ahileh hiche michun Pathen Lhagao anei ahi.
The test by which you may recognize the Spirit of God is that every spirit which acknowledges that Jesus Christ has come as man is from God,
3 Hinlah koi hamkhat chun themgao kahi tia akiseidoh a ahiala Yeshua chung chang thudih chu aphondoh louva ahileh, hichepa kiphondohna themgao kahi tia akisei chu Pathen a kon ahipoi. Hitobang michu Christa dou lhagao vannoiya hung ding ahi tia kisei najah u chule hichea hi uma ahitai ti nahetna dinguva ahi.
and that no spirit is from God which does not acknowledge this about Jesus. Such is the spirit of the anti-Christ; of whose coming you have heard, and it is already in the world.
4 Hinlah nangho Pathen a nahiu ahitai, kacha ngaitah teho, nanghon hiche mite hi najosau ahitai, ajeh chu nasung uva cheng Lhagao chu vannoiya cheng lhagao sanga chu lenjoa ahi.
As for you, dear children, you are God's children, and have successfully resisted them; for greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world.
5 Amaho chu vannoiya hiuva ahin, hijeh a chu vannoi lunggellam thua aseidoh jiu ahin, chule vannoiyin aseiyu angaiyu ahi.
They are the world's children, and so their language is that of the world, and the world listens to them. We are God's children.
6 Hinlah eiho Pathen a ihiuve, chule Pathen heho chun eiho sei angaiyuve. Hiche hi mikhat chun thutah lhagao aneiham, ahilouva ahileh lheplhahna lhagao changa ham ti ihetnau ahiye.
The man who is beginning to know God listens to us, but he who is not a child of God does not listen to us. By this test we can distinguish the Spirit of truth from the spirit of error.
7 Deitah teho, eiho kingailu jom jingu hite, ajeh chu ngailut hi Pathen a kon ahi. Koi hitaleh ngailutna neija chu Pathen a kon ahi. Koi hitaleh ngailutna nei chu Pathen cha ahin chule Pathen ahei.
Dear friends, let us love one another; for love has its origin in God, and every one who loves has become a child of God and is beginning to know God.
8 Hinlah koi hitaleh ngailutna neilou chun Pathen ahetlou ahi. Ajeh iham itileh Pathen chu ngailut ahi.
He who is destitute of love has never had any knowledge of God; because God is love.
9 Pathen in ichan geiya eingailut'u hitam ti eivetsahnau chu Achapa chang khatseh chu vannoiya hi ahinsol ahitai, hitia chu Ama jal a eihon tonsot hinna ineitheina dingu ahi.
God's love for us has been manifested in that He has sent His only Son into the world so that we may have Life through Him.
10 Hiche hi ngailutna tahbeh ahi–eimahon Pathen ingailut u ahipoi, hinlah Aman eiho eingailut uva chule ichonsetnau chu lahmangna dinga Achapa chu maichama ahin katdoh ahitai.
This is love indeed--we did not love God, but He loved us and sent His Son to be an atoning sacrifice for our sins.
11 Deitah teho, Pathen in hichan geiya hi eingailut'u ahijeh'in, eiho khatle khat ikingailut diu ahi.
Dear friends, if God has so loved us, we also ought to love one another.
12 Koimachan itih in jong Pathen amukhapoi. Hinlah eimaho khatle khat ikingailut touva ahileh Pathen chu eihoa uma chule Ami ngailutna chu eiho akiphondoh na ihiu ahi.
No one has ever yet seen God. If we love one another, God continues in union with us, and His love in all its perfection is in our hearts.
13 Chule Pathen in a Lhagao eipeh u hi eiho Ama a ihingun chule Ama eihoa aume, ti photchenna ahi.
We can know that we are continuing in union with Him and that He is continuing in union with us, by the fact that He has given us a portion of His Spirit.
14 Chukalval in, eimahon imit tah uvin imuvin chule tun Pa chun Chapa hi vannoi huhhingpu dinga ahinsol ahi ti iphongdoh theiyun ahi.
And we have seen and bear witness that the Father has sent the Son to be the Saviour of the world.
15 Yeshua hi Pathen Chapa ahi tia akama phongdoh ho chu asunguva Pathen chenga ahin, chule amaho Pathen a hinga ahiuve.
Whoever acknowledges that Jesus is the Son of God--God continues in union with him, and he continues in union with God.
16 Eihon Pathen in ichan geiya eingailut u hitam ti iheuve chule eihon Angailutna tahsanna chu ineitauve. Pathen hi ngailut ahi chule ngailutnaa hing jouse chu Pathena hinga chule Pathen asunguva uma ahi.
And, as for us, we know the love which God has for us, and we confide in it. God is love, and he who continues to love continues in union with God, and God continues in union with him.
17 Chule eiho Pathena ihin jeh uva, ingailutnau chamkim cheh na dinga khang khang jing ahi. Hitia hi thutanna nikhoa jong kichatna ineilou dingu ahi. Chusanga lung ngamna neiya Ama kimupina ineitheiyu ahitai, ajeh chu eiho hiche vannoiya hi Yeshua tobanga ihinu ahitai.
Our love will be manifested in all its perfection by our having complete confidence on the day of the Judgement; because just what He is, we also are in the world.
18 Hitobang ngailutna hin kichatna aneipoi, ajeh chu ngailutna bulhingset chun kichat chu anodoh ahi. Eihon kichatna ineiyuleh gimbolna chan ding kichat jal ahi, chule hiche hin Angailutna bulhingset in ihechen hih laiyuve ti avetsahna ahi.
Love has in it no element of fear; but perfect love drives away fear, because fear involves pain, and if a man gives way to fear, there is something imperfect in his love.
19 Aman eingailut masat jeh uvin eihon Pathen ingailuve.
We love because God first loved us.
20 Koiham khat in, “Keiman Pathen kangailui,” ti hen, hinlah Christian sopi khat chu hotbol taleh, hichepa chu mijou ahi, ajeh chu eihon imutheiyu miho ingailut louva ahileh, imuthei lou u Pathen chu iti ingailut dingu ham?
If any one says that he loves God, while he hates his brother man, he is a liar; for he who does not love his brother man whom he has seen, cannot love God whom he has not seen.
21 Chule Aman hiche thupeh hi eipeuve, hichu-Pathen ngailuhon a Christian chanpiu sopiho chu angailut dingu ahi.
And the command which we have from Him is that he who loves God must love his brother man also.
