< 1 Corinth 9 >
1 Keima midang ho tobanga ongthol hilouva kahim? Keima solchah hilouva kahim? I-Pakaiyu Yeshua chu keiman kamit tah a mulouva kahim? Keima natohnaa kona nangho Pakaiya hung hia nahi lou u ham?
Am I not free? Am I not an apostle? Have I not seen Jesus our Lord? Are you not my work in the Lord?
2 Midangin solchah a eigel louva ahi jongleh nangho ding beh a kahi ahi. Keima hi Pakai solchah kahi aphotchenna nangho nahiuve.
Even if I am not an apostle to others, to you at least I am; for you are the seal of my apostleship in the Lord.
3 Kathuneina chung chang thua eidongho kadonbutna hiche hi ahi.
This is my reply to my critics.
4 Keiho na-in uva kachen uva chule na-anneh nauva an kaneh mona diu ipi umem?
Have I no right to claim food and drink?
5 Solchah dangho tobanga, Pakai sopite ho le Peter in abol tobang uva Christian jinumei kakipui mona diu ipi umem?
Have I no right to take a believing wife with me on my journey, as the rest of the apostles and the Lord’s brothers and Peter do?
6 Ahilouleh Barnabas le keima bou hin kakihinso lhonna dinga na katoh lhon ngaiya ham?
Are we the only ones, Barnabas and I, who have no right to give up manual labor?
7 Ipi sepaiyin ama manchah ding akilotho ngaiyem? Lengpilei bola pang koipen'in alengpiga phabep jong nehtheina ding tha neilouva koi umem? Kelngoi hon chinga panga akelngoi phabep neh ding jong kiphal pehlou koi umem?
What soldier ever serves at his own expense? What farmer ever plants a vineyard and his flock and does not taste the milk?
8 Chule hiche hi mihem ngaidan kiphongdoh maimai ahipoi. Pathen Dan in jong hitia chu asei hilou ham?
Am I saying this on human authority only, or does not the Law also say the same?
9 Ajehchu Mose Dan in aseiye, “Bongchal'in chang achilpettah a chu anehthei louna dinga amuh nasomlou ding ahi” ati. Pathen in hiche thu aseipet'a chu bongchal ding bou agelkhoh a nagel ham?
Yea, in the Law of Moses it is written, Thou shalt not muzzle an ox while he is treading out the grain.
10 Aman eiho koma tahbeh a thu aseina hilou ham? Henge, eiho dinga kijih a ahi, hitia chu alou khoiya panga le chang chil'a panga chun, anigel lhona chang ki-atna a chu chan anei lhon ding kinem'a ahi.
Is it the oxen that God is thinking about, or is it really said for our sakes? It was written for us; because the plowman ought to plow in hope, and the thresher in hope of getting a share of the crop.
11 Kei hon Lhagao muchi nalah uva kahungtu u ahitah jeh chun, tahsalam dola neh le don thua aga kalo mona dingu umem?
If I have sown for you the seeds of spiritual good, is it a great thing if I reap from you temporal goods?
12 Nangho henga thu seiphong ho nakitho piuva ahileh, amaho sanga chu keihon kithopina lenjo kamu diu hilou ham? Hinla keihon hiche chan ding chu kamangcha khapouve. Christa Kipana Thupha daltan'a aumlouna ding phot ahileh ipi hijongleh kapedoh jo uve.
If others share this authority over you, do not I far more? Yet I have not availed myself of it, but am patiently enduring; so that I may not in any way hinder the progress of Christ’s gospel.
13 Hou-in'a natong ho khun hou-insunga hung kitohdoh hoa kona neh akimu jiu ahi geldohlou nahiuvem? Chule maichama tohna neiho khun maichama kipedoh thiltohoa khu chan aneiyu ahi.
You know, do you not, that those who minister in the temple, and those who serve at the altar, get their portion of the sacrifices?
14 Hitobangma chu, Kipana Thupha lhangsam ho chu aphatchompi hoa kona kithopina amu dingu ahi.
Even so the Lord ordained that those who proclaim the gospel should get their living by the gospel.
15 Ahijeng vang'in keiman hitiho thaneina hi khatcha kamang chapoi. Chule keiman hiche kajih hi tua pat'in keiman mangcha tange tia lunggon neiya kahipoi. Ahimongin, manbeiya Thu seiphongna a kakisonna kathuneina hi abei sangin, thi ding joh kanom'e.
But for my part, I have never availed myself of any of these rights. I do not say this to bring it about in my own case. I would rather die than let any one make void this boast of mine.
16 Ahijeng vang'in Kipana Thupha seiphonga pan hi kiletsahpi thei ahipoi: Pathen in hichehi kabol dinga kacham louva eisolna ahi. Kipana Thupha seiphong louva kaum ding chu keima dinga iti tijat um hitam?
Proclaiming the gospel gives me no ground of boasting; for necessity is laid upon me; woe is me if I preach not the gospel.
17 Keiman hiche hi ka kiham bolna a kona kabol ahileh, kalo ding lom muding kahi. Hinla keiman kilhen ding dan kahepoi, ajeh iham itileh Pathen in hiche guhthim ngansena hi eipeh ahije.
For if I do this of my own accord, I have my pay; but if unwilling, I have at least discharged my stewardship.
18 Ahileh ipi ham kalo doh ding chu? Keiman koima imacha ngehlouva Kipana Thupha lhangsapna chanpha kachan hi hiya ahi. Hiti ahijeh a hi keiman kachan dinga lom jong ngeh louva Kipana Thupha kaseiphong ahi.
What then is my wage? This, that I can make the gospel free where I carry it; and that I can refrain from using my rights as a preacher of the gospel.
19 Keima hi chamlhatna chang koima noiya umhilou kahi jeng vang in, mi tampi Christaa kapuilut theina dinga mijouse soh a kapan ahi.
Though free from all men, I make myself the slave of all, that I may win the more.
20 Keima Judah te toh kaum khom pet'in, Judah te chu Christa a kapuilut theina dingin, Judah te tobang'in danthu noiya hinkho kamangin ahi.
To the Jews I am become like a Jew, that I may win Jews; to those under the Law, like one under the Law, though I am not under the Law, myself;
21 Keima chidang namdang ho, Judah mite chonna juilou hotoh ka umkhom tengleh, keima tah jong chuche dan'a chu hing talouva kaum hi keiman amaho chu Christa a kapuilut theina ding kati ahi. Ahin keima Pathen Danthu chu nahsahmoa kahipoi: Keiman Christa Danthu chu kajuiye.
to those outside the Law, as one outside the Law, to win those outside the Law (though I am not outside the law of God, but inside the law of Christ).
22 Keima milhasam hoto kaum khomna a, keiman amaho lhahsamna chu chan kanei khompi ji e, ajeh chu keiman milhachom chu Christa a kapuilut nomin ahi. Henge, keiman mitin toh thakhat hina ding kahole, kajo chana phabep kahuhhing jou teina dinga kati ahi.
I am become weak to the weak, to win the weak. I am become all these things to all men that, by any and by all means, I may save some.
23 Keiman kabol chasun hi Kipana Thupha the chan sohna ding kati ahi chule aphattheina kahop doh nom ahi.
And I am doing it all for the gospel’s sake, that I may become a copartner in it.
24 Kilhaitetna a khu mitin lhaijia ahi, hinla mi khat in bou kipaman asan ahi. Hiti chun, jona dingin lhaiyun.
Do you not know that in a foot-race, though all run, only one receives the prize? So run that you may win.
25 Golseh a jao ho khu akithem chuh nauva phatah a kithunun na nei ahiuve. Amaho chun akem mangthei kipaman lona a abolu ahin, hinla eihon akem mang theilou ilojoh u ahi.
Every man who contends in the games continually trains himself by all manner of self-restraint. Now they do it to get a fading garland, but we, one that is unfading.
26 Hijeh a chu keima ka kalson nachan a hi doi neiya lhai kahin, ale chum'a kahipoi.
For my part, then, I run with no wavering to the goal. I box not as one beating the air,
27 Keiman golseh a lhaipa banga kabol ding dol kabol doh jou theina dinga katahsa hi kathunun ahi. Achuti louleh, midang koma thu kasei phong jouva keima tah alhinglou kahi khah ding ahi.
but I bruise my body and keep it in subjection, lest having called others to the contest, I should myself be disqualified.
