< 1 Corinth 13 >

1 Keiman leiset chunga pao jouse le vantil ho paogeiyin thothei ingting, hinla midang ngailu louvin um taleng, keima chu sum-eng kivoging le khutbeh kibeng gin tobang bep kahi ding ahi.
Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal.
2 Keiman Pathen Thu seitheina thilpeh nei ingting, chule Pathen in aguh a athilgon ho jouse hetkhenna neiyin chule mol ho jouse tolmangsoh theina tahsan chu nei nama jongleng, keiman midang chu kangailut louva ahileh, imacha kahilou hiding ahi.
And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing.
3 Keiman kanei chasun chu mivaicha peingting chule kati pumpi hi pedoh leng, hichu kaki letsah pithei ahi, hinla keiman midang chu ngailu lou hitaleng, keiman imacha phatchomna kaneilou ding ahi.
And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, and have not charity, it profiteth me nothing.
4 Ngailut hi athohhat in chule hepina nei ahi. Ngailut hi athangthip poi ahilouleh aham hoithopoi ahilouleh akiletsahpoi,
Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up,
5 ahilouleh a-engsepoi. Ama dei bou angeh gunsetpoi. Lung himo pina aneipon, chule akibol phat louna ho aching denpoi.
Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not its own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil;
6 Adih louva kibol akipapi pon, hinla thutah chun ajo tengleh akipahji.
Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth;
7 Ngailutna hi amoh lung lhadai jipoi, atahsanna alhadai jipoi, aphat tinin akinem jin, chule itobang hahsatna hijongleh athohjouve.
Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things.
8 Pathen Thusei dohna le hetlou paoho a thusei naho chule hetkhenna kidang dehset neina jong apanna bei ahung hiphat umding ahi. Hinla ngailutna hi imatih chan'a um jing ding ahi!
Charity never faileth: but whether there are prophecies, they shall be done away; whether there are tongues, they shall cease; whether there is knowledge, it shall vanish away.
9 Tua ihetthei nau hi alhasamin chule akimpon ahi, chule Pathen Thusei dohna thilpeh geiya hi aboncha hijoulou kiphasam nalai ahije.
For we know in part, and we prophesy in part.
10 Chamkimna chu ahunglhun phat tengleh, abulhing lou sehi panna beisoh ding ahitai.
But when that which is perfect is come, then that which is in part shall be done away.
11 Keima chapang kanahi chun, thusei lunggel chule ngaitona chu chapang bangin kaumin ahi. Hinla keima khangdong kahung hichun, chapang ngol naho chu kajom tapoi.
When I was a child, I spoke as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things.
12 Tua thilho hi chamkim louva phatvet a kichenlouva ivet'u tobangbep ahin, chuphat teng vangleh ijakai thengsel'a chamkim keiya imu dingu ahitai. Tua kahet jouse hi akimpon chule abulhingpoi, chuteng vangleh ijakai chamkim keiya kahet ding ahitai, Pathen in eihet chamkim kei tobang hiding ahitai.
For now we see in a mirror, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.
13 Thil thum hi aitih a umden ding ahi–tahsan, kinep chule ngailut-chule hiche ho lah a hin ngailut achungnung pen'e.
And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity.
