< Taitus 2 >

1 Ahihang nang na hile, hilna maan taw a kisi thu te hil in:
But speak thou the things that become sound doctrine:
2 Tabang in pasal khangham te sia pilvang, zatak huai, ki tek na nei, upna maan, itna le thuakzawkna nei te hi tahen.
That the aged men be sober, chaste, prudent, sound in faith, in love, in patience.

The aged women, in like manner, in holy attire, not false accusers, not given to much wine, teaching well:
4 Tabang in nupi khangmoi te pilvang tu, a pasal te le a tate it tu,
That they may teach the young women to be wise, to love their husbands, to love their children,
5 Thinsung thupi, thinsung thiangtho, innkuan keamcing te, mi pha, pasal te thu ni te hi tu in hil tu a, tabang in Pathian thu sia sonsiat hi ngawl tu hi.
To be discreet, chaste, sober, having a care of the house, gentle, obedient to their husbands, that the word of God be not blasphemed.
6 Tabangma in a khangmoi pasal te zong pilvang tu in hanthawn in.
Young men, in like manner, exhort that they be sober.
7 Na theampo ah a ettetak in nasep pha te nangma tatak in lak in: hilna taw kisai ki hilna pha ngawl kihel ngawl, zatak huai le deisakna te kilangsak in,
In all things shew thyself an example of good works, in doctrine, in integrity, in gravity,
8 Ngual i hong mawsiat thei ngawl natu in na kampau nate maan tahen; tabang in na thu a pha ngawl in a son tu uh nei ngawl in, hong langpan te a maizum tu uh hi.
The sound word that can not be blamed: that he, who is on the contrary part, may be afraid, having no evil to say of us.
9 Sila te sia amate i to te thu ni tu, na theampo ah lungkimsak mama tu le zo kik ngawl tu in;
Exhort servants to be obedient to their masters, in all things pleasing, not gainsaying:
10 Na ngu ku ngawl tu, muantak a hi na theampo taw eite nuntakna hong ngum Pathian i hilna sia kilangsak tu in hanthawn in.
Not defrauding, but in all things shewing good fidelity, that they may adorn the doctrine of God our Saviour in all things:
11 Banghangziam cile ngupna hong paipui Pathian i thuthiamna sia mi theampo tung ah kilang zo hi,
For the grace of God our Saviour hath appeared to all men;

Instructing us, that, denying ungodliness and worldly desires, we should live soberly, and justly, and godly in this world, (aiōn g165)
13 A lian Pathian le eite hong ngum Jesus Christ vangliantak in a kilang natu a thupha lametna masuan tu hi;
Looking for the blessed hope and coming of the glory of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ,
14 Eite atu in Ama le Ama a kipiakna sia, phat ngawlna theampo pan hong tan tu a, Ama kung ah a tuanngen minam a hi tu le nasep pha te atu in a thalawp te a hi tu in hong thiangthosak hi.
Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and might cleanse to himself a people acceptable, a pursuer of good works.
15 Hi thu theampo sia thuneina theampo taw hanthawn in a, tei in. Kuama in hong thusimngawl heak tahen.
These things speak, and exhort and rebuke with all authority. Let no man despise thee.
